Surrounded by crystal blue water and a blue sky with bright shining sun, there is a region of many islands. In this region, called Alola, there are four main islands and two smaller islands. On each island, people and strange creatures are living in peace and harmony. From the bustling cityscapes on Melemele Island to Wela Volcano's scorching rim on Akala Island, there are different creatures everywhere. These creatures have features and behaviors similar to animals. These mysterious creatures that are living throughout the entire region are known as Pokemon. At times throughout the region, people and Pokemon can work together through assignments and errands. Other times, people as young as ten years old can go out and catch these Pokemon and take care of them. These special people are known and are called by the title of Trainer. Overall, everyone in Alola gets along pretty well, regardless if they have or do not have any Pokemon. However, there is something amiss in a dangerous area on one of the biggest isles, Ulala.

Usually, it's the tops of Mount Lanakila, where the cold winds and snowy tops are usually dangerous areas. But, far away from the bitterly cold peaks, our focus is on an enclosed area on the ground. Surrounded by thick and tall walls, there is a district with two paths of broken houses. Both paths are separated by a central walkway that leads to an almost mysterious manor. The structure itself is mostly gray and it's not in the best condition. Between the broken windows to the crumbling walls, the main estate itself almost appeared to be uninhabitable. Yet, despite the small amount of care outside, there is activity inside the mansion. Inside the darkened foyer, the area is surrounded by an almost countless amount of young people looking upwards at two grownups. The young kids and teens, despite their gender, were all wearing the same style of clothing. A white beanie with black circles on the front is on the head, whilst a black bandana covers the mouth. On the body, everyone wears black tank tops, with necklaces with skulls on them on their necks. However, whilst both genders wear black socks and white shoes on their feet, the males have black shorts, whilst females have white shorts.

One boy, with blue hair, in the front of the group, is looking up with wide eyes. "Guzma, our treasured leader, you were just as savage as always!", he said with a happy voice. Guzma, the male grown-up, was lounging in a throne-like chair, sipping a bottle of water before crushing and tossing it toward the female adult near him. "Yeah, I know. But there's just one thing I can't stand...", he says with furrowed brows. "Is that Pokemon School gang with those unfair Z-Moves?", a pink-haired girl said to him, who is also in the front of the group. Guzma nods as he brushes off his gray jacket and black shoes. "Although I hate them... It's not the entirety of the group that I'm concerned about, however," he says with a growl, "It's that brat with the Pikachu. His expression is just like Kukui's and I can't stand that!" As he walks away, the grown-up looks on with a smile, but inside, she's feeling something else. "Guzma, I know that you hate the students and their teacher, but you can't keep running away...", she thinks as she looks at Guzma, who just scowls at her. "Hey, Plumeria," a black-haired boy at the front says to the girl as she turns to face him, "Is Guzma gonna win against that boy?" She just shrugs and announces something to the group, "Team Skull Grunts, I don't know if Guzma will win in the first Alola League Semi-Finals, but you better cheer him on." The crowd cheers as Plumeria in her similar female grunt attire waves in a sudden breeze, "As for you, Tupp, Rapp, and Zipp, I want to see you in my room for a small meeting, and no you're not in trouble, we need to talk about something. This meeting is dismissed."

As the majority of grunts leave the manor, some have smiles underneath their bandanas. Once everyone else left the foyer of the manor, Plumeria motioned with her hand to the three kids that she mentioned. However, whilst the others that left had smiles, the trio had frowns as they head up the stairs. Once inside a small bedroom on the next floor, the kids see her have a glum look on her face as she sits on the bed. "What's wrong, Big Sis?", Tupp says with an uneasy voice, "Are you doubting the fact that Guzma is gonna win against that Ketchum guy?" Plumeria just shakes her head and that gives each of the kids a sigh of relief. "I am not doubting that, but what I am doubting about is Guzma's commitment to battling." The kids all look at each other in confusion as they eye Plumeria. "What do you mean by that? Guzma's undefeated, so, of course, he's gonna commit to that battle!", Rapp says with her eyes bulging. Plumeria then shushes her by explaining that Guzma has only picked and chosen his battles because deep down he feared losing any battles. As she describes this, the kids are horrified as Plumeria continues about Guzma. "Now that he's facing that Ash kid, I fear that he will do the same thing...", she says with a worried expression, "I fear that he and his partner, Golisopod will do just that or even use you to destroy the league..." As the kid grunts look on in horror, they then look at each other as Plumeria dismisses them from the room. As Plumeria looks at a photograph on her bedside nightstand, the focus now heads to Guzma's location.

