Chapter 19: Rollercoaster Ride

A/N This chapter will be mainly what I originally planned to put in the last chapter about Jaz and Remus planning out how to get Jily together. I would have put this in the last chapter, but it was already so long, and you have all been waiting so long, I didn't want to make you all wait any longer for a new chapter. Hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Harry Potter characters or anything Harry Potter related. I do own the OC Jasmine and the plot of this story.

A few days after Jasmine's breakdown is when they all decided to finally tell Lily the truth. They decided that Jaz would be the one to bring Lily up to the boys' dorm room since she was most likely to follow her up there.

So, after dinner, Jaz lured Lily up to the boys' dorm. Though when Lily saw that Jaz was leading her toward the stairwell for the boys' dorms, she stopped her cousin by grabbing her arm. "Wait, Mina. Where are you going? Are you taking me up to the boys' dorm to try and get me together with James? Because you better not be."

They were standing at the base of the stairs that led to the boys' dorms. Jaz looked back at Lily who still was gripping her cousin's arm. Then she decided to explain herself. "Lils, I told you that I couldn't tell you what I am keeping from you because it wasn't my secret. Well, I told the boys about how I hate keeping something from you, and James came up with this great idea about how we should tell you the truth. It was his idea after the rest of the boys agreed with him about telling you. So, I am taking you to their dorm as per James's plan. In the dorm is where we can finally tell you the truth. And before you argue that this could have been done elsewhere, it can't because we all really don't want the rest of the student body to know."

Lily stared at her cousin in awe. "You're serious?" Lily questioned. She was surprised that James would even consider agreeing let alone telling her the truth. She already knew how he felt about her (the same way she felt about him), but she didn't think his feelings were strong enough to have him considering trusting her with a well-guarded secret of his and the rest of his little group, the "Marauders." Soon Lily got lost in her thoughts about the Marauders and James. She got so lost in thought that by the time Jaz managed to bring her out of her thoughts, the two girls were standing outside of the boys' dorm.

Upon entering the dorm room, the two girls were met with the sight of four boys arguing in the middle of the room. The arguing, though, abruptly stopped when they heard Jaz slam the dorm door closed. They all turned toward the sound, and upon seeing Jaz and Lily, the boys decided that they could argue more later. None of them were going to dare to start arguing lest they feel the wrath of one Jasmine Dupont. Instead of arguing, James and Sirius greeted the girls. Then they went up to the girls and looped their arms with each of the girls. Sirius looped his arms with his girlfriend and James looped arms with Lily, who actually didn't try to protest. The boys then led the two girls further into the room to where there were two chairs that they had placed in the center of the room. The girls each took a seat and waited.

Nothing was said for what felt like forever, or at least to Lily, it felt like that. So, not being able to stand the silence (or suspense) any longer, Lily spoke up. "So, were you planning on telling me this secret anytime soon, or…" Lily trailed off.

James held up a finger in response. See, after they all decided to tell Lily about their animagi status (and that it was James's idea), they decided that James would actually be the one to come up with the plan. They, especially Jasmine, didn't really want to lie to Lily completely. Anyway, James's plan was pretty simple but yet somewhat insane. Instead of just straight up telling Lily the secret, James wanted to just show her. "Seeing is believing after all," he had said. So, James held up his finger to Lily because he was still getting ready to change into a stag. Plus, he still wanted to build some more suspense.

A few seconds later, there was a stag standing in place of James. Lily gasped in surprise. She probably would have screamed (out of surprise) too if Jaz hadn't stopped her by putting a hand over her mouth before she could get more than a gasp out.

Soon, in front of the girls was Remus surrounded by 3 animals: a stag, a big black dog, and an almost barely noticeable mouse. Not long after, Jaz got up. And soon the other three animals were joined by a horse. Once Jaz joined the boys in her animagi form, Remus walked over to where Lily was now sitting alone and joined her. By now, Lily's initial shock had long since worn off. Now her thoughts were racing as she put together all the pieces in her head. And by the time she had done this, the three boys plus Jasmine had changed back to their human forms. The 4 animagi now stood in front of Lily waiting to see what her reaction would be. Jaz was expecting at least some scolding from her cousin for doing something so dangerous. The other boys were expecting something a bit more than scolding. What they weren't expecting was for her to not flip out or scold them at all. What Lily did, surprised them all.

Instead of scolding them or screaming or even flipping out on them, Lily calmly asked them about what she pieced together in her head. "Well, I wasn't expecting that to be the secret, but it makes sense." Lily then directed a question to Jasmine. "So, this is why you go out on full moon nights? All of you go out and be with Remus during his transformations?"

Jaz knew she shouldn't really be surprised that Lily figured it out, but her brain wasn't really working for her right now. It was too busy trying to process Lily's reaction. The other animagi seemed to be having the same issue. Remus, on the other hand, wasn't as shocked as the others. "Actually, yes, Lily. That is exactly what they do," Remus answered.

