Warning this is an AU so I'm half going off of my imagination, and half going off what the anime had for worldbuilding, I'll also likely be bringing a lot of minor characters who weren't given a second screening after the arc they were in was over.

Humans won't exactly be the only intelligent race on the planet in this story, so expect politics, Huge wars between humans and other races, and some pretty dark themes as an added consequence of this. (Though it already had some pretty dark themes in it already)

We'll eventually reach the main plot of the anime, but it won't be until the OC and whatever character I bring in have gotten to a certain point of power, and to be honest, it might not even stay focused on the anime's main plot.

I'm hoping to make this a pretty decent story, So any creative reviews that allow me to improve are appreciated.

"Well hello there. Who might you be?" a soft high pitched voice asked the faint ringing of bells following its question caused him to groan internally managing to roll onto his back, his vision swirling and his mind almost mush as he struggled to remain somewhat coherent.

"This isn't usually a place mortals are supposed to survive in long, It's a wonder you've managed to remain in your corporeal form for this long?" The voice giggled with a sense of curiosity in its tone as he opened his mouth to reply.

"What do you mean?" He asked slightly startled to hear the faint echo and distortion of his voice, as he faintly rubbed his throat feeling the brief quaking of his own voice pass through him as another giggle soon followed his question.

"You truly have no idea of where you are?" She asked amusement and entertainment clear in her voice as he felt something incredibly cold touch his forehead, as a faint flash of light washed over his vision. "Interesting! I've never met a being so unknowledgeable of his surroundings in all my days, somehow you've somehow managed to get here without the slightest connection to me or my patrons." She muttered her curiosity growing as he felt the blurriness suddenly vanishing for a moment as a bright flash suddenly overtook him.

"I've decided you will survive this day." She said as he blinked his surroundings coming into focus and he gawked for a full minute, the seemingly endless pillars of marble white each taller than the last leading up to a throne made entirely of gold which while seeming a bit much for his tastes seemed beautifully carved with deep red markings stretching across the width of the throne.

The voice giggling once more caused him to shift his attention downward to stare down at a woman very likely in her twenties with deep bronze skin and white hair glowing with strange red markings that looked more like ancient symbols than anything wearing Egyptian-style clothing.

"I am the goddess Isis I wield the domain of magic from the very simplest tricks to the reality-defying feats the carvers dream up." She spread her gold bracelet-covered wrists widely at her sides as though trying to give him the opportunity to fully take in her grandeur.

He stared at her blankly for a moment before opening his mouth to ask a question, "Am I fucking stoned right now or something!?" He asked causing her face to crack for a moment before she burst out laughing, "I knew that guy gave me something a little too extreme when I asked him to give me something to take the edge off" He cursed scowling as he crossed his arms, ignoring the laughing women knowing she was a figment of whatever crazy drug he was on.

"Y-y-you stand at the center of all creation...And you ask if y-your stoned?" She laughed out loud her voice trailing off into a giggle as the pillars surrounding them trembled heavily as though threatening to fall over as she held her mouth struggling to contain her laughter.

"I truly have not felt this amused in ages, you mortals truly have changed for the better it would seem in the eons we've left you be? forgive me the very concept of being stoned in my palace, has left me somewhat weak at the knees I had no idea you mortals had created such unique little knick-knacks in the absence of the gods makes me wonder what else you've created." She chuckled finally getting control over her giggling as the pillars stopped shaking in place and remained firmly rooted in place as though they hadn't been shaking, to begin with.

"Even my carvers are still giggling in their sleep." She said shaking her head and exhaling the last bit of her laughter pushing a strand of her hair back slightly as she finally faced him seriously.

"But enough of my entertainment value from this, allow me to explain your current situation mortal, as I said I am a God, Not THE god but a God, and fortunately for you, you've brought me into such a good mood that I've decided to come bearing gifts to you rather than simply sending you back or outright erasing you for trespassing into my domain." She said giving him a soft smile as though they were the best of friends already.

"Ok cool," He muttered uncertainly not liking the casual way she went about saying she'd been preparing to erase him, "So where exactly am I then god?" He asked looking around as another amused chuckle soon followed the question.

"As I said, you stand at the center of all creation where all of the gods who are unable to physically interact with reality are sent or rather imprisoned...Which rather, unfortunately, consists of only me...My carvers while wonderfully talented in their own right contain no means of actually interacting with me, that is aside from the brief visions I send them to carve out my place in reality." She explained frowning in obvious dismay.

