It was the first letter Shoma had received from Mame since the arrest. Honestly, Shoma didn't expect to hear from Mame so soon. Mame was always so busy with work and school, sometimes the siblings would go for a while without talking at all. But here was this letter, only a week after her arrest. Come to think of it, other than school and robotics related postage, Shoma didn't really get mail all that much. She picked up the envelope and examined it closely.

Ms. Enda Shoma —

Was this the first time she had received a letter that addressed her as a woman? Shoma didn't even remember talking to Mame about it… It had been so long. As she unfolded the letter and traced each stroke with her index finger, Shoma was overcome with nostalgia. Her hand was the same size that it was six years ago. Six years ago, when Mame was going through all that alone… She gripped the paper tightly. Not anymore.

As long as her sister could hold a pen, Amame would never be alone again.
