Chapter 1- Star Sleepover

A letter came in the mail for Rini as she opens up the contents of the envelope to see what is inside. It was a message from the Amazon Quartet. After having dealt with Queen Nehellenia and freeing Helios from his prison, Rini had not heard from the girls for over three months since the last time she saw them. Throughout the summer it was explained to Rini after when Galaxia was taken care of that the girls retired from their positions and lived a quiet life in a small house, thanks to Serena finding out where their location is. Now the Quartet are living their new civilian lives as Vesta, Ceres, Pallas, and Juno respectively, posing as four sisters living on their own.

Rini read the letter. "Dear Rini, we are extending an invitation for you to come to our home tonight and have a sleepover. We will be camping outside underneath the stars. The reason why we made this letter for you is because we felt a need to give you an apology for all of the times we encountered you as circus performers and tried to steal Pegasus. There is something we would like to tell you in person if you plan on taking up our invitation.

Sincerely, Ceres, Pallas, Juno, & Vesta Aster

Rini stops reading the letter and cocks her eyes in confusion. "Huh? I don't know if I should trust this invitation one bit." She gets up from the couch and runs upstairs to see what Serena and Darien think about the letter. They were sitting on Serena's bed looking at the new photos to put in their scrapbook when Rini came into the room to interrupt their moment. "Hey Serena! What do you think I should do with the letter? Do you think the Amazon Quartet are trying to lure me into a trap?"

"Oh! This invitation doesn't sound like it hints at any danger." Serena said as she looks over the letter with Darien. "I think it is safe for you to check things out and see what is up with the girls."

Darien speaks up next as he states. "The retired Amazon Quartet know that we won't take it lightly if anything were to happen to us or to you. Besides, they gave up on trying to locate Pegasus ever since Queen Nehellenia was defeated. So I think it is safe for you to go have a sleepover with the girls." Rini nods, understanding that Serena and Darien had made it their job to keep an eye on the Quartet girls ever since the Dead Moon Circus was no more.

"I do kind of wonder what it is that the girls want to talk with you about." Serena thought out loud as she discusses it with Darien and Rini in the room.

"Maybe to apologize for all the trouble they caused against us is one thing, but that's just what I think." Darien shrugs his shoulders and smiles at his girls.

"Or maybe they will share something we don't know about at the sleepover." Serena giggles softly as she reminisces about the times when she and the rest of the Sailor Scouts did their own sleepovers throughout the summer. "That usually happens when girls get together, you know."

"I still don't know if I should trust what they have to say." Rini looks away, not certain of what she is going to face once she gets to that sleepover.

"I don't think you should worry about it Rini." Darien assures her by patting her head. "What should matter is about having fun. Come on, let's get you ready for your big night."

Later that night

"Here we are! This is the Amazon Quartet's new house." Darien said as he turns the girls' attention over to the new building outside of town. It was a normal family size home with two floors. The outdoor coloring of the house was a beige brown and the landscape leading to the house had a huge front yard and a small backyard.

"The house hasn't burned down yet, so I guess the girls are doing alright since we last checked up on them." Serena noted. "You have your suitcase close by Rini?" Rini pats her big suitcase she was carrying with her on their walk.

"It is ready. I even packed my transformation capsule if I needed it." Rini clarifies.

Serena shakes her head as she tells the girl. "I don't think you necessarily need it at the moment Rini. After all this is a sleepover, so I don't think any harm will come to yo-" Before she could finish what she was saying, her cell phone started ringing. She picks it up and briefly mentions who is on the other line, "Its Trista." Serena clears her throat before clicking the answer button and walks away for a moment from Darien and Rini. "Hello Trista, what do you need to talk with me about?"

"Okay, while she is talking with Sailor Pluto, I expect you to behave well in hanging out with the Quartet Rini." Darien replies as he goes over the list of things that she needs to know when staying over at someone else's house. "Be kind and gracious with your hosts since they gave you an invitation to hang out with them. When they want to play with you on something like board games or video games, do your best to try them out and have fun. There is no room for being rude or snarky on your hosts when they wanted to reach out to you. Stay close by them and don't wander off anywhere without them. But the most important thing for you to do is have fun with your friends."

Rini wanted to voice her opinion on the fact that she and the Quartet are not friends yet, but she wants to please Darien and Serena so she keeps her mouth shut and nods. "Okay."

Serena returned to the group once she was done with her call. "It appears that the rest of the Sailor Scouts wants to meet up with us at a temple that just appeared out of nowhere just outside of Tokyo."

Darien cocks his eyebrows in confusion at what Serena was talking about. "That's odd. Did Trista say anything about how it got there or something?"

Serena shakes her head. "Neither one of the Scouts knows what is going on but Trista recruited me and you to come and investigate the temple. We better head on over there for tonight and see what we can find out."

"How about I come with you two and help out?" Rini asks, hoping to cancel her sleepover invitation and message the girls that she can't come.

Serena shakes her head, much to Rini's annoyance. "No! We need you here with the Quartet Rini. It shouldn't take me and Darien too long to see what is going on. We will be back to pick you up once our new mission is done."

Rini silently fumes to herself, not wanting to be left out on something as interesting as a mysterious temple that no one but the Scouts have seen before. "Just promise that you will bring me to see the temple once you are done."

Serena nods. "It's a deal Mini Moon. Now go to the Quartet's house and have some fun." With a pat on the head and a hug from the two grown-ups, Rini watches as Serena and Darien switch to their Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask transformation and headed off outside of Tokyo. Rini waves good-bye until she couldn't see them anymore and turns to the house. She spots in the clear night sky a shooting star while she walks to the front door.

Vesta was at the door, leaning against the side as she smiles widely at Rini coming toward her with her big suitcase. "I knew you were going to show up sooner or later." She said with a relaxed tone of voice. Her sleeveless red dress and her white tights were noticeable in the growing darkness of the night sky. Rini noticed that she didn't have any shoes on, quite possibly meaning that she is walking barefoot in the cold air.

"Well, I didn't want to come at first, but Sailor Moon wanted me to come and see what's up." Rini grumbles a bit in annoyance while she looks around the place. She could see in the window close by to the door that Ceres, Pallas, and Juno were in the living room chatting about something.

"Oh come on, Rini! Where's your sense of fun?" Vesta grins, ignoring Rini's remark and comes down the front door steps to her side.