"So what's a carver then? you say it like it's supposed to have some different meaning than what I'm thinking?" He asked in curiosity causing her to crack open a small smile at his tone as she shook her head straitening up slightly as she opened her mouth to answer.

"The carvers, are what you call the true "Artists" of your kind for they consistently carve out the visions and dreams I send them in what you humans crudely call Movies or shows which gives me great power and fuels me so that I may live...Other gods over the millennia have faded and died due to the superstitious nature of you humans, but so long as you find entertainment in the things I gift to you I will continue to live, while the stronger gods remain alive on willpower alone such as the one you and I refer to as the god and others if diminished greatly." She said smiling up at him from her shorter height causing him to blink for a moment, "I remember for a time you all used to sacrifice and kill each other so much for us, and now you shirk from our grasp indulging in everything life has to offer."

"Oh wow," He muttered silently for a moment a little stunned, having the entire universe oversimplified for you in a matter of moments would do that to you, He wasn't entirely sure he liked the idea of everything being so crudely messed around with by people from above who came from nowhere, and he felt more than a little put off by the simplicity of the explanation of everything.

He wouldn't call himself a Christian by any stretch but he also wasn't exactly happy with the short explanation, It made life seem much smaller and duller by comparison to the life he'd led up to this point.

"I offer you six choices." She said flicking a hand up and showing six bronze figures each varying in build and looks that appeared more like statues than anything as she stepped forward placing a hand on his shoulder as though comforting him as she gestured towards her creations with a smile.

"Due to your original body having been destroyed when you got here and you remaining in a construct made from memory, I felt it proper to gift you a body forged from my very own power, as a key part for you to venture into whatever reality I send you into." She paused for a moment, "Bear in mind however they are restricted by whatever human forms yet still exist in the reality I will send you to?" She said with the slightest bit of uncertainly not that he noticed as he stared in open shock at the bronze statues.

"Wait a minute! you're giving me a completely new body!?" He shouted in shock as he began to stare at her in slight suspicion, wondering how and when he'd gotten suddenly so damn lucky at getting second chances.

"Yes, did I not explain only moments ago that your original body was completely destroyed?" She gave him a confused look tilting her head at an angle to stare up at him with curiosity with almost no sign of annoyance on her face or in her tone just plain curiosity.

"Oh uh, sorry yeah I just kinda blanked out?" He apologized rubbing the back of his head awkwardly gesturing for her to continue, which she only smiled at with an odd look on her face causing him to awkwardly glance up at the surrounding pillars.

"I do so enjoy your personality," She said her smile growing slightly, "I will enjoy seeing what you'll do with this opportunity."

One of the bronze figures stepped forward, its form contorting as it grew smaller and smaller until it reached roughly 4 feet tall and a bronze stretch of paper appeared in front of him, roughly the size of his face.

Dwarf

[rare]

A rather short legged but long-lived race of people who've since been cast into the deepest corners of the world by humans hunted for their hard stone-like skin ripe with raw earth magic which can be used for many unique items and potions.

Known for their quick thinking and even quicker tempers, Dwarves often find themselves drawn to the work of forging weapons and armor, offering human wizards and warriors unique and powerful items should they decide on raiding the house of their would-be victim.

Racial Traits: [Hunted] [Stone Heart] [Smithy Intuition]

Weakness: [Artillary Magic] [Undiscovered] [Undiscovered]

He carefully examined the description and its body and grimaced, the idea of being hunted for the rest of his new life didn't exactly sit well with him, causing him to easily dismiss the dwarf not seeing it melt into the floor as he faced yet another bronze statue.

Selkies

[Common]

A mythical race of adorable half men half seals from an island so far out in the world most would assume it sat on the very edge of the planet itself, they live both on land and in water due to their physiology as a result they've created two kingdoms on both and in water,

Because of their overly cautious nature, they've managed to retain very high numbers with very few beings capable of killing them in their underwater kingdom of both land and sea.

Traits: [To-Cute-To-Kill] [Animal Senses] [Water Vibration]

Weakness: [Fire Magic(Arch Type)All] [Undiscovered] [Undiscovered]

He rose a brow in surprise, this race seemed far more suited for survival and he felt almost amused by the idea of a movie or cartoon that had dwarves and tiny half-seal people in it, and nothing really came to mind when he began to think about it more heavily.

He hadn't even been able to bring up a single memory of his family since he'd gotten to this place, and he felt a small frown curl up at his lips as he tried to think about his family for the second time today only to come up with nothing.

Deciding to ask why after he'd selected his new body, he glanced up at the five other bodies and almost immediately dismissed them all because of how most of them looked alone.

