For a while she sat at the grave site, he was sat with her too, although he no longer had a physical form, he still liked to act as normal as possible.

"Freddy, I'm sorry." She blurted out suddenly.

"Sorry for what?" He asked, confused. What had she done wrong? She had nothing to be sorry for. At least he didn't think so.

"It was my fault that you're no longer here. I was such an idiot. People love me more than I love them and it makes me feel bad, like I'm using them, which I'm not. You were the only one who taught me how to love with all my heart and I screwed it up. It got you killed!" She explained, wiping an escaped tear from her cheek.

"Stop right there Effy. What happened to me was not your fault. I was the one who decided to go and confront that councillor, I should have known that I was walking into a trap. But I let jealousy blind me. It was my actions that got me here, not yours." He reassured. There was not a part of it that he blamed her for. He knew that it was his choices that had gotten him killed. Now he just needed to make sure that she knew that too.

"But if I had succeeded in taking my life, if I had cut deeper, if you had found me just minutes later, you would still be here because there would have been no councillor." She protested against his reason. She refused to accept that it was anyone else's fault besides her own.

"Life is full of what ifs Effy. But that doesn't mean that we should be focusing on them. I did what I did because I love you. You wouldn't have been able to change that if you tried." He stated, then quickly remembered the reason why he had appeared to her in the first place.

"I have something for you." He informed her. A frown appeared on her face. How was he supposed to physically give her anything if she couldn't even touch him?

As she was thinking about it, he produced a teddy bear. A plain caramel brown coloured bear holding a heart in its paws. Then he placed it on the ground for her to take it.

"It's something to remember me by. For when I have to go." He explained, noticing her confusion.

"But I don't wanna have to remember you. I want you to be here with me." She replied, disappointment setting in her heart.

"I wish I could baby." He sighed sadly.

Without another word, she took the bear and clung onto it. A mix of emotions settling in. Grief being the only one to remain constant. She knew that he said it wasn't her fault, but that didn't change anything about how she felt.

She wanted to say something else, but before she could, he had disappeared again. Her mind all over the place, she decided to make one more stop before going back home. At least it would be one thing that she could make right before it was too late, she thought to herself as she began walking towards the exit of the cemetery and down the street.
