So, since I did a story with Sun, Moon, and Eclipse finding the daughters of their handler and being welcomed into the family, I just had to do another FNAF: Security Breach story. :) I have read some stories where Freddy is like family to Gregory and the other animatronics are freed from something deemed the Glitchtrap virus, a virus that apparently affected Chica, Roxy, Monty, Moon, and Vanessa until Gregory was able to stop the virus.
Anywho, on with the story! :) FNAF: Security Breach belongs to its respective owners. I only own Rachel and Sasha. Takes place after the story "More Secure With Friends", which can be found on my page.
Security In Family's Arms
Gregory looked around the ruins of the old Pizzaplex. "Do you see anyone, Freddy?" He asked.
"No, I don't," the bear animatronic said, sounding sad. "I was hoping some of my friends would be here."
"Do you think they got free of the virus and from Vanny?" The boy asked.
"I hope so, Superstar. You did stop her and the virus after all."
The boy was quiet a bit. "Yeah, but sometimes...you think you've gotten rid of something and it manages to find a way back."
Freddy was quiet and as they found some fallen debris, he scooped the boy up into his arms and carried him until they came to a room that seemed unscathed. "Hmm, this room seems to have been unaffected by the fire," the bear said.
"Why is that?" Gregory asked.
Freddy hummed before his ears perked up. "Ah, that's why. It's the fireproof escape room from the haunted house attraction," he said. "Every year in October, Fazbear employees would set up the haunted house for kids. One room was build as a safety precaution in case anything happened, like the props collapsing or a fire starting," he said.
"How often was that a worry?" The boy asked.
"More than I care to say," his friend answered. "There were a few times the monster animatronics caught fire due to either faulty wiring or someone pouring drinks on them from being startled by the jumpscare."
Gregory was surprised. "And they never thought to make sure you guys were working okay?" He asked.
"I guess they didn't."
The bear animatronic set the boy down and happened to see a open safe in the wall. He went over to it and found a scrap piece of paper. "Gregory, look at this," he said.
The boy came over and noticed Sun and Moon's names on the paper and what looked to be an address. "What is it?" He asked.
"It's for an address in California," Freddy said. "I think Sun and Moon might have gone there, which means they are still alive."
Just then, they heard a familiar giggle that made Gregory's eyes widen and he clung to Freddy. "Freddy, it's her!" He said fearfully.
"Vanny," Freddy said, a growl in his voice as he opened his stomach hatch. "Jump inside, Gregory. We're getting out of here."
The boy didn't hesitate to do as he was told and Freddy escaped the building ruins, pausing to look and see the Vanny was indeed alive and she was climbing out of the ruins. The bear kept going, finding an eighteen-wheeler stopped on the side of the road with the doors open and the animatronic jumped inside without hesitation. A moment later, the truck driver, not seeing them, closed the doors. "Alright, I get this load to San Diego, California, boss," the man said.
"Drive safe," said a second voice before moments later, the truck was on its way. Freddy checked the maps through the surrounding internet nearby and was pleased to see Staybrook, California was only a few hours away from San Diego.
"We're in luck, Gregory," he said to the boy. "We're headed for California right now."
"Hope it's not a long journey," the boy said before yawning.
Freddy opened his stomach hatch so that the boy could get out and sit in his lap. Gregory leaned his head on his friend's shoulder as the bear held him protectively and the boy fell sound asleep. The bear went into rest mode himself to conserve his battery.
Sometime the next morning, the truck came to a stop, the sound of its air brakes jostling Freddy and Gregory awake. The boy scrambled to stand up to allow the bear animatronic to stand up as well. The back doors opened, but the driver didn't look inside the trailer. "Should all be there," the driver said.
"Come on," said another voice the two didn't recognize. "Let Sam unload it. I'll treat you to some breakfast, old friend."
As the two voices drifted away with their footsteps, Gregory and Freddy climbed out of the trailer. "Freddy, how is your battery?" The boy asked.
