Kate and Sophie intended to only visit the vineyards and stay to see the sunset while in Santorini, but after Sophie conducted a more indepth google search after their graduation, she added a few more sites to view on their itinerary. The first stop was scheduled at 10am, they were going to see castles.

Apparently Santorini has five castles, the castle of Pyrgos, castle and tower of Emporio, Skaros, castle of Agios Nikolaos in Oia, and castle of Akrotiri. Eventually they came to the agreement that they were not going to visit every castle because if they were to, the couple would have to wake up at 6am. And as Kate put it "I don't think either of us would be able to properly enjoy the day on the amount of rest you're giving both of us tonight by setting a 6am alarm and wearing that bikini." she said as she pointed to the new, dark, limited, polyester fabric.

To Kate's credit that comment did set the mood for Sophie to flirt back "well if it is going to be such a big problem for you, maybe I should just take it off."

"Nooo, don't change, this whole trip is about us doing what we want, because there is no one to say we can't. And I know for a fact that some people will say you can't wear that." She sighed. "I'm sorry, I know sometimes with some people you can't … we can't tune out what they say about us. But for the love of God woman, please don't change." She softly laughed then turned it into a smile, then into a look of confusion when she saw Sophie standing just outside of the door frame that went from the deck to their room.

Sophie smirked seeing the confusion plastered across her girlfriends face, and looked at her with a devilish glint in her eyes that Kate didn't register until she heard her beloved say "I never said I planned to change out of my swimsuit into something people would I don't know, approve of." She paused as she made her voice more quiet despite both Donti, and Mr. Lain were nowhere around. "I said 'maybe I should just take it off.'"

With that Kate choked on the Pina Colada she was sipping, and followed Sophie into their bedroom eagerly.

They decided to visit the castle of Skaros first. Of course if they are going to visit Santorini they must visit Skaros, the symbol of Santorini. Not only is the castle of extreme historical significance it also provides the best view of the, also extremely historic, volcano of Santorini.

Sophie read all this information to her girlfriend to make her case about why they needed to visit Skaros. "The tour of Skaros Rock starts in Imerovigli and the church of Agios Georgios (Saint George). Just a few meters from this church there is a path leading to Skaros, or more precisely, a wide cement staircase. After a few minutes you reach the chapel of Agios Ioannis Apokefalistheis. On the way to the top of the mountain, you can see the remains of buildings and cave houses." She read, trying her best not to sound robotic while paraphrasing from the website. "There is no trail leading to the top of Skaros Rock, but" she paused for dramatic effect while emphasizing the last word "some of the more fit hikers" a.k.a us, we have our diplomas to prove it "climb it anyway". "Blah, blah, blah, 'second chapel'? Anway, blah, blah, 'Such a trip to Skaros lasts about 1,5-2 h. It is worth remembering to take appropriate sports shoes, headgear, sunscreen and something to drink.'"

"Any chance that that 'something to drink' can be something we pick up after or while we visit one of the vineyards?" Kate asked, already knowing the answer.

"Kate, you know that I love you, right?" Sophie asked with a hint of practiced concern that Kate couldn't see past and call bullshit on.

"Yeah Sophie, I know, and-and I love you too, so.. So much." Kate replied, staring into her eyes, wondering, fearing, what was to happen next.

"Okay, then you know I would let you drink at eleven o-clock in the morning." She saw her facade breaking and morphing into a smirk.

"Okay, but we'll go to it later, right?" Kate said as she let the feelings of worry, and fear dissolve in her body. Hoping that Sophie would never have to find out how scared she was in-between Sophie's question, and her response.

"Right" Sophie responded, none the wiser of the effect she just had on Kate.

After they descended down the trail, Kate checked her digital watch. It was currently 12:47, Sophie then asked her for the time, "It's 12:47" Kate responded with a smile. "You wanna get some lunch?"

"Yeah, lunch sounds really good right about now." Sophie responded before her stomach could.

"Okay great" she said while simultaneously pulling out a map from her back right jeans pocket. "There's a winery, about 0.7 miles, south east from here." Sophie looked at her unamused. "What, it's past eleven?" At that they both broke out laughing.

Their day in Santorini ended with their last event at 7:28pm at the PK cocktail bar that overlooked the harbor, giving its customers the perfect view to watch the sun set.

While in the process of ordering their drinks, almost sensing she was a torrest the bartender asked "here for the sunset, or the overpriced alcohol?" Kate just let out a small laugh and smiled at the man.

"Little bit of both, I'm here for the alcohol, my girl, for the sunet." Kate responded, it felt good to call Sophie, her girl.

"Ah, I see. Wedding or Proposal?" The bartender asked nonchalantly.

"One more time?" Kate felt her voice crack.

"Well tourists only really bring their 'girl' to Santorini to watch the sunset for one of three reasons. Tie the knot, pop the question, and you seem too young to have a mistress so I skipped that one." The bartender sensing Kate's discomfort changed the topic, "You know we actually do have two sunset inspired cocktails. One is called essence of spring, and the other is dusk and sky. They're combinations of what you and your girl came here for."

"I'll take two dusk and skies thank you. And the second one."

"Dusk and sky was the second cocktail."

"No, I meant the second thing you asked. Proposal. To pop the question."
