Hey everyone, so a quick author's note as to what has happened to me after my last post. Life has been a bit chaotic for me, moved into a new apartment, been working extra hours at work, and been playing a bunch of Overwatch 2. Very sorry for the delay in uploads but I hope this will suffice until the next chapter to my Overwatch Retelling story.
But as for this I wanted to go back to one of my old stories I wrote almost five years ago, my old Zaryahog story "First time for everything." Now I'll admit, looking back at it I was pretty bad at writing and now kinda laugh at it, but I did enjoy writing that story and because I love the world of Overwatch and its characters I figured I can do a series of oneshots. Now this won't take up a majority of my time and will most likely be uploaded alongside my main story, but these oneshots will allow me to write up my own personal tales for the cast and be able to help me get back into the groove of writing. So with that said, thank you for your patience, I hope you enjoy this tale and I wanna wish everyone a late happy halloween.
I do not own any characters or locations within this story, only original characters. Overwatch is owned by Blizzard Entertainment.

Tales of Overwatch: Junkenstein's Revenge
-000-
Location: Watchpoint Gibraltar, British Territory of Gibraltar
Date: Present Day, Halloween
-000-
The Overwatch crew were all settled inside the living space of the base, watching what appears to be a scary movie. Tracer, Mei and Lucio were at the edge of their seats, Mercy, Genji, and Brigitte didn't seem perturbed by the cheesy horror film, and Monterey shivered under a blanket watching the film.
The film was a rather ancient slasher movie, with a killer in a burlap sack mask slaughtering teenagers with a machete. One of the teenagers, a handsome young man in a wheel chair ventured out, searching for his crush, looked about the forest, only for him to be greeted with a machete to his face. The sudden jumpscare and loud music startled Monterey, getting a shriek from the man and a hardy laugh from Lucio and Tracer.
"W-w-why did we have to put on something like this? You guys know these types movies scare me." Monterey asked in a whimper.
"Dude, it's Halloween." Lucio answered plainly. "It's the time of year for a good scare."
"Yeah love, where's your Halloween spirit?" Tracer asked blinking behind Monterey to playfully spook him. Monterey jumps in terror, landing in Brigitte's arms.
Brigitte chuckles, dropping Monterey onto the couch. "Come on you two, give Monty a break." She states chastising Lucio and Tracer. "Some of us aren't as...enthusiastic for the holiday."
"Compared to what I've seen over the years, this film is not that scary." Mercy stated with a yawn.
"Agreed." Genji chimed. "It's nothing but practical effects and fake gore." He adds, pausing the movie.
Reinhardt enters the room, his booming laughter echoing through the room. He looks over to the group with a smirk. "If you think this film is truly scary, then I have a tale for all of you." He says ominously.
"Reinhardt, not another one of your old ghost stories." Brigitte sighs. "You tell the same one every year and every year it never scares anyone." She adds getting a chuckle from Reinhardt.
"Oh but this is a different story, Brigitte." Reinhardt assures. "It is no fairy tale or mass produced film, this is a real story." He adds getting wide eyed smiles from Lucio and Tracer, and terrified looks from Monterey and Mei.
"Y-y-you mean, this all happened?" Mei asked shaking in her place getting a nod from Reinhardt.
"This story is not for the faint of heart. Anyone who is easily frightened should leave now." Reinhardt said, quickly catching Monterey trying to sneak away making the younger man freeze in place. He smirks before looking to Lucio. "Dim the lights." He commands.
-000-
The crew gathered around a large circular table, adorned with candles to illuminate the darkened room. Reinhardt sat at the head of the table, followed by Lucio, Mercy, Brigitte, Monterey, Genji, Mei, and finally Tracer. Reinhardt looks around the room, getting comfortable in his chair before looking over to the others. "Now my friends, this tale is one of terror, heroism, and survival. Is everyone comfortable?" He asks.
"Yeah let's get this started." Lucio cheers.
Reinhardt nods, a smirk on his face before taking a deep breath. "Our tale begins in Adlersbrunn, where the lord of the castle has called for heroes to come to his aid and defend him against the mad Dr. Junkenstein."