"Take in mind mortal, I doubt you'll have seen most of these races in their proper realm, so try not to think too hard about the choices presented to you." She commented casually causing him to narrow his eyes slightly, feeling as though she were trying to lead him away from thinking about things related to his memories.

Deciding to think more about it later, He walked past a Forest Treant, Which was essentially a medium-sized humanoid about the size of a human with absurdly long arms and thick bark-like skin, Coming up to the third statue he easily walked past a Tree Elf which was essentially a near seven foot human with incredibly long pointed ears and androgynous features such as a soft looking face with an almost feminine curve to the male member's jawline.

None of their Traits spoke of anything really interesting either, most of them were related to the forest or something causing him to dismiss them almost immediately seeing as they stuck to a specific style of combat that just wasn't for him.

He craned his neck up to stare into the bright red eyes of a large hulking figure with a single massive rhino-like horn emerging from its skull made even more impressive by its hugely muscled bronze-covered body, blinking profusely he gave her a questioning look causing her to cough waving her hand causing a bronze strip of paper to appear in front of him.

Earth-Bound Titan

[Legendary]

Created from the blood of an extremely powerful earth dragon, the Earth-Bound Titan is said to be nearly impervious to all forms of earth-based magic they were excellent builders and warriors in their time with very few mages and warriors being able to take one of them on in a physical confrontation.

Considered extinct or lost by human wizards, Earth-Bound Titans are flesh and blood creatures made for the sole purpose of war and conflict with a very dark purpose in mind in their creation.

Traits: [Titans Resolve] [Titanic Body] [Draconic Blood]

Weakness: [Mind Magic] [Undiscovered] [Undiscovered]

"Why am I even debating this?" He muttered thinking about the type of shows that'd have something like this in it only to come up with nothing, causing him to frown and give the small goddess a short-fused look knowing she was probably partly to blame.

With the slightest bit of a grudge toward the small goddess, he finally gave her his decision with a slight frown.

"I like this one." He muttered, scratching under his chin and glancing at his other choices only to see most of them appeared to have vanished leaving behind the only option in front of him.

"Well guess I can't exactly sort through my options anymore, I can just imagine however how useful having immunity to a specific type of magic will be?" He stated stealing a quick glance in her direction hoping she'd correct his pretty weak attempt at leading her along so that he'd get some decent information as to where he was going.

"Nice try." She said dryly with a giggle, "I'm afraid you'll have to wait and see, however." She shook her in silent amusement before dismissing the other bronze statues with a wave of her hand as she gave him her full attention.

"Congratulations mortal, few are given this opportunity, and even fewer are given a choice on what they become, I look forward to seeing what you do in the future...And remember not everything is as it looks, over time you will grow to see this as more than a second chance I hope." She said smiling as his surroundings began to shake for a moment before he felt the ground suddenly give away under him as she waved a delicate hand at him.

He slowly awoke almost pitifully, glistening light slapping him lightly in the face the moment he opened his eyes stinging them slightly as he easily traced its origins into the very large opening of the very large canyon he suddenly found himself in, and for a moment he thought he heard laughter in the wind as he looked up into the clouds only for him to hear nothing once he attempted to listen in.

Staring at his bare surroundings he quickly realized the strange path set out before him with a frown, while the canyon appeared to be very wide which likely allowed people to traverse through the cavern using vehicles and horses judging by the road which looked to be very rugged and there were extremely jagged rocks lining the walls of the large canyon that made climbing damn near impossible for anyone.

Grimacing at his frankly shitty start to life, he sighed his shoulders drooping slightly as he began to make his way toward the clear road ahead that either led deeper into the canyon or outside of its foreboding walls.

Good luck!

Someone whispered as something appeared at his feet, with a crack of the air in front of him causing him to flinch slightly as he glanced downward noticing a ridiculously small torch with an equally pitiful fire trying its best to stay alive on the end of the torch.

You'll need it.

He scowled hearing a familiar set of giggles as he picked up the torch, feeling slightly pissed off with his strangely barebones start to life in this new world with practically no clue as to where he was and with no prior experience to truly living outdoors with no zero preparations in place such as a broad tent to sleep in or a car full of kitchen utensils and pre-prepared food.

"I'm so fucked out here." He muttered out loud to no one, in particular, the faint echo he received in response not helping his mood in the slightest as he slowly waved his torch around clearing the bit of fog in front of him as he realized the sky itself had darkened slightly signifying it was nearing night-time.