"Last I checked my sense of fun went south when you girls kidnapped me and tried to use Pegasus." Rini states as she allows Vesta to take her suitcase into the house.

"And we sincerely apologize for doing that to you. We regretted trying to take Pegasus away from you, so I hope you will forgive us while we treat you to a night of fun." Vesta said,

"So are we going to sleep inside the house?" Rini asks, uncertain of what their plan of action is.

Ceres comes over to the door once she saw that Rini had arrived. "Hey Rini! Good to see that you made it! For your question on where we are sleeping, I figured maybe tonight we can camp outside since its nice and clear out." Rini could see that like Vesta, Ceres, Pallas and Juno were in their sleeveless dresses and white tights with their respective colors of green, blue and yellow.

"Don't forget we should make some s'mores Ceres!" Pallas calls from the living room. "We have just gotten our new fire-pit in the backyard."

"Dream on girl," Juno interjects as she pinches Pallas cheeks in a teasing fashion. "S'mores are for little kids. Big kids always go for some fireworks."

"Um, sorry to burst your bubble Juno, but we are out of fireworks." Ceres interrupts Juno, making the green haired amazon quaking in her bare feet.

"Since when Ceres?" Juno's smile turned to a frown as she wonders if that was just a joke.

"Since the 4th of July last night." Ceres answers, making Juno moan in longing for some fireworks. "Forgive us for the interruption Rini, but ever since we last saw each other, Juno has been getting into playing around with fireworks while Pallas has become interested in baking different treats."

Rini nods in understanding. "Okay, and what have you and Vesta been busy doing?"

Vesta answers for her pink haired amazon sister. "Ceres has become a fan of doing yoga exercises while I have been focusing on our Astronomy lessons at home, along with teaching math, history, science and English reading."

Rini's eyes pop open in surprise. "So you mean you are homeschooling yourselves? How are you able to pay off this whole house?"

"Easy! We gave the insurance people money from our circus days and they gave us the house." Juno states as she gestures to the money they stored away in a circus tent piggy bank in the living room.

"We also didn't want to be caught in a bad light by you and the Sailor Scouts since we were afraid that you wouldn't accept us to go to school with you, so we decided to do school at home instead to give you girls some breathing space." Ceres responses sadly as she looks at Rini. For some reason this new information made Rini rethink her approach on the girls. Perhaps she was treating the girls a little too harshly in her thoughts. When Ceres mentioned that they wanted to go to school but they couldn't for fear that the Scouts will act up when they show up, Rini became sad in imagining that scenario, because that would have happened if it came to that.

"I'm sorry if you girls have had it rough since Pegasus escaped from the queen." Rini admits.

"I should also apologize for treating you like the enemy when I know that you have seen the light on your past mistakes."

The Amazon girls understood what Rini wanted to say and Pallas was the first to embrace her. "Your forgiven silly!" The blue amazon smiles. "We don't hold it against you for thinking that. We were afraid that you wouldn't accept us as a part of your team."

Juno quickly pulls Pallas away from Rini, tugging at her hair pieces as she harshly whispers, "Don't spoil the surprise, Pallas!"

"What surprise are you talking about?" Rini cocks her eyebrow in confusion.

Juno pretends to smile as she covers Pallas' mouth to keep her from responding to Rini's question. Vesta rolled her eyes at the girls as Ceres responses. "You see Rini… The thing is… Ever since we quit doing the circus, we have received memories of a time in the future when we were considered your protectors in Crystal Tokyo. We still don't understand where we came from or how we got here to the present day, but I believe that we were stolen from the future by Queen Nehellenia before we even met you."

Vesta interrupts her. "What she means to say is that we are not just amazons performing in a circus. We were actually supposed to be your bodyguards Rini. We are actually Sailor Scouts just like you and Sailor Moon!"

Rini blinks her eyes, wondering if this was some kind of a joke. She wanted to say that they don't look like they could be Sailor Scouts, but that would be hypocritical on her part because she along with Sailor Moon and her team do the exact same thing with their civilian lives. So she asks instead. "Are you sure you had memories of being my guardians?"

Juno sighs as she explains, "Yes, to put it bluntly Queen Nehellenia took us away while we slept and brainwashed us into being the Amazon Quartet. We slept in the Amazon stones when that happened. After the queen was defeated, our stones purified us and helped us to regain our memories of who we once were and what we are supposed to do."

"We were not to wake up until the 30th century, but Queen Nehellenia had other plans and stole us before our appointed time." Pallas said, successfully freeing her mouth from Juno's grasp.

"Do you have a planet symbol to signify you are a Sailor Scout?" Rini questions. Vesta shows the Amazon stones as they float next to their respective owner. Vesta's Amazon stone glows showing a dark red symbol of a big 'V' carrying a smaller little 'v', it also looked like a small torch was on top of the V's. Cere's Amazon stone simply showed a glowing symbol of a sickle. Juno's Amazon stone showed what looked to be a flower symbol with seven petals glowing front and center. And Pallas' Amazon stone shows a glowing blue diamond. All three of Pallas', Ceres, and Juno's symbols had what appeared to be a cross on the bottom of their symbols while Vesta's symbol doesn't.

Rini's eyes grew wide in amazement. "Whoa! Does Sailor Moon even know about this since she always checks up on you?"

"Oh yes she does." Juno states. "She wanted to tell you about our secret, but we didn't want her to spoil the surprise so we asked for her to let us send you an invitation to let you see for yourself Rini." Rini narrows her eyes, thinking to herself that was probably why Serena wanted her to come to the sleepover in such a eager mood.

Ceres puts away the Amazon stones and continues from where Juno left off. "I am to be the leader of the Sailor Quartet in your timeline Rini and I briefly remember bits and pieces of Sailor Venus taking me as her apprentice before I went to sleep in the stone."

Pallas mentions quickly. "I was an apprentice to Sailor Mercury."

"As well as I being Sailor Mars' apprentice." Vesta adds.

"I was chosen to succeed Sailor Jupiter." Juno responds. "However, our past civilian lives before we were taken to the circus remains elusive. We don't even remember if we still have parents or not."

"But that won't stop us from enjoying our new family here." Ceres turns their attention away from their memories of the past. "Let's get started with our sleepover! Vesta, you get the fire-pit going outside. Pallas, gather up the graham crackers, the chocolate bars, and the marshmallows. Don't forget the roaster sticks for the marshmallows! Juno make sure that our tent is secured."