Location: Adlersbrunn
Date: Unknown
-000-
Fog shrouded the ancient town of Adlersbrunn, located in the heart of the black forest. The town is a spitting image of medival civilization, cobblestone paved roads and houses built on foundations of wood and stone. Towering over the town stands a mighty castle, home of its grand lord.
The throne room was a large room with sets of armor scattered about the room. Sitting in the throne is a large, hulking figure with ashen hair and matching beard. He was accompanied by his two trusty knights, a young woman with auburn hair in a suit of armor, who carried a mace on her side and shield on her back. And a young man with matching colored hair and armor, but he held a spear in one hand and a tower shield in the other. The throne room doors flew open as a young man quickly skated into the room, his attire was rather extravagant and his hair was put in dreadlocks. The woman stood her ground and pointed her mace to the young man.
"Halt bard!" She ordered, as her partner pointed his spear towards the man. "What is the meaning of this sudden intrusion!?" She barked.
"N-no one is allowed an audience with his majesty unless invited personally by him." The man stuttered.
"Please my lord, the heroes you sent have all been defeated by the mad doctor's forces. The countess, renegade, outlaw, monk, and swordsman have all been slain my liege." The bard cried. "I speak to you the truth, all of your mightiest warriors have fallen, and Junkenstein's forces approach Adlersbrunn as we speak."
The lord sat, listening to the bard as he spoke. With a nod he raised his hand. "Both of you, ease your arms." He commanded getting the two knights to yield. "If what you say is true, then we must stand our ground and fend off Junkenstein's forces." The lord stated before looking to his knights. "Inform the citizens to barricade their doors, and locate anyone who is capable of fighting."
"Yessir!" The two knights salute at attention before taking off to town with the bard following closely behind.
-000-
The fog continued to pester the village, the sound of clanking metal echoed as the knights wandered the town square. The shieldmaiden looked around the area just as the bard and the sentinel arrived.
"The citizens are secured inside of their homes." The Bard stated as The Sentinel was catching his breath.
"And...the other knights...have been posted and armed at their stations." The Sentinel wheezed.
"Good, the only place we haven't checked is the local pub." The Shieldmaiden stated making her way over with the other two following close behind.
"Excellent observation, my fair Shieldmaiden. The pub has been known to collect a fair amount of far traveling adventurers. Perhaps we might find at least a few here." The Bard chirped as the trio entered the pub. As the trio entered the bar, they noticed the bar is lacking in patrons except for four individuals.
The first was a bearded man, who's appearance mimicked that of classic cowboys and desperados. He was slumped in a chair, a flagon in his hand with leftover ale pouring onto the wooden floor. He awoke suddenly, noticing the pouring liquid before drinking the last of the ale letting the flagon drop to the ground.
Second in the corner was a man of asian heritage. At his side was a bow and a quiver of arrow. In his hand is a small glass of some clear liquid, swirling in his hand. He looked over to the newcomers with a side eyed glance.
Third at the bar was an older man with a cover over his mouth and what looked to be an assault rifle at his side. He takes a drink from a bottle of some alcoholic beverage. He grunts as he looks over to the knights and the bard.
Finally at the other end of the pub was an older woman who wore an eyepatch. She looked to a vial of some sort of yellow liquid, pouring it into a syringe and loading it into a sniper rifle. She put her rifle down before looking to the knights and nods to them. "Good evening." She greets them.
"G-good evening ma'am. We're here on the order of the lord himself in search for any brave heroes to help fight a terrible evil." The sentinel explained. "Junkenstein is on his way to attack the village and he's bringing an army with him."
"And you expect us to bend the knee and just follow your lord's orders?" The man in the mask questioned. "Where I'm from I was a commanding officer of a platoon of highly trained soldiers."
"We don't expect you to bend the knee, we're not here to force you. But we could use your help." The shieldmaiden stated.
"So what exactly is in it fer us?" The gunslinger asked, wiping the drool from his face.
"That will be explained by our lord." The shieldmaiden explained getting a nod from the archer.
"Then take us to your lord, let us see what troubles this land." The archer stated.
With a nod the knights, bard, gunslinger, alchemist, soldier and archer begin to make their way back to the castle.
-000-
The doors closed behind the group as they arrived back at the castle throne room. The lord of the castle smiled as the heroes arrived, giving each a nod. "Welcome to my castle my friends. I thank you for your assistance in the matter." He says approaching each of them. " has been seen with foes not from this world, I can only offer a large amount of gold for your assistance." He states getting a smirk from the gunslinger.