"Well, first off, how could you four be so stupid? Trying to do something like this could have ended up so much worse and you could have completely screwed it up. Then there is the fact that you four are stupid enough to hang around a werewolf during a full moon. Do you realize just how dangerous and foolish that is?" Lily continued to scold them for their stupid actions, but in the end, she complimented them. "All that aside, you guys doing this for Remus is really sweet." The others all smiled at Lily's words and were grateful that she wasn't all that upset about the whole thing.

Nothing between the Marauders and Lily changed after she found out about their secret. Jasmine was grateful for that. And now that that was all settled and done with Jasmine could turn her focus back on getting James and Lily together finally. She would definitely need some help, which she was already getting from Remus. And that is why Remus and Jasmine were currently sitting in the Gryffindor common room on the couch awfully close to each other. They were only sitting close together so that no one overheard their conversation. They did not need to feel the wrath of Lily Evans because they were trying to set her and James up. Though with them sitting so close to each other, it didn't necessarily look all that platonic to onlookers, and one onlooker in particular just happened to see them and he was not happy about it.

It had been a week after they told Lily their secret when Sirius walked into the Gryffindor Common room after playing some one-on-one quidditch with James. He was exhausted, but it was nice to just hang out with his best mate. They hadn't hung out much, just the two of them since he had gotten together with Mare. And they had needed the time together. So, Sirius was in a pretty good mood upon entering the common room. That mood quickly vanished as he glanced around the common room and spotted his girlfriend. At first, Sirius was glad to see his girlfriend, but then he noticed that she was sitting really close to some other guy on the couch, someone who wasn't him. And Sirius didn't really mind that Jasmine was hanging out with other guys who weren't him. He didn't really care. No, it was the fact that she was sitting closer than what he would consider platonic. And it didn't help when Sirius realized that the guy that Jaz was sitting so close to was actually Remus. So, there Sirius stood fuming at the entrance of the common room, which is where James found him when he finally got back to Gryffindor Tower.

James would have gone back to the common room with Sirius, but he had needed to put the quidditch stuff away. Sirius hadn't wanted to wait for him, so he left without James. So, when James finally got back to the common room, he expected Sirius to be up in their dorm room hogging all the hot water as he took a shower. Therefore, when James found Sirius silently fuming at the entrance, he knew that something was wrong. James noticed that Sirius was glaring at something, and upon following his gaze, found what was making Sirius so upset. Upon seeing Jaz and Remus sitting super close on the couch, James became conflicted. On one hand, James knew Remus, and he knew that this was very unlike Remus. Also, James knew Jasmine and he doubted she would ever cheat of Sirius, especially after seeing them together since Christmas. On the other hand, Sirius was James's best mate and practically his brother. He wasn't about to stand there and let his brother get hurt. And it was that thought process that led James to drag an angry Sirius away from the common room and up to their dorm room.

In the dorm room, Sirius started to pace and angrily rant. "How could they do this to me? I thought they were my best friends. I thought they would never hurt me. I trusted them so much. I never would have thought that either was capable of doing this." Sirius continued on like this until James stopped him.

"Woah hold up there, Pads. It might not be what it looked like. The only thing we know for sure is that they were huddled close together on the couch. I mean it wasn't like they were kissing or anything. Remus is her friend too." James tried to reason with Sirius.

"True, but still why would they even be sitting that close together, Prongs?"

"I don't know Pads, maybe they were working on homework or something."

"I've seen them work on homework together before, Prongs, they never have to sit that close together."

"Okay, but what else could it be? Because I know for sure it is not what you were thinking it is. So, Sirius you can stop being jealous of their relationship and start thinking of more logical reasons for what we both just saw in the common room."

"Whatever James, I am not jealous. I am just thinking of all of the possibilities." Sirius really didn't know what to think about the scene he just witnessed in the common room. He really didn't think one of his best mates and his own girlfriend would be doing stuff behind his back, but he couldn't think of what else they could possibly be doing that would require them to sit that close to one another.

"Well, you know as well as I do that this isn't like either of them. But I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one, Pads." James just could picture either of them cheating or even either of them wanting to hurt Sirius at the very least.

"Yeah, I would too, Prongs, but what could they possibly be doing that requires them to be that close?" It was killing Sirius not knowing what could be going on between one of his best mates and his girlfriend.

James thought for a bit, as he tried to think of a reasonable explanation for the scene they just witnessed. A few minutes went by before James had a sudden realization. "Maybe they were discussing a secret or something, Pads."

"That's it Prongs! That has to be why they were sitting so close!" Sirius exclaimed enthusiastically. But as he thought over the explanation, Sirius realized that this meant that Jasmine was keeping a secret from him. It also meant that Remus was keeping a secret from James and him. This bothered Sirius, not as much as the previous explanation had, but still. Something needed to be done now that they knew secrets were being kept. "Well, James, you know that this means that they are keeping secrets from us. This situation obviously needs to be dealt with in some way. I hope you know that I'm thinking."