After a few minutes of preparing, the girls managed to work together to get the tent, s'mores and the fire-pit ready. Ceres worked on spraying the lawn with bug spray to make sure that the bugs didn't come to visit. Rini helped in setting out the blankets and lawn chairs next to the fire-pit. After a good few minutes of relaxing by the fire and eating some s'mores, the girls look up to the night sky to see all kinds of star constellations dancing in the far expanses of space.

"Did you know that some of the constellations are based on the Zodiacs, Rini?" Ceres asks as she points out where exactly the constellations she is referring to in the sky. "Most of them are based on animals, and some are either objects or people."

"I am familiar with the Zodiac signs. Serena and her friends sometimes get together to try to identify which one they are born under." Rini replied.

"But did you know that the Zodiacs were once actually people back in Sailor Moon's time as a princess of the Moon Kingdom?" Juno speaks up as she leans on the lounge chair, wrapped up in a blanket. Upon Rini shaking her head at the mention, Juno sits up straight. "You mean that Sailor Moon and the other scouts never told you about their stories?"

"I don't know what you are talking about. Sorry." Rini confesses. "I don't think Sailor Moon knows about the stories either, and she just has some bits and pieces of her memory as the Moon Princess. Whatever my grandmother from Sailor Moon's previous life had a hand in must have wiped out the Sailor Scouts memories clean of the stories you mentioned."

"Your grandmother wiped out the Scouts' memories before they went to Earth? And here I thought that we had a rough time in remembering our past." Pallas comments, rather disappointingly as she munches on her seventh helping of s'mores.

Vesta shrugs her shoulders as she takes over the conversation. "Well, since you don't know the stories. Allow me to elaborate on what you have been missing out on." She clears her throat before getting into her story mode. "It goes like this… The stories we know about the Zodiacs comes from Greece, but in the Moon Kingdom, according to some stories passed around in Crystal Tokyo, the Zodiac symbols we see in the sky are a reminder to the Moon Kingdom of the treachery they have faced from one of their own people who tried to take control of the royal families on each planet in the Solar System.

Each Zodiac wanted to influence the royal families of Mercury, Mars, Earth, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto to do different things and turn the whole Solar System to its knees. To either cause chaos, extinction, or for isolation from any sort of help, they wanted to become like gods on the ruling planets they inhabited. The Zodiacs Aries and Scorpio wanted chaos on the planets of Mars and Pluto. The Zodiacs Pisces, Aquarius, Cancer, Leo and Capricorn wanted isolation on the planets of Neptune, Uranus, the Moon, Earth, and Saturn, to close off their connection to each other and relay only on themselves and receive no help from anyone outside of their planet. The Zodiac Sagittarius almost turned the planet Jupiter into a wasteland of near extinction because of the overbearing need to hunt. Taurus wanted isolation too, but he went further into making the citizens of Venus to turn on each other with incest and lust for each other and no one else. Gemini went the same route as Taurus, but they went a step further by trying to overreach their creativity in moving the planet Mercury to another system altogether. Virgo and Libra were the only ones who wanted peace but they were caught up in the mess for trying to stop Taurus and Gemini from going too far in their plans. Those two were in the wrong place at the wrong time it seemed. However, all of the royal families of each ruling planet in the Solar System were aware of the unrest and decided to come up with a plan on putting the Zodiacs in their place. In what seemed to be difficult for the kingdoms to prosper, the ruling kings and queens managed to strike back at the Zodiacs and sealed them away in some ancient artifacts. The constellations were also a reminder to the Moon Kingdom of watching out for the Zodiacs; crab for Cancer. Two faces in the sky for Gemini. Bull for Taurus. Water pitcher for Aquarius. Two fish for Pisces. Scorpion for Scorpio. Bow and arrow for Sagittarius. Lion's face for Leo. Goat for Capricorn. Scale for Libra. Ram for Aries. And a girl looking away from the sky is for Virgo.

There was stories speculating around the Moon Kingdom that there was another Zodiac but nobody knows who that Zodiac is or what that persons purpose was at the Zodiac War in the Solar System, but nevertheless the royal family came after him or her and sealed that person away along with the others. Whether he wanted to stay clear of the Zodiac War and not harm other people or waiting for a perfect time to strike once everyone else was taken care of was enough of a excuse for the royal families to get rid of him too for fear that he will do the same thing to them like how the other Zodiacs did.

The ancient artifacts whatever they are supposed to look like are unknown to us at the moment. But there is a legend that goes around in Crystal Tokyo that a temple where the artifacts are hidden away at will reappear on Earth every one hundred years, the spirits of the Zodiacs hoping to escape into the world again and resume trying to take control of the ruling planets. Why the royal families decided to keep the artifacts on Earth and locked away in a temple is not said, though I believe they wanted that temple to disappear and reappear for a hundred years in order to keep the Zodiacs from escaping. The temple is said to work like the inside of an Egyptian pyramid, having numerous dead ends and secret passageways that lead to somewhere else. Rooms changing each time depending on the months of the year. After when the Zodiacs were sealed away, the civilians on all of the planets returned to their normal everyday lives before Queen Beryl came into the picture. They were glad to be free from the spells that the Zodiacs had cast on them."

"That sounds like the royal families were busy." Rini notes with unease at the thought of Sailor Moon going to a temple not too far outside of Tokyo. Could that temple be the same one that Vesta is talking about? Rini shook her head at the thought, thinking that it couldn't be the same one. "I worry if the place that Sailor Moon is going to is the same temple or not."

"Oh don't worry about that Rini, Sailor Moon contacted me on the phone before we greeted you by the door." Ceres said, reassuring the girl. "She told me of what was going on and she said that she and the rest of the Scouts will only take a look at the place she is sent to investigate and then head on back home in no time at all."

With this in mind, the girls decide to head for bed inside of the tent while the stars in the night sky twinkled.

Meanwhile on the outskirts of Tokyo, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask have just arrived at the place that Sailor Pluto was talking about. Once Sailor Moon took a good look at the temple, her eyes widened in both amazement and horror at how Gothic and abandoned the temple was. There was some steps that led to the entryway, and the floors reach up to seven floors. The backyard behind the building looked dangerously inviting as if another world is waiting for them if they wanted to take a look and see.

