[1972/7/3]
James and Jane were very anxious about their friend, Sirius. He was late for a day and a half.
Jane had expected this. After all, his parents were "crazy". She dipped her quill into the ink and began to write a letter to him. But after writing down the first few words, she changed her mind. Sirius didn't live far away. Why not go and visit him herself? She grabbed her broom and went outside with James. They flew to Grimmauld Place, but they couldn't find Number Twelve anywhere. They came back in disappointment.
Jane went to sleep early that night. At about 10 p.m., she was awoken by a strange noise outside. She sat up and looked through the window.
It was Sirius on his broomstick. She smiled and let him in.
"James and I had been really worried about you. Why didn't you come yesterday?" said Jane as they walked through the hallway.
A mischievous smile appeared on Sirius' face as he said, "Really? Well, it was simply because I changed my mind. I wanted to have some fun at Bellatrix's wedding before I came. I didn't get beaten, nor did I get into trouble, but my cousin's wedding was totally ruined."
"You are really a troublemaker." said Jane with an imitated sigh. Then she laughed. Sirius laughed too and opened the door to James' bedroom.
"See you tomorrow." he said with a smile and closed the door.
The next day, James woke up and saw Sirius lying beside him. He was shocked and nearly rolled out of his bed. Then he heard the sound of a camera pressing the shutter. He looked up and saw Jane standing at the door, holding a picture of him in her hands and laughing loudly. He realized that she was making fun of him.
"Give me the picture!" he screamed and ran after her angrily, leaving Sirius to sleep soundly in his bed. That experience became an unforgettable memory of James's childhood, and the picture Jane took was put on the wall, carefully preserved till today.
The End.