A smirk suddenly appeared on James's face. "You know I do, Pads. Now let's get to planning." And so, until Remus reentered the room, the two best mates worked on their plan of how they were going to get back at Jasmine and Remus for keeping secrets from them.

For the next several days while Jasmine and Remus planned out various ways that they could get James to earn Lily's affection, Sirius and James worked on how they were going to get back at the other two. And this whole time, no one even bothered to wonder what Peter was up to (though they probably should have).

With Jasmine and Remus:

After that day that Sirius had seen them on the couch, Jasmine decided that they should probably discuss their plans somewhere else. The reason for that was due to some random first year Gryffindor having come up to them and tell them that they made a cute couple. The comment had confused them at first and then they realized how close they were sitting. They immediately jumped apart from each other and told the first year that in no way, shape, or form were they a couple.

Jasmine was so freaked out over the comment she straight up refused to talk about their plans and ideas the rest of the night, so instead, they worked on homework for the remainder of the night. Both of them were just glad that Sirius (or even James) hadn't seen them (or so they thought). So, they met in an empty classroom from then on to prevent anyone from getting the wrong idea about them.

The next day, after all their classes and homework were done, Jasmine and Remus met up in an empty classroom that Jasmine suggested that they work in when discussing James and Lily and their relationship. Jasmine was the first to arrive in the room, so she started casting spells so that the room would be soundproof. She would lock the room once Remus arrived. She really did not need anyone overhearing their conversation. Jasmine just hoped that no one would come looking for the two of them anytime soon. She hoped that Sirius would be too busy doing whatever he has been doing with James to notice that his girlfriend hasn't been around him so much anymore. But Jasmine felt that they needed this break from each other. They couldn't be together all the time, or they would probably end up driving each other crazy at some point.

Remus arrived at the room about half an hour after Jasmine, but he only was late because he snuck down to the kitchens to grab them some snacks. He figured they would be at this for a while and might lose track of time. He didn't want their focus to cause them to forget to eat after all.

After locking the door, Jasmine was the first to speak up. "Okay Remus, I know yesterday we were really only bouncing possible ideas off of each other. But we really have to start coming up with a plan. We need to get James and Lily together at least by the beginning of their 7th year. They are meant to be together. I just know it."

"Yes, I can't help but agree Jasmine. The problem is that lately, James hasn't been so focused on Lily. And if he has been, then he isn't telling me. If he were going to tell anyone, it would be Sirius, but since we can't tell him that Lily likes James fast, I think it would be beneficial to first work on a plan to get Padfoot to figure it out for himself." Remus was frustrated with his two mates lately. It seemed that lately every time he came back to the common room, they were working on something together. But when he asked them about it, they wouldn't tell him what they were doing. Remus couldn't really complain about them keeping secrets, though, since he was doing the same. Although, it technically wasn't his secret to tell, so they couldn't really blame him for that.

"Yeah. Having Pads in on this would make things a whole lot easier, but how would we even go about getting him to figure it out on his own. I mean he is brilliant when he wants to be, but he can be oblivious sometimes."

"I've already thought about that. Lily only told us that we could tell anyone, well what if we don't tell him and he just happens to overhear us," Remus explains as he goes into his various plans for telling Sirius about Lily. "Or, and this one probably won't get us killed or seriously injured by Lily, what if one of us write a note to the other discussing Lily's feelings for James and happens to pass it to Sirius on accident or something like that."

"Ooh. That might just work, Moony." A more concrete plan started to form in Jasmine's mind. "Okay, so we have to make sure that we say in the note that we aren't allowed to tell anyone so that Pads knows that he can't tell James. Also, we have to make sure that he takes the note. We wouldn't want anyone else to know about Lily's feelings or she would kill us for sure."

"Well, Jaz as Sirius's girlfriend you have the better opportunity at making sure that Padfoot and only Padfoot gets the note. So, I think I will write the note and you can pass it to Padfoot."

"Perfect. Let's get started on this note then." Remus pulled out some parchment that he had brought and began to write the note. Jasmine looked over his shoulder as he wrote to make sure that they included everything that needed to be said in the note. Several drafts and a few hours later, they had finished their final copy of the note that they planned on Jasmine giving him tomorrow in their last class of the day, Muggle Studies.

With James and Sirius:

While Jasmine and Remus were going up with a way to tell Sirius the secret that they were keeping from him and James, the boys in question were planning their "revenge" for them keeping their secret. And the best, and really only, appropriate way for them to get "revenge" was to pull a prank on them. So that is what they had been working on and why they wouldn't let Remus in on the plan. They couldn't risk either of the "victims" finding out before their plan was finalized and set in motion. It would ruin the prank if they knew it was coming before they pulled it. The best part of the prank, the element of surprise, would be taken away if they found out.

So, after classes, James and Sirius headed straight up to their dorm room. They didn't even question why Peter wasn't there, but they were thankful that the dorm was empty. They went over to Sirius's desk and pulled out the plans for the prank they began planning last night. They reviewed what they already had and discussed making some changes.