The other Sailor Scouts arrived the moment Sailor Moon was finished looking at the outside of the temple. Sailor Moon shrugs her shoulders and says, "Well, it looks like there is nothing suspicious about it."

"Don't be so sure Sailor Moon. I can feel that something is amiss in this place." Sailor Pluto exclaims as she and the Outer Sailor Scouts walk up the steps to check inside.

Sailor Neptune tried to open the door and go inside, but it wouldn't budge. "I think someone doesn't want us to go inside and see what is up." She clarifies to the team.

Sailor Uranus unsheathes her sword and gingerly tries to lock-pick the door. "It is odd that the door would hold firm in blocking entry but it has rusted over time to the point where you would think it lost its grip." She successfully unlocks the door and pushes it open.

As expected when you find an abandoned building, dust and cobwebs are present in the entrance. It looked like no one has inhabited the building in centuries. "It doesn't look like anyone is in here but us." Sailor Mercury said as she analyzes the inside of the building with her blue goggles.

Sailor Venus breathed out a sigh of relief when she heard that. "At least that's a good thing. I thought I had a bad feeling I was being watched." She felt a little bit uneasy about the building and decides to stick close to Sailor Mars in a effort to not feel afraid.

"I thought I was the only one thinking that something in this building is watching us. Can we just make a quick run through of the building and get out? This place is giving me the creeps!" Sailor Jupiter states, looking left and right as she is watching every corner like a hawk, thinking that something was going to come out and attack them at any moment.

Sailor Saturn studies the rooms they are going through as Venus, Mars, Mercury and Pluto went right and Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask went with Saturn on the left to examine what the rooms had. "It seems to me that there is a table clock in the room and it has some strange symbols on them." She found what she was looking for in what appears to be a circular table with the symbols acting as numbers. "Hmm... according to this clock, it acts as the dates when the Zodiacs are to show up. The water pitcher is in the one spot and the two fish to represent Pisces is in number two. Aries and Taurus are in three and four respectively. Gemini and Cancer have five and six on the clock spots. This clock is a Zodiac clock! I just don't know if this thing still works or not!" She beams in excitement at the thought, but then she frowns when she realizes that something is wrong in the building. "If this place is what I think it is, then that means... Girls, let me be clear and say that if you find something unusual that you are curious about, please do not touch them."

Tuxedo Mask was curious about what Saturn was saying. "How can you possibly know that Hotaru?"

"Being reborn numerous times does something to unlock different memories Darien. I think I remember hearing stories from my royal family in my previous life that none of the citizens of Saturn or any of the other planets should not come to the temple. The reason for this strict rule is unknown to me and I can't dig it up in my memories." Sailor Saturn said, disappointed that she couldn't be a bigger help in finding out more.

"Then lets see what we can find that will shed some light." Tuxedo Mask reassures Saturn by patting her shoulder. The rest of the Scouts went upstairs to see what they could find since that they couldn't find anything in the first floor. Saturn told the others of what she was concerned about so they knew to not touch anything that caught their curiosity.

On the second floor Sailor Pluto decided to stop and take a look at the room while the others went on ahead to the other floors upstairs. The room that Pluto found was filled to the brim with lots of torture devices that you could only find in a dungeon of a castle in medieval times. "Not an ideal place to call home I would say." Pluto said as she starts to turn around and head up stairs with the others. But that was when she spotted something crawling right by her feet as she jumps away in fright thinking it was a mouse. Upon closer inspection she saw that it was just a scorpion.

Sighing with relief and caution Pluto thought it would be best to keep her distance from it while she maneuvers her way toward the stairs. For some strange reason the scorpion seemed determined to follow after her. Why this room thought holding a scorpion hostage was a good idea, it baffled Pluto on how terrifying it would be if she was stuck in a room with only that little creature as company.

Distracted by her thoughts she didn't see the scorpion crawling up on the railing of the stairs and it was right on her right gloved hand. Before Pluto could react in swinging the scorpion off of her hand, the scorpion stabs it tail into her palm.

Meanwhile in the third floor, Sailor Neptune and Uranus could hear the sounds of water leaking from the pipes. "Someone must have forgotten to fix the pipes before leaving the building." Neptune mentions as she and Uranus take a look in the third floor. It looked like a place for you to relax in a swimming pool or to take a hot bath.

Sailor Uranus scoffs in annoyance of the scenario. "Whoever was once the owner of the building must have been pretty careless on taking care of the building. That person even left some fish in the contaminated pool."

At the mention of fish in a dirty pool, Neptune looks frantically for a bucket to carry the fish out of the water, watching for any signs of the fish to come out. "Where are the fish? Do you think they died in there Amara? It would make me sad to see that the fish couldn't be saved in this place." She said.

As if on cue, the girls could see the shadow figure of the fish underneath the dirty water. Neptune breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the fish was still alive, but then she spots another fish that is swimming beside the first one. "Two fishes? Oh my! I better go get them out!" She manages to put the bucket in the water, despite how gross the icky water was to her and she sets the bucket down on the water to see if the fish were alright. "Amara how about we switch the icky water out for some new water? I am not sure if the pipes will work in our favor."

Sailor Uranus spots a pitcher of water standing next to a window as she picks it up to open it, seeing that it has clear water inside. "I found some water here Michelle." Before the girls could get started in cleaning the water from the bucket, something strange happened to Uranus as she froze in place, whether thinking up a better idea or changing her mind, she mind was in a blank on what to do. Something told her in her mind that she should get back to her research, but the Sailor Scout squinted her eyes in confusion at the thought.

At the same time, the fish appeared to be restless in the bucket, both of them jumped out and slammed into Sailor Neptune's face, making the girl gag at the smell of dirty fish. She drops the bucket in surprise and the fish manage to flop right back to the dirty pool, apparently satisfied of the stunt they pulled.

Neptune wipes her face to clean up the dirt that got on her as she searches for a towel in the room. "Eww! I don't know what got into the fish. Hey, Amara can you give me a hand in helping me wipe this stuff off my face? Amara?" She noticed rather quickly that something was off from Sailor Uranus, how she is just staring at the window pale as a zombie in a trance. "Is something wrong sweetie?" Neptune tries to get her girlfriend to talk to her, but then she hears a voice inside of her head, whispering at first.

