STARK

Water... hmm mm... water, water, water...

How about a soda water?

ReED

That'll be fine.

Howard pours a glass of soda water for Reed and hands it to him across the desk he raises his glass and smiles at Reed.

Reed looks at the glass of soda water and raises to Stark. He looks at it and sets it down on the desk.

STARK

... and putting some coin in our pockets.

Reed looks uncomfortable.

REED

So there'll be military applications involved in our research?

Howard leans back in his chair.

STARK

Reed, you can't be this naive and make it in business. Of course, there will be military application from this project. I mean, you are aware that your pilot is a member of the military as well, right.

REED

Ben flies planes he doesn't fight anymore.

STARK

Look I know you want to save the world with that giant brain of yours Reed, but that takes money, and weapons research is the fastest way to get it. This is defense department project, after all.

Reed nods.

REED

I understand that...

Howard drains his scotch.

STARK

I tell you what, Reed. Why don't we worry about actually getting this thing off the ground before we worry about the applications of the technology.

Reed thinks for a moment then nods.

REED

Okay, we'll discuss this later...
