Chapter one:

The four have finished with an enemy, to which Donnie and Mikey are out to put the bad guy where the police can pick him.

Leo and Raph are making sure that the machine is indeed broken badly. They back off from what now looks like scraps littered around.

"Good job." Leo turns to Raph sharing a smile with him.

The two turn away letting their smiles drop swearing that they sensed something. They look to the wall where they swore whatever affected the feeling of the air came from. They glance away when Donnie and Mikey come back.

A set of sparks start in the middle of the wall then a portal opens with a suction; that only reaches to where Leo is with Raph just outside of its reach. The portal showing what looks to be a dried up barren wasteland with dead plants.

Leo tries to resist the pull of the portal but it's too strong. He lets out a cry as he is knocked backwards off his feet.

"Leo!" Raph hurries forward grabbing ahold of Leo. He finds the suction is too strong even for him, and he gets pulled through the portal along with Leo.

The last thing they hear is Donnie and Mikey calling their names, then the portal closes as Leo and Raph land on the hard ground.

Leo sits up and looks around. He hears Raph sit up after a groan.

They seem to be alone in this dead looking land. They notice that the sky seems to be at the point where the sun is just barely peeking the horizon. They whip their heads around hearing loud cracking and a rumble.

The ground not too far behind them starts to crumble and fall.

The two hurry to their feet and try to run away from the crumbling land. They swear that the crumbling is following them as they keep running.

Leo lets out a yelp as the ground beneath him falls apart. He finds himself falling as he tries to grab onto anything. He finds his hand grabs onto something and his eyes meet with Raphs.

Raph has grabbed onto a dead tree, as the ground doesn't seem to be crumbling anymore. "Hold on!" He calls to Leo who is hanging in the air not falling only thanks to Raph holding his hand. He moves back pulling Leo to safety.

The two fall to the ground panting slightly, trying to calm their racing hearts from what just happened. They are glad that the ground is no longer crumbling away.

Leo shifts to his hands and knees. He moves over and peers over the edge to see just darkness down there. He moves away feeling unsettled that he almost fell down there. He gets to his feet as does Raph. "Thanks for saving my life."

"Yeah yeah. Now let's try to figure out where we are." Raph turns away and takes the lead as Leo follows.

The place just feels cold and empty... Dead...

Leo instinctively moves closer to Raph as they walk through the land. He notices that some more dead trees are are appearing.

The two stop when they hear a voice shouting somewhere up ahead. They can't make out what the voice is saying though.

"I'm not sure if we should go towards it." Raph mentions to Leo gazing ahead with a suspicious look. "We're not back home. We don't know what or who is out here. But whoever lives here is surely not right in the head. Just look around at this place. Only crazies would survive here."

"We can move forward but be cautious. If needed we'll turn right or left. I agree we need to be cautious about whoever could be here." Leo tells Raph after glancing around. "I'm not sure how far in either direction we can go before we might find crumbling ground."

Raph nods so together they move forward remaining cautious. He notices both of them are alert in case they need to hide or run.

As they walk in the direction of the shouting it grows more clear... And more familiar... They freeze for a moment as they barely make out the shouts.

"Somebody help! Please!" A voice sounding all too much like Mikey's is calling out sounding terrified and panicked. He continues shouting for help as if hoping someone will hear him.

Leo and Raph turn meeting each other's eyes, silently promising to stop when closer to check it out before helping, then hurry in the direction. They find that it is more to the right though still ahead from where they were. They take a good turn to the right getting closer and closer to the source. They skid to a stop by a tree and peek out to make sure that it's safe. They gasp spotting their brother, or at least someone who looks like their brother, Mikey dangling off of the edge clinging to a large rock. They hurry out and each grab one of Mikeys arms to which he lets go of the rock. They pull him up to safety avoiding the rock and let him go when he is safe.

"Thanks for saving me!" Michelangelo mentions then when he glances to them only to pause.

"Is something wrong?" Leo questions blinking at Michelangelo.

"Leo? Raph? But you guys ran off." Michelangelo mentions confusing Leo and Raph. He is sitting on his knees watching the two glance to each other.

"Ran off? What are you talking about? We were pulled here after defeating an enemy." Raph points out confusing Michelangelo.

Leo blinks as an idea comes to him. "Wait." He gains the attention of the other two. "What if we're both right? Raph. Remember when Donnie was talking about the multiverse?" His words seem to spark Raphs mind onto the same thought he's having.

"So what you're saying is that we're from one world and this Michelangelo here is from another." Raph realizes to which Leo nods. He knows it makes sense since they were pulled through a portal to this unknown place.

"I think I understand." Michelangelo gets up to his feet. "I mean that's why our memories are different. Like I was making popcorn for me and Donnies movie night when I got pulled into here. And you two have a different set of events."

"But why would this world pull in some of us from two different worlds?" Raph questions as they all seem unsure of the answer.

Leo glances to the edge that Michelangelo had been hanging off. "I don't know. But we shouldn't hang around here too long."

The other two turn to the edge where Michelangelo had been just in time to see a little crumble off.

The rock falling with the ground into the dark abyss.

The two nod in agreement with Leo, and follow him away from being anywhere near the edge.

The three sit down by one of the dead trees to talk a little.

"What if others from other worlds have been pulled into here?" Michelangelo questions glancing between Raph and Leo.

"Maybe we'll meet whoever else got pulled into here." Raph shrugs his shoulders and looks with a serious look. "What we need to focus on is how do we get out here? And maybe back to our own worlds." He points out and Leo nods his head.

"I agree." Leo speaks gaining the twos attention. "We have to figure it out soon too. It appears that this place is falling apart. We don't even know how big this place is. Or how fast it is crumbling. I am sure we can do this though. We have to believe." He sees the two perk up a little at his words. He wanted to perk them up even though he isn't sure what will end up happening.

"Which way do we go?" Michelangelo brings up and the three glance around to try to figure it out.

"I guess we pick a direction and hope for the best." Raph guesses so the three get up to their feet.

Leo takes the lead to which the other two follow. He notices the two walk with one on either side of him. He glances to Michelangelo who is looking at him with sparkling eyes.

"So. What is your world like?" Michelangelo asks of Leo sounding rather curious.

"Oh. Well." Leo turns to face where they're going. "We live under New York. Everyone is still there. We don't have anyone in our group who ran away. Um im not sure what else could be different between our worlds. Im not really sure about the events in yours. Though id say our worlds are similar since we mistook each other for each other's brothers."

"Huh." Michelangelo turns to look ahead and falls silent for a moment. "Say... You wouldn't really know why my Leo and Raph ran away do you?" His voice timid yet hopeful. "I know I'm probably grasping at straws. They only left notes saying they were leaving. Nothing else."

Leo turns to Raph as their eyes meet and they try to figure out something to say.

Raph decides to speak up first. "Well we can't really say for sure. We don't know the events leading up to it in your world. Maybe there was an event before hand that made them think about it then decide on it." He tells Michelangelo. "It could have even been a lot of things. I will admit I did think about leaving, but in the end I did figure out my place was with those I cared about. I couldn't leave them." He pauses realizing maybe those weren't the right words to say. He sighs to himself. "You know what. Don't ask me. I really have no clue."

"That's okay." Michelangelo assures them. "Thanks for trying at least."

The three walk along in silence as they focus on where they are going... Though none of them seem sure about where they're heading.