"Hey, Prongs, what if instead of dumping water on their head we dump goo?" Sirius suggested.

"That is brilliant Pads. And I was thinking instead of yelling that we know that they are hiding something from us, how about we have confetti fall on them and a banner appears, shouting it at them."

"Brilliant," Sirius agreed.

They continued on like this for the rest of the night as they made their final plans for the prank that they were planning on pulling at dinner tomorrow evening. They wanted it to be perfect before they put the plan into action. Though, they decided that the sign and confetti part of the prank could be done in a more private location. They didn't need everyone to know that there was some kind of secret that Remus and Jasmine were keeping. If people knew that, they might start to look closer at the Marauders and discover secrets that they were not trying to bring out into the open. And James and Sirius really did not want that to happen. It would ruin everything and possibly get them expelled.

By the time Remus finally came back to the dorm, the boys had finalized their plan and were ready for tomorrow. They were all set to pull a great prank on two of their best mates. They were looking forward to how this prank would turn out. What they didn't know is that Sirius had a big day ahead of him and a big decision to make as well.

By the time Muggle Studies rolled round, the note was burning a hole in Jasmine's pocket. She was anxious to give it to Sirius. She really hated keeping the secret from him, but really Jaz's relationship with Lily was always going to trump her relationship with Sirius. Sirius was her boyfriend, but Lily was family. And the two girls had been through so much together already, it was hard not to put her above Sirius. They were basically sisters after all was said and done. And really since her aunt and uncle basically adopted her, it meant that she was basically Lily's adopted sister. But Jasmine saw the benefits of having Sirius on board with their planning. She and Remus were pretty busy with their work and everything that they just didn't have as much free time as Sirius seemed to have. And with Remus being even busier than Jasmine, there were times that Jaz knew he wouldn't be able to work on their plan when she knew Sirius would be.

Jasmine waited until the end of Muggle Studies to put their plan in action. The class had just ended, and Sirius was waiting on his girlfriend to get all of her stuff so they could head back to the common room together. It was taking Jasmine much longer (purposefully) to get her stuff together, so Sirius decided to help her get all of her stuff. That is when Jasmine accidentally (purposefully) knocked into Sirius and spilled both of their stuff all over the floor.

"Oh, no. Look at what I've done now. I'm so sorry, Pads. I didn't see you there." Jasmine pulled off innocent klutz quite well, especially since she could be quite klutzy sometimes.

"It's fine Mare. Let's just pick it all up and head up to the common room. If I accidentally grabbed something of yours, I could just get it back to you later."

"Oh, okay. That's fine. But someone's in a rush to get back to the common room. Got a hot date or something I should be worried about?" Jasmine joked.

"Yeah, actually I do." Sirius laughed upon seeing the horror-stricken look on Jasmine's face. "With James," Sirius added.

Jasmine smacked Sirius on the arm. "Jerk." Then she picked up some of the stuff while making sure to slide the note in the pile that Sirius picked up. They walked back to Gryffindor Tower, and upon entering the common room, placed all the stuff down on one of the many tables. There, Jasmine began to sort out what was hers and what was Sirius's stuff. Just as she was about to give Sirius his stuff, she noticed that her boyfriend was about to leave, so she stopped him. "Wait, Pads. I think this is all your over here. You should take it before you forget about it. Wouldn't want to lose any of that stuff."

Sirius glanced at the pile. He shot Jaz an appreciative look before taking the pile of stuff up to his dorm room. Before he left, he made sure to kiss Jasmine on the cheek. "I'll see you later, Mare." And then he was gone with the note laying right on top of his pile of things. Jasmine really hoped that James wouldn't see it, but since she knew Remus was also in the room right now, she was less worried about it.

Sirius didn't notice the note until he sat down to do some of his work when he saw that Remus was in the room and it wasn't just James. When he saw the note on top of his stuff, Sirius knew it wasn't his, so he figured it was from Jasmine. What he wondered was why did he leave him a note when she could have just told him whatever it was when he saw her only minutes ago. To find out what was so secretive that Jasmine couldn't tell him in person.

The note, Sirius soon found out, wasn't meant for him. And when he saw who it was meant for and who it was from, he got just a little bit mad.

The Note:

Jaz, I know we were planning on meeting in that empty classroom to discuss our plans for getting James and Lily together, but I am a bit busy tonight. I wish I could help, but school comes first you know. Also, I wish that you could still plan tonight without me, but I know that you work better with someone else so you can bounce ideas off of them. It is too bad that Lily made both of us promise not to tell anyone about her feelings for James. I bet if we were able to tell Sirius, he would be completely on board for helping you out. The only thing is that I would be afraid that he would end up telling James, which would then get us both killed by Lily. Too bad we can't tell Sirius that Lily actually feels the same way about James as James does her, but that Lily is too stubborn to act on her feelings when James hasn't done anything, in her opinion, to earn her "love." Oh well. Maybe we can meet up tomorrow.