"That works fer me, yer highness." The gunslinger stated with a bow. "Just tell me where to point my peacekeeper and consider the job done."
"Gold is meaningless to me, I care only to bring peace back to these lands." The archer added.
"The safety of this village and it's people is it's own reward my lord." The alchemist stated getting a smile from the lord.
"On that I agree with my lady." The lord tells her, taking her hand and placing a kiss on it, getting a chuckle from the alchemist. "And what of you, my friend?" He asks looking to the soldier.
The soldier looked over to the lord, shaking his head and grunting. "I'll help out here, but I don't take orders from you." He said getting a glare from the knights.
"Show some respect! Our lord is offering you a king's fortune and you talk back to him!?" The usually quiet sentinel barked getting a jump from the bard and the shieldmaiden. The lord looked back to him making the sentinel settle down. "Forgive me, my lord."
"At ease my friend. Now as for the rest of you, you will defend the castle gates, make sure that the gates do not fall. Junkenstein's force must not prevail." The lord states. "You three will assist them with cover fire, grab any weapons you can find and prepare for battle." He adds getting a salute from everyone.
-000-
Outside the castle gate, the four heroes stood guard as the fog continued to roll over the town of Adlersbrunn. The archer meditated, anticipating the upcoming battle as the gunslinger loaded his revolver.
"You think this lord's good for the money? Castle looks like it's seen better days." The gunslinger asked, sealing the chamber of his gun.
"If he breaks his word, he has made some powerful enemies." The archer stated, his meditation unbroken.
The alchemist shook her head before looking to the soldier. "Why fight for this lord?" She asks. "You have never cared much for the nobility, old friend." She adds, getting a grunt from the soldier.
"It is true, but today we share a common foe, Dr. Junkenstein." He states with a slight growl in his voice.
The alchemist nods, looking to her other two comrades before a sudden cackle is heard within the darkness.
The silhouette of a man can be seen through the fog. The man appeared to be hunchbacked with wild hair, his body movement was erratic and he walked around with a pegleg. The man laughed loudly before he pointed to the heroes.
"Oi, this is between me and the lord of this castle. Unless you want to join him, I suggest you bugger off!" The man warned.
"You must be Dr. Junkenstein. You're not wanted here, I suggest you take your sorry hide out of these parts before I make you six bullets heavier." The gunslinger warned holding his gun at the ready.
Dr. Junkenstein growled, hearing the disrespect from this foreigner. He stomped his foot in anger as the ground shook slightly. "Fine then, you want to die on this hill, be my guest. Arise my zomnics! Tear this castle down, brick by brick!" He roared.
The ground began to break as a metal hand reached out, clawing at the earth as a metal body began to rise from the ground. A robotic corpse climbed out of the ground, floating over the broken earth. Dr. Junkenstein laughed as his minions arose, for tonight was the night of Junkenstein's Revenge.
-000-
The lord looked out to the night sky as the fighting began. He felt a tingle down his spine as he noticed a black mist move throughout the foggy night.
"What have you alligned with, Junkenstein?" He asks, his eyes going wide.
-000-
Bullets flew, metal bodies hit the ground and more zomnics continued to rise from the earth. The soldier ran up a set of stairs connected to the ramparts, firing his assault rifle and taking down more zomnics. The gunslinger shot at a bullet at a zomic approaching the archer, making the robot explode behind him.
"Thinkin' about gettin' a faster weapon?" The gunslinger asks with a smug grin. The archer fires an arrow back at the gunslinger, passing by his face and destroying a zomnic approaching the distracted gunslinger.
"I shall consider your suggestion." The archer said before going behind a wall for cover. The gunslinger smirked, shooting another zomnic before diving behind a wall.
The alchemist fired her rifle, taking down another zomnic climbing the rampart. As the zomnic died, another larger zomnic rised glowing a brlliant blue against the dark sky. A blue light began to glow on its arm, the alchemist realizing what this is ducks to the ground as the zombadier fired its shot.
"Watch out for the big ones, they can attack at range!" She called out to the others before firing another shot at the zombadier.