"I'm at fifty percent," he replied. "If all goes well, I should have enough to get us to the address we saw."
"Hope Vanny didn't see it," Gregory said as they headed away from the truck stop where the truck had stopped, keeping out of sight and soon making it to a forest nearby. Freddy checked the maps and nodded.
"Staybrook is only an hour away from here," he said.
"Okay, but how are we going to get there?" The boy asked. "Walking that far will take longer than an hour and your battery won't last for that long."
"Perhaps we can get a ride from someone," Freddy suggested.
"We better not," Gregory said. "Someone bad could pick us up."
The bear nodded, understanding the boy's hesitation. "You're right," he said. "We should at least try to find another truck like the one that brought us here."
As they were walking, they came to a spot where some people in strange suits were walking around. The two stayed hidden as the people were speaking. "All clear, Magister Blonko," said one of them.
"There is no trace of the meteorite left around here?" A strange person who looked like a tiger or panther asked. He wore a blue and white suit that looked like armor.
"No trace," said another person, one that was obviously human. "We got all of it. Until we can identify all the substances we found on it, it's best to keep it contained. Don't want to unleash a virus or something worse."
"Agreed," the tiger-like person said. "Well done. I'll report our findings to Magister Tennyson."
"I can do that, Magister Blonko," said another being, one that looked like a fish. "You've been eager to get home to your lady. We can take care of the reports."
"Are you sure?" The Magister asked, a bit uncertain.
"Go on, sir," said a female voice, coming from an alien that looked partially like an octopus. She smiled. "We've got this."
The Magister smiled. "Alright," he said. "Good job today, everyone."
With that, he went to his vehicle and paused, pulling out a phone and pressing a number before hitting the call button. A moment later, he smiled as someone picked up the other end.
"Hello?" Came a voice he loved to hear as he put the call to a video call and the other person's face showed up on screen.
"My love," he said happily.
"Rook," Rachel replied, smiling. "How are you, Honey?"
"I'm good," he replied. "We just finished up."
"That's wonderful," Rachel said. "How far from Staybrook are you?"
"Just an hour," Rook said. "By flight, it'll be twenty minutes."
The young woman giggled. "If I were you, I'd fly," she said before a teasing look came to her face. "You don't want to keep a lady waiting after all, do you, Handsome?"
"Certainly not, my love," he said, knowing she was only messing with him. "I'll see you soon. I love you."
"I love you too, Handsome."
Smiling, he hung up the call and sighed, opening the back of his truck and putting some things away. His sharp ears picked up that someone was approaching and he turned quickly, his hand reaching for his Proto-Tool as he faced the ones coming up to him. He was shocked to see a large robot bear and in his arms was a child that was a bit younger than Rook's oldest daughter. The bear held up one hand in a placating gesture, to which Rook slowly nodded and relaxed his stance a little. "Can I help you?" He asked.
"We apologize for bothering you, but we overheard you say you were going to Staybrook, California," the bear said. "My friend and I need to get there urgently."
"Why?" Rook asked, sensing no lies from the robot, who seemed to be a bit more sentient than a regular robot.
The boy lifted up his head. "We need to get away from her," he said, his voice filled with some fear.
Rook had heard that fearful tone many times from his nieces and nephews and he could tell the boy wasn't lying. "Someone is after you?" He asked.
The boy nodded. "She made the others come after us," he said. "She didn't get to Freddy, but she got to Chica, Roxy, Monty, and Moon."
The Revonnahgander blinked at the last name. "Did you say...Moon?" He asked.
"Yes," the bear animatronic, who Rook assumed was Freddy, replied. "He's a good friend of mine. He has clothing and a nightcap like a starry night sky. He was in charge of naptime at the Pizzaplex Daycare."