Currently, Guzma is in the master bedroom. Inside the bedroom, there is a dresser that has a broken mirror on the left side. The dresser is also near a treasure chest that is currently locked. As Guzma lies back on the bed, he grunts in anger as he looks at a red and white ball with furrowed brows. "That brat... he's just like Kukui, I just can't deal with this!", said Guzma, as he puts down the ball on the dresser before slamming the bed with his fists. He then has several flashbacks of encounters not only with Kukui but also with a young kid, presumably "Ash". He then furiously slams the bed as tears rapidly come down his face. "I just wish... I just wish... that I can have a chance..." As he sits up, he covers his face with his hands as he continues to cry. "A chance to destroy that kid, Kukui, everyone's dreams, and this entirely ridiculous Alola Pokemon League all in one shot!" As keeps pounding at the mattress, more tears are streaming down his face. Just then, a sudden glow appears from the broken mirror. He doesn't notice it at first, but as he was crying his eyes out, several shards of the broken mirror are placing themselves back onto the mirror. As the shards reconnect, the sharp sounds cause Guzma to turn and face it. As he looks on in awe, he wipes the tears off his face. As he watches the mirror glow, more shards of glass come together until the mirror was fixed.

"So... you are the one named... Guzma...", a voice says, from where it appears to be coming from the mirror. "Who... or... what are you? And how do you know my name?", he says sniffling with confusion in his voice. "I am a creature that shares the same desire you do...", it responds in a robotic-like tone. "I desire to make the whole world silent and bow down to me..." Guzma's eyes widen as he listens to the description of the strange thing's main desire. "You know, I think we should be partners...", Guzma says as he looks on at a spectral shape that's now forming in the mirror. "You have read my mind, Guzma... I think we should be partners... The one who I originally chose, I just think he's pathetic and weak..." Guzma nods as he opens up the chest with a key on his skull necklace. "Well, unlike this person that you mentioned, I am very strong," he says as he pulls out a photo that contains a trio of people, all men. "What is this photo? And are they your friends or your enemies?", the shape says now spawning two red eyes. "It's mainly this person, the one in the white clothing, Kukui. I can never defeat him in battles back then...", he says with a frown before it changes to a sinister smile. "But, with you... maybe, just maybe... We can not only destroy his hopes and dreams but also get revenge!" The spectral shape then appears to nod as it spawns a mechanical hand and something comes out of it. "Very well then..." the voice says, pleased about something, "Take this... when the time is right... summon me to your world... and we can both achieve what we want, not as creatures, but as Deities of Destruction..."

As Guzma tilts his head, his eyes bulge in awe as a card appears on the dresser. He then goes outside the manor, where the sun is now mysteriously shining down on him. "You know my name, it's ya boy, Guzma, but what's your name, if I may ask?" As he asks this, he watches as the glow disappears from the mirror and then onto the once-blank card. The card then shows a mechanical creature in front of a sunset backdrop. "So, that's what you look like... but what is your name before we go deal out some destruction?" The voice just simply says, "Guzma, the leader of Team Skull, with you at my side and mine at yours, our ambitions will be fulfilled, and as for what my name is..." He eyes the card as the text reveals not only the name but also some chilling words. "So that's what your name is...," Guzma says as he smirks up at the sun. As he heads out with two red and white balls on his strap and the card on the back of his pendant. "Will you need the assistance of the other members of Team Skull?", the voice says inquisitively. "They can come, but I won't need their assistance," Guzma scoffs as he walks down the red brick road, "They're just worthless to me now that I have you..." As Guzma silently chuckles, he smirks as he eyes a stadium out in the middle of the ocean. "I sure hope that Kukui is ready to see his hopes and dreams be destroyed by me and you..." the lone human says as he eyes the card once again, "And before everyone in that stadium knows it, that kid will make the right choice. He will choose to give up, or else..." As Guzma snickers, he continues to walk down the road and out into the public area. Arriving at a boat near a dock, he tells the driver to head for Manalo Stadium. As the ship leaves the dock, both he and the voice from the card say something chilling under their breath.

"Everything that he treasures will all be destroyed... And soon... this world will be silenced... before the destruction... that WE shall bring..."