The archer, steadying his shot unleashed an aura of blue energy into his bow and rapidly fired a set of arrows into the zombadier. With two shots to the body, and two to the head the zombadier was destroyed.
As the battle continued, more zomnics were killed and the entrance to the castle began to take on the appearance of a scrapyard. The heroes unfortunately were too preoccupied with the zomnics as a large wheel rolled pass them, heading straight for the castle doors. The Doctor's Shock-Tire exploded against the door, but for now, the oak held strong.
"Watch the gate! We can't let the door take more damage!" The soldier stated shooting at another set of zomnics climbed up the rampart.
As the four continued the assault, a black cloud of smoke moved around them all, making its way to the end of the rampart. A dark presence coalesced in the mist as the smoke began to take shape. It took the shape of a man, but its head took the appearance of a jack o' lantern. His wicked face glowed with an ethereal light as he pulled a pair of shotguns out from his coat.
"The reaper has come for your souls!" The specter growled before teleporting away, quickly reappearing in front of the archer and taking a couple shots to the man. The archer fell back taking a direct hit as the reaper stepped forward, taking aim at the downed archer. Before the specter can fire his weapon, the gunslinger threw a flash bomb in the direction of the ghostly figure blinding the creature as the alchemist threw a vial to the archer, blowing up near the man and sealing his wounds.
"Archer, move!" The alchemist called getting the man to his feet as the duo moved away from the specter.
"You will not escape." The reaper said, regaining his composure as he turned into a cloud of smoke, chasing the duo across the bridge.
The gunslinger positioned himself behind a wall, taking a deep breath he readies his hand at his side. "Step right up." He said walking out calmly putting his sights of the smoke.
The archer made his way to the rampart joining the soldier as the alchemist hid behind a barrel. Soon the the smoke formed back into the form of the reaper before he became a hurricane of smoke and bullets firing around. Taking cover, the soldier took the opportunity and fired at the reaper, hitting his mark, but taking a couple shots in the process. As the storm of bullets ended, the reaper took one last look seeing the gunslinger aiming right at him. The gunslinger's shot found its mark, and the reaper was destroyed, returning the foul creature back to the shadows. For a brief moment the four heroes had the time to patch up their wounds and ready for the next possible assault.
"Everyone alright?" The gunslinger asked, loading his gun once more.
"For now, but who knows how much more this mad man has up his sleeve." The soldier added as the alchemist was patching the man's wounds.
"If all of Junkenstein's allies are as dangerous as that...specter, than we must not allow them to overwhelm us." The alchemist states before looking to the archer. "What is it?"
"I sense something wicked approaching. Something...large." The archer said readying his bow. "Ready yourselves."
A large squadron of zomnics began to rise from the ground, walking to the castle gate, resulting in the heroes continuing the fight against the mechanical undead.
"Get ready for a shock!" Junkenstein's voice called as another tire came from the ramparts, rolling into the direction of the gate.
"It's coming from the ramparts!" The soldier called, shooting at the tire, but unfortunately missing his shots.
The tire rolled by the zomnics, rushing past the heroes and making it closer to the door. But before the tire can explode, an arrow from the archer's bow pierced the tire destroying it in the process. "The tire is destroyed!" The archer called out before shooting another flurry of arrows into a group of zomnics.
"How many of these things are there!?" The gunslinger asked, shooting another zomnic in the head.
"More than enough for us." The alchemist answered, gritting her teeth before shooting another zomnic.
As the battle raged on, the four heroes felt the ground shake beneath them as a massive figure made its way towards them. The figure was a massive creature that resembled a man with the head of a pig. His skin was binded by stitches and a pair of electric rods stuck out of his back. The doctor's creation had been twisted into a monster bent on destroying everything in its path.
"I'm alive!" It roared before charging towards the heroes, barrelling through a group of zomnics like an unstoppable force.
"What the hell is that!?" The gunslinger asked firing at the rampaging monster.
"Something not of this world!" The archer called shooting a barrage of arrows, piercing the grotesque creature's fat belly.
The creature reels back in pain, grunting the creature reaches back and throws a large rusty hook at the heroes, catching the poor soldier off guard.
"Son of a!" The soldier cried before being pulled into the grasp of the beast's mighty grip. The monster laughed a guttural guffaw, readying a large gun to fire at the soldier. The soldier braced for the blast, shutting his eyes and awaiting his inevitable demise.
