Cozy

"It feels like it's been forever since we've last seen each other," Porco Galliard said, standing up from the chair he was sitting on, sneaking a gaze at his girlfriend, Pieck Finger, laying on the hospital bed next to the desk he was sitting on. Porco couldn't help but smile at seeing Pieck's long and messy black hair sprawled about over the white covers of the mattress before walking to the door, and turning the lock.

"Really? Even though we've spent so much time together on missions," Pieck responded before looking up at Porco, who had sat down on the mattress next to her before immediately laying down next to her. Without much provocation, Porco grabbed Pieck by the cheek and pulled her into a passionate kiss, one full of the lust of a man who hadn't seen his girlfriend's human form in months. Pieck quickly returned the kiss, grabbing a handful of Porco's hair as she pushed herself up so that she could have better balance. After almost a minute of kissing, Porco and Pieck fell back into a laying position on the bed, with both of their heads landing on the pillow.

"At least we don't have to worry about missions for a long while," Porco whispered breathlessly in Pieck's ear while grabbing onto her waist with his arms. Pieck responded to Porco's gentle touch by nuzzling the side of her head into Porco's chest. After another moment of trying to formulate a possible response, Pieck's mind went through the fact that she and Porco only had a limited amount of time to live, and that time was getting closer and closer every day. It was the reason that she hadn't seen her father look happy in years, but maybe for one day, Pieck could forget about this and just enjoy the time she had with Porco.

"Let's hope," Pieck mumbled out, a small smile curling on her lips. Porco started running a hand through Pieck's messy hair, his fingers occasionally getting stuck in a knot in Pieck's hair as the two of them took advantage of every second they had together. They knew it was only a matter of time before they had to go back to being Marley's dogs of war, but they didn't know that 'only a matter of time' meant 'tomorrow'.
