Back on the battlefield, Rika stood behind Rider, hiding as best she could.

C'mon, Rider, c'mon! Rika encouraged him silently, willing her energy to him. She even threw a few punches at the air in tandem with Rider's attacks. He was unusually quiet, she noted. His thunderous laugh and witty barbs were mysteriously absent. No, not mysteriously. She knew exactly who was taking up all of Rider's focus and energy…

"I guess I didn't need my machine after all!" Kayneth laughed coldly. "Your Master was enough of a coward to do all the hard work for me!" He spread his arms as Lancer moved in for another attack. He was somewhat regretful that he was unable to see just how well his invention truly worked, but getting to revel in the confirmation that Waver really was all bark and no bite was more than worth it.

Impudent child! For all his talk about magic born of non-magical blood, all he'd done was prove time and again why Kayneth's position on the matter was the correct one! All he had to do was finish Rider, then he was free to do what he pleased with Waver! But… Rider was holding up against his device better than expected. Before, his movements were slow and awkward, but was it just Kayneth, or… was Rider getting stronger?

"Lancer! Finish him!" Kayneth finally cried. Lancer nodded and prepared to use his Noble Phantasm, but right before he could, there was an explosion of sound. "What the—?!" Kayneth whipped around, and so did Lancer and Rider and Rika, but only she recognized the sound.

Floor Killer? Saori? Rika felt her heart jump in her chest. This was going to draw Kayneth and Lancer right to her and Waver! But… No, I have to trust her! Saori wouldn't have done this if she didn't have a plan in mind!

Kayneth forgot all about Rider in his surprise and fury. He knew Waver must've been responsible, but what truly scared him was the realization of where the awful, obnoxious music was coming from…

"Lancer! Come!" he snarled, and Lancer immediately retreated away from Rider and back to his Master's side.

"Rider! Quickly! We have to get to Saori and Waver before they do!" Rika finally jumped out of her hiding spot.

Rider was shaking his head, waking up. He blinked and turned around. "Rika! So, it worked?!"

"Yes, but not for long," Rika pointed after Kayneth and Lancer urgently. Rider understood at once.

"I'll do you one better," he decided, then he whistled, and a second later, a golden portal opened up at his feet. A massive chariot came bursting out of it, pulled by giant, black, armored bulls with long, deadly horns.

"WOAH!" Rika's eyes and mouth went wide as Rider took the reins. With one hand, he easily picked her up and placed her beside him. "DOUBLE WOAH!" Rika cried, gripping the edge of the chariot as her face split into a wide grin. Rider snapped the reins and the bulls charged. Rika was jerked back by the forward momentum, but she did not fall out of the chariot.

More magic, she reasoned as she and Rider were sent skyward.

"I'm going to hold them off! You get to Waver and Saori!" Rider thundered over the chariot's wheels.

"What?!" Rika whipped her head to the side to look him in the eye, her own wide. He only gave her a mischievous smile before holding the reins out to her. For a moment, Rika could only gawk. And then… "TRIPLE WOAH!"

The chariot easily overtook Kayneth and Lancer. If he's the King of Conquerors, I'm the Princess, and she has made her advent!

"WHAT THE—?!" If Kayneth had been angry before, he was livid now. "HOW?!" And when he caught sight of the girl standing beside Rider, he gave another cry of fury, but the capacity for words had left him.

So… Waver brought little friends along!? Even though it was only a thought, Kayneth managed to spit the word "friends". Minions, more like… He wondered how much Waver had paid them. How low he was truly sinking, employing other non-magical mortals into the Grail War!

"Lancer! Kill them both!" For a second time, Lancer's attention was divided as he turned back to Rider.

"That's my cue to go!" Rider bellowed, shoving the reins into Rika's hand and vaulting over the side, drawing his sword at the same time. Kayneth realized immediately what was happening and he snarled again. Lancer could hold Rider, but Kayneth could never keep up with the orange-haired stranger so long as she was controlling Rider's chariot.

But what an even bigger scandal and disgrace that was! Allowing mortal hands to soil something of a Heroic Spirit's? There were no words to accurately describe the amount of contempt Kayneth felt at that moment, for Rider and Waver and the girl. But there was no time to dwell on the contempt. That girl was going to help Waver, and given where she was headed…

Kayneth moved as fast as he could, but sure enough, Rika was faster. She steered the chariot with one hand, shouting commands to the bulls while, with her other hand, she reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone.

"I know texting and driving is illegal, but…" Was driving a chariot the same as driving a car? It wasn't as if there was anyone around to arrest her anyway! And even if they did, they would probably arrest her for breaking and entering before they arrested her for texting while… charioteering.

Coming in Rider's chariot. Duck. Saori barely had time to read the text before she heard the bulls roaring outside.

"Get down!" she shrieked, tackling Waver. A second later, the roof caved in as the bulls smashed clean through. Saori and Waver both shrieked this time, but after the dust settled, they saw Rika's grinning face towering over them. She waved from the chariot while the bulls huffed and puffed.

"Wait. He let her drive the chariot?!" Waver cried. "He never let me drive the chariot!"

"I think that's the least of our worries right now…" Saori's voice and body were shaking like leaves.

Rika, meanwhile, was literally having a blast. "I AM THE RELLIK-ROOLF!"

"Wait. The… what?" Saori and Waver blinked. As shaken as they were by Rika's grand and dramatic entrance, her… words caught them off guard.

"Rellik-Roolf!" Rika repeated proudly. Saori and Waver still looked mystified. "Floor Killer backwards," she explained with a chuckle. "Since roof is floor backwards." Saori and Waver looked slowly at one another, then slowly back at Rika.