Rook pulled up a picture of his family and found a recent one with Rachel and Moon where Moon had been carrying Rachel to bed after finding her sound asleep in the living room as the young woman had fallen asleep while reading a book. "Does your friend look like this?" He asked, showing the two the picture.
"Yes!" Freddy said in relief.
Gregory looked a bit worried. "He's not acting weird, is he?" He asked. "Like as if he's infected with the virus?"
"No," Rook said. "What virus are you speaking of?"
"There's a rabbit person named Vanny who infected our friends, save for the Daycare person, Sun, with a horrible virus that turned them against us," Freddy explained. "Gregory managed to free our friends, but as we were leaving the burned-down Pizzaplex, we heard Vanny again."
"I'm sure I heard her," the boy replied, clinging to the bear.
Rook made up his mind. "Hop in," he said, gesturing the bear to hop into the back of the truck.
Freddy wasted no time, first setting Gregory into the truck before climbing in himself. Rook closed the doors and nodded. "Alright, grab a seat and strap yourself in," the Revonnahgander said. "We're getting you two to the Grant Mansion."
"The Grant Mansion?" Gregory asked.
"That's where Sun, Moon, Eclipse, and DJ Music Man are," Rook replied. "My name is Rook and my lovely bride-to-be owns the Grant Mansion and she is also Sun, Moon, Eclipse, and DJ's handler, along with her sister."
"Their handler?" Freddy asked.
Rook nodded. "My father-in-law had purchased the four animatronics and put Rachel and Sasha's names as the new owners in the event of his death," he explained. "Fazbear Corporation was going to have them scrapped after the fire, but they didn't count on one of our enemies kidnapping my daughter and the four animatronics finding her and keeping her safe until Rachel and I arrived."
Gregory looked confused. "I didn't think anyone but Freddy survived the fire," he said.
Just then, his Fazwatch beeped and he clicked on it and froze as Vanny's familiar voice sounded out from the device.
"We're coming for you, little boy," the rabbit said in a voice that would startle even an adult. The picture zoomed out to show Chica, Roxy, and Monty with Vanny and the rabbit giggled maniacally.
Freddy looked upset. "She still has our friends," he said.
Rook looked at Gregory. "May I see your device?" He asked.
The boy nodded and took off the watch, giving it to the alien, who took it and glared at the rabbit looking back at him. "I'm guessing you're the one after my brother and son," he growled, making Freddy and Gregory look at him in shock. "I'll warn you once. Free the three under your spell and leave them and the rest of my family alone, or you will regret it."
The rabbit giggled. "Oooooh, trying to scare me?" She taunted. "Nice try."
Rook growled before throwing the watch out the window and putting the truck in plane mode. "Hold on," he said to his passengers before the plane flew rapidly towards Staybrook.
Their arrival moments later surprised everyone and Rachel came out with Sun beside her and Gregory jumped out of the Proto-Truck. "Sun!" He said, running up to the animatronic.
"What in the world?" Sun asked, instinctively catching the child as he ran up to him.
"Is Moon okay? Vanny's back and she's got the others!"
The rapid-fire words made the other blink. "What?" He asked.
Rachel decided to step in then. "Hey, calm down, mijo," she said gently. "Take some deep breaths."
The boy did and she nodded. "Now, what's this about Moon being okay and who is Vanny and the others she has?"
At the young woman's questions, the boy was quiet for a moment, but then Moon's voice came from behind Rachel, making her turn to see him. "Vanny is...a follower of a horrible person," Moon explained. "She made sure the virus hit me, Chica, Roxy, and Monty. Sun and Freddy were both spared, for some reason."
"A virus? Like a computer virus?" Rachel asked.
"In a way," he replied. "It was more like a glitch, one that caused us to become hostile towards kids and adults."
"Because of the virus, our friends were looking to capture Gregory and bring him to Vanny, who is not a good person," Freddy said.
Sun was still holding the boy, now rubbing his back to comfort him. "Gregory...are you absolutely sure Vanny is back?" He asked. "Did you see her?"