~Remus

P.S. make sure this note doesn't get into anyone else hands. It would be absolutely awful for Lily to kill us because this happened to land in the wrong hands.

The first time through reading the note, Sirius's anger dissipated. Rather, it was replaced by another emotion, surprise. And once the surprise disappeared, Sirius was left with the realization that this note was about the secret that Remus and Jasmine were keeping from him and James. The same secret that James and he had planned a prank for as a way to get back at the other two. And now Sirius understood why they were keeping a secret from him. It made complete sense that they wouldn't tell him and James about this, especially after Lily told them not to. But this note, whether it accidentally or purposefully ended up with him, was breaking that promise that they both made to Lily. And if it was purposefully given to him (Sirius suspected that it was), then they were both willing to risk bodily harm from Lily Evans to include him. With these realizations dawning on him, Sirius didn't know what to do or even think. Now that he actually knew the secret, how could he still go through with the "revenge" prank that he and James had planned for dinner? It was something that conflicted Sirius. He didn't know what to do because there was no reason for him to still go through with the prank as he didn't actually necessarily need "revenge." But he couldn't tell James that or then he would want to know the secret, and Sirius really couldn't tell James, or else he would face the wrath of Lily Evans along with Jaz and Remus. That was something that Sirius really didn't want to experience.

So, Sirius was conflicted. He wasn't sure what he should do right now. He continued to think about his options for a while until he finally came up with a plausible solution to his troubles. If he could convince James to only do the public prank and not the private one, that might just work out better. After all, Sirius was still a bit mad about seeing Jaz and Remus sitting that close in the common room on one of the couches. He knew that nothing was going on between them, but jealousy and logic didn't always go well together.

Thus, Sirius (who was still in the dorm room) went over to James, who was lying down on his bed throwing something up in the air. Once Sirius was close enough to James that Remus couldn't hear him, Sirius whispered, "Prongs, I think we should just do the first part of our prank."

"What why?" James whispered yelled back.

"Because what if they are keeping a secret from us because they are trying to surprise us or something. We wouldn't want to ruin the surprise by getting them to tell us the secret now would we."

"Very true Pads. I hadn't thought about that. I guess you're right then. We should probably just go ahead with the first part and save the second part for a later date." James agreed with Sirius's assumption, thankfully.

Dinner came around rather quickly and so did James and Sirius's prank on Jaz and Remus. The boys decide to go to dinner early without the soon-to-be victims of their latest prank. They needed time to make sure that the prank was operational and would work as they planned it to. And they also wanted to get good seats to see their friends' reactions when they realized they were getting pranked.

James and Sirius were sitting in their usual seats when James noticed Jasmine and Remus enter the Great Hall. And once they were over the threshold, a ton of green goo fell on top of them. The goo was then followed by a bunch of glitter and confetti. Once the two were visible again, they looked like giant glittery goo monsters. Just the sight of them was enough to make most of the students in the Great Hall burst out into laughter. Even Jasmine and Remus started laughing when they saw each other. They obviously knew who had pulled this prank, though they weren't entirely sure why. Jasmine, as well as Remus, had her suspicions, but she would just have to ask the two "brothers" straight-up why they had done it. Jaz decided that that could wait until after she cleaned herself up, though. She wasn't about to eat dinner as a goo monster. Thus, she exited the Great Hall not long after the laughter had died down. Remus followed right behind her.

Remus was lagging a little bit behind Jasmine, but he managed to catch up to her. "Jaz, do you think that that prank was about what happened the other night? Do you think they saw us in the common room?"

"I would bet on it, Moony," Jasmine sighed. "It seems we have a mess to clean up and I don't just mean the mess on ourselves."

Remus nodded in agreement and was thankful when they reached the common room, but then realized that it would probably be better for them to clean up in the prefects' bathroom. The same bathroom that he knew the password for. Just a Jaz was about to enter the common room after giving the password to the Fat Lady, Remus grabbed her arm and stopped her. Jaz looked back at him and gave him a quizzical look, to which Remus answered, "I think it would be best if we got cleaned up in the prefects' bathroom. It is much bigger than these other bathrooms and it would be easier for us to clean ourselves, especially since there is a giant bathtub in there."

Jaz blushed a slight shade of pink at the mention of the bathtub. "Yeah, so I've heard. It's a great idea Moony, but if we don't want them to think we are a couple, we can't be seen leaving the bathroom together. If Pads finds out he might just kill us both."

"Do you really think Padfoot thinks that we are sneaking around together behind his back?"

"I don't really know Remus, but I don't want to take that chance and get him even more upset that he can't trust me anymore or something like that. I really hope he doesn't think that I am cheating on him because that would be absolutely awful. I care for him too much to have him think that I am hurting him when I'm not actually hurting him." Jasmine didn't know what she would do if this whole charade that she and Remus had been pulling had inadvertently caused a rift between her and Sirius. They had only been dating for a few months now, but still, Jasmine felt like Sirius understood her in a way no one else had been able to before, even Lily. So, to lose him like this would really hurt her more than she was willing to admit.