But suddenly the monster's grip loosened and the soldier slipped out of the monster's paw, the soldier witnessed as the creature fell back with a dart sticking out of its chest, the alchemist had fired a sleep dart into the creature, putting the beast into a slumber.
"Everyone to the door!" The alchemist called as another shock-tire appeared from the shadows and went for the door. The heroes rushed to stop the tire, but they weren't fast enough and the tire blew up on the door, blasting the heroes back. "Damn, the door will not hold much longer."
"Then we must not give them the chance." The archer said before aiming his bow at the snoozing monster. "Ryƫ ga waga teki wo kurau!" The archer roared before firing an arrow.
The monster awoke, but before its eyes a pair of blue phantasmal dragons appeared flying towards the doctor's creation. The monster tried to mitigate the damage using a sort of healing pod, but the alchemist threw another vial, knocking the pod out of the monster's hand. And ultimately the monster was enveloped in the dragon's jaws, destroying the abomination's body and leaving nothing but scorched earth and smoke where the monster once stood.
"The monster is dead, and we are safe...for now..." The archer whispered.
"Every heal up!" The soldier ordered putting down a device, emitting a yellow aura around himself and the rest of the group.
As the team have their bodies healed by the device they hear a cackle from the darkness as Dr. Junkenstein's voice rang through the smoke.
"Looks like you destroyed the reaper!" He called before his voice forms into a low growl. "And you destroyed my greatest creation!" He roared. "Well now...you'll face my wrath. You will all regret the day you laughed at Dr. Jamison Junkenstein!" The doctor roared as he appeared at one of the towers.
Just as Junkenstein appeared, a large blue wall appeared in front of the heroes, splitting the fog apart as another figured walked out of the shadows from the rampart. The figure appeared to be a woman with the physical appearance of some sort of draconic creature. The air became charged with the arcane, as the summoner appeared in their midst. The summoner smirked before firing an orb of blue energy at the group, hitting the archer in the shoulder. "The dragon's fire consumes all!" She called before Junkenstein began to lob bombs at the heroes.
"Everyone find some cover!" The soldier ordered making the heroes split up to gain cover, the soldier and the gunslinger dove behind a wall, while the alchemist and the archer hid behind a large pile of scrap metal.
"They're beginning to change their tactics!" The alchemist called as she quickly patched up the archer's wound.
"At least the good doctor finally showed himself!" The gunslinger called before taking a shot at the summoner, only for the bullet to bounce off the wall the draconic woman had cast. "Damn, we need a little more fire power to bust down that wall!"
The alchemist looked to the wall before looking to the soldier, the soldier gave the old woman a nod silently communicating to one another. With a quick hand gesture the alchemist fired a dart into the soldier. "You're powered up, get in there!" She called watching the soldier glow with a bright blue aura.
"I've got you in my sights!" The soldier roared as he pressed a button on his visor and began firing at the massive wall.
The summoner laughed at the soldier, watching this attempt from the old war veteran. "Do you truly believe that you can easily destroy my barrier!?"
The soldier kept firing his rifle until a crack began to form on the wall, and just as quickly the wall shattered getting a worried look from the summoner and the doctor. The bullets passed the broken barrier and pelted the summoner, piercing her draconic hide and forcing her to give up her position.
Doctor Junkenstein continued firing bombs at the heroes, shaking the area and covering the ground with ash and smoke. The gunslinger and archer in retaliation fired at the doctor, but Junkenstein dodged the attack ducking under the attacks before he felt a shot to his chest.
"I feel..." Junkenstein whispered before slumping onto the wooden balcony, snoozing as the battle raged below him.
The summoner fired another orb at the soldier, trying to stop the soldier's assault to no avail. The soldier continued to press the advantage firing wherever the summoner would go, and leaving her no chance of escape. The summoner fired another shot, but as she did the soldier fired a missle at the summoner, blasting through her orb and into the summoner. With a loud shriek of pain the summoner was destroyed, her body was set ablaze and she was quickly rendered to nothing but ash.
"The summoner's been destroyed, now just Junkenstein remains." The soldier muttered, aiming his rifle at the doctor's sleeping body.
