The Eddsworld Carnage-

(TW: Blood- Strong language- Gore- Suggestive content-)

The Beginning of the End

Dying. That's what it felt like anyways. Edd and he had been at it for hours now, either it was Tord beating the shit out of him, or the other way around. He was bleeding profoundly now, on his side. He held the wound but he knew it wouldn't help. Glaring at Edd, panting, he knew he was close to passing out now, but he couldn't, he won't.

"You're looking tired Tord, Had enough yet?", Edd spat, still with that crazed smile. Where had it gone wrong? Tord just stood his ground, "No, I can't let you win." Tord rasped.

"Funny you should say that," Edd said and before he had time to comprehend what was happening or what he even said, Edd rushed at him with inhuman speed and thrust the weapon into his stomach, a dagger to say the least.

Tord was numb. Numb all over, he couldn't even feel the metal in his stomach twist. Tord, in shock, looks at Edd. The look of determination and domination, that same smile he's seen a million times, still has the same effect, fear.

"I win..." Edd whispered in his ear, then started laughing, getting louder, but Tord wasn't listening, He could feel a wet liquid on his hand, and he raised it up to look. blood. He felt pain travel all around him, finally getting out of his shocked state, he didn't even realize he was on the ground now.

He felt himself losing consciousness, he felt the blood pool out of him before he felt someone drag him. He didn't care, he was going to die.

I failed...I'm sorry Tom.

These were his final thoughts before his world went black.

Then that was that of the memory. The only thing he remembers before being stuck in a cell, and Edd telling him he was lucky he didn't leave him to die. Although we would've been happier if he had died while fighting, with much more grace and honor in that, then he would've been a failure to Tom, Paul, and pat, unable to fix what he broke.

He guessed this was God's way of telling him he had another chance if he could get out of this bloody cell! He thought in anger, but it slowly died out as he looked at the cell floor, feeling helpless once again, thinking back to when he was a leader Almost having the opportunity to hold the world in his hand for a better purpose than to just rule, he wanted to make it better for all of those poor souls, but Edd fouled his plans at the last second, destroying what he had started and made his own rebellion.

He used fear instead of persuading them, like he did, although he had to use some fear, and maybe cost a few unlikely souls, but not to the extent of massacre. Edd used extensive violence, and death, making most of the world a dystopia. Tord just wanted to make it a better place, Tord had little hope now that he thought Edd might be doing the same thing, maybe resetting the population to the bare minimum. He would never know.

He sat in the corner, suppressing the urge to cry, he was strong goddam it! He wasn't going to let Edd break him, even if it killed him.

Then he traveled down memory lane again and remembered when they were younger.

Edd was the so-called "Leader" of the group, he had brought them together, and formed a bond between them that was unbreakable, or so it seemed.
Tom was the shy unusual kid, who didn't talk much, but was friendly and always wanted to go on their next adventure.
Matt was the naive and sweet kid, who just so happen to be a bit vain, not the sharpest tool in the toolbox, but his mother always got them out of trouble.
And then there was Tord, the Norwegian who knew some English but Edd had to help him when he was new to their school, and Edd and they helped him around. They became friends after that and stayed together.

But when they got into their teenage years, Edd started acting weird, Matt got really quiet, and Tom got more aggressive, Tord was confused by the behavior. And as in Edd acting weird, he would whisper things to himself that he couldn't really make out, and he would start laughing for no reason.

He should've paid more attention, maybe even asked but never got to it for when he left them to pursue his dream, but his dream was short-lived when he decided to go back to their old house. Only to find it in shambles, and all of them gone.

He found them, but they weren't themselves…

His head started to hurt thinking about it…He doesn't think about the past for too long, it hurts.

But to see all of them in the state they're in now…It's awful to think about. He has seen Matt with Edd too, but he never spoke to him, well at first anyways, it almost seemed like he was afraid to. It was hard to tell what Matt was feeling most of the time because of his neutral face and monotone voice.

He didn't have time to dwell on it when He heard the gate door open with a creak of the rusted hinges, he didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

"Come to take some more skin Edd?" Tord said, expecting himself to be slammed against the wall, and get lechered again. But that didn't happen.

"I'm not Edd." A male voice said. Matt. His voice his monotone and devoid of emotions voice...What did Edd do to him all those years ago?

Tord decided to turn around this time.

What got was attention first, was that bright orange hair, a trademark usually. He was wearing a long white coat down to his knees, his sleeves were long enough to cover his hands and more so, sending at his knees also, he wore black pants and black boots, there was also a white paper on his forehead, not sure what it was used for though, one of his eyes were pink, and the other black.

He held something, a tray, most likely with food on it.

Tord formed a scowl on his face and turned back around, "I'm not hungry…" He said, crossing his arms, he knew he was being stubborn and childish, but he just wouldn't, he won't. He will be a burden to Edd and refuse anything Edd gave or took, he didn't care anymore. But with Matt it was different, sure he goes by the same rules, but Matt was at least kind towards him, in his own weird way.

Matt just walked closer to him, and sit beside him. Setting the tray down, and nudging it closer to Tord. Like that would do anything. "Eat." Matt said, "If you don't eat, Edd will just punish you again…" It sounded like he wanted to say more but stop there. Edd would most likely punish him too. Edd needs something, from both of them, even if one gets better treatment than the other.

"No, I said I'm not hungry…" Tord said over his shoulder. Then back around, "And I don't care what Edd does to me…" Tord said, lying to himself. "But I do," Matt said. Tord was taken aback. No, Matt doesn't care, he never did and won't start caring now, and neither will Edd.

Matt just stares. Tord can feel his eyes burning the back of his head, slowly becoming angry by the second. Tord whips around, "What?!" Tord says abruptly, which Matt doesn't even blink nor flinch.