'You cannot have a relationship with someone inferior to you.' A feminine voice smooth as the waters said to Neptune as the Sailor Scout blinks her eyes in confusion, turning her head from left to right thinking that someone was in the room with her and her girlfriend, but there was nothing.

"W- What is going-" Neptune was trying to identify what or who was in the room with her and Sailor Uranus. But before she could finish her question, Sailor Uranus suddenly crouched down on her knees as if in pain and clasps her hands around her head shaking frantically.

"Get out of my head! Get out of my head!" Uranus shrieks in horror, trying to reach one hand over to Neptune. Sailor Neptune tried to draw close and give comfort to her girlfriend, but she felt a supernatural force push her away and keep her in place on the wall. "What gives you the right to tell me what to do?! I am not yours to command you creep! I don't wish to be a proper lady!" She threatens whatever is inside of her head.

"Amara! Help me! Something has a hold of me!" Neptune cries out trying to push herself away from the wall, but she couldn't take a step forward. She felt like she was trapped like a rat in a cage.

The voice inside of Neptune's head spoke again, "Aquarius, please keep your vessel under your leash and keep her away from my vessel." The voice sounded like it was gently warning whoever has a hold on her girlfriend, Neptune thought to herself as she struggles to get away.

"Certainly. If that is what you wish Pisces." Sailor Uranus' voice contained a mixture between her voice and something masculine like a male was taking over, the voice sounded articulate and quiet like the soft coos of an owl.

Sailor Neptune looked like she wanted to cry out for Sailor Uranus as some tears streamed down her face. "What have you done to my girlfriend?! Where's Sailor Uranus?"

She could see Sailor Uranus' eyes had a vacant hypnotized look to them. The light shining in her eyes are gone. The spirit Aquarius spoke again, "I haven't laid a hand on her. I just put her away into the subconsciousness of her own mind. It would be a waste to kill such a fine specimen as this one."

Sailor Uranus twitched herself back into reality as she tries to shake herself awake. "Let me go! If you dare to touch a hand on Michelle I WILL kill you for hurting her!"

Another round of twitching led to Aquarius' voice taking over again. "Oh dear, your behavior with Pisces vessel is not acceptable young lady! I think it is time to seclude you away to work on studying the books." Sailor Uranus turns to walk away from the room while Sailor Neptune begs for her partner to get her out of the mess she was in. For a split moment she wondered if she shouldn't have told her partner to take the water pitcher, for now she realized that the objects Saturn mentioned are not shown to be unusual, they were hidden in plain sight as ordinary objects.

"Amara!" Neptune screams in sorrow with her hand outstretched to her partner who opened the door and closed it in front of her. Feeling hopeless in the mess they got themselves into, Neptune broke down in sobs as she heard the voice in her head drawing close to take control.

'Shh... They are gone now. You don't need Aquarius' vessel to be your suitable partner. You must stay in isolation with me where you are safe. Do you understand, my vessel?" Pisces voice tries to soothe Neptune as the scout cried for the loss of her beloved. Neptune shook her head, not understanding what is going on while she felt her subconsciousness fading away.

In another room upstairs, Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and Sailor Mars were searching the room for any clues on what the temple was all about. The room they were in looked to be a training center on the far right side while the other side had a balcony where they could see the moon shining down on Earth.

"Doesn't look like there is anything unusual here." Sailor Mars said as she looks left and right, watching for anything to come out and attack her like a hawk. "This room reminds me of our gym at school, only our school gym was bigger than this one."

"This room seems to speak of peace and tranquility. Hidden away in plain sight where no one can disturb it." Sailor Moon said as she smiles at the balcony when she walks outside to take a look. She could briefly see that Sailors Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Venus were going outside in the backyard to look for anything that could help them figure out what the temple was hiding.

Something caught Tuxedo Mask's attention on the side of the balcony, seeing a rose yearning for the moons rays to give it some light for solar food. He leans to take a closer look at the flower, seeing the petals act like a mane of a lion. Oddly enough the petals appeared to be a deep orange color instead of the regular red shade of a rose. Tuxedo Mask wondered to himself if this was one of the items that Saturn warned not to touch, but he wasn't really quite sure if flowers were something he shouldn't be touching or not. He shrugs his shoulders, what harm could a flower do to him. He plucks the orange rose from the white vase it was held in and examines every inch of it. He never saw such a flower as this thing he was holding. He reaches his right hand slowly to touch the leaves underneath the flower, only by mistake his left hand holding the item ventured too close to one of the thorns and he pricks himself on accident.

"Ow!" He muttered softly, gaining Sailor Moon's attention to venture away from the balcony and come over to him.

"Are you alright Darien?" She asks in concern. Upon seeing a small trail of blood coming from his left pointer finger she winces in disgust and takes his glove off quickly to try to heal the wound with a band-aid.

"Yeah Serena. I'm fine." Tuxedo Mask tries to swallow the pain he was feeling in his fingers. "I just poked myself with the rose I found."

"That's strange. I don't think I have seen one of those roses before." Sailor Moon said as she gently takes the flower back to the vase, careful of the thorns and places it back where it belongs. "Maybe sometime when we are done searching around this building we should ask Lita on what that rose is. She is very good in finding some good flowers for her flower gardens." Tuxedo Mask nods his head, agreeing with her. But he couldn't figure out what was getting into his head. Something in his mind was invading his private thoughts and trying to learn what is going on. He thought it could just be a headache he was going through and he wanted to hold in the pain until he and the others returned home, only then he can be free to take some Tylenol to ease the pain.

Sailor Mars taps on Sailor Moon's shoulder. "It doesn't look like there is anything here. Let's keep looking upstairs. I just saw Sailor Uranus going upstairs ahead of us. She might have found something we have missed."

"Okay, lets catch up to her and see what we can find. Let's go Tuxedo Mask." Sailor Moon said as she starts walking out the door with Mars. Noticing that he wasn't following after her, she turns to see what was the matter until he interrupts her thoughts.

"You girls can go ahead. I think I will stay down here and see if we missed anything." Tuxedo Mask said. His eyes under his face mask were looking left and right as if unsure of what he will find.

Sailor Moon relaxes her stance as she replies. "Take as long as you like Darien. We will be upstairs if you need us." With this in mind, she and Sailor Mars go upstairs to see if they can catch up to Sailor Uranus.

Meanwhile outside of the temple, Sailors Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Venus spotted some cottages close by to the building. They surmised that the cottages are extensions of the temple, maybe some sort of resting place or a place to meditate amidst the noise of the real world.