"Yes," the boy said, his voice shaky. "On my Fazwatch."
He then turned to Rook. "Rook?" He asked, making the alien turn to him. "You called me your son and Freddy your brother when you were talking to Vanny. Why?"
At the boy's question, the alien smiled. "Two reasons," he said. "First, to send a warning to Vanny that if she tries to come here, she will face a protective family and also, because it's true."
Rachel smiled. "What my husband-to-be is saying is that we knew about you, Gregory," she said. "Sun and Moon told us about you and how you were a lost child with no home, so Rook and I decided that if we by chance met you, we'd take you in and adopt you as our son."
Gregory looked up at Sun and Moon, who both smiled. "After I was freed from the virus, I did some research to try and find your family, starlight," he said. "That's when I found out you had been abandoned by your foster family."
The boy looked away, his face sad. Sun gently turned the boy's face to look back at them. "Your family abandoned you, sunshine?" He asked in shock.
"Foster family," the boy said, putting emphasis on the 'foster' part. "The foster homes I was sent to weren't nice to me."
"Not any of them?" Rachel asked in shock. She knew that no kid chose to be in foster care, but not all the foster care families were bad. Some were good, but the ones that weren't good gave the good ones a bad reputation. She and Rook had fostered one of their nieces until she had been adopted and they had done their best for her and she was now a happy girl in the Grant Mansion family.
The boy shook his head and the young woman felt her heart go out to the boy before she set her jaw and took a deep breath. "Alright," she said, her voice going firm. "Let's focus on the Vanny problem before anything else, because from the message received, she and the others are coming."
"Yes," Freddy said before looking upset. "She may have already heard we are here if she hacked the Fazwatch."
"Then she'll know to look for this place," Sun said, sounding a bit worried.
Gregory clung to him and Moon noticed. "Don't worry, starlight. We won't let her get to you," he promised.
"What about the others?" The boy asked. "Chica, Roxy, and Monty?"
"We're going to help them," Rachel said firmly. "Let those three and Vanny come. We'll free the others and take care of Vanny at the same time."
"My love?" Rook asked curiously.
She looked at him. "Please put the Mansion on Level 6 Lockdown, Honey. We're going to need Brainstorm, Grey Matter, Frankenstrike, and Upgrade on board for this mission," she said. "Wouldn't hurt to have Ghostfreak on board too."
He nodded. "Everyone, get inside," he said. "Once the Lockdown is in place, no one leaves until the virus is truly gone."
"How are you going to fight a virus with a lockdown?" Freddy asked.
Moon smiled. "The Grant Mansion has a state-of-the-art security system and measures that many think isn't possible," he said.
"Because our family protects each other fiercely. Many of us escaped bad home lives or people that hurt us. Though some of those people have tried to come back, they've face protective family members and have been defeated," Rachel said before looking at Gregory and brushing a hand gently over his head, making him look at her. "Vanny isn't going to get to you, mijo. She will face me, your very protective mother, if she tries to."
The boy blinked, Rachel's firm voice telling him that she meant every word. She considered him to be her son and would protect him. The quarter then dropped in the slot. "You and Rook are together?" He asked.
She smiled and nodded. "Yes," she said as Rook came up to her and smiled at the boy.
"Gregory, you don't have to face Vanny. We can ask another family member to help you hide safely in the Mansion," the alien offered.
Freddy nodded. "I agree with him, Gregory. I know you faced Vanny before, but that was when it was just you and me. You don't have to face her now if you don't want to."
The boy was quiet for a bit before looking at Rachel and Rook. "But I know more about the animatronics than you guys," he pointed out. "I've battled them before. You guys haven't."
"Touché," Rachel said, seeing the boy was right. "Alright, son, but you stick close to one of us at all times until we take care of Vanny. I don't want her to try and use you as leverage against us."
"Okay," Gregory said.
