Story By A Writer With No Name
Author's Note: Hi everyone, so I've been trying and failing to produce a story. About our favorite Evangelion pilots fighting the Angels with the power of rock music. Some of you who have been following me probably remember a few of the iterations. Though I've deleted them all because I'm not exactly proud of any of them. I've always wanted to treat fanfiction more seriously than other authors have in the past. I know that might seem laughable, but I hope you can respect my attempts.
I wanted to capture the feeling of the original show. While giving it a happy ending through a creative use of how the characters would finally be able express their pain and isolation. One of the many problems though is how grand in scale it is. I'm basically rewriting the entire story, revolving around how these new versions of the characters deal with the events coming up. Along with what songs they play and how they could fit together.
But, there is one collection of songs that I knew had to be in the story. Off an album famously theorized about in the Evangelion community, or at least if you've read the Evangelion Iceberg. That would of course have to be Pink Floyd's The Wall. A seemingly perfect metaphor for the entirety of the show. The tale about a troubled man who is haunted by his past and images that society has forced upon him. Resulting in him constructing a mental barrier around himself that further speeds up his descent into madness.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get to that part of the story to make it a reality. So today, I've decided to cut the bullshit and give you that part of the story. Recontextualized in its own separate one-shot style story. I don't really have any future for this tale after the credits roll at the end. If this does get enough attention, perhaps I'll even do an epilogue and/or reboot of the original idea for the story. But enough is enough, I've always wanted to write this particular part and share it with all of you.
I hope you enjoy and let's all pray that I can finally finish one of these things. As well as being satisfied with it at the end. Let's find out.
