Several security officers stood on guard around the perimeter to the storage warehouse on the outskirts of Gotham. They were well armed and thoroughly trained to handle whatever trouble decided to pop up. However, their job wasn't defending an important dignitary, or protecting a key witness in an upcoming trial.

Tonight, their job was to defend one of the largest cash storage sites for the Falcone crime family.

Two of the guards were stationed at the front entrance to the main parking area. Normally, they were to remain vigilant until relieved at the end of their shift. However, their shift tonight had been uneventful, and they were growing laxed in their visual.

"Hey," one of them turned to the other.

"Yeah?"

"You ever wonder why we're here?"

"…" The second guard just stared. "…Are you for real?"

"What!? I'm just saying…"

"I mean, are you actually bloody kiddin' me? We've been standing here for God knows how long, doing absolutely nothing but watching this damn gate. Just as we had done so for the past three f%$^ing weeks. And you go and ask me that damn question? Are you actually f%#*ing serious?"

"Hey, I'm bored, alright? Yes, I know what we're doing. Yes, I know why we're standing guard here. I'm just trying to keep myself from losing my damn mind from being so damn bored."

"Well, try to find some way to keep yourself from not dying from boredom…without making you sound like a f%$*ing idiot!"

"Fine."

A brief pause.

"What do you want to talk about, then?"

"Oh, for…will someone PLEASE just shoot me n-"

Then, both men's bodies jolted before collapsing to the ground, blood pouring from the bullet hole in their heads. From his perch on a nearby rooftop, the Spartan fired his Silenced M392 DMR at the three remaining guards on the rooftop. Once the last guard was down, he fired his grapple-shot at the warehouse roof, and quickly ziplined across the dark street and towards the rooftop.

As he landed, he quickly checked for additional targets. Finding none, he made his way towards the roof entrance. As he approached, he could hear two more men just behind the doorway. He exchanged his DMR for his combat knife, and rapped on the door to gain the guards' attention. As the door opened from the inside, he slammed it fully open, catching the two men off guard. He quickly slit the first man's throat, then delivered a karate chop to the second's man's jugular. The Spartan continued on into the building, leaving the two doomed men to die.

He made his towards the central storage area. He made his way onto the upper balcony and peered down into the warehouse loading area. A large group of workers was busy loading large bundles of paper money into a fleet of armored vans and cargo trucks, He could also see multiple crates and duffel bags loaded with automatic weapons, assault rifles, RPG's, bullet-proof vests, and armor plating – more than enough to arm two full-sized platoons of soldiers.

If any of this made it onto the streets, Gotham's citizens could potentially find themselves caught up in an all-out turf war between the Falcone and their rival gangs and crime families.

Something the Spartan was determined to prevent.

Using his grapple-shot, he zip-lined towards a nearby support beam near the center of the warehouse. He quickly ascended down towards the floor, where a large thug was loading up a crate of weapons. The Spartan jumped up and thrust his knife into the thug's spinal cord, killing him instantly. He hid the body and moved towards one of the armored vehicles, a small pack of explosives clutched in his hand…

The guards watched as yet another firetruck rushed past towards the glowing blaze in the distance. A few hours before, the two guards had heard the sound of a massive explosion from a few blocks away. Normally, this wouldn't concern them; the sound of explosions and gunfire wasn't uncommon for Gotham City.

What concerned them, however, was that the source of the explosion was the secret/not-so-secret cash house to the Falcone crime family.

And given their reputation, they were just slightly relieved at the fact that they themselves wouldn't directly suffer their wrath. However, that wouldn't change the fact that the Falcone would be on the warpath now. After their recent losses in manpower and resources, they would be gunning for whoever blew up one of their largest cash houses.

But that could wait until another time. For the moment, their primary concern was to guard the entrance to a cocaine and cannabis production farm. And with the long line-up of potential clients in the near future, they were looking forward to earning thei-

Then, both guards felt an electric shock coursing through their bodies. They barely had time to register they had been tasered before collapsing to the ground. Both men were pulled into cover and handcuffed by a pair of SWAT officers. From his position on the balcony of an adjacent tower, the SWAT sniper-spotter called out the remaining security around the warehouse. Over his helmet radio, he could hear the other teams clearing the remaining security around the perimeter. Once the last guard was secured, his spotter signaled the other teams.

"Alpha, this is Recon 2. Security is down. You're clear to proceed."

Soon, a pair of armored SWAT vans charged through the gate, and came to a stop in the parking lot. The van doors opened, and the SWAT units exited the vehicles and quickly made their way towards the warehouse entrance. Seeing no opposition, one officer moved towards the door and used his bolt cutters to cut through the bolt lock. Then, another officer came up and pulled forth his Thundersledge hammer.