"I'm waiting…" He said plainly. Tord blinked, then it donned on him, right the food. He was lying when he said he wasn't hungry, he looked at the items of food. There was a bowl of chicken soup, a cup of water, a piece of bread, and a spoon. Sure it doesn't sound all that great, but it was different than the average rat, and grey stuff Edd usually gives him. What gives?

Matt must've sensed the confusion because he answered his question without having to say anything, "It is a proper meal, in your physical state, it is best to start out slow, and with something with more nutrition than the medicated-filled grey meat he usually serves you. So I decided to make this for you." Matt said.

Although Tord was internally grateful Matt would do this for him, even if he did go out of his way to do so, he wouldn't trust him or Edd.

Tord eyed the food wearily, what if it was a trick? Did he taint it?

"I didn't taint to food in any way, so you don't have to worry about that. There is no point drugging it if your already here, plus Edd doesn't need you for another experiment today or this week, to many other things to worry about." Matt said, Once again Tord wasn't expecting that.

"How can I trust what you say?" Tord looked at Matt, impassive.

Matt sighed, not in an annoyed way, but almost sounded disheartened. No. Matt doesn't have emotions anymore, or that he knows of.

Matt stood up, and walked to the gate door. Opened it then shut it behind him, and through the bars he said, "Please, whatever you do, listen to Edd. Do as he says, if you don't, then I seriously hope that you have someone kind of escape plan. I miss how things were in the past… Please don't make things worse then they are now." And with that he was gone.

Tord was left staring at the gate. Processing and trying to put words together, only for them to be scrambled again. Matt was like a puzzle, with some of the pieces missing, either you have most or none. Listen to Edd? Not in a million years! He didn't care if he died in the next experiment, fuck Edd!

He wished he could help Edd, but for the three months he's been there, Edd might be a whole happy meal forgotten short at the McDonals, only for another family to take it instead. Edd is unable to be helped, he's seen him at his best, and his worst. Edd has reached the top only to come back down to the bottom of them bucket list. Tord is his so called 'Test Subject', But even then he treats him less than that, who knows when Edd lost it during the 'Experiments'

They call them 'Experiments' but it's more like there trying to get something out of him, an answer on where the rest are? He wouldn't expose Tom and them like that. Maybe it's something bigger, he couldn't tell, all he knows is that Edd needs something from him. When Tord wouldn't give an answer, Edd would chain him and taze him, he would use other methods too…

Tord shivered, he didn't want to think about that now.

He left the food when he stood up and went to the gate door, he nudged it but wouldn't budge open. He did this everyday to see if one of them would forget to lock it. He sighed, and sat on the cold tiled floor near the gate. He leaned against it, closed his eyes, and after everything, he's still able to fall asleep. His last thought, was the last thing Matt said, "I miss how things were in the past… Please don't make things worse then they are now." Before falling asleep…

(P.O.V. Change … Tom)

It's been Three Months. Three months Tord went missing.

He watched from afar as Tord got stabbed with a dagger, in the stomach to be exact, by Edd. Tom was basically screaming Tords name, while he was stuck under some ruble. And as Tord fell to the ground, Edd dragged him agross the ground as a trail of blood followed. Tom was blacking out from pain, and not being able to breath right. Then some unknown force dragged him out, it was probably Paul or Pat, but he couldn't tell.

As he was dragged out of the rubble, and he passed out due to blood loss.

Next thing he knew, he woke up in the infermery yelling Tords name.

Now he was scanning a map to search for Edds base, maybe Tord was in one of the bases, they've only found some clues, but end up empty handed in the end. It like they disapeared into thin air!

He threw the map aside, and slammed his hands down on the table. Soon after he heard to door open with a creak. He turned around and saw Pat standing there.

"Am I interrupting something?" He asked as he was holding some files and set them down on the table beside him.

"No… I was just thinking.." Tom said as he sat down. He saw Pat glance at the map on the ground and picked it up, "I can see that…" He said as he raised a brow at Tom, placing the map dack down on the table.

"Do you have any leads?" Pat asked after a bit of hesitation. He was worried Tom was stressing himself out over this, and of course him and Paul were worried sick for Tord, who knows what Edd could be doing to him.

"No…After three whole damn months…nothing, I'm empty handed…" Tom said with a mix of anger, sadness, regret. "If I hadn't had made Tord go out there, or had made Tord change his mind about going out there…" Tom said, his voice cracking in the middle.

Pat looked at Tom, Tom looked tired, worn out, and ready to give up almost, but he knew he wouldn't and neither will they. "Tom, If Tord didn't go out there, it could've been anyone of us, and we would still be in this situation." Pat said, using logic, he knows he should comfort Tom, telling him that they would find him, but he knew Tom wanted the hard truth and not sugar code it.

Tom looked up at Pat, he was righ. "But I should've done more… Instead I watched.." Tom said. The knife, the blood, the way Edds smile was one of a mad man.

"Tom! You were bleeding out under bolders! You couldn't have done anything, in any case you were trying to help the people in that building…" Pat said. The building had caught on fire by unknown reason, and Tom had ran in there to save anyone inside. Then as he got them out, the building collapsed on him, it was surprising he had survived at all.

Tom didn't look at him, but at the map.

"Tom…Your lucky to even be a live right now.." Pat said low to Tom, who didn't look away from the map but slowly just blink.

Tom was silently hoping that Tord was okay and Edd hadn't done anything to him, and hopefully let him go sooner or later, but that was illogical and wishful thinking. He knew that wouldn't happen. The more they waited the more time they wasted, and Tom hasn't had a good nights rest since Tord was captured. He prepares to search for Tord for days on end, and he'll do whatever it takes to find him. He won't stop till he does.

I won't give up Tord