"He can hide in my stomach hatch if Vanny gets too close," Freddy offered, opening his stomach hatch to show them.
"So that's how you got past the others before," Moon said with a nod. "A bit dangerous perhaps, but clever."
"It was all I could think of when trying to get away from the security guard," the boy said before falling into thought. "You know, I don't recall seeing her when Freddy and I went to stop Vanny the first time."
Moon stood straighter and did a quick search, looking puzzled. "She's still alive, but...her file seems corrupted," he said.
Just then, Rachel's phone rang and she answered it, nodding and thanking the person before signing off. "I think our unwanted guest has arrived in town," she said. "The local police force has the town on lockdown to keep everyone safe."
"Then let's send her a signal," Rook said, going down to the gate and sending out a signal since the dome of cyber protection ended just a bit beyond the wrought-iron gate. He came back and they all went inside, Rook putting the mansion on Level 6 Lockdown and Rachel calling the aliens she had mentioned earlier. When they heard what was going on, they were on board to help. Even Eclipse and DJ Music Man were on board, DJ promising to protect Gregory and Eclipse deeming himself to be their bodyguard.
It wasn't long before the security cameras showed the three animatronics and the rabbit coming towards the gate. "Get ready," Brainstorm said. "Here they come."
Vanny and the animatronics entered the dome of cyber protection and Upgrade moved in. He first merged with Chica, doing so quietly and pulling her back from the others, finding the virus and isolating it into a flashdrive. Once it was fully downloaded, he unmerged from Chica, who blinked and looked around in confusion before he motioned her to be quiet and follow him.
Frankenstrike then moved in, swiftly grabbing Monty and delivering a small EMP pulse that knocked the gator out and didn't alert Vanny or Roxy, who were getting closer to the house. Working fast, the scientist managed to isolate the virus and also put it in a flashdrive, downloading it and saving Monty, who looked confused before Frankenstrike motioned him not to say a word and he scooped up the Gator, who was missing his lower half, and carrying him to the house away from Vanny.
Grey Matter moved in, landing lightly on Roxy's shoulder. She didn't notice him as he began quickly downloading the virus into a third flashdrive, isolating it and freeing Roxy. "Hey! What happened?!" The wolf said as soon as she was free.
Vanny turned around and was shocked to see Roxy was the only one behind her. "What?!" She exclaimed.
"Now, Ghostfreak!" A voice called out.
Vanny felt something grab her and she struggled when she saw it was something black and white. "Let go!" She demanded.
Ghostfreak realized something with horror. "Rachel, Vanny isn't an animatronic! There's a young woman in here!" He said. "But she's not in control!"
"Get her out!" Rachel called out.
The alien ghost quickly phased his hands through the suit, grabbing the young woman inside by her sides and with a firm yank, he pulled her out of the suit, which collapsed as if it was just like a Halloween costume without an owner.
He looked at the young woman and her eyes were a pinkish purple and she was fighting. "Let me go!" She demanded.
Upgrade came up to them and he saw the problem. "She's being mind-controlled!" He said. "Frankenstrike!"
"Coming!" The alien scientist said, running towards them. "Restrain her, but don't hurt her!"
Gregory gasped as he saw who Ghostfreak and Upgrade were restraining. "That's the security guard I saw!" He said.
"Vanessa?" Freddy asked in disbelief. "She was Vanny the whole time?"
"Not of her own free will, from the sounds of it," Rachel said.
Frankenstrike found the issue. "There's a microchip by her ear," he said. "It looks like it might be embedded a bit into her skin."
"Can you get it out?" Ghostfreak asked.
"I'll do my best."
Vanessa continued to scream, but couldn't get free as Frankenstrike managed to carefully extract the chip, which thankfully had only embedded itself just under the first layer of skin. After it was removed, Vanessa went still and Frankenstrike carefully bandaged the wound. "Okay, you can let her up," he said.