"Uhhh, no it's not." Saori was the first to speak. "There's no "L" in roof…"

"Oh. Huh." Rika paused, but then a second later, a mischievous smirk appeared on her face. "Are you sure? Because Kayneth's roof sure just took a major L!" She looked so proud of her little joke, but both Saori and Waver groaned and slapped their foreheads.

"Please don't ever say that again," Saori sighed.

"Awww, come on, Saori! You can't blame me! Not after you started blasting "Floor Killer"!" Rika grinned broadly.

"Ah, about that," Saori smiled in embarrassment. "We just weren't able to get the device fully destroyed, and all I could think of was a sonic attack." She didn't want to admit it, but Rika wasn't her only inspiration for that little idea, even though it was a very Rika thing to do. Perhaps Waver was somewhat of an inspiration as well, his work with magic having reminded Saori of her work with DJing in the first place.

"Oh! I think I can help with that!" Rika's broad grin turned savage and she gestured for Waver and Saori to toss the battered machine into the chariot. Waver raised an eyebrow, but Saori was much quicker to trust Rika, immediately crouching down over the machine.

"Help me pick this up!" she told Waver. That was another reason it was good they'd avoided the battle. Neither of them were very physically strong. Waver still seemed reluctant, but Saori had earned some of his respect with her clever, albeit unorthodox and ear-splitting, idea from earlier.

"I'm going to fly this thing up and out real quick, then I'll BRB!" Rika promised, and before Waver or Saori had time to say anything, Rika was suddenly gone again, somehow reversing the chariot back out the giant hole now in Kayneth's warehouse's roof.

Saori and Waver could see the moon and Waver shook his head. "That girl is… something else."

"Isn't she?" Saori agreed, and he couldn't tell if she sounded equally exasperated as him, or admiring and affectionate.

The wind whistled past Rika's ears as she steered the bulls up at an incline so steep, they were nearly climbing straight up. It was definitely magic, because despite the impossible angle, neither Rika nor the machine were ever in any danger of falling out. Only when Rika could no longer stand her popping ears and the cold, thin air did she stop the chariot. It hung suspended in the sky, countless feet above ground.

"Now, without further ado…" Rika smiled to herself as she tipped the machine out the back of the chariot. As soon as she pushed it past the edges of the chariot, gravity took over and it plummeted. At first, she considered trying to drop it on Kayneth or Lancer, but to her regret, she was forced to scrap the idea. Not only were they still inside, meaning that she wouldn't get enough altitude to really destroy the machine, but she didn't want to risk them somehow finding any pieces of it to salvage. Surely a fall from this height would neutralize whatever Waver could not!

But still, I'm glad he was able to do as much as he did! Rika thought as she steered the bulls back down towards the warehouse. If it weren't for his brilliant use of magic, the machine wouldn't have been weakened enough for Rider to come back, and for him to give Rika his chariot. It's exactly like I told him before! We needed him! She hadn't just been saying that to be nice. Now, though, it was time to get back to them, and before Kayneth did! As much of an edge as the chariot gave Rika, it wouldn't give her forever.

Sure enough, she managed to arrive right as Kayneth closed in on the room that used to house his precious invention.

"YOU—!" He could barely even speak as he slammed open the door. For a second time, Waver and Saori jumped back with twin shrieks, clutching at one another. They both went pale when they realized who it was. Kayneth drew a gun from a pocket inside his coat, but even through her panic, Saori managed to twist and thrash around enough to turn on the sonic attack again.

The "speaker" she and Waver managed to cobble together from the spare parts they found scattered around the upper floors of the warehouse was not facing Kayneth, but the music was still so loud that it caught him off guard and shook the room, nonetheless. It only bought Waver and Saori a few seconds, but any seconds were better than none. Once again, Rika came to their rescue, only this time, it was her voice as she belted out the chorus of "Floor Killer" from the speaker, backed up by the rest of the band.

Even when they're not here, they're here, Saori thought, and suddenly, she felt as if her heart was Rider's chariot, soaring through the sky. She was emboldened, and she found herself aching to sing along. If only I had my megaphone! What a sonic weapon THAT could've made!

At the same time, Rider himself was still trying to make his way to the upper corner of the warehouse. Lancer was doing an excellent job of slowing him down, but now that both of their Masters were preoccupied and Kayneth's evil machine was no more, they were on even footing and neither of them was holding back anymore. They traded blow for blow as equals, and to Rider, it was truly an exhilarating event!

But, I must make sure the others are all right! Rider's attention was not divided, but he was carefully maneuvering Lancer closer and closer to Kayneth and the others. The only reason Lancer allowed it was because he was also keen on returning to his Master. When "Floor Killer" started blasting off in the distance again, although it shook the walls and floors, Rider and Lancer remained unmoved. Rider was easily able to make his way over to Saori and Waver after that, and he kicked in the door right as Kayneth was preparing to take a second shot.

Only seconds later, Rika's chariot crashed back through the warehouse roof. "Woah. Fancy meeting you here!" Rika waved cheerfully.

"Ah, my girl, you could learn a thing or two about a proper landing!" Rider cried, but it was evident from the proud smile on his face that he was only joking. Sort of. Rika's technique did need a lot of work, but Rider's chariot and bulls were hardy enough to survive Rika's unintentional abuse. But their friendly banter stopped there. With Kayneth still cornering Saori and Waver, and Lancer hot on Rider's tail, it was time to fight! Again!
