so. i'm not much for AU's but i fell irremediably in love with the original prompt by formerprincess:
But rivaling teams AU though:
Like, they don't even play the same sports, but both teams don't take the other really serious and they constantly prank each other and make fun of each other. Theo, captain of the Football team, and Liam, captain of the Lacrosse team, and they both claim they can't stand each other and it would be all so easy if it weren't for the fact that both find their counterpart more than just attractive and maybe one of their screaming matches on the field ends with them furiously making out under the shower after everybody else is gone. And maybe it becomes a regular occurrence from then on; first, they fight and bicker and then they make out. And maybe it's getting harder and harder to pretend they hate each other's guts because there is far more between them than just attraction. Oh, well, nobody has to know, right?
Bonus: Imagine only the coach knowing what's really going on and just rolling his eyes in the background and muttering about "stupid hormonal boys who are too dumb to realize shit" under his breath.
and decided i would indulge myself :))

Their tussles have spiraled out of control.
Liam remembers thinking this incisive thought somewhere between tasting his own blood and the inside of Theo's mouth.
Which...huh, did not see this one coming.
Maybe Coach was right (not that Liam would ever admit that).
He's dizzy. Left feverish in the wake of Theo's appraising hands, trying to find purchase on something, anything to ground him, but his fingers slip on the slick-cool skin of a broad shoulder—oh, right, Theo had just been done with his shower when their umpteenth altercation took flight.
...just how did they go from that to this?
But Theo's predominantly sharp tongue drags now softly up the roof of his mouth, and it is shudderingly exquisite enough that Liam—only very slightly—arches into him for more, and that seems like such a redundant question to answer at the moment.
"What, you can still think." Theo asks, states, demands, magnetic eyes glinting in that mildly evil way that Liam clandestinely likes. "Guess I'll have to up the ante, huh, Dunbar?"
Oh god.
...please.
Liam doesn't know if it's due to that traitorous little plea that tumbles out, but Theo's mouth is swollen hot and back to covering his own, just fierce enough to squeeze his already lacking sanity and that last sensible thought out of his brain.
...yeah, their tussles have spiraled out of control.
