Chapter 1-The Winner.
A commercial aired on a TV, featuring several superheroes and cartoon characters.
"Now that we have your attention, we have an important announcement to make." said Bugs Bunny before he showed a huge city.
"We are proud to announce that after much legal hassle and much needed reconstruction, we have finally restored CN City, a place where many of the characters from Cartoon Network and Warner Bros used to live in. Unfortunately, some time ago in 2007, the city had to be foreclosed and we all had to move back to our original homes. But, now, we're returning to our favorite city." Bugs said before he pointed at the viewer, "And you get a chance to come with us! Enter the CN City Sweepstakes! Just find special pins inside specially marked boxes of cereal and come to Mako Train Station in Animation Town! The winner doesn't just get a chance to come to CN City for a few days, but will also have the opportunity to spend time with the Justice League and our special guests from the neighboring city named Toontown, the Incredibles! Here are the pins!" Bugs then showed a set of pins resembling Batman, Wonder Woman, Chiroptera, the Avengers symbol, and the Incredibles.
"Good luck collecting! Once you've gathered all the pins, send a photo to this address and write down your name and P.O. Box!" Bugs said as he showed the address, "397 Hanna-Barbera Avenue, Toon Town, USA, 28923."
From that day forward, as you can probably guess, things got crazy. People were swarming shops, grabbing any and all cereal boxes they could get their hands on. Stores had to brace themselves for floods of customers.
2 weeks later, at a small urban house, where a young boy was searching through a pile of cereal...
"It's got to be here somewhere." he said as he dug through a pile of Frosted Flakes until he found what he was looking for, a pin that looked like Batman's head. He put it in the inside of his Captain America Jacket, next to the Incredibles, Wonder Woman, and Chiroptera.
"All right, that's almost all of them." said the boy as he dug through more of the cereal.
"Which one are you missing, Eric?" asked a woman with blonde hair as she watched him dig through the cereal.
"I'm missing the Avengers symbol. I've gone through so many boxes of cereal, and I can't find that one." Eric said as he dug through more cereal, only to find duplicates of the ones he already had.
"Man." Eric said.
"Hey, you still have a couple of days. Why not take a break and go outside to play Pokemon GO?" Hannah asked.
"Okay, I'll be back soon, Mom and Dad." Eric said as he left the house.
"Be careful out there, son." Jake, Eric's dad, called.
As Eric walked outside, he was paying attention to the Porygon he was trying to catch before he bumped into someone. He looked to see a girl with blonde hair.
"Sorry about that, I wasn't looking where I was going." Eric said as he helped the girl up.
"That's okay. But, I think you stepped on one of my Avengers symbol pins." the girl said. Eric lifted up his foot and saw that the pin in question was broken into pieces.
"Oh, crap! I'm so sorry!" Eric said.
"It's fine. I have another one. But, isn't that a bit strange?" the girl asked.
"Yeah. The pin shouldn't have broken that easy." Eric said before he looked closely at it and saw something funny. The piece looked like it was made of stone, not metal.
"This is weird. This pin is made of stone." Eric said.
"What?" the girl asked as she took it.
"Those three tricked me!" she said.
"What do you mean?" Eric asked.
"I bought this pin from some people up the street who said they were selling the Avengers symbol pins since they were the hardest ones to find." the girl said.
"Well, I think that warrants an investigation. Can you show me where they are?" Eric asked.
"This way." the girl said as she led him to a table where kids were crowded to buy pins.
"Step right up. Get your Avengers symbol pins right here!" said a girl with long red hair.
"Get one step closer to CN City!" said a guy with blue hair.
"Move it! These pins aren't gonna sell themselves!" said a short person.
Eric and the girl moved through the crowd and walked up to the table.
"Excuse us, but we would like a refund." Eric said.
"May we ask why?" the girl asked.
"This girl here said that you sold her two of these Avengers symbol pins, but they're nothing more than just painted pieces of stone." Eric said as he showed the broken fake pin. This caused the three to get worried.
"Hey, he's right! Mine's stone! Mine, too! They ripped us off!" the kids started going.
The three looked worried before the woman said, "Forget this!" and they ran into some trees before lifting off in a Meowth-shaped balloon.
"Hey, give back our money!" said a girl.
"Prepare for trouble. Why should we?" said the girl.
"Make it double. We're loaded with green!" said the boy.
"To protect the world from devastation." the girl said.
"To unite all peoples within our nation." the boy said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love." the girl said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above." the boy said.
"Jessie." the girl identified herself.
"James." the boy followed with.
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight!" James said before a cat-like creature with a coin between its ears came out of the balloon
"Meowth! That's right!" it said.
"You thieves! Bring back our money!" kids started shouting.
"They won't get away with this." Eric said before he ran and climbed up a tree close to the balloon.
"With this much money, we can make a machine powerful enough to take over CN City!" Jessie said before they noticed Eric on a tree branch.
"That money's not yours!" Eric yelled as he jumped in the balloon and fought Team Rocket over the money. Eventually, Meowth tried to scratch Eric and ended up scratching open the bag, causing the money to fly out to the crowd. Unfortunately, Eric also fell out of the basket when he dodged a scratch. He braced himself, but suddenly didn't feel like he was falling anymore. He looked and saw he was being carried by a woman with black hair wearing silver and golden armor that resembled her original suit with armored shells on her arms and legs.
"Wonder Woman?" Eric asked.
"You okay?" she asked.
"Yeah." Eric said as she set him down.
"What happened here?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Those three in the balloon were trying to con us by giving us pieces of rock that they made to look like Avengers symbol pins." said a kid.
Wonder Woman looked at Team Rocket, who looked scared before she threw her shield and caused a tear that sent their balloon flying.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket yelled as they flew off.
"Maybe that'll teach them." Eric said before the girl from before walked up.
"Thank you. You got our money back." she said.
"Just glad I could help." Eric said.
"So, you're the one responsible for getting that money back?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Yes, ma'am." Eric said.
"Well, then that warrants a reward." Wonder Woman said before she handed him an Avengers symbol pin.
"All right! Thanks, Wonder Woman!" Eric said before he opened the case that he kept his pins in and put it in.
"Young man, may I see your pins?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Yes, ma'am." Eric said, handing her the case.
Wonder Woman looked at the pins and saw that he had every one.
"Does anyone else here have all the pins?" she called. No response.
"We haven't had any mail-ins yet, so, young man, that means you've won!" Wonder Woman said.
Eric looked surprised as the crowd cheered.
"Way to go! Hooray!" they cheered.
"I won?! Seriously?!" Eric asked.
"Yes, I'll just need you to fill this out." Wonder Woman said, handing him a form.
Eric signed all needed fields.
"Thank you. We'll see you in three days at CN City. The train leaves from Animation Town 2 days from today at 5:00 PM. See you then, Eric." Wonder Woman said before she flew off.
Eric stood there, stunned, before he jumped and whooped.
3 days later, Eric and his family stepped out of a train and into the welcoming platform.
"Well, doc, glad to see you could come." Bugs Bunny said.
"I'm really honored to be here, Bugs." Eric said.
"Well then, without further ado, welcome to CN CITY!" Bugs said as he cut the ribbon to officially reopen CN City, to a cheering crowd.