Upgrade and Ghostfreak let the young woman go and her arms and legs flopped down as if she didn't have any strength. She opened her eyes slowly. "Wh-What?" She managed to croak out.
"Shh," Ghostfreak cooed gently. "You're safe now. We've got you."
"Let's get her to my lab," Frankenstrike said. "We'll need to monitor her to make sure that whoever was controlling her isn't able to do so again. Also to make sure she had no internal injuries."
Upgrade scooped Vanessa up into his arms, cradling her like a parent would a child as the others parted to let them pass. Gregory looked at Vanessa, who was barely awake at the moment. "Is she...going to be okay?" He asked.
"We're going to make sure of it, son," Rook said reassuringly.
A few days later...
Vanessa opened her eyes, squinting a little as light hit her eyes and she let out a groan. "Easy now," said a voice she didn't recognize and she bolted upright, looking around in fear. Hands grabbed her shoulders and she let out a scream, about to fight off whoever grabbed her when hands grabbed her wrists to stop her.
"Vanessa, easy now," came a voice that sounded rough, but with a Cajun accent.
She looked up to see Monty looking back at her. "Mon-Montgomery?" She asked, her voice breaking a bit.
"And all of us," said another voice as Roxy came into view, along with Chica.
Vanessa took a deep breath and looked around, seeing Freddy, Sun, and Moon, along with DJ and another bot she didn't know about standing around her, along with some other people she didn't recognize. A young woman stepped up to her, offering her a glass of water. Vanessa accepted it gratefully, drinking the whole glass before taking some deep breaths and looking around at them all before she grew confused and reached up, feeling her head and then feeling a bandage by her left ear.
"You were being controlled by someone," said the first voice and she looked to see a big scarred man was speaking. "I managed to remove the chip that was behind your ear and patched up the wound. Do you feel any pain?"
"N-No," she said, her voice getting a bit stronger now. "I...I don't have a headache anymore."
She looked around. "What happened?" She asked. "Last I remember, I was looking for a lost kid."
"It was the virus," Moon replied. "The creator of it was controlling you and you uploaded the virus into most of us, though Freddy managed to fight it off, as did Sun."
"But the rest of us weren't that lucky," Roxy said before biting her lip and looking at Gregory, who shrank into Sun's arms, and the wolf looked miserable at that.
"We're supposed to be good and safe around the kids, but...the virus made us into monsters," Chica said sadly.
Monty looked very upset. "I doubt we'll ever have fans again after that," he said. He knew he didn't have many fans, but it still stung that he had been taken over by a virus and now was most likely viewed as a monster.
"Well, it's a good thing I have a good lawyer," said the young woman who was standing beside Vanessa.
"What do you mean?" Vanessa asked. "And...not to be rude, but...who are you?"
"My name is Rachel Jocklin and you and the others are in the Grant Mansion," Rachel explained.
"Rachel Jocklin?" The former security guard said in confusion. "Wait...I heard that name before. Something about...being the owners of Sun, Moon, Eclipse, and DJ."
"Technically, my sister and I own them on paper. But they're family members to us," the owner of the Grant Mansion said.
"Yes," Sasha said as she came in, Whampire beside her. "And we found out who was controlling her."
"It was someone wanting to keep someone's memory alive. Someone named Afton," Whampire said. "They put a mind-controlling chip on Vanessa and made her upload a special virus into the animatronics. The virus upload is what caused Freddy to crash during the concert, his systems shutting down in full lockdown prevented the virus from taking him over."
"The others, save for Sun, weren't as fortunate," Sasha said gently. "But thankfully, the virus is gone. Plumber HQ has destroyed it efficiently."
"Which means all the animatronics and you are free, Vanessa," Gregory said.
The young woman looked a bit overwhelmed and Sun went up to her, giving her a hug.