"Do not hesitate! Attack with all of your might my friends!" The archer calls as he, the alchemist and the gunslinger aimed their weapons at the now stirring doctor. And with one silent moment, the four heroes fired their weapons at the sleeping doctor, putting the mad scientist into a permenant slumber.
A moment of silence surrounded the heroes as the fog began to dissipate, clearing the area and leaving the heroes with the feeling of ease.
-000-
The lord of the castle watched over the heroes as the shieldmaiden, the sentinel and the bard ran into the throne room. Their faces full of glee with the sight of Dr. Junkenstein's corpse and his laughter quietly fading into the night.
"My lord, the mad doctor has fallen." The shieldmaiden cheered.
"Adlersbrunn is free from his tyranny!" The sentinel called in delight.
The lord looked over to the two knights before looking back out, noticing a bright yellow glow from the dark. His eyes go wide in horror, the realization kicking in of the final battle to come.
"BOTH OF YOU, GET DOWN THERE NOW!" He roared making the two knights jump in fear and run out of the room.
-000-
"With the good doctor dead, I think it's high time we collect our pay." The gunslinger chirped before he and the other heroes were blinded by a golden light cascading through the darkness. From the light a young looking woman appeared from the light, donning a witches outfit. She smirks looking at the four heroes, a glint of wickedness in her eye.
"You all have fought valiantly, however your luck has run out, and those who oppose the witch of the wilds will fall to my power." She says with a wicked grin before she raises her hand and does a gesture as if forcing something to rise with sheer willpower. "My servants never die!" She chants, her voice echoing throughout the dark.
The heroes stand back to back with one another as many zomnics begin to rise back up, some putting themselves back together. A large cloud of smoke begins to take shape, and soon the shadows took shape, and coalesced into the form of the reaper. The earth gave way as a large green hand rose from the ground, and the horrid form of the monster had returned from the dead. Fire and ash gave way to reveal the form of the summoner, not as dead as the wanderers had hoped. And finally the sinister laughter of Dr. Junkenstein was heard once more as the mad doctor rose back up from the dead. With one magic incantation, the witch had returned the fallen from beyond the grave.
As the night stretched on and the doors still held, Dr. Junkenstein and his allies began their final assault to break the wanderers that defied them. The soldier sighed, seeing the end of their fight ahead. "This is our last stand, even if we don't make it out of this no one gets past this door!" He commanded before firing rounds into the zomnics.
"Then let's get this over with!" The gunslinger added before throwing a flash grenade at Junkenstein's monster, blinding the monsterous foe before unloading a full chamber of bullets into the monster.
The archer nodded before firing arrows in the direction of the witch, hitting the woman in the shoulder before rushing her while the alchemist continued to keep the other wanderers in the fight.
"Attack my minions, burn this castle to the ground!" The witch roared as the reaper began to fire his guns at the archer, hitting the man in the arm before getting an arrow to his side.
The summoner fired an orb at the soldier before rushing the older man. The soldier ducked under the attack before feeling a burning feeling in his chest as the summoner was burning the man with her photon projector.
The monster grabbed the gunslinger and slammed the man to the ground, cracking the ground upon impact. And Junkenstein himself continued to lob bombs at his enemies, blasting the alchemist around and leaving her nowhere to run or hide.
The summoner gave the soldier a wicked smirk before aiming her gun at the wounded man, readying one final photon orb. "You will feel the dragon's fiery rage." She growled as the soldier braced for the end.
Suddenly the summoner felt a heavy metal object slam into her face, knocking her back up the steps of the rampart. The shieldmaiden stepped forward as she called back her flail and helped the soldier back up. "Find some cover and patch yourself up." She orders getting a nod from the soldier before doing exactly as she says.
The gunslinger gasped for air as the monster began to choke the man out, his massive hand tightening around the man's neck. Before the beast can finish the job, he feels a blow to his belly knocking the best to the ground as the sentinel had delivered a mighty punch to the monster. He catches the gunslinger and lays him down, keeping his shield up to protect himself and the gunslinger. "We're here to help, you'll be safe if you stay behind us." The sentinel states watching the monster rise back up.
"Good to see y'all lend a hand." The gunslinger jokes, coughing a bit while he slowly gets up. "Now let's put these jokers back in their graves where they belong."
