It was two-thirty in the morning. Akari had been tossing and turning all night. Kakashi had not come home; she knew where he was. Catching up on the paperwork Lady Tsunade had left. Akari got her non-uniform clothing on, just a pair of slacks and a sweater, and headed out the door to the Hokage's office.

She didn't bother knocking, she knew he knew it was her. She walked in to see an incredibly fatigued Kakashi, clearly overwhelmed. "Baby…" Akari sighed.

"I know, I know. There's still a lot that I need to do." Kakashi said almost defeated.

Akari crossed the room quickly and gracefully. Sometimes Kakashi thought she was some type of vampire. She extended her hand. "Come," she commanded. He put down the pen he had in his hand and took Akari's hand. "I love you."

"I love you," Akari said, and in that moment she realized just how much she meant it. "What's so important that you have to spend so much time in here?"

"It's just an adjustment. I'm used to reports from missions, but when you have to review several…hundred…and then submit them and bind them, it's just a lot."

They were back in the Hokage residence, walking up to the main living space. The Hokage residence had many rooms, but not all of them were for living. They had just walked into the kitchen when Kakashi grabbed Akari and pulled his mask down for a passionate kiss. "I love you so much, I'm so sorry I've been so distant lately." Akari kissed him back and felt him push his body up to hers. She was leaning on the kitchen table that rarely gets used while he pressed up against her, kissing her all over. She looked over to the clock. She reached into Kakashi's pocket and got his cell phone out. He was slightly irritated, considering the growing bulge in his pants. "What are you doing, Akari?"

She smiled. "There. I sent Shizune a message." She held up the phone and Kakashi read the message that said "Left the office late, will be sleeping in. I'll see you at 10."

Kakashi tossed the phone over his shoulder and it landed softly on the loveseat behind them. Kakashi was fast as a shinobi, and even faster as a lover. Clothes were on the floor in no time, and he lifted Akari up on the kitchen table. One hand was on her back and the other was exploring the space between her thighs. It was sweet and sticky. Akari was ready. Kakashi groaned and continued to kiss her violently. Suddenly, she felt the thickness of him filling her, and it was warm. No, it was hot. She was sitting, helpless on the table as Kakashi rammed into her over and over, likely trying to release some pent-up frustration, but also turning Akari on with every thrust. Akari yelled out and they both rode the wave to completion. They were both panting, but Kakashi kissed Akari's cheek before putting his mask back up. "I love you, let's go to bed."

In the morning, Akari woke to sunshine, and…the bed was empty. She sighed. She looked over to the alarm clock. It was almost noon. Her cheeks started to burn with the images of the intimacy from last night. That was the first time they had been intimate in a few months. Well, I suppose it's time to get up for the day, she thought.
