See the lights. They were dim yellow strobes shining through the darkness and upon the cobblestone road, dirt and pebbles crunched whilst it drew closer. Those clanking rumbles and lingering soot and the hissing breathes. Diesel.
Moka couldnt withset coughing a few times. The yellow bus came to a stop before her and she was good when she boarded. She smiled shyly and took a seat directly behind the driver, who promptly drove onward thereafter. Emptiness. Look around. Nothing but the shadowy woods passing by and herself aboard.
But the bus made another stop. Then another thereafter. And another. Soon the bus filled up within the hour with all walks of life after many stops. No one bothered sitting beside her however. Twas neither good or bad even if the seat behind her was also empty. But the bus made one last stop, allowing a tall skinny figure to board, his black clothes cloaking his gestalt besides his glowing dark lavender irises and snow white skin. He took the seat across from her and said nothing.
The driver didnt depart henceforth however. The pink haired vampirette could have sworn she steadily felt the warmth drop by tenfold, but she had no opening to ask, not when the bus abruptly spurred ahead, a green portal swirling into view ahead wherein the bus entered. Her whole gestalt was smooshed into the seat, a fate everyone shared but the driver whom whatever wicked madness he was doing up front could betell driving. Moments later, the bus came to a ruthless stop. The steel splitting between her and the driver smooshed loudly thanks to her hands pushing against it. To her relief, he was unharmed, but she could have sworn she saw his twisted smirk melting in her right peripherals when he peered over to her. She looked up with a sheepishly gaze before her eyes peered at the floor, shame awash upon her upon realising most of the faregoers were staring at her. Hmm, the dark hellfiend driver hummed curtly before wavering everyone else to depart. No one wasted time hastily departing henceforth, frightened out of their wits by the madman called the bus driver, who, in turn, shook his head and left the shaken pinkette to slump in her seat.
Hey, a flanging voice chirped lowly beside her. She squeaked and turned to find the lavender eyed boy towering over her, his two hundred fifteen centimetre height almost casting a shadow upon her wherein easily dwarfing her hundred sixty five centimetre gestalt. His brow was loose and soft notwithstanding his dark thereness. But then he glanced away when a faint blush formed. The vampirette sat there however glancing at the floor unto she picked herself up. But she froze, swivelling around henceforth for her book bag, realising it was nowhere near her. Then she looked at the boy who had his arms stretched out with the book bag dangling by its straps.
Thank you, she mousily stammered and got her bag.
Endie, he whispered.
Hmm?
Endie.
Oh, um, my name is Moka, she smiled and bowed lightly. Endie, eh?
He curtly nodded whilst looking away from her. Not much of a talker, arent you? She asked as they departed from the bus. He shook his head, a faint smile forming nonetheless. She smiled back however whilst they walked through the front doorway amid the other youths. Boy and girls alike gathered or mingled to and fro as far as the eye could see down the halls. Tis true then, she muttered whilst she and Endie trudged along. There are no uniforms here.
Hai, Endie nodded and said.
I, uh, I wasnt expecting that.
The towering boy in black chuckled quietly, earning him an innocent glance from her. Have you EVER worn a uniform to school? She asked.
Eei, he shook his head and grunted.
I mean, it wasnt bad, it was just...it got dirty so easily.
Eei? The boy chirped with a blink whilst his right hand tucked his jacket.
Yeah, it was black. Thank goodness the skirts were not too short.
Hai.
Oh? She tilted her head rather slightly.
They stopped and turned to each other, the boy namely realising the context and suddenly glanced away with the earlier blush returning with dreadful reckoning. She giggled upon seeing the guiltlessness in his eyes, oh the goodness and kindness if anything was to show from his subtly quivering lips and an edgy shirt tuck.
Oh, I see, she blushed slightly and nodded. Being tall does have its disadvantages.
Then the bell rang.
It was nice meeting you, she smiled and Endie nodded back.
Within minutes, the duo parted, Moka promptly finding her classroom.
The vampirette tucked at her sundress when she sat down, her eyes daintily wandered around to the other learners. She almost squeaked when she saw the boy sitting in the middle across the left side. Once everyone was seated, a green skinned woman in a white cloak approached the podium and rested a binder against it. Her left hand adjusted her rectangular reading glasses whilst she opened the binder. Good evening and welcome back, everyone, she contently greeted the class. A flurry of passive or gleeful grunts and wavers replied back, but Moka was the only one who bowed lightly. Hmm, my, we have a few new faces around here, the homeroom teacher muttered loudly. Anyhow, I am sure you all had a wonderful summer holiday, soaking up the sun, seeing family, the likes. Really?
