Professor McGonagall sighed...

Prompt

"Look professor," the Muggle father across from her said, "this is all very impressive and I think there may be something to this magic stuff that you're talking about. But, there is no way that our little Timmy is one of your 'wizards'."

Professor McGonagall almost scoffed. The Hogwarts' Admittance Book was never wrong. "Haven't you ever seen something strange happen to your son? Toys floating? Injuries mysteriously disappearing? Anything like that?"

The father and mother look at each other then shook their heads in unison.

The professor sighed again and drew her wand. She passed it to the young boy, handle first.

"This will be proof enough, I think. Just give it a little wave and that'll show your parents, okay?"

Poor little Timmy was looking totally overwhelmed by all of this, but he took the outstretched wand anyway. Looking at it sceptically, and perhaps thinking himself a little foolish, he waved the wand and said:

"Abracadabra."

There was a flash of green light and the visiting professor dropped to the floor. A quick examination showed that she wasn't breathing, nor did she have a pulse.

"Oh dear," said the father.