Remus gave the girl a smile. "Well, we better head to the prefects' bathroom now if don't want anyone getting suspicious of what is taking us so long to get cleaned up."

"Yeah, hold on. Let me go get my spare robes." Jasmine ran into the common room and up to her room. She was back within a minute. And by that time, Remus had also grabbed his spare robes. Then they headed to the prefects' bathroom to get cleaned off (one at a time).

Meanwhile, in the Great Hall, the boys who had pulled the prank we still laughing (internally) at the memory of their friends' faces. They had expected that they were planning on going to clean up after the prank, so they weren't surprised when Jasmine and Remus exited the Great Hall the way that they had just come. What worried them most (mainly Sirius) was when they didn't return as soon as they expected their two buddies to return. Now Sirius wasn't worried that something happened to them, but he was a bit worried that he had made Jasmine mad at him. And he really didn't like making her mad, especially after how she treated him last year. Sirius didn't think that he could handle being ignored by his own girlfriend, especially now that he knew the secret that she and Remus were keeping from him in the first place. Which reminded him that he was going to have to get the two alone sometime after dinner to discuss the secret that he now knew.

Sirius was just about to get up and leave the Great Hall to go search for his girlfriend and other best mate when the two in question walked back into the Great Hall. They looked good as new. Sirius nor James could see a single sign of the prank that they had just pulled on the two.

Jasmine took her usual seat next to Sirius and Remus ended up sitting alone on the other side of the table because Peter wasn't there. That fact didn't seem to bother or concern any of them. "That was a bit clever you two," Jasmine commented. "But personally, I think it could have been better."

Sirius let out a sigh of relief upon realizing that Jaz wasn't mad at him. And because of that, he just had to retort. "Oh, yeah. Well, I think James and I did a great job. Plus, you didn't even see it coming. We can be great secret keepers." Jasmine took that last part as a hint that Sirius wanted to talk about the secret he found out about earlier.

Before giving her own quip back, Jasmine glanced at Remus to see if he caught the hint as well. "Sure, you are," Jasmine said sarcastically. Sirius opened his mouth to let out a retort, but Jasmine continued before he could. "I mean you two weren't all that secretive about the fact that you were planning something. Remus and I just didn't know what. Now we know what you were doing. And if you ever plan on pranking me again, you will be sorry," Jasmine threatened with a smile on her face as she gave a stunned Sirius a kiss on the cheek. James was also stunned at just how easily Jasmine could threaten them and not make it seem like a threat at all. But it was still a threat, so the boys glanced at each other and both agreed that it would be a very bad idea to prank Jasmine again. It was a good thing that Sirius had convinced James that the second part of the prank was unnecessary. James didn't want to find out just what Jasmine was capable of when she wanted to get revenge.

The rest of the dinner went smoothly. Nothing of real importance really happened. Peter ended up showing up halfway through and took his regular seat next to Remus. It wasn't until after dinner that things started to get interesting. Upon getting back to Gryffindor Tower, James decided that he was going to try and get Lily's attention and maybe hang out with her. They were friends now after all. That worked perfectly with Sirius's plans, except for the fact that Peter was actually in the room when he wanted to confront Remus about what he knew. And there was no way that Sirius was planning on letting Peter in on the secret. He was absolutely terrible at keeping secrets. If Sirius were to trust anyone with a secret, Peter would be the last one that he would trust. He would never trust him to be a secret keeper. So, Sirius would either have to wait to confront Remus, or he could go try and find Jasmine and confront her instead.

Sirius left his dorm room in search of his girlfriend. He sadly didn't find her in the common room, which meant she had left Gryffindor Tower all together or she was up in her dorm room. And if she was in her dorm room, then Sirius couldn't get up there, at least not without some help. But if Sirius asked for help from one of the girls in the common room, then they would want to know why he needed to go up there and whatever. Sirius did not need any questions right now. Therefore, instead of asking for help, Sirius decided to look for Jasmine elsewhere. There was still a chance that she had left the common room and gone to the library or something to study.

Just as Sirius was about to leave the common room, Alice called out to him. "Sirius, wait up!" Sirius turned around and looked at the girl. Once she caught up to him, Sirius noticed that she had a note in her hand. "This is from Jasmine. She told me to give it to you when I went down to meet Frank." She gave him the note, then vanished to meet up with her boyfriend.

The piece of parchment now in Sirius's hand was folded up into a square, which he immediately unfolded. The note read:

Pads,
We need to talk, but I have to finish up some homework first. I'll meet you and Moony in the empty classroom that Moony and I have been meeting in later. I should be done within an hour, so don't be later than that.
Love,
Mare.
P.S. Please tell Moony about this. Thanks :)

The note put a smile on Sirius's face, especially at the way that Jasmine had signed it. It made him so happy that he couldn't keep the smile off of his face, even when he walked back into his dorm room. Peter and Remus were still in the room, but it was Remus who asked. "What's got you so happy, Padfoot?"