"What do you think could be hiding here?" Sailor Jupiter says as she examines one cottage in the woods. There was nothing unusual about it, it looked like a little hunting retreat where a hunter could enjoy nature to the fullest. There was a chimney for a fireplace. A nice looking bed with some shades of blue bedsheets. A small kitchen and a bow and arrow.

Sailor Jupiter picks up the rusty looking bow and arrows, seeing that they haven't been used in quite a long time. "Its such a shame that this weapon was just sitting here not being used." She frowns at the thought. That was until she felt a sudden urge to go outside and look for something that is beyond her perimeter. The light in her eyes was gone and her face changed from one out of curiosity into a determined look that a hunter would use in order to go after its choice of prey. As if in a trance, she quietly leaves the cottage she was looking in, leaving the other scouts to search in the other cottages while she wraps the arrow bag around her back.

In another cottage, Saturn spotted a load of pots that are waiting for some kind of plants to be placed in, and there was some flowers on the other side, though they seemed to be wilted beyond repair. Saturn was sad to see this happen, but it was natural that some plants have to die in order for new ones to spring forth from the ashes. Saturn felt someone watching from behind her and she turns to see Sailor Pluto was by the door, holding some brown gloves in her hands.

"You just about scared me Pluto!" Saturn resisted the urge to jump in shock when she spotted one of her mothers. "I was just going to take a closer look in this room to see if there are any clues."

"You should maybe switch things up in exchanging your gloves for these ones I have found here. This place has been collecting dust and cobwebs that I can't even see past my nose." Sailor Pluto suggested, something inside of her eyes hinted toward mischief of some kind that she wants to get in.

Saturn wasn't sure whether to trust what she said as her eyes lingered on Sailor Pluto's right hand, seeing a punctured wound amidst the white cloth. "What happened to your hand Trista mama?"

Sailor Pluto cocks an eyebrow in confusion as she takes notice of what Saturn was staring at. "Oh! This little thing? A scorpion stung me. Don't worry I took care of the problem and got some medicine on it."

"Why do I have a feeling that you are lying mama?" Saturn questions, feeling something off about one of her parents. "You didn't... touch anything unnatural in the building did you?"

"I don't see anything unusual here sweetie." Sailor Pluto looked left and right to see if anyone was watching. "You must just be on edge ever since the last time we battled against Galaxia and her minions. You can take a moment to relax a bit and take your time in looking around."

Saturn thought that was a good explanation, despite the growing dread that she feels at the pit of her stomach. And those gloves don't look dangerous. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try them out. She takes off her gloves and pulls the colorful brown gloves on to see how they look. Unearthly brown scales shined in the light. For a moment Saturn thought that there was nothing wrong with the gloves... at least that wasn't until she began to feel faint and her vision turned fuzzy. Something was wrong with the gloves! Is it possible that the cursed artifacts are hidden in disguise as plain ordinary objects? She collapses on the floor, feeling hot in her forehead as she lost consciousness.

Sailor Mercury decided to look at one of the other cottages next to where Sailor Saturn was and she took the necessary precautions to entering the new place. With her blue glasses on she looks through the screen to see which items could be vital in finding clues. One of them she found odd was a painting and the other odd thing she found was some sort of jewelry in a box. The cottage room she was in held nothing much of importance other than a bed to sleep in and a writing desk and a easel for painting. A shelf of books filled with gardening and cooking was shown. Sailor Mercury looks closer at the painting of what appears to be a disappointed woman. Who that person was, she didn't know a single thing about. Why that painting and the jewelry were here in this building she couldn't place her bet on how they came to be there in the first place.

Mercury thought it over and said out loud. "Hmm... According to my scanner there is something going on with the painting and the jewelry. Sailor Saturn said that I shouldn't touch anything that could be off, but what should I do on telling the others about what I found?" For a brief moment she pretended to pose like how the painting had pictured; The woman was turning her head to her left, briefly Mercury could see that she had a frown on her face but she couldn't see anything else besides the long dress and the long hair. Her eyes looked like they were tired.

Mercury sighs, feeling a bit tired herself after looking at the picture. "Alright. Enough is enough. Time to check out the jewelry." She moves to the box and see what is inside. Two light green necklaces that interlocked with each other. Mercury narrows her eyes as she tried to see if she can separate them. It stayed stuck together. A little disappointed by this notion, she shrugs her shoulders and fits them on her forehead for something to wear. She also thought the painting was slanted too far to the right and moves her hands to adjust it. That was when her hands started trying to conjure up some air with her water. However, the force of the air became to big for Mercury to handle and it pushed her toward one of the walls, crashing into the bed and making a brief earthquake inside of the cottage.

When Mercury opened her eyes after getting hit in the head by the impact, her eyes had a beige and grey color. A woman's voice came forth from her throat. "Oh no! Gemini! Stop that! You will hurt her if you go through with this!"

Another voice, Gemini's voice, came up through Mercury's throat but the voice was a mix between a girl and a boy. "Oops! Looks like our vessel isn't ready to handle air with water at the same time."

"You shouldn't be testing out her powers when we have just gotten a body of our own again!" Virgo scolded the other spirit. If a bystander was passing by and saw Mercury talking like this, it would look like she was arguing with herself.

Gemini took control again and said to Virgo with a cocky grin on their face. "Its not our fault we are more eager to get going than you are." Virgo made no comment, at least not out loud where Gemini could hear it.

Virgo mutters, "Curse those foolish twins and their ability to create new insults and taunts." The spirits made Mercury's body rise up from the bed and walk her toward the door.

Meanwhile Sailor Venus saw Sailor Mercury walking out of the cottage. Thinking that her friend couldn't find anything of value in one of the small cottages, Venus shrugs her shoulders and went on about her business. She figured she can ask her friend later on what they found. In the cottage she was looking through the room looked very pretty to browse around. The bed had a luxurious silky bedsheets and a couple of nice windows to look through. Some plant boxes were underneath the windows. While this place looked tempting enough to stay in, Venus knows that there is some work that needs to be done. The only things she could find unusual were a scale to play around with it and a bull statue from where she was. How the statue came to be there she wasn't quite sure but she could detect a strange feeling in her chest that she shouldn't go anywhere near that thing. In fact, her conscious was telling her that she should just leave the cottage and not look back.