The archer took another shot, missing the reaper as the shade merely moved his head. As he was about to finish the archer off, he looked up and quickly turned into a mist avoiding the bard's musical blast aimed at him.
"Leave this man alone you cursed fiend!" The bard called as he played a song, slowly healing the archer's wounds.
"Thank you." The archer said before firing a shot at the reaper as he began to solidify. "We are outnumbered, I hope you have an answer for our enemy's soldiers." He adds before shooting down more zomnics.
"I do have something in mind, but we'll all have to work together if we wish to finish this battle!" The bard said before leaping into the air and shooting the reaper.
"Then let's finish this!" The soldier called, touching his visor to lock onto his enemies and began to destroy the hordes of zomnics.
"Let the dragon consume you!" The archer called firing an arrow at the summoner that summoned another pair of dragons. The summoner tried to dodge the attack but the shieldmaiden was much faster and hit the dragon woman with her shield. This caused the summoner to be enveloped by the phantom dragons. The summoner cried in agony before she along with the dragons were lost to the darkness.
The soldier, following the archer's move focused his attack on the reaper, blasting the spirit with little hesitation. The reaper, though powerful was not strong enough to endure the onslaught and soon the reaper fell. The enchanted pumpkin where his head ought have been, smashed against the flagstones.
The gunslinger readied his attack, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The bard quickly rushed to the alchemist, give her a speed boost to get her behind the sentinel's shield. With a quick shot she gave the gunslinger a power boost. With a smirk the gunslinger rolled out into the open and fired his weapon, destroying the monster's heart and felling the abomination.
The witch went wide eyed as her allies have fallen and her forces dwindled. With a quick motion the witch flew to Junkenstein, trying to escape the massacre that has occured. The alchemist seeing the witch attempting to flee, fires her weapon at the witch and directly hits the woman in the back. "N-no..." She whispered reaching out to Junkenstein. "I...can...not...die..." With a final breath, the witch was turned to stone and fell to the earth, shattering to pieces upon impact.
Junkenstein felt a sharp pain in his heart, slumping to his knees as he saw everything he fought for destroyed. He laughed before looking to the heroes below him, a wicked grin on his face. "You may have won this battle...but I'll always live on...my vengence will never die!" With one last laugh, Dr. Junkenstein fell from the balcony to the flagstones below, and as the last of his laughter echoed from the walls of the castle. The first signs of the dawn crept over the horizon, and the castle was safe.

"The wanderers were handsomely rewarded, and they were praised as heroes to the people of Adlersbrunn. And that is the tale of Junkenstein's revenge." Reinhardt concluded getting cheers and applause from his comrades.
"That was a pretty good story Reinhardt, but I don't know if I'd call it scary." Lucio said with a chuckle.
"It may not have been scary, but I thought it was a fun story." Brigitte added getting a nod from Monterey and Mercy.
"Oh come on, it's Halloween we should be getting scared." Tracer retorted, suddenly there was a moan coming from the dark, getting everyone's attention. "Very funny Reinhardt, you can stop the trick." Tracer laughed.
"That isn't me Lena." The old German said getting a scared look from everyone.
Suddenly a figure burst out as a humanoid figure with a pumpkin head burst out of the darkness and screamed. This sudden jumpscare caused Lucio and Tracer to jump out of their skin and flee the room in terror. Winston walked out behind the pumpkin headed figure and chuckled. "What do you all think, pretty scary huh?" He asked.
The crew looked over to a now shivering Lucio and Tracer hiding behind the couch. "You definately showed them your Halloween spirit Winston." Monterey joked getting a laugh from everyone except Lucio and Tracer. As the night went on, the crew enjoyed the night with scary movies, candy and celebration, having the first Halloween as the newly formed team of Overwatch.

So it's a bit late, but I hope you all enjoyed this Halloween tale. As mentioned above this will be going on alongside the main Overwatch story. I didn't have intentions on connecting these little oneshots, but if you want an estimated timespan this would most likely take place after Zero Hour and after the battle of Rio. But with that said I'll try to finish up the next Overwatch chapter before the end of the year and maybe get another oneshot out for you all. With that said I want to thank you all for coming to the end of this...rather lengthy oneshot. Love you all, stay safe, and have a late happy halloween.
