Secret Love
At Home
Buri stretched. At last they had arrived at Jon's palace.
"Come on," Raoul pulled her out of the carriage. Buri stumbled.
"Come on. You can't really be that tired," Raoul said as she leaned on him.
"Mayhap, your evil aunt drugged me," she giggled.
"ha ha ha. I think may be you had one too many glasses of wine. "
"More like three glasses too many," Buri mumbled.
"Come on, I'll help you to your room. I'll just have you know, I am going out of my way for you, since my room is closer," Raoul said.
"No, it's okay. I can make it," Buri insisted.
"No way, look at you!" Raoul exclaimed.
Buri looked up and down herself, "I think I look quite nice."
"Yes, you do, oh, just come into my room."
"No, no, I need my bed,"Buri groaned. They stopped outside his room.
"Come on, just for a minute," Raoul said, "It's cold outside. I'll make some tea,"
"Oh....all right," said Buri, thinking Raoul looked quite handsome when he was annoyed.
Buri suddenly sobered up as she stepped into his room. She hadn't been in his room for a long time. Buri looked around. His room was large and airy, with a big double bed, messily made, and a small bathroom. The room was tastefully decorated, but around the room littered clothing and weapons.
"Your room is nice," she said, surprised,"but messy."
"What, you're so surprised?" Raoul teased.
"Well, I didn't know you had such an eye for decoration. Did you do it yourself?," she asked.
Raoul shrugged, "Yeah, basically. Kel helped a little."
"I should've known that it would be the work of a girl,"Buri said.
"Oh! Excuse me? I am just as good at arty things as a girl! I mean, even last week, I painted a really nice picture of my horse!" Raoul said, before he knew what he was saying.
"Really? Getting in touch with your feminine side, eh?" Buri teased, "Let's see it!"
"No, no, no. It was terrible," Raoul said.
"Come on, let us take a look!" Buri insisted.
"No! Anyway, I gave it to Kel," Raoul said.
"Oh, well maybe i'll go and ask her about it later. Kel is a nice girl," Buri said, "But what is this I hear about Kel getting beaten up?"
Raoul shrugged, "I don't know. It seems she's been fighting other squires. But that hasn't happened for a long time. I guess the other squires have finally accepted her."
Buri stretched out on a chair in his room while he made some tea.
"Here you go," Raoul placed a hot mug of tea in her hands.
"Thanks. Oh, so you can cook now as well?" Buri laughed.
"Yeah, like making tea really counts as cooking!" Raoul added," But I have been taking a few lessons from the cooks."
"You have got to cook for me one day!" Buri said.
"Yeah, that'll be the day!" Raoul laughed.
A silence enveloped the room as they sipped their tea quietly.
"So, um...thanks for coming with me," Raoul said, surprised. It had never been hard to talk to Buri before.
"You're welcome. It was fun," Buri said.
Raoul laughed. "Now, I KNOW you're lying."
Buri smiled, "No, actually it was. I always enjoy a nice argument." At that, they both laughed.
"Yeah," Buri said. Silence. "So...um what's the time? It must be getting late. I'd better go."
"Okay, I'll come with you," Raoul offered.
"No, it's okay, I can go myself,"Buri said.
"Okay, then...." Raoul got up and walked her to the door, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," Buri said.
"Hey...thanks again," Raoul said softly, looking down into her eyes. He couldn't help thinking how beautiful she was.
"You're welcome," she said, as she looked up into his eyes.
Raoul leaned over and kissed her on her cheek, but to his surprise, she turned her face, so he was kissing her lips. He opened his mouth in surprise, but Buri put her finger on his lips. So he bent down and kissed her, uncertainly at first, and then more passionately. It was as if they had finally realised their true feelings for each other.

Awww, how sweet.....
Okay, there you go, took me ages, but I finally did another chapter! Sorry, I had been so caught up with school and all. Don't worry, I'm trying to finish the last chapter as fast as I can. Watch out for Chapter 4.