Just as she was turning to leave, she could hear a males voice calling from behind her. "Hey there! Do you need any help young lady?" Venus turns to see who it was and sitting on the bed looking at her was a man about her age, perhaps two years older than her, with light green highlights in his shoulder length black hair. She thought he almost looked like he could be Tiger's Eyes identical cousin but not quite. Whereas Tiger's Eye had a broad chest, this guy has an average looking chest. His button up shirt was exposing the top half of his chest and he had dark green shorts on. There was no sign of any shoes on his feet.

Venus blinks in confusion as she wondered if she was seeing things she wasn't supposed to. "Um... No. I don't really need any help. I just didn't know if I should be here or not. I was just checking things out."

The young man cocks his eyebrows in concern as he asks. "Are you sure? Maybe if you have questions about what is here, I can tell you what you want to know." He gets up from the bed and took a step toward her. Venus took a step back.

Venus shakes her head, trying to be polite with him while keeping her distance. "Sorry. I have been told not to talk with strangers."

"Stranger? Ha, ha!" The young man laughed at the thought. "I'm no stranger. I am one of your own people locked away in the temple princess Venus."

"How do you know who I really am?" Sailor Venus questions, uncertain if she could trust him. "You are not one of Queen Beryl's new minions are you? Or are you from the Black Moon Clan? Death Busters? Dead Moon Circus people? Or Galaxia's new minion?"

The young man quirks his eyebrows up in confusion as he answers honestly with a shrug of his shoulders. "Never met any of those people you are talking about. I have just been here my whole life. Oh but listen to me talk, I have forgotten to introduce myself properly. I am known as the 'Bull Fighter' in the planet of Venus where we once lived before being sent to Earth in this dreadful place. You may call me Taurus. In truth I would prefer to be called by my full title, "Taurus the Running Bull", but I'm not fussy."

"I don't remember seeing you on planet Venus before Queen Beryl attacked the Moon Kingdom." Sailor Venus tried to remember in the distant past when she was once the princess of her kingdom, but couldn't find anything about the guy. Maybe perhaps she was so into her job of being the leader of Sailor Moon's bodyguards that she didn't even notice what was going on in her own neck of the woods. Or maybe he was there when her mother and father were young. "How did you get stuck here Taurus?"

"All of the royal families of the Solar System exiled me and my brothers and sisters here for the rest of our lives. They bound us to the things that we loved on our planets and tossed us in the temple to live out our lives in punishment for what we had done." Taurus explains.

"There's more of you? I didn't see anyone hiding in the temple." Sailor Venus blinks her eyes as she processed what was said.

"Of course you didn't see them!" Taurus exclaims with a small smile and shrugs his shoulders. "Their souls are trapped in the items that they held on to before we got stuck here."

"So can you explain why you are named after one of the Zodiac signs?" Sailor Venus asks.

"Named after them?" Taurus was confused by what Sailor Venus was saying, so she did her best to explain it better.

"There is a thing called Zodiac Astrology and it basically tells us which Zodiac aligns with the dates and what different personality sets the Zodiacs have for each person. The girls and I liked playing around with it to see which one of us had what Zodiac on our birthdays." Venus said. "But anyway I better get going in catching up with my friends. I'll tell them that you are here and that you are in need of help. Where exactly is the item that you are bound to?"

Taurus gestures to the bull statue and the scale. "But don't you think you can help me out of here on your own princess? My sister who is locked away in the scale would appreciate you helping us as well."

"I wish I could, but I don't really know how to unlock what you are having problems with on the statue and the scale." Venus said, trying to snake her way out of trying to help him out right away.

"No you silly! The only way to get us out is to touch them." Taurus smiles.

"That's odd. Do you really think that can work?" Venus questions, not sure if she can trust what he said. But however much she wanted to just leave the cottage behind, she wanted to help the poor young man and his siblings. The first item she touched was the scale as she lifts it off the shelf next to the bed and with her other hand she briefly touches the head of the bull statue.

The next thing Venus knew was that she felt a jolt like she got zapped by electricity inside of her body and she fainted from the intense shock she endured. She was conscious enough to hear the sound of banging from the scale as it fell from her grasp and onto the ground. Trying to struggle and get her arms and legs to work Venus reaches for her brooch to call the other scouts for help. She didn't get very far as she got hit in the back of her head, and she fell into a motionless sleep.

"My little seduction tricks never gets old." Taurus grins as he brings the unconscious princess of Venus toward the bed. He had to flex his right hand a bit from having to knock the girl out cold in order for his plan to work.

"Shut it Taurus!" A small child voice speaks up while the scale was glowing in a pink color. "Can't you see that you are not going to get her to trust you anymore? After that stunt you pulled to get us both out of this place? She isn't going to like this situation one bit when she finds out what we are going to do with her!"

Taurus shrugs his shoulders as he leans over the scale that is lying on the floor. "It was the fastest and most effective way in taking possession of her! If I hadn't done that then the princess of Venus would have been more hard to control! You think I am cruel to do it this way to someone who is our sovereign? She was kind enough to care about our position to see if she wanted to help us. I did what I thought was right to keep her from going back on her word. But enough about that Libra, the hard part is over and we will be one step closer in getting out of this dump. I just hope that she forgives me for what I had to do."

The spirit of Libra shakes her head at him. "You should be more worried about asking for MY forgiveness when you dragged me into this cult along with the others! Virgo and I didn't want anything to do with the chaos and destruction the rest of you were causing! It makes me feel ashamed to be apart of something that solidifies what everyone said about us in the Moon Kingdom long time ago, that we were monsters who cared about nobody but ourselves."

"Don't be concerned about the past Libra. That door is closed now and we must finish where we started on planet Venus. But in the meantime..." He touches Sailor Venus' hair to brush it away from her eyes. "You better find a good distraction so that the princess' consciousness remains locked inside of her mind. Maybe you should introduce her to your little 'balancing' games you like to play." Taurus vanishes inside of Sailor Venus as his laughter echoes in the cottage. The spirit of Libra walks out of the scale she was sealed inside and gingerly lays next to her sleeping host until her spirit merged with her.

Back inside of the mansion, Sailor Mars and Sailor Moon were trying to catch up to Sailor Uranus but they lost track of her in one of the rooms. The next room they were in was filled to the brim with weapons that would make a solider in the army marvel at the magnificence of such a display. Sailor Mars seethes in disappointment in not getting to Sailor Uranus in time. "Blast it! We should have left the last room we were in a little earlier!"