Sirius, who had still been staring down at the note, didn't even bother to glance up when he responded. "Just a note from Mare."

"Oh, so that's what the lovey-dovey look on your face is about," Remus teased. Sirius blushed and handed Remus the note to "show" him what he was so happy about. Remus read over the note and gave Sirius a curt nod in response as he understood what was to be done within an hour.

So, within an hour, Remus had led Sirius to the empty classroom that they had been meeting in. When they go there, Jasmine had been waiting for them. It looked like she had actually been there the whole time, what with her books and several pieces of parchment scattered around on some of the tables.

Jasmine didn't seem to hear them when they walked in. She seemed to be too immersed in whatever she was currently working on. Therefore, to gain his girlfriend's attention, Sirius teased, "Wow, such a hard worker. Whatcha workin' on, Mare?"

Jasmine jumped slightly at the sound of her boyfriend's voice. But the shock didn't last for long because soon she gave her own retort back. "Oh yeah. That's me the hard-working witch. I'm definitely not working on my plans for getting James and Lily together."

Sirius couldn't help but smile at Jasmine. She was clearly not doing any schoolwork, but it appeared that she had been. "Okay, but then what's all this for then?" Sirius gestured over to the table that had several books scattered on it.

"Oh, yeah, well, you only asked what I was working on. I had been working on my work before. I finished about 10 minutes ago. I haven't actually been working on this stuff for all that long, but I think that I have some great idea to get Lily to finally think that James is worth her affections."

Remus walked over to Jasmine to see what she had come up with, but Sirius stayed where he was. They needed to talk about what they had accidentally on purpose told him before they went on with their planning. Also, Sirius had some questions of his own about the whole situation.

It took the other two several minutes before they realized that Sirius hadn't joined them. Jasmine looked up from the parchment she was using to write her ideas on. Upon seeing Sirius still in the same place that he was minutes ago, she motioned for him to join them. "Come on Sirius. We have to get started if we want to get them together before we all leave Hogwarts."

Sirius shook his head. Jasmine frowned at her boyfriend. "No. First, we have to talk."

"About what?" Jasmine questioned.

"What do you think, Mare?" Sirius stared at her in confoundment. He couldn't believe that for as smart as Jasmine was that she didn't realize that they needed to talk about the note and the revelation that it provided him. "The note! You know the note that you 'accidentally' gave me earlier when you sorted out our stuff. Now that I think about it, you probably bumped into me and spilled my stuff on purpose, didn't you?"

Jasmine began to laugh. The other two stared at her like she was crazy, but she was able to explain herself once the laughter died down. "Sorry… It's just…" Jasmine paused a moment to catch her breath. "I just can't believe you thought that I didn't realize what you were talking about. I mean come on, what else would you have wanted to talk about with me and Remus?"

"So, you're saying that you were just messing with me just now?" Sirius asked of the girl in front of him.

"Yep." Sirius gave Jaz a dirty look, but he wasn't really angry with her. She ignored the look and continued. "Anyway, Lily likes James as more than a friend, and we need your help to get them together."

"Okay, but first I have a few questions." Jasmine motioned for Sirius to continue. "First off, I get why Mare would know, but why do you know, Moony?"

"Actually, I was the first to know." Remus ignored Sirius sputtering in shock and continued on. "See, when James was telling me about what happened at the ball. And the fact that Lily had gotten so mad as well as some other things that I had noticed bothered me about Lily and James's newfound friendship. So, during rounds, I confronted Lily with my suspicions, and I guess she really felt the need to tell someone about her feelings. That is when she confided in me about her new feelings for James. She pretty much confirmed my suspicions, but then she made me promise not to tell any of you. It wasn't like I was planning on telling any of you, but I wasn't sure how long I could actually keep this information to myself without having someone to talk about it with. Therefore, I encouraged Lily to tell Jasmine, which I guess influenced her to tell Jasmine maybe. I really don't know."

"Wow. I was not expecting that, but okay. If Moony confronted Lily, then how did you find out Mare?" Sirius was curious to learn how they had come to this point after all.

"I also confronted Lily, but it wasn't about her feelings for James entirely. I actually confronted her because I saw that she was wearing that necklace that James gave her for Christmas under her robes. I'm guessing she is still wearing it. That necklace really means a lot to her," Jasmine explained.

"Wait, you're telling me that she is still wearing the necklace?! She has it bad for Prongs." The other two nodded in agreement. But then something else occurred to Sirius. "If she likes Prongs so much, why doesn't she just tell him? Clearly, she already knows how he feels about her given the number of times he has 'flirted' with her and asked her. It's clear that they both feel the same way about each other. So, what's the problem?"

