Mavis was happy. Truly happy. She hadn't been like this for quite a while now. 2 years to be exact. Ever since she had stepped on that cruise ship, she hasn't really been at peace. First, it was about her father acting strange. Then it was about her father allegedly leaving her for Ericka. Then it was about Erika killing her father. Then it was about her dad spending more time with Ericka than her. then it was about the mishap and the tiff between Johnny and her dad. And then it was about her dad's hotel getting destroyed by the monster guinea pig.

Wow…all these reasons revolve around her dad. Well, he is Count Dracula, so something will always happen if he is around. but she loved her dad. A lot. It had been only the two of them, after all. But now, she had a whole family. A loving husband, an adorable son, friends an even a new mom. She wasn't sure how she felt about Ericka being her mom, but if she made her dad happy and didn't hurt him, she was fine.

The cold breeze brushed her face and she glanced at the full moon. She sighed happily.

"Looks like someone's happy." She turned around. Her husband, Johnny, wrapped his hands around her waist and gave her a chaste kiss. She gave him a toothy grin, with fangs and all.

"Yes, everything is normal now. It feels like we've finally gotten a break." Mavis replied.

"I guess you're right." Johnny commented.

"Where's Dennis?" Mavis inquired.

"He's sleeping in. We stayed up late last night playing video games and he got tired." Johnny sheepishly replied.

She chuckled and turned around to face the scenic beauty once again. With her vampiric abilities, she could see the new Hotel Transylvania standing tall, basking in the moonlight.

"I can't believe we get to go back in only a few hours. Do you think dad and Ericka will like it?" Mavis asked uncertainly.

Johnny patted her shoulder. "Of course, Honey. You did an amazing job with the hotel. You dad is gonna love this. And Dennis and I already love it." he said optimistically.

"Thanks, Johnny. You truly always know what to say." Mavis kissed Johnny's cheek.

Johnny smiled. "Well, isn't that one of the reasons why you married me? anyway, let's get ready. We don't wanna be late."

Mavis nodded. she entered back into the Inn's bedroom but, before closing the balcony door, she looked at the hotel one last time.

"I'm coming home." She breathed out. she smiled one last time and closed the door.

"Mavis, this is amazing!" Frank exclaimed as he looked at the electric lanterns and torches in awe.

"Thanks, Uncle Frank. Now you and Aunty don't have to fear about fire." Mavis joyfully said.

"We're so proud of you." Wanda praised.

"Thanks. Plus, we also have a pool bar, a mini disco club, babysitting service- "

"WHERE?!"

"Uhm, the 3rd floor?"

Wayne and Wanda were gone. Mavis just shook her head fondly. Those two really deserved a break, and not the one where they were tranquilised and locked in a closet.

Speaking of which….

"Daaad, what do you think?"

Drac looked around and took everything in. almost everything was the same. The colour palette, the ambience. But one thing was different. This hotel was now a place for monsters to be happy, to enjoy, and not to find shelter from the cruel human world. He looked at the monsters and humans talking in the lobby and laughing. He turned his attention to his hand, which was tightly grasping his beautiful wife's hand. They were the perfect example of the peace between humans and monsters, well, after Mavis and Johnny, of course. I mean, they were the ones who changed his view towards humans. But he never imagined that a Dracula and a Van Helsing could ever be together. And now he stood in his-no Mavis' hotel. He was in awe of her. His little baby was all grown up

"It-it's, I don't have the words for it, Mavy. It's amazing. I'm so proud of you, my little blood orange." Drac said.

Mavis' eyes lit up. "Really, dad?" Drac nodded. Mavis jumped and crushed him into a big hug. Drac responded with equal excitement.

I must say," Ericka spoke after they separated, "You've done a great job, Mavis." Ericka extended her arm, not sure what she should do, but Mavis engulfed her in a hug as well.

"Th-thanks, Ericka." Mavis stuttered, feeling warm in her chest. Although it wasn't a lot, but she felt the comfort of a mother when she hugged her.

"Now," Mavis said after a while, "I'll go to the front desk. Johnny can't do all the work." She pointed towards a struggling Johnny, who was talking to 4 people while being on the phone.

"Wait." Ericka said. Mavis raised an eyebrow.

"I wanted to talk to you about something. In private." She pointedly looked at Drac, who gave a shocked expression, "In the meantime, Drac will handle everything, won't you?" she said sweetly.

"But- "Mavis tried to say.

"Please." Ericka said.

Mavis paused. "Fine. Don't get used to it dad."

Ericka smiled and led her outside of the hotel.

"What is it, Ericka?" Mavis suddenly panicked. "Oh, no. don't tell me you and dad are leaving."

"What, no! it's about…security issues." Ericka revealed.

"What are you talking about? We have excellent staff." She looked at the zombies who were trying to pick a fight with one of the gargoyles.

"Yeah, yeah, that's great. I'm talking about the forest. Well, part of it, which does not come under the park."

"Did something happen?" Mavis asked nervously.

Ericka sighed. "I think I saw…vampires."

Mavis' eyes widened. "What do you mean you saw vampires? That's not bad. They rarely come to the Hotel! This is so exciting."

"Well," Ericka started, "They seemed dangerous. Like how Vlad was when he first came to the Hotel, as far as I know."

"Holy Rabies." Mavis muttered. "But what if they were just coming to the hotel to stay and you just misunderstood?"

"Something seemed off. Especially with the girl with platinum-blonde hair. It's as if they were doing something wrong."

"You saw a girl with platinum-blonde hair?!" Mavis exclaimed.

"You know her?" Ericka asked.

"N-no." Mavis lied. She couldn't tell anyone. No one could ever know.

Ericka eyed her sceptically but didn't say anything. "I just want you to be careful. If there's anything, let me know, ok?" she patted Mavis' shoulder and went inside. Mavis looked ahead of the bridge and into the forest.

She was here.