"Don't worry Rei. We are bound to catch up to her along with the rest of the scouts." Sailor Moon assured as she browses around the room for any clues. "I think it might be best if I venture upstairs. The sooner we get this searching done we can go home. This war room is giving me the creeps."

"Well I suppose one of us should go on ahead and keep an eye on one of our team members." Sailor Mars relents as she takes a closer look at one of the weapons hanging on the shelves. She found it odd that there was a black bracelet with a red spike laying underneath some katana blades. As soon as Sailor Moon went upstairs to see if she can find Sailor Uranus, Mars thought that maybe she should get the bracelet back to where it should be; in a jewelry compartment. With this in mind she picked up the bracelet, but then as soon as she touched it her eyes held a vacant hypnotized look to them.

Sailor Mars attached the bracelet on her left wrist, her body moving like a puppet on strings. Silently Mars looks around the room for a suitable weapon to play with first, but then she looks at her hands as if they were unfamiliar to her. A voice speaks forth from the girls throat, a males voice rough and smooth. "So this is the princess of Mars... I half expected that the royal family would have warned you about not touching our relics." She shrugs her shoulders. "Oh well, it can't be helped if the royal family didn't tell them about us. These girls will learn about us soon enough. Time to train, but first lets get you into something more... combat appropriate." Mars' eyes slanted in a way to show her disgust at her Sailor Scout uniform and went over to move an axe to point at the right side for a closet door to open up behind it. Mars walks into the closet and closes the door behind her.

Meanwhile, Sailor Moon stood in the entry of another room, this one looked like a master bedroom with a huge bed and white sheets. The bed had a curtain to wrap around the bed and a huge balcony to look at the window. Personally Sailor Moon thought that whoever was the original owner of the room ought to be given some fashion citation on the looks of the room. While it did seem luxurious to her it just wasn't her type of style. There was also a small bathtub in one corner of the room, or was that a hot tub? She couldn't decide what it was. "It doesn't look like there is anything here. Well if there isn't anything, then that means I can gather up the team and go back home!" Gleefully Sailor Moon shrugs her shoulders in a 'whatever' gesture and she begins whistling her theme song as she starts walking toward the door.

She just didn't expect for Tuxedo Mask to stop her in her tracks when she banged into his chest. "OOF!" She bit her tongue on accident and fans her mouth before she took notice of her boyfriend. "Oh Darien! When did you get up here? Did you find what you were searching for downstairs?"

Tuxedo Mask acted like he didn't hear her the first time as he blinks in confusion. "Oh! I was just coming up to check on you and see how you are doing." He answers, his voice sounding extra smooth like silk. "I couldn't find anything useful downstairs."

"That's a shame." Sailor Moon was bummed out at the failed attempt to see anything unusual at the temple. "I didn't find anything here either."

"You might have either missed something that was right in front of you or you are incredibly lazy to not look hard enough." Tuxedo Mask gently jabbed at her, making her remember the first time they met when he thought she did pretty badly at her test in school. "Here let me take a look." Sailor Moon steps aside and allows him to look around the room. He came back to her while holding what appeared to be a jewel in his hands. Sailor Moon took a closer look and saw that the jewel was a pure white diamond in the shape of a crab.

"What would I need with this? Didn't Sailor Saturn say that we shouldn't touch anything unusual here?" She said, remembering the talk Tuxedo Mask and Saturn wanted to tell everyone before they all went their separate ways.

Tuxedo Mask shrugs his shoulders and explains gently. "For one thing this jewel is nothing unusual. I can sense a lot of power packed into this little thing and I think it would look good on your moon stick. We just need to replace the silver crystal with the jewel here and you will have more backbone in your attacks. And for the second reason I think Saturn was probably reacting back to the time when Galaxia first attacked us so it would explain that she was on edge for anything that doesn't seem normal to us."

Sailor Moon wasn't sure of how to reply, but she nods her head, trusting his judgement. "Well, if you think its alright, then I will try it out. Only for you Darien!" She switches out the silver crystal and places the crablike jewel on her moon stick.

But then just as she secured the crab jewel on her moon stick, Sailor Moon felt like she was having difficulty breathing, as if some sort of invisible creature was squeezing the life out of her. Feeling like she needs to take a breather, she left Tuxedo Mask to seek some sanctuary at the balcony, hoping to catch her breath.

It only got worse as she started seeing her blond hair turning pale as a ghost. Something was going on and she tried to remove the crab jewel from the moon stick herself, but she didn't have enough strength to take it out. Something was sucking the energy out of her body and her mind was starting to get fuzzy. Seeing no other option, she tried calling for help from the other scouts. "Sailor Scouts! Help me!" It appeared that no one heard her call for help. Not in the temple and not outside of the temples perimeter. She tried again, realizing that her only hope was Tuxedo Mask, she attempted to reach her hand out to him. But he wasn't coming to help her and comfort her in this time. He just stood there, with a wicked smile on his face as he held onto the orange rose. Sailor Moon's eyes widen in horror that this wasn't her Darien! What had happened to him after getting his fingers pricked by that rose?

There was still one hope for her left. Sailor Moon gathered up strength in her voice as she cries to the night sky, her voice echoing while the silver crystal sent out a distress signal. "MINI MOON!"

(Back at the Quartet's house)

"MINI MOON!" Rini jolts awake from her sleep at the sound of Sailor Moon's voice screaming in the silver crystal that Rini kept right next to her while she was sleeping with the girls in their tent.

It appeared to Rini that the Quartet were too deep in sleep to realize what was going on. She turns her head to see Vesta and Pallas snuggling together and Juno cuddling with one of her pillows while snoring lightly in her sleep. Ceres was peacefully sleeping next to Rini and she turns her body to the left side to get in a more comfortable position.

Rini couldn't help but feel that something about her silver crystal was off. She thought for sure that she was just imagining it but something happened to Sailor Moon's silver crystal and that Sailor Moon, her mom in the future, was in danger. It was a good thing she took her transformation brooch when she did.

Careful to not wake up the girls from their sleep, Rini gingerly walks out of the tent and zips it behind her. Taking a steady breath, Rini transforms herself into Sailor Mini Moon and rushes off to find where Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Scouts are and give them the help they need.
