Scott wakes up from the start. He blinks his eyes and notices something off about his surroundings. He gets up on the floor to see he was laying on red carpet.
"What the?" He muttered.
"Where am I? And how did I get here?"
He gets up and his surroundings were in red velvet. The walls were painted red. The furniture were shades of red from the wood it's made from The only thing that isn't red was the the light emitting from four squares on the ceiling.
The bed, however, is what really caught his attention. The bedframe was enormous. The frame was made of gold and brass. Scott held on to the metal frame and felt the cold emitting from the frame. It had a roof on top of the frame with curtains surrounding it. Scott couldn't help but smell the curtain and its scent was floral. Almost rose-like.
He then inspected the bed further. The pillows were made of silk dyed in crimson. Scott held one on his hand and began caressing the pillow. The sheets and blankets were also maroon in coloured and made of satin.
He layed down on the bed and looked on top of the bed.
It had the sign of his pack in it. Two circles one inside of another. He smiled knowing that this room was made for him.
That mysterious floral smell grew stronger and he immediately recognized it. Roses. The smell of roses was present in this room.
He got up from the bed and opened up the window. He drew the red curtains apart to reveal that it was dark. It was probably midnight judging by the silence.
He shut the curtains and continued exploring the room. There were two doors close to each other.
He chose the first one. The bathroom.
Scott felt the walls for a light switch and was instantly blinded by the light from the bathroom.
The tiles were also in red with the pattern of fleur-de-lis in gold. The towels and robes were in red.
"This is getting weird now!" He exclaimed. Referring to the red aesthetics. The rug was also red as well. The bathtub was huge and it came with a shower. It looked like a jacuzzi. He opened the shower curtains and at closer inspection, the insignia of the Alpha Pack was plastered in the bathtub.
"This is so cool! Weird, but cool."
He then left the bathroom.
He then decided to open the second door. But as soon as Scott opens the door, he was brought back to reality.
Scott breathed heavily from his sleep. He looked around to see that he is back in his old bedroom. He sighed in disappointment.
He rubbed his forehead and yawned.
He got up, showered, got dressed and got ready to start the day.
Later that day. Scott, Stiles, Malia, and Liam were sitting in the middle of the cafeteria.
"Dude!" Stiles hollered. "What's with you? You've been quiet for hours!"
Scott sighed and said,
"I've been having weird dreams lately. And it's the same dream over and over again."
Malia then said,
"Is it about that weird bedroom dream again?"
Scott replied,
"Oh yeah." His expression show signs of confusion and frustration.
"Have you been watching HGTV lately, Scott?" Lydia asked.
Scott squinted his eyes at Lydia's question.
"What's that?" He asked.
Stiles rolled his eyes and said,
"Are you serious? HGTV is a home improvement, real estate channel!"
Liam looks at Stiles and said,
"Well some of us here don't watch shows about home improvement or real estate, Stiles."
Malia then said,
"You should ask Deaton about these dreams. Maybe he can answer them."
Beacon Hills Animal Clinic.
"I don't interpret dreams, Scott." Deaton says while putting away the syringe.
"Well can you tell me why would I be dreaming something about this?", Scott said. His tone growing impatient.
Deaton sighed and said,
"Have you been watching HGTV, Scott?"
Scott replied,
"No I have not. I wasn't even sure what that was until Stiles mentioned it."
Deaton then said,
"Well usually, dreams are just your subconscious trying to process itself. Think of Windows Updates. Your memories or information trying to process itself and organizing in your mind."
Scott blinked at the realization. Deaton's use of Windows Update being compared to ones subconscious being processed really threw him off.
"Look Scott, I would love to help you but I've got other errands to do. Plus this isn't my area of expertise. Why don't you ask the jinns?"
Later. Luxor Coffee Shop.
Just a couple blocks away from the veterinarian was a small coffee shop that opened a couple days ago.
Scott enters the door and the bell rung.
"Hello?"
The shop seems quiet. Too quiet. Where are the customers.
"What are you doing here, Scott?" A voice said.
Scott turns around to find Derek, Jay and Sophia in the entrance.
"I was looking for Sophia. I need to talk to her."
Derek replied,
"Oh okay but make it quick. We're setting up her shop for a soft opening."
Scott replied,
"Oh you work for Sophia?"
Derek replied,
"No. Just helping her. Well my pack and I are helping her set up for the soft opening."
Sophia then said,
"Give us a minute, Derek. Just make sure you and Jay set the store up for tomorrow."
Derek nodded and grabbed a broom from the broom closet.
Jay, on the other hand, was in charge of the kitchen. Baking goods for sale tomorrow.
In Sophia's office,
"Have you been watching too much HGTV, Scott?" Sophia asked.
"This is the third time someone has asked me that. No I have not been watching that channel!"
Sophia then replied,
"I find it strange that you would be having these types of dreams, Scott. Consider you've never been in a room that luxurious."
Scott took offense at her comment and replied,
"Oh. Well can you at least tell me why would I dream about a luxurious room that is all red and why I see signs of my pack and the Alpha pack?"
Sophia replied,
"Well for one, the reason why your tattoo was on your bedroom means that it's your personal sanctuary."
Sophia got up and grabbed a book from her shelf.
"As for the Alpha pack symbol being in a bathtub, that's a little odd, habibi."
Scott raised his brow and said,
"Odd?"
Sophia replied,
"Odd because you had an adversarial relationship with the Alpha pack at first so I find odd as to why their sign would be in the bathtub."
Scott then replied,
"What about the roses? I keep smelling roses whenever I have these dreams."
"Hold on a sec." Sophia said as she stepped out of the office.
As she came back, she had two bottles on both her hands.
One small bottle containing rose essential oils while the other hand was a huge, clear bottle which contains rosewater.
"I want you to shut your eyes and I will let you smell one of them. Got that?" She said.
Scott sighed and said,
"Okay fine. But what's this gonna prove?"
Sophia tilted her head and said,
"Just do as I say."
Scott sighed shut his eyes.
"No peeking!" Sophia blurted out.
Sophia opened the bottle of rose essential oil and began bringing it closer to Scott.
"Do you smell that?" Sophia asked.
Scott nodded.
She shut closed it and stored it away.
She then opened a bottle of rosewater and brought it closer to Scott.
"Now do you smell that?"
Scott nodded and said,
"Oh this one smells good!"
Sophia cocked a brow and said,
"Really now?" She closed the bottle and stored it away.
"Open your eyes." Sophia said.
Scott opens his eyes on command.
"So when you have these dreams, which one do you smell? The first scent or the second scent?"
Scott then said,
"The first one. It's always the first one. Why?"
Sophia replied,
"You were smelling rose essential oil. Does Melissa use that when doing laundry?"
Scott gave out a disgruntled expression due to Sophia's question.
"She's not really into that. She's a nurse. Plus I do my own laundry and I never used any essential oils."
Sophia then said,
"Well maybe you have been using a product that contains rose because that would explain why you would be smelling that."
"Oh. Thanks, Sophia." Scott replied as he got up.
"Listen I gotta go now. I'll be in your soft opening tomorrow."
Scott got out of the office along with her.
"Just look for anything that contains rose. Maybe it's a perfume or cologne or laundry soap. I'll see you tomorrow." Sophia then said.
Scott then walked out of the coffee shop as he waved goodbye to Sophia and Derek.
Derek turns to Sophia and said,
"What was that about?"
Sophia replied,
"He's been smelling roses again."
Derek then replied,
"Ah. Has he been stealing roses from your garden again?"
Sophia rolled her eyes and said,
"Oh hahaha, Derek! No. He can sniff all the roses all he wants."