Remus and Jasmine exchanged a look before deciding that Jasmine would explain just how stubborn her cousin was. "See, Lily doesn't think that James has actually earned her feelings. She refuses to act on her feelings until he has actually grown up. And by that, I mean stop acting so arrogant and like a bully. But you two have really grown up over the past year, so we are trying to figure out other ways that James could earn Lily's favor."

"So why do you need me then? It seems like you have everything figured out." Sirius really didn't understand why now they had both decided suddenly that they needed his help. They seemed to have been doing fine without him.

"Yeah, well, since you're James's very best mate, we figured if he were going to tell anyone about his feelings for Lily it would be you. He trusts you the most. I mean you guys are practically brothers."

"I appreciate that you guys think he would confide in me about his feelings about Lily, but as far as I know he is still in love with her as he has been for a long time now."

"Yes," Remus started. "We figured that was still the case, but we weren't sure since it has been a while since he has asked her out."

"What are you talking about, Moony? He literally just asked her out today. And you know what, she actually looked almost tempted to say yes, but clearly she said no or we all would have heard about it from Prongs." Sirius was astounded at the fact that Remus wasn't aware of James's real reasoning for wanting to hang out with Lily earlier.

"What?!" Jasmine and Remus gasped.

Sirius shrugged, "Yeah, why do you think he wanted to hang out with her after dinner?"

"Wait a minute. Are you telling us that the reason James went to hang out with Lily was that he was going to ask her out?" Jasmine questioned him.

"What, no! He wanted to hang out with her to make sure that even after he asked her out that nothing had changed between them. He still wants to be her friend even if he can't have her the way he wants her. There is no way that he would want to ruin his friendship with Lily. He still wants her in his life one way or another."

Jasmine and Remus stared at Sirius for a few moments before Jasmine moved. Soon she was standing right in front of her boyfriend. Her next action surprised both boys in the room. She grabbed Sirius by the tie and pulled him down to kiss him. At first, the kiss was awkward since Sirius was shocked that it even happened, but soon his brain caught up and he was kissing Jasmine back. He wrapped his arms around her and soon his hands found their way into her strawberry blonde hair. Jasmine was sinking deeper into the kiss and her hands had moved from Sirius's tie to his neck as she tried to pull him even closer. The kiss was beginning to turn into a full-on snog session, and it would have if Remus hadn't interrupted it. "Ahem!" The couple jumped apart suddenly at the exclamation. "I'd rather not watch you two snog each other's faces off, so if you're both done can we get back to planning?"

Both parts of the couple were not blushing, though Jasmine's blush was much more prominent than Sirius's. But they still nodded their heads in agreement with Remus. "Sorry about that Remus, but I just had to." Jasmine grabbed Sirius's hand and started leading him over to the table she had been working at. At the table, Jasmine pulled Sirius down into a seat next to her. Then she turned and gave Sirius a quick peck on the cheek before explaining herself to her boyfriend (and Remus). "Pads, that is exactly why we need you. You are the only one who seems to be constantly around James. It would have taken us much longer to have finally figured out that James had asked out Lily today, much longer than would be productive to our planning."

Sirius smirked. "Glad to be useful." Sirius smiled at Jasmine, who smiled back until she heard what he mumbled after. "For once," Sirius added silently to himself (but Jaz still managed to hear it). Jaz really wanted to address that right now, but she couldn't bring herself to do it what with Remus being there and them already having spent the last hour explaining things to Sirius about their plan. She would just have to talk to him about it later.

The rest of the night the three of them worked out several possible ideas that could work for helping to get James together with Lily. They worked out plans for these ideas for the next several weeks. Soon they had several plans that they believed could reasonably work to finally get James and Lily together, and also get Lily to stop being so stubborn and see that James deserved her affection. By the time that they finalized these plans though, the end of term was getting pretty near, so they didn't have any time to actually implement these ideas. Though, that didn't deter Jasmine. She just told the others that they would just have to carry them out at the beginning of their 7th year.

After they had finalized the plans, Jasmine felt accomplished. She felt that any of their plans could work. "And," she thought. "once 'Jily' is finally together, me and Sirius probably with some help from James and Lily, can hopefully find someone for Remus." Jasmine thinks. "He definitely deserves someone, especially after all this work that he has put in to help me get James and Lily together."

A/N Second to last chapter complete. Yay. Sorry, you all had to wait so long. I was working on this other fanfiction. But then I decided to come back to this as of March 24 (Wednesday afternoon) since I've been stuck in quarantine in a dorm on my college campus as my one roommate tested positive for Covid . So, I've had a lot of time on my hands. This means that I will hopefully try to get out the last chapter before I get out of here. We will see though. But just as a note, the next chapter is will not exactly start where this chapter left off.
Anyway, I was thinking about the sequel that I am definitely going to be writing, and well I'm not great at coming up with names of titles and chapters sometimes, so how about some inspiration from you guys. What do you think the sequel should be named? (I do not want to call it From Beauxbatons to Hogwarts 2).

Thanks for reading,
