Marinette hopped off one of the graveyard stones props for their school play. Everyone had headed out already so Tikki flew up to talk to Marinette. "Thank goodness you weren't really captured and locked in a tower," Tikki giggled. "Your the best Ladybug there is." "Aw, thanks, Tikki," Marinette's bluebell eyes sparkled, then she grinned and tickled her Kwami gently. "Your not just saying that because I feed you the best macaroons in town?" "No, but it sure helps."

Marinette begin to walk down the stairs, carefully. She was wearing heels and she didn't want to trip. She looked up for a moment to see Adrien standing in the doorway. "Marinette, would…." But Marinette didn't hear the rest as she lost her balance, tumbling down the rest of the stairs. The world spin then floated…..

Marinette breath came in chilly puffs as the horse and rider galloped through the night-darkened woods. "Let me go! I'm not the girl your looking for!" she glared at the man. "Quiet, girl. Your wearing the earrings of Ladybug and until I can tell if there real or not, I'm taking you to the tower!"

Mud splashed by Adrien's hiding spot as he watched Marinette and the mysterious purple cloaked rider speed by. "Was that her, Plagg? Was that Ladybug?" Plagg, his Kwami, nodded. "It looks like she's still unaware. Time to go be a Prince in shining leather!"

Ladybug, Adrien thought dreamily. He hadn't seen the girl clearly from his vantage point, but he knew she would be sweet and kind. "Plagg, Claws Out!" Mud sucked at The black cat's feet, so urgent was his mission.

"Let go of me! I don't know any Ladybug!" Marinette cried as the man shut the door to her cell. "Quiet, girl. I'll find out soon enough if your Ladybug."

Marinette waited until his footsteps faded away, then brought her knees up to her chest. Where was she, and why had she been taken prisoner? "If this is when I could use a fairy godmother, this would be the time," she sniffed as a tear plopped down on her knee.

"I'm not a fairy godmother, but maybe I'd be able to help," a voice said, causing Marinette to look around. "What kind of bug are you?" Marinette asked, as she spotted the flying Kwami. "I'm not a bug, I'm a Kwami. But you are a bug, Marinette. A superhero, called Ladybug!" "Is that what the man was talking about?" Marinette asked, and Tikki nodded. "There's been a mistake, I'm no hero. I'm just a seamstress, looking for work in the forest."

"You can escape. All you have to do is say, "Spots On." "Spots on?" Immediately, the suit swirled around Marinette glowing with magic. Marinette walked over to the window when it was over. The ground was far, far, below. "Whoa, whoa. Superhero or not, I'm not jumping from here."

Before Ladybug could step away from the window, something black and solid bowled her over. She groaned and opened her eyes. It was a boy, dressed in a black suit with cat ears and a gold bell at his throat. As they stared at each other, Ladybug felt her cheeks grow warm. "I'm here to save you, M'lady, so lets go."

Cat Noir was answered by a bonk on the head from her yo-yo. "I just met you, and now I'm leaping out the window with you?" Before Cat could say anything, he leaped into the rafters, just as Marinette's capturer appeared. Cat breathed a sigh of relief that he had grabbed her before Hawkmoth could see her.

"That dastardly little bug! She's escaped!" The man thundered, twirling his cloak as he thundered down the spiral staircase. "And this is us, making an exit," Cat said, leaping down then through the window. Ladybug shut her eyes, hoping it was true that cats landed on their feet!

"You can open your eyes now," a soft voice said. Ladybug slowly opened them, and then the dream begin to fade.

Marinette groaned as she sat up. "Easy, Princess. You hit your head hard with that tumble," he said, cradling her to his chest. "Cat, you did save me! In my dream, ow." Cat chuckled, picking her up as if she was feather light.

"Let's get you home soon you can rest, and you can tell me all about it," he said. Marinette nodded. What a dream it had been! Though it had only been a dream, it felt real. Monarch meant to capture both her and her Kitty to get the Miraculous.

"Whenever you are, my knight in shining black leather, thank you," she muttered as Cat leaped out into the night. Cat looked down to hear Marinette muttering and smiled.