"Fuck literally could have sworn it was daytime a moment ago." He muttered with a frown before quickly remembering who sent him here and likely woken him up using sunlight to glare at him to get a move on.

Grumbling he set himself on the path in silence every now and again hearing a distant hollow howl from a wolf or whatever fucked up version this world seemed to offer in its place above him resounding heavily across the canyon as he moved through the canyon at a brisk pace feeling oddly energized as he made his way through the canyon.

The torch he carried sputtered and died after a few hours leaving him alone with the road ahead with no way of actually telling what sort of strange creatures lurked out in the shadows of the canyon at night.

Deciding to test the limits of his new body, he began to jog slightly hearing the satisfying crunch of his own feet on gravel as his heart began to pump wildly in his chest the energy he felt never fading as he pushed himself beyond what he would have been able to do on his very best day at the gym with zero sign of stopping or slowing down.

He continued like this with practically no exhaustion forcing him to stop or take a break, and gradually he stopped jogging altogether his extremely long muscled legs eating up the distant in front of him as he picked up speed hearing the distant shattering of the ground behind him as he moved.

BOOOOM*

BOOOOM*

BOOOOM*

He nearly snapped out of his strange new high in shock realizing he was moving like a giant freight train towards a rather large vehicle with a small group of people at its back shouting as they leveled glowing staffs in his direction with visible terror at the rising dust cloud he created in his trampling run.

Skidding to a halt before he could crash into the vehicle, he just barely stopped his momentum when he felt something heavy and painful connect with his chest forcing back a few steps in shock as he stared in the direction of where that something came from to see a clearly terrified man holding glowing staff up with a shocked look.

"Wh-who goes there! I should warn you, you stand before a member of the grand magic council!" Someone shouted from the back of the small group as the strange men holding staffs slowly made way for an old man draped in heavy robes with a balding head and seemingly flourishing long hair that made him look like a failed century-old rockstar.

"I am Org, of the magic council speak up giant!" He shouted his voice sounding hoarse with a tinge of nervousness to his tone as he squared his shoulders bravely, clearly trying his best to sound confident.

"I'm uh-" He muttered out almost incoherently for a moment whatever he was going to say dying on his lips as he quickly realized he couldn't quite remember his own name causing a scowl to cover his face as he realized the goddess had done much more than simply give him a new lease on life.

"I'm Bruin." He stated with as much confidence as he could muster, having come up with the name on the fly, feeling oddly pressured by the looks he received after going silent for a few minutes to think about it.

"Well, Bruin as I have said I am Org of the magic council please explain your sudden charge of our caravan?" He questioned coughing into his fist awkwardly, as he looked up at him through a single eye with a slash mark running upwardly across it.

"I wasn't really charging you, so much as trying to get through this giant canyon as quickly as possible without having to deal with any aggressive natives?" He explained noticing the baffled looks he received as he watched the older man step forward and speak up.

"This canyon houses no such aggressive monsters in its walls, this would be an utterly deplorable environment for even the most hearty of monsters?" He explained with a furrowed gesturing slightly with a single hand toward the empty landscape with a clear road leading forward or backward depending on your perspective.

"Oh," He muttered feeling slightly dumb in being worried about his surroundings, "I guess I'm a little new around here, sorry for scaring you?" He apologized as he moved forward intent on moving past them only to watch them tighten their formation before he could do so.

"Apologies, but we're not quite done talking yet." The older man stated sternly, causing him to frown as he watched as long gnarled staffs began to glow one after another each one directed in his direction raising the hair on the back of his neck as he stared down at the considerably shorter man.

He felt his hands twitch slightly, a strange heavy feeling in his chest as he stared at the robed group of soldiers nervously clutching their staffs watching him as he faced their commanding officer who frowned at him.

Adrenaline and aggression surged throughout his body everything coming into focus with perfect clarity as he gave them a look reminiscent of focused intensity and clear caution as he lowered his shoulder planning on charging them headfirst in order to start the confrontation before they did.

"Halt! we mean you no harm, we only wish to ask you questions!" Org shouted panicking looking more than a little startled by his sudden aggressiveness as he stared at them like an animal observing a packed-together ball of meat ripe for the taking.

Eying them for a moment, he slowly stood back up from his aggressive-looking charge, noticing the soldiers visibly relax as he did this hearing an almost relieved sigh from some of them as he focused in on the leader of their caravan ignoring them for the moment.

"Ok?" He grumbled uncertainly, watching the man carefully as he waved a hand at his surroundings with a slightly frustrated look.