That was it. Vanessa burst into tears, hugging the sun-themed animatronic back. Each of the animatronics stepped forward and hugged her, to which more tears fell. Gregory, who had been wary of her, hugged her too.
Frankenstrike nodded. "Vanessa, I suggest taking it easy for a week," he said. "We have a room ready for you and if you need anything, just ask."
Rachel nodded and the former security guard nodded too. "T-Thank you," she said. "Not sure if I deserve all this, but thank you all the same."
Sasha gently hugged Vanessa. "If you want, we can help you find a therapist to talk to," she said. "But only if you want to."
Vanessa nodded gratefully, glad they were willing to help and not push her to talk about what happened right away.
A week passed and Frankenstrike gave her a clean bill of health. She had been lately talking to him about what happened and he listened. She was slowly getting better, sleeping better thanks to Chromastone and Sugilite giving her soothing crystals to help ease her nightmares and the other aliens helped in any way they could, be it offering comfort or listening when she spoke.
By the time a month had passed, Vanessa felt a lot better and was now looking for work. Sun and Moon suggested she apply at the daycare in the city just fifteen minutes away from Staybrook. She had at first protested because she felt her reputation after what happened would make parents wary of her being around the kids, but the two pointed out how they noticed how she looked after the kids at the Mansion. Some were still babies and the babies had gone up to Vanessa, falling asleep beside her for a nap and she did keep an eye on the kids when they were playing in the yard or just around the house. A few of the kids had even roped her into playing hide-and-seek or board games.
As she was debating, Rachel came in holding one of her baby nephews and she smiled, placing the baby boy gently into Vanessa's arms. The former security guard was unsure, but her arms instinctively held the child in a protective, yet gentle, hold and the baby rested his head against her shoulder, not crying but rather settling down for a nap, which surprised her.
"He was being really fussy about taking a nap," Rachel explained before smiling again. "Guess he wanted Aunty Vanessa to hold him."
That sealed it and Vanessa applied to the daycare, getting hired the next day, to her surprise. The owner explained how Rachel had personally contacted him and had spoken highly of Vanessa. Even Rachel's uncles had called him and the owner admired the Jocklin brothers, so he knew they wouldn't mislead him on hiring someone.
Another month passed and Vanessa was not only enjoying her job, but the aliens and humans at the Mansion had officially made her a member of the family and Rachel and Rook had officially adopted Gregory, fighting the courts on that one, but with some help from the Celestialsapiens in the family, Gregory's adoption was finalized. The boy took to calling his new parents 'Mom' and 'Dad', but he also saw Freddy as a father and settled on calling the bear 'Papa', which the bear didn't mind and Rook didn't mind either, stating that the bear had kept Gregory safe during the time the Pizzaplex was in danger.
"It wouldn't be right to make Gregory chose to have only one dad," the Revonnahgander said.
"Besides, what's wrong with having two dads who love you?" Rachel said. "One of my nephews has two fathers, one from birth and his adoptive father and they both love him, along with his mom. Even some of my nieces have two fathers and one mom. Even Sasha and I essentially had two fathers growing up."
"Really?" Gregory asked in surprise.
"Yes," his new mom said with a smile. "Our adoptive Dad and our uncle who was the oldest of his brothers. He took on a fatherly role for me and your Aunt Sasha after our dad passed away."
Gregory was happy with that and he now giggled as Eclipse lifted him up high into the air. "And if anyone makes fun of you for it, Uncle Eclipse will give them a good scare," the animatronic promised, his voice taking a protective note.
Rachel chuckled at that. "We all will," she said.
Vanessa couldn't help the smile on her face as she realized the security in this family's arms came from love, protection, and true loyalty.
She wouldn't trade it for anything. And she doubted Gregory or the animatronics would either.
Holy cow, this one took off on me. :)
So the animatronics have been saved and are now a part of the family, which means we'll have more stories with them in the future. :)
Please leave a review, but no flames! Also, stay safe on Halloween night. :)