Meanwhile, on another Earth entirely, the sun shines in the afternoon sky in a bustling city in Japan. At a nearby hospital, a young girl is sitting on a bench. As a nurse takes an elderly patient in a wheelchair down a brick path, she talks with someone on a smartphone. The sixteen-year-old teen smiles as her green hair blow through the wind. "We've good news about Chrono. They've given him the all-clear. And Mikuru is trying to get him discharged. Taiyou's injuries are more serious, but they are not life-threatening." The person on the other line is a male of similar age, with blond hair, blue eyes, and a black jacket over a white shirt. As he continues the conversation, he stands outside an ornate building in the middle of the night. "That's good, What about Kazuma?" he asks calmly as the moon shines down. "He left with the Apostles and we haven't heard anything from them since," the girl says with the same mood, "Mamoru and the others are looking for him." As the info is being spoken, the boy's eyes narrow. "Well now that's... concerning," he says getting a sad sigh from the girl in response. "Yeah, I know. Chrono was trying to save him... and he lost. He lost all of his G-Zone cards..." The teen lowers her head and closes her eyes in sadness before getting an assuring response. "Then we will just have to get them back for him," the boy says with a confident tone. The girl nods before someone on the other line gets taken over by a more energetic male "Tokoha! I need you to tell Shion to stop being so bossy! I can't take it anymore!", the voice says before the surprised girl takes the phone away from her ear. Over at Shion's side of the call, a white-haired young adult is holding up the phone with some tears in his eyes. As he talks to Tokoha, Shion watches with a smile, almost laughing out loud. "I know we have to find the Apostles, but why does he have to order me here, there, and everywhere?", he says as he wipes off tears with a handkerchief from his pocket. As he talks over the phone, Tokaha gives out a small laugh before giving her condolences to him. The oldest of the three talking now opens his yellow eyes before talking with Tokaha. "One other thing, take care of my amigo, Tokaha. He's got this habit of trying to do everything on his own," he says before getting a giggle of support from her as she disconnects the call. Her face then changes to a small frown before looking up at a planet's side that has a purple-like cloud that slightly glows. "Like you'd ever listen to me. Still, he's got a lot on his mind right now."

The view then changes to inside the hospital, in one of the many rooms, where a young adult is looking out at the same sight as Tokaha from his window. His green eyes are filled with worry as he wears his hospital robe. Watching him in the same room, is another male, about twenty years of age, wearing a red coat, and gray jeans. His arms are crossed as he leans back into the door. "Soon after Kazuma and the others disappeared. That's what appeared in the sky." The young teen grits his teeth as he heads to another room, where there is a younger male in the same robe but with a cast on his lower right leg. He fixes his reddish-blond hair as Chrono looks at him before asking how he's doing. "The operation seems to have been a success. It's not as bad as it looks, as long as I do my physio, I should make a full recovery! So there's no need to worry, Chrono!" The younger boy smiles as Chrono looks on in worry. As Chrono checks his red hair he apologizes to Taiyou, but he assures him that there was no need. But he tells him that he means it and he was sorry. Now back in his room, the adult of the pair is leaning on the wall, almost in the same stance as before. "Chrono, there's a message for you from your Aunt. She wants you to get changed while she does the paperwork, to get you discharged." Chrono looks down at his regular clothes, which consist of a yellow short-sleeved shirt, a red and black coat, and black socks. As he looks back at the man, he opens his yellow eyes as he explains that he not only talked with her, but a director by the name of Kouji Ibuki had made a special request for him to protect Chrono.

He then shows a deck of cards to him, which gets Chrono's attention. "But, the thing is... my deck right now...", he says with guilt in his voice. The adult then puts out that Chrono was the last one to fight someone by the name of Kazuma. Soon after, on the roof of the hospital, the two young adults stand at a table, before Chrono looks at a particular area on it. "I realize that this isn't going to be a fair Cardfight, knowing that you have no G-Units with you. No strides, no Generation Guards, no Generation Breaks either. But, I'd still like to have the cardfight, knowing that you fought Kazuma, I want to see what he saw." As he asks if Chrono is up to this game, he bows, with his white hair, tied in a ponytail, moving in the wind, just a bit. Chrono looks away as he responds to his question, causing the man to straighten up. "I get it. It's natural that you want to know, you are Kazuma's brother, Kazumi. 'Kay, I owe it to you." As Kazumi thanks him, they begin the card game as a flock of white doves takes flight, with the planet still in the distance. During the card game, Chrono grits his teeth as he has several flashbacks about a boy with black hair, with eyes having no pupils, but still alive. One flashback that occurs was with Taiyou explains to him Kazuma was trying to protect Chrono by fighting in his place, desperately. As he remembers this, his facial features tighten in anger and annoyance. "Why? Why would you do that for me? You're a fool... It's all my fault..." As he starts a turn, he has another flashback to when he was a kid, and a small mechanical creature, in the shape of a humanoid dragon, both reach out for each other. "What if... on that day, I would've never taken a hold of his hand?" As Kazumi finishes his turn, Chrono's eyes tear up as he has yet another flashback. In it, he sees a crowd of people, all around his age. As he stops, he looks down, and what he says next catches the attention of his opponent. "I can't... I don't think I can do it..."