"Ahem! you are clearly not a native of this continent, So allow me to explain to you where you are giant." Org stated with a serious look, "As I said, I am Org and you tread the sacred border between ishgar and its surrounding forbidden continents, Only members of the magic council or natives from any of those specific regions are capable of crossing over the hidden border should they find it." He explained with a frown as he tapped his staff into the floor his staff glowing dimly.

"And that leads me to my next question giant, are you friend or foe, your answer to the inquiry will determine whether we fight you to the last man or not." He said sternly, rushing a hand through his thick beard as the shoulders behind him quickly entered their engrained formation.

Now that the strange panic and adrenaline he felt wasn't coursing through his body, he easily began to pick on quite a few details about the group that he'd missed before, for instance, most of them looked exhausted beyond belief which explained their relieved looks after he'd relaxed his shoulders, they also appeared very battered and bruised with some of them having shredded robes or were missing the heavy robes entirely as they stared at him.

He furrowed his brow thoughtfully for a moment, he wasn't quite as interested in fighting them as he was before, and their dejected looks and slumped shoulders said they weren't quite interested in fighting him either.

"I'm not here to cause trouble, or to harm anyone once I cross the border...In fact, I'd be more interested in outright citizenship if the offer were on the table?" He questioned seriously, causing the higher-ranking official to blink openly at him for a moment with a slightly baffled look.

"I-Well I'm sure we'd be more than happy to give you such a deal, uh Leitenant go and grab an official citizenship document, I'm certain we can sort this out here and now." He shouted over his shoulder causing one of the guards to quickly break formation and quickly rush inside the large caravan with a hurried pace.

"Take heed of the importance of your resume on this document, It will determine your outright threat level once we've gotten this back to the Magic council headquarters, However as a precautionary practice you will be forced to wear a Sonar Lacrima meant to track your movements until we've fully established your citizenship, It will glow blue once we've fully signed all the paperwork for your indoctrination into the kingdom of Fiore at which point you may head to the nearest Magic council outpost to have it removed from your person." He said pausing to take the clipboard with paper stapled to it from the person he sent off, "Are these terms acceptable Bruin?" He inquired holding out the clipboard.

"Yes." He nodded accepting the clipboard and quickly began to sign all of the strange questions on the resume with a furrowed brow as it questioned him on his type of magic which he answered none, his race, and his social views on other people, feeling slightly annoyed with having to go through all this trouble just to pass through them without having to force his way through.

"Good." He stated stoically as he held out a strange gold wristband with single bleeping light on its center, still more than slightly uncertain he stared at the held-out wristband with a frown deciding to ask a few questions concerning the lacrima before he went through with it.

"So what exactly will this do to me once I put it on?" He asked unsurely looking up from the lacrima to stare intently into the council member's eyes searching for a lie on his face with a frown.

"It is truly as simple as I said, this will allow us to keep track of you through a receiving sonar lacrima on the continent of Fiore, So we'll know exactly where you are at all times as a precautionary measure." He snorted waving him off as he held out the wristband expectantly causing him to sigh finally relenting to his silent prodding.

"Fine." He muttered taking the wristband and slapping it on his wrist feeling it tighten slightly with a purple glow, casting a quick glance back at the council member he realized the shorter man was walking away from him back to his carriage.

"You may proceed into the land of Fiore, May I be the first of many to welcome you into our grand kingdom of sorcery and architectural prowess." He grunted and cast a small nod over his shoulder as he ducked back inside his carriage.

"Step aside for the newcomer." He ordered calmly from his carriage, causing the small grouping of guards to make way for him as he passed by them without easily so much as a second glance in their direction as he immediately began to jog into a run toward the awaiting road ahead.

"The fuck was that conversation, He was straight up talking like somebody from the Middle Ages ." He muttered his feet pounding on solid grass by the time he got far enough away from the large carriage at his back, before slowly coming to a stop upon nearing the end of the grassy valley, he looked around intently.

A billowing field of grass stood out to him, along with a sea of dead decaying creatures of varying sizes splayed out across the grass their lifeblood dripping onto through the blades of grass staining it a crimson red rather than a calming green.

*SCREEECH*

A hollow shriek boomed from above as the very clouds ruptured apart to make way for a creature, that he'd never thought he'd ever see out of books or fiction a pair of large grey talons outstretched as it lurched toward him like an eagle grasping at a very juicy-looking rabbit with its huge talons.

Stunned and shocked he opened his mouth as it cleaved right through the earth to grab at him black tendrils of energy rippling through its heavy claws, "Oh sh-shit!" He shouted.