"This is Alpha 1, we're ready to breach," the SWAT Sergeant called through his radio. He waited and listened as the other teams called in.

"Alpha 2, in position."

"Alpha-3, standing by."

"Alpha-1 to Recon-2, how copy?"

"This is Recon-2, all outer patrols are down."

"Rodger that. All teams, prepare to breach on my mark."

The officer readied his Thundersledge, and the others readied themselves as the Sergeant gave the call…

"Breach in 3, 2, 1…Mark!"

The officer swung the hammer into the door, forcing it wide open. Checking to make sure it was clear, the SWAT members made their way into the warehouse, keeping their eyes peeled for any additional security. All around the complex, the other teams began pushing into the warehouse, keeping their eyes peeled for any surprises. Eventually, they reached the central storage area, where they could see a massive production line. Already, they could see dozens of crates and duffel bags loaded with illegal cannabis and cocaine packets.

Once they were in position, the SWAT teams made their move.

A few well thrown flashbangs caught the workers off guard, rendering them unable to react in time. The officers quickly tackled the workers to the ground, binding their arms and removing any weapons or firearm they found. A few workers managed to regain their bearings and attempted to flee out the back entrance. All they found were two more SWAT teams waiting for them. One SWAT officer was hit by one of the guards, who was then fired upon by the other officers receiving two bullets to his arm. The guard fell to the ground, where he was forced at gunpoint to surrender.

Fortunately, the SWAT teams made quick work of the remaining workers and crooked cops without further incident. As Alpha-1 made their way to the upper floor, the other teams went about securing the cocaine ladened crates. Once outside the main office, the SWAT Sergeant smashed the glass window and tossed a flashbang through the breach. Once the grenade went off, the one officer used the Thundersledge to force the door open. The SWAT team rushed in and quickly secured the two HVT's inside.

The first man was Ignacio Hernandez, the head of the Gotham Branch for the Sinaloa Cartel…

And the second was Jeffery B. Loeb, the upcoming candidate for the position of GCPD Commissioner of Police, and nephew of the former GCPD Commissioner, Gillian B. Loeb.

Suffice to say, the SWAT officers made sure both men were well restrained and unable to go anywhere or do anything.

While their methods were non-lethal, they weren't too eager to take it easy with their targets.

After all, they had little tolerance for drug peddlers, and zero tolerance for dirty cops.

While another team arrived to secure the office, the SWAT Sergeant and his men escorted the two men down to the main floor. On their way out, they saw the other teams identifying the workers and security personal. From there, they placed them into the back of the SWAT van, where they were read their rights and registered for incarceration.

Ignacio muttered curses in Spanish. Loeb, on the other hand, was far less subtle.

"Don't you know who I am? Don't you have any idea who you're dealing with? I'll have your badges for this? You hear me? You'll all pay for this! You hear? YOU'LL ALL PA-!"

Whatever he said afterwards was cut off as the van door was shut. Not too long after, the van pulled out of the parking lot, and drove away towards GCPD.

All the while, the Spartan watched from the top of a nearby skyscraper. While he had no doubt of the SWAT's abilities, he didn't want to take any chances. As such, he had maintained a silent vigil as the SWAT teams assaulted the drug production facility. A few crooked cops had moved to flank the SWAT teams from behind, only to fall to well-placed headshots from his M392. One production manager had tried to flee the scene via the back alleyway, though he didn't make it far before collapsing with a bullet wound in his left thigh. A nearby street cop found him bleeding out, and managed to tend his injury before the SWAT officers took him into custody.

Suffice to say, it was a much-needed victory for the city's SWAT unit, whose officers had been embroiled in a long, and costly, struggle against the city's crime and drug lords. It was a victory that was sorely needed after years of corruption and needless bloodshed. A victory that couldn't happen under the caped crusader's watch…

…but would continue to happen under the Spartan's protection.

For neither the city nor its citizens had seen or experienced the last…of the Spartan's Wrath.

Howdy, everyone. Here is the second update of my new Halo-Justice League Crossover Fanfiction story.

I will be honest: I truly considered this to be my weakest story idea so far…and yet, it's already received more favorites and followers than any of my previous stories. How about that?

So, this chapter also focused on the absolute badass police force known as the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT). Honestly, I'm surprised and disappointed at how little attention and respect these guys and gals get for their service…especially in the DC Comics franchise. Now, I'm no expert by any means, and I'm sure I got plenty of things wrong about SWAT tactics and protocol. Be that as it may, I thought they deserved to be in the spotlight for a change…all the while under the Spartan's watch, albeit from the sidelines.

And for the record, a standard sized platoon is between 20-50 men.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, because I'm certainly going to keep going at it for as long as I can. Until next time, please read and review.