A mixture of timid or giddy giggles replied amongst the silence or hidden grunts in between. Nay, I didnt think so, she purred. So, lets get started. Shalt we? Zombee?
Hrgh, a green skinned boy grunted.
Skellington?
Here, a midly pale skinned boy in white clothing raised his hand.
Creep, aka Al Bum?
Tis Creep as in Crepes, Ms Hudson, a tanned skin boy in a green camouflage clothing stammered. And for the last time, I am not a lazy bum!
Hmm, same old same old, The homeroom teacher murmured darkly. Spider?
Over here, a purple haired boy in dark teal clothes hung upside down from the ceiling. Just hanging out.
Endie?
Hai, he chirped calmly.
Mucus?
Moka almost shakily shook her head at the name, almost cringing if anything.
Boujour, madame, a boy in bright green clothes chirped as he was soldering something together.
Zombieswine, aka Der Swinehund?
Hrgh, that was uncalled for, a hideously pig faced boy snorted.
And Ghist?
Hi, a tall well endowed woman in a white dress muttered mousily.
Hmm, Ms Hudson nodded upon scanning the dossier a few more times. Strange. Some of you are not on here. Hmm, very well then.
But it was upon closing her binder she took a few steps back and pointed, You, you, you, you, you, you, you, and you, come up front, please.
Moka was among those that were called. Thus she stood and followed behind seven others to the front of the class, the forbinded eyes of the whole class fastened on her and her fellow newcomers. Hello, my name is Maggie, a girl with grey skin and dark red hair smiled. Moka tilted her head slightly and curtly, wondering why this girl was stiff and stand. She didnt think much until a short silver haired boy came next. Um, hi, he said timidly. I am Silverster.
Then he scurried to the side with Maggie, narrowly avoiding a forceful shove from a midget size kid with green skin. Another zombie but tiny. He jumped onto the podium and wavered. Hey, I am Zupay, he said with his lips twitching wickedly. Twill be my greatest pleasure to be here, hehehe.
That was not sincere at all, Moka thought uneasily. Gosh, what have I gotten myself into?
Hey, names Cavell, a boy with grey clothes came next and said. But for some reason, he dared not to look at Spider in the eye. It was at that moment the duo shared similar eyes and facial structure. Siblings? Moka asked internally. Hmm...I know how it feels...
Before she knew it, he leaped upward, sticking onto the ceiling and crawled away. A sudden lift in warmth returned her aught to the front however. Hi, I am Blaise, a dark skinned blonde said sternly. Lets be happy campers, okay? Try anything funny, I will make sure you burn.
The pinkette shuddered to those words, albeit slightly.
I, Witton, a tall dark skinned boy in black clothes said.
Then another boy of the same make came henceforth thereafter. But unlike the former, this kid had a black skull outstretched on each of his shoulders.
Hello, it is us, Multus, he introduced himself.
Thah, the right skull jolted and clamped its jaws to the class.
Now, now, dont be rude, He said before peering at his left one. We got have a balance, dont we?
Us? Moka wondered whilst she giggled silently. A Mind Hive, eh? I seen spirits, but not many occupying one vessel. Huh.
Alright, good to see you all, he nodded and walked away.
After Moka was a well endowed blue haired girl.
Oh, good evening, my name is Kurumu, the busty girl smiled sweetly.
The vampirette could have sworn she saw a twinkle from a few boys, their eyes almost checking her out. It could be jealousy in her own mind however. Who knows? She swore to herself with a slight lookaway. Twas when she looked back that the girl was walking away, prompting the pinkette to make haste.
Hello, everybody, Moka greeted with a sweet smile. My name is Moka, and it is nice to meet you all!
That twinkle again! But this time, there was intrigue mixed in between. But look, not at them however. The door.
The door opened and in walked a man.
Ah, thank you, Ms Hudson. I will take it from here.
Mr Herobrine, the homeroom teacher bowed and calmly departed.
Ladies and gentlemen, he nodded to Moka and the newcomers. Have a seat.
And they did, all of them, and Moka too, dared not to look at his glowing white eyes.
Welcome, everyone. For those of you who been here last year, congratulations, you are now sophomores! For those of you who have chosen or been chosen to relocate here, I am proud to tell you that you have made a wise choice to enroll to this fine institution.
Hmm, Moka hummed internally. Even the teachers are nice here.
Whether you have been a freshman or sophomore yourselves beforetime, welcome to Willcraft Monster School.
Eh? Monster School?!
Perhaps this was not the wisest thing Moka had done after all...
