A random idea I had in class. I've barely started to write again and kinda rushed on this so I apologize if there are any errors.
It had been a good 2 hours since Balto started to search for the team.
But he found them, all huddled close together by the sled. He contemplated a way to get down the big slide of snow when he felt a paw slip on the ice. ''Woah!'' He examined the branches making sure he didn't get hit or scratched by them. Star noticed a rawboned figure in the distance. He didn't recognize it and squinted his eyes. ''Balto?!''
Kaltag and Nikki shook the snow from their heads to see what Star was talking about. ''Balto?! How did you find us?!'', Kaltag asked. Balto skidded to a halt and caught his breath. ''Is anyone hurt?'', He asked the dogs. A cold-blooded, barbaric Steele covered in snow faced his back to the wolf-dog, slowly turning his head to him.
''Everyone...is...fine...'' He replied in a brutal tone.
''Yeah, but our musher hit his head! And he's not getting up...'' Star told Balto as he nudged the musher's arm. ''And he's not moving'', Nikki added.
''Alright'', Balto replied. ''Follow me. I can lead you home.'' He took the harness in his mouth and walked to the head of the sled. Suddenly, a vast tug on the harness jerked and stopped Balto in his tracks. ''We don't need your help!'', Steele growled.
''M-maybe you should let him help us, Steele!'' Star exclaimed timidly. The broad malamute gave Star a vexed look and snapped at him. Star yapped and hid his muzzle in his front paws. ''Well, how would you get us home?'', Nikki asked.
''First, I mark the trees like this...'', Balto jumped on the nearest tree, clawing some bark from the trees. The others gasped, amazed at Balto's method. A furious Steele jumped on the tree and knocked it out of it's roots, curling his lips and walking towards Balto. ''I'll get us back! I'm the lead dog! I'm in charge!'', He barked at Balto.
''Then let me take back the medicine! They're getting sicker'', Balto mumbled as he walked towards the sled with the box of serum. Steele jumped in front of him and snapped. ''Touch that box and I'll tear you apart!''
''Two bones says Steele will take him!'' Nikki said.
''You're on'', Kaltag responded.
'
'I'm not leaving without that medicine'', The wolf dog moved to Steele's side and trotted to the harness. Steele striked Balto on his side, sending him tumbling to the floor. ''Who do you think you are?'', He asked. ''Since when do you need a pedigree to help someone?" Balto recovered mid air from the attack and walked to the box. Steele again jumped in the box and growled ferociously at Balto.
''Steele, let me help you!'' Balto said. He snarled and eyed him with his piercy blue eyes. Balto ignored him and walked past to the sled. Steele jumped to the box and shoved Balto, pushing him to the side. Wolf dog tumbled to the floor and shook his fur, walking towards him. ''Steele, I don't wanna fight..'' He grabbed Balto by the scruff and threw him away from the sled.
Steele walked away, thinking Balto was finished. But he got up and walked to the sled. Steele snapped at Balto, knocking over the box of Serum. Balto gasped in shock. All the other dogs circled around Balto and Steele, interested in the fight.
Steele grabbed Balto by the leg, clamping it. A loud crunching sound was heard. Balto howled in pain, clawing Steele and growling. The malamute swung Balto around and threw him against the rock.
Balto tumbled on the floor and laid there. The dogs gasped.
Steele examined the wolf-dog's body, watching for any sign of life. He took slow breathes and realized Balto was dead. He slowly chuckled, his chuckle turned into a bloodthirsty laughing. The other dogs gasped in shock and realized how evil Steele truly was. It was disgusting.
He walked over to Balto's lifeless corpse and took Jenna's bandanna in his mouth. ''Good luck getting back to Nome now, losers!'' He snorted and took off.
That's all for now! As I said, this was kind of rushed because college and all that stuff. Reviews & favorites are appreciated!
