I've made some small changes to Irida's outfit, specifically, she no longer has clown shoes and now has heels. Also age 13 atm.
Irida went back to what was to be her home for the foreseeable future. She paced around, considering what had happened to her during the past 12 hours. She probably should have been a lot more panicked and fearful, but this serene calm was not unwelcome. She sighed, opting to explore her new home rather than worry about what would happen tomorrow. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
She walked over to her wardrobe, going to see if there was anything more comfortable than this peacock-tailed dress, which looked and felt ridiculous. When she opened it, she was very disappointed, at least a dozen copies of the exact same dress, peacock tail and all hung from the top of the wardrobe.
She took it back, this was way worse. How was she supposed to survive the frigid wasteland in this, although, now that she thought of it, it didn't feel that bad when Irida was last outside, She mused
She thought it would be best to get some sleep, it was getting pretty late.
As Irida slept, blissfully unaware of the bitter cold, the bracelets on her arms were glowing all night...
Irida woke in her unfamiliar bed, feeling much better than yesterday. She got dressed, slipped on her shoes, and walked outside before pausing.
Where was she going again? Luckily for her, she didn't have to know. "Lady Irida, are you ready for training?" Said an excited voice "You better be, I'm Gaeric, and I will be your teacher for the next 6 months!"
Irida looked over and saw a man with blue hair and even a pearl clan crest seemingly carved on his bare chest with ice or maybe war paint, war paint was more likely. "Are you ok not wearing a shirt in this kind of cold?" Was the first thing she could think of, however.
In response, rather than look offended or worried like she thought he might be, he laughed a big and hearty laugh, before speaking jovially "Ahaha, you must be joking Lady Irida, don't take me for one of those diamond clan pansies." Right, Irida nodded, don't mention the cold, it really wasn't bad anyways, it looked way worse than it was.
So we started walking, Irida didn't know where to, but Gaeric seemed to know what he was doing. "So what am I actually training anyways?" Irida asks, a small bit of uncertainty decorating her face. "You'll be learning how to survive in the wild of course, after all, a leader must lead by example. Learning to survive in the vast land of Hisui is just part of that, but it is also one of the most important. Don't want to end up getting hacked to pieces by a Gabite after all." Irida's face bleached, what kind of death world had she been dropped into when what was presumably a wild animal could hack you to pieces?
Seeing her terror, Gaeric smiled and turned around "Don't worry about the pokemon yet, my partner is here so we are safe, you just can't see her. Froslass, show yourself for a second." Seemingly materializing out of the snow, a at first glance somewhat humanoid figure appeared. Although on second glance it appeared more like a living cloak, snow white with frozen crystals peeking out of the tops. It also had yellow, mischievous eyes. Irida fought down the urge to scream as the ghostly cloak appeared directly in front of her face. She fell backward into the snow, but her hand was caught by Gaeric. "Froslass, don't startle her, she's never seen a froslass before, maybe I should have introduced your brother first."
He helped Irida back onto her feet, although she still stayed wary of the frozen terror, grimacing as she swore its eyes were following her. She shivered, although not because of the cold, something about it was just unnerving. "Ok, I'm calm, just startled, that's all." Squeaked out Irida, still intimidated by Froslass's presence.
Gaeric seemed to understand her fear "If she really scares you that much I can have her turn invisible again."
"That would be great, thanks" She responded, still shaky. At that, Froslass vanished, and the fear in the air seemed to subside, mostly. "If I may ask, what's her brother, is it another Froslass or something else?" Irida asks, curious about Gaeric's other partner pokemon.
"Oh you mean Glalie, he's waiting where we're going, I didn't bring him because he looks a lot angrier than Froslass and I didn't want to make a bad impression." He responded, "Although I sure did a great job with Froslass. Should have remembered that people are naturally scared of ghosts" He mumbled
He could say that again, she didn't care if it was a ghost or what, all she knew was it terrified her.
"Are all pokemon this scary?" Irida asked, hesitantly, almost afraid to know the answer. He thought over the question for a second "Depends on who you ask, a lot of them don't look scary, Froslass' prevolution just looks like a cone hat." Irida laughed at that, imagining a traffic cone waddling around. "But a lot of them can still badly hurt you if you provoke them."
Irida was satisfied with this answer. They continued walking for a while, with the only thing heard is the sound of whooshing wind and falling snow. "Do you know where you're going in this snow, I can't see anything?"
"I don't see anything either, but Froslass does and she's guiding me." The thought made her nervous, but luckily or unluckily it was quickly put out of her mind by the snowstorm intensifying. "Ok, this weather is a bit too much!" Gaeric had to yell to be heard "Get into that cave over there!" He ran, and Irida quickly ran to follow him into the cave.
"Ok, I think we're safe". Panting Gaeric, "I guess take this as a lesson, don't get caught out in a blizzard, now, I'll show you how to make a fire, Froslass, try to find out where we are." Froslass materialized, nodded, and then vanished.
Irida watched with interest as Gaeric began describing how to make a fire "Now you don't want to put it too far into the cave, or the smoke will suffocate you, but if you put it outside, then the snow will put it out. So you put it at the mouth of the cave, so we get the best of both worlds. Now, in order to light it, you need to take a piece of metal, like this" He pulls out a little dagger from, seemingly nowhere, and Irida decides not to question it. "And you need a piece of flint, like that over there." He points to a couple of black shards. "You should also carry a few for emergencies, but considering it's your first time going out of the village, you get a pass this time."
"Then you just strike the metal to the flint until it ignites, now normally you'd use firewood to keep it going but luckily for us, I have something better than a fire." He pulls out an orange and red crystal about the size of her hand, with patterns of flame engraved upon it. "A fire stone!" He raises it into the air and yells to the wind. "Uhh, anyway, this is a crystal of elemental fire, it emits heat equal to campfire, but is much easier to use." He places it on the ground, before striking the flint with the dagger, causing sparks to fly, one of the sparks narrowly misses Irida as she yelps, but it also contacts the fire stone, causing it to glow with heat and begin radiating it outwards, allowing them to warm themselves. "
This will last about an hour or two before we have to heat it up again."
After about 5 minutes of sitting by the fire, stone Froslass appeared at the entrance, but it wasn't alone, it was holding a small little bundle of fur. Irida heard a weak cry of "Vee"
