Ancient Ogre

I will be discussing my thoughts, opinions and questions about Ancient Ogre. (This won't be in any particular order.)

Please do not get mad, abusive or upset. Many things mentioned are in the actual content provided for Tekken and in licensed content. It's up to you how you want to interpret it, everyone's will be different.

I feel he is misunderstood due to being appointed as a 'villain', and because not fully developed hence this deems him as mysterious.

Ancient Ogre as an individual:

I think that Ogre doesn't judge others, he seems to accept people as they are. You literally could be anything, have any identification, have any genitals etc and he'll be totally okay with it.

He seems like a humble person but with how he looks people get provoked and imitated by him hence he has to defend himself by fighting them back and the outcome of this is well...he consumes the components you have for combat. Evidence of this is in Tekken: Bloodline, where he waits for the opponent to make the first move.

His movements and understanding of his surroundings are slow for the most part. This does not include fighting, as he obviously understands that well and he is good at it.

I have questioned if he may have either a learning disability, may be deaf or both.

He does lack development in many areas such as socializing with others for example and possibly lacks basic needs.

He will not be able to register things rapidly either, except for combat.

He is not a sexual person whatsoever, he is innocent. He obviously knows enough or the basics to not touch or harm people in inappropriate places. An example of this is in Tekken: Bloodline where he holds Jun by her shoulders. In real life it may be a different story for creatures.

Languages:

Ogre speaks in his alien language (Japanese reversed).

He has the ability to speak Japanese (Tekken 3 comic/manga). I think if he were to learn a language it may be Japanese as it could be easier for him because he is speaking it reversed / backwards.

Past:

His past is that he searches the Earth for strong souls and consumes them but I think there's a possibility he may be searching the Earth for people who have the devil gene in them hence he senses it in Jin Kazama. Ogre could have been engineered with the devil gene in himself hence he can transform into True Ogre at a later date.

The Jun Kazama situation

(Sorry if I offend any fans of Jun)

I wonder if Jun and her son could have escaped through the back of her house or some other exit, then quietly and discreetly make their way to a safer location. I reckon with Ogre's slowness you may have a few minutes to do something like that before he makes a move back.

According to multiple reiterations of the story, Jun usually goes out to fight Ancient Ogre.

Even if your intentions are good and are to protect someone, why would you go out to see an intruder or allow an intruder into your home?

Jun provoked Ogre to fight her. Ogre's body gesture was open and seemingly friendly up til that point, in which when she did her gesture he then understood the indication to fight or that he needed to defend himself by fighting back. Or maybe he was trying to copy what she does.

Ogre also could have mistaken Jun for Jin (As Jin is the one he is usually after?).

Jun's disappearance is her own fault in a way for making her presence known to an intruder, then provoking the intruder. A mistake that may later cost her life.

Sacrificing herself to stop Ancient Ogre and save other people by doing so, varies in different interpretations.

Maybe someone should tell Jin how events really played out during the situation. Instead of Jin believing for 5 years or so that Ogre 'killed' his mother when in reality, as multiple interpretations show, Jun is usually the one to throw the 'first punch'.

Consequence: She goes missing because she provoked the guy first.

Ogre during the 5 years

I think Ancient Ogre develops and expands who he is within the 5 years. I'd like to think the Tekken Tag Tournament games and Street Fighter x Tekken portrays this evolution as he is more vocal, fluid in movement, able to work as a team, mind/gesture/posture has improved, somewhat able to do things more rapidly, new powers and skills obtained.

Ogre's Death

You should all know well by now that his death was only because of the 'good guy wins' trope.
