The changes over the next four years were subtle at first, until they became life-changing. The others didn't notice. They weren't too blinded by the supposed joy of having a new member in the family. But Phil noticed. Oh he noticed all of it. Every noticeable shift. Every slight change. Every single thing. Nothing got past Phil. But for whatever reason, he chose not to say a word. After all, he was a grown man. He had no right to blame this young Avian for his life's struggles.

But the changes worried him. Even if he didn't say anything. However, the final straw was April 9th, the date they had decided would be Theseus' or as Wilbur had started calling him, Tommy's birthday. Just a handful of weeks prior, Kristin suddenly got sick. Violently sick, with something incurable. Her feathers began to wither, no longer the beautiful ebony they once were but rather, a seldom weakened gray. It was Phil who had to reassure the boys that she'd be okay on days when the coughing was so bad, it ruined her vocal cords.

But on the morning of April 9th, Phil had woken his three sons and were heading his and Kristin's bedroom in order to celebrate Tommy's birthday. He was turning 2 years old and Kristin had said she wanted to spend the day with him. So he and the twins had made plans to take Tommy and celebrate in the bedroom.

Cold. That was how she felt. Cold. Empty. Gone. Kristin was gone. Just like that. With a blink of an eye, she wasn't breathing. It was the first thing they'd noticed when they walked into the room that morning. How did Phil not see it when he got up? How had he been so blinded by the day's festivities that he'd forgotten to check on whether his wife was alive? What kind of husband was he?

Phil watched as Techno rushed out of the room to call authorities. While all Wilbur did was stand still, holding Tommy tightly in his arms as if to shield the toddler away from the terrible scene of his mother- their mother- dead in bed. But what froze Phil, chilled his blood, was the hollow look in the toddler's sky blue eyes.

That day was years ago now, specifically it was over sixteen years ago. For years, nobody told Tommy that Kristin was dead. But as a child, he'd clearly had vague memories of her. Often asking things like, "Where's Mommy?" and "When's Mommy coming back?" once he was old enough to speak in full sentences. One of the twins would often notice the shift in their father's behavior, and it'd usually be Wilbur to go over and distract Tommy from his questions.

But things got worse when Tommy began to speak about a woman. When he was around 6 or 7, he'd go outside to play and always come back 30 minutes early. When asked how he knew to come back at this time, all he would answer is, "The woman told me to." He never answered further questions, no matter how much they prompted him to. Eventually he gave more details on who the 'woman' was. But Phil wishes he hadn't.

Tommy began to describe the woman as dressed in a black dress and matching veiled hat, large black wings out her back with long brunette hair and a gentle look on her face. He even went as far as to say that she "looks at me the same way Wilby does." That was the second time the young Avian had chilled Phil's blood. Wilbur could often be seen looking at his younger brother with such adoration, as if he loved nothing more in the world.

That was the same way Kristin would look at the boys. As if they were the light of her life. As if she loved them more than all the World could offer her. Phil began avoiding Tommy more and more after that. He couldn't bear to hear about the woman who shared so many similarities to his deceased wife. Not from a child who couldn't even comprehend the weight of death.

But now, Tommy is 18. Almost 19. Yet Phil still won't speak to him. Not alone at least. Is Tommy the only one who finds it strange that despite having his father in his life, the man is practically a stranger?

Queen Elisaria was a simple being, despite being quite the opposite of simple. She was well known as the Ender Dragon, Queen and God of the End. But when it came to her children, the Enderians, she was just Elisaria, their overly doting mother. Elisaria loved her children and the joy they brought to her life, she would do anything to keep them safe. But she couldn't always be just 'Elisaria', she also had to be the Queen, the fearsome Ender Dragon, the God of the End. That was the main part of her existence she disliked.

But she remembered the day it all changed. The day she knew her life wouldn't be the same. November 2nd, the date her next reproduction cycle was to be complete. Reproducing as an Enderian creature was strange, however. Unlike Overworld creatures, End creatures never experience pregnancy. Rather, if they ever just think longingly for a child, then about nine months later and they'll have one. It's mostly a waiting process. One Elisaria has become accustomed to.

But this cycle would be special. Normally, End creatures can reproduce without the inclusion of a second partner. But for this one cycle, Elisaria had chosen someone special to have this one with. They were unable to visit for the cycle, of course with their duties and all, but what mattered was that this would be their shared child. A child raised between two realms instead of one.

The moment Elisaria's eyes landed on the little bundle of joy, she knew he was going to be special. Every mother believed that, didn't they? But there was something about this one, something that screamed just how unique he was going to be. Elisaria already had two sons at this point, both with their own oddities. Prince Bad looked like your average Enderian, black skin, horns, tail, fluffy black hair, but what stood out about the now 9 year old was his completely white eyes. And strangely, it was a trait he shared with his 5 year old brother. Prince Eret also had the average appearance of an Enderian, except his hair was curly and brown rather than black, his eyes also being completely white just like Bad's.

These weren't any traits of Elisaria's though. While she also had the average look of an Enderian, her hair was white and her eyes purple with the sclera being a vibrant green. Large dragon wings protruded out her back, a trait neither of her sons would ever have. But this one.. This one.

The baby in her arms was probably one of the strangest she'd ever seen. It was almost like he was completely split in half. One half white and the other black, and when he opened his eyes, Elisaria couldn't help but gasp. The green and red of his eyes didn't alarm Elisaria, no, it only reiterated just how special this boy would be. Elisaria smiled, holding the baby closer.

"Ranboo.. I'll call you Ranboo." she purred.

Well, today was certainly awful. The rain was pouring down and Schlatt had gotten into another fight with his sister after he had gotten shitfaced drunk again. But there wasn't really anything he could do besides leave when she told him to. A part of Schlatt felt guilty for all the bullshit he often put his sister through. In all honesty, he wouldn't blame her if she ever just chose to abandon him.

Suddenly, Schlatt stumbled forward. Looking down, all he saw was a box. Really? Was he so out of it as to trip over a goddamn box? But then, something caught his eye. On the box was the word 'TUBBO' written in black permanent and messy ink. Curiosity sparking, Schlatt bent down and opened it. Inside was what appeared to be a baby bumblebee holding a small plush, not even a year old yet. The older man paused, had someone actually abandoned a child here?

Without a second thought, Schlatt lifted up the baby bee from the box. "Welp, I guess you're my problem now." he chuckled as he turned around and began walking back home.

The second that Schlatt walked through the front door, he immediately saw his sister, Puffy, standing there with a disapproving look on her face. But it changed to shock once her gaze landed on the baby in Schlatt's arms. "Schlatt.. Where did you get that baby?" she asked. "Relax, I didn't kidnap 'em. I found him in a box on the sidewalk." he explained. Puffy let out a sigh, "And you thought it'd be a good idea to just take him in? Do you really think you're father material?" Schlatt shrugged, "Probably not. But doesn't hurt to try, does it?"

Puffy stared at her brother as if he was the biggest idiot in the entire World. He really went out and found a random baby and decided it was a good idea to try and raise it. Didn't he know how much work children were? "Are you serious about wanting to raise him?" she asked. "Yep. His name's Tubbo." Puffy sighed one last time. Looks like life is going to be a lot different from here on. Maybe having this new addition to the family would help Schlatt out of his drinking habits. But a part of Puffy doubted that.