Meanwhile, in another house, a young adult female is looking through a window in her bedroom. She too can see the purplish planet and has a worried expression on her face. "Oh Aichi, my big brother, I sure hope you're doing OK," she says before she plops on her bed and looks through a scrapbook. As she looks at photos including herself and her blue-haired brother, she stops at a section titled: "New Adventure: Pokemon Palooza!" She lights up as she skims through the pages of the scrapbook. Whilst some pages included drawings and photos, other pages included journal entries documenting the excursions. "Man, it's been such a long time... Aichi was missing... but I was the one who brought us to Kalos in the Pokemon World." She smiles as she looks back at her adventures written and drawn inside. As the teen puts the scrapbook away on the nearby bookshelf, a glow comes from a bedside mirror on the nightstand. She then examines the glow with curiosity in her eyes. "Hello? Is someone there?", she asks as the mirror glows even brighter before a purple claw extends out and its alien-like body comes out. As the girl jumps back in surprise, she looks at the creature, almost amazed. "Are you... a... a Pokemon?", the girl asks, stuttering throughout. "Yes, I am," the alien-like figure says, making Emi dumbfounded at the sight. "Are you... Emi Sendou?" the Pokemon says with a smile. "I am... but how do you know my name? There's only one other person from another world that knows me..."

"So, what are you doing here in my home world and what is your name?", she asks the alien-like Pokemon with a raised brow. "I am Naganadel, and I'm a special kind of Pokemon... I'm called an Ultra Beast," the Pokemon says whilst spinning in happiness. As it spins, Emi gazes at the odd body, from the small claws and head to the enlarged body and stinger-like tails. "Emi, my friends may not know it yet, but they are going to need you and your friends' help..." She looks at the Pokemon with a raised brow at the request made by the Ultra Beast. "My best friend, Ash Ketchum, he is about to battle in the Semi-finals of the first ever Alola Region Pokemon League...", as the Pokémon mentions the person's name, her face lights up and she looks back at the photo album she just viewed. However, that's when the Pokemon's voice deepens with a growl. "Unfortunately, we have reason to believe that one of the competitors, has a plan involving an otherworldly force," Naganadel says in an angered tone, "It's likely the same evil creature from Planet Cray that you, your family, and your friends are facing." Emi looks out the window as her facial features tighten. "It is... The Dragon Deity of Destruction... Gyze...", she thinks as she looks at the Pokemon with a confident look. "I don't know anything about it, and neither do Ash or his friends... so we could sure use your help."

Emi nods as she stands up and proceeds to leave the room. As she comes back into the room, she heads on over to the walk-in closet. She then proceeds to get a suitcase and a bag from her closet and comes out with a smile. "Well, I just got the approval from my Mom, and she says it's OK for me to come with you to the Alola Region!" The Pokemon smiles and spins as he explains the region and Emi proceeded to grab the correct clothes and supplies for the journey ahead. "I can't believe that I'm going to see Ash again!!", Emi says as she adjusts her orange-blond hair before nodding to the Pokemon. As a portal that resembles a huge crack opens in the doorway of Emi's bedroom, the two nod before heading through. As many colors pass both her and the Ultra Beast, Naganadel spins and twirls around her as if she was the Sun and Naganadel was a planet. "Just know, I'm heading back to my world, but this Ultra Wormhole should take you on your way to Alola." As Emi nods at Naganadel's plans, the Pokémon disappears from the path through another portal. She then exits the portal before landing on a sandy beach. "So this is a beach here in the Alola Region, huh?", she says before pulling out As she turns to face a stadium out in the distance, she makes a declaration before heading on her way.
