Preparing For Summer Camp

The next morning at the Atwood residence, Lisa was sewing name tags into her clothes.

Camp Rosewood had a rule that the campers' clothing had to have their names on it so that no one got anything back that wasn't his or her own when the camp did the laundry.

When Melanie poked her head into Lisa's doorway.

"Lisa," Melanie asked. "do you think you could please help me?"

Lisa put down her needle.

"Of course, Melanie," Lisa answered. "what do you need?"

"I'm out of name tags," Melanie told Lisa honestly. "do you have any more?"

Lisa handed Melanie her extra blank name tags.

"It's hard to believe that this is your final summer in Camp Rosewood's sleep away program." Lisa said to Melanie.

"Yes, and I'll get to see Jessie while I'm there." Melanie said.

Melanie was referring to Jessica Whyte, Jason Whyte's younger sister.

"I know I can't wait to see Jace again." Lisa agreed, closing her trunk.

Melanie was on her way back to her bedroom with the name tags in hand.

Over in Arlington Virginia, Jason passed by his sister, Jessica's bedroom.

"You packed your stuff already?" Jason asked Jessie.

"Yes, Jace, I have." Jessie answered.

"You know, the camp bus won't be here until the day after tomorrow which is Wednesday." Jason said to Jessie.

"It never hurts to be prepared." Jessie answered Jason.

"When you're right, you're right." Jason said to Jessie.

Jason went toward his bedroom.

"Where are you going?" Jessie asked Jason.

"I have some packing of my own to finish up." Jason answered Jessie.

Jason then went into his bedroom to finish packing his trunk for camp.

Over at the Lake residence, Stevie already had her clothes packed and her name was on them.
