Chapter 3
They had been traveling within the twisted and screwed up version of Whitestone trying to bring Luanda back, they had to kill a few shades to get where they are at now. Watching the sun tree on fire right as well as watching FCG and Orym fall and return to hopefully safety, Made Jax feel kind of sick to his stomach Jax had made sure to stick closely to Imogen something about the girl called out to him. But time was ticking he knew now was the time to bring Luanda back the only damn problem was how?
Watching Ashton rush across the battlefield like a bat out of the nine gates of hell and hand Imogen a potion of healing telling Imogen she is the one that really matters here, is what sparks the plan into motion.
"Ashton! Chetney! On my go we give Imogen and Fearne enough time to end this"
"Jax? You can't be serious . . . What if the three of you?"
"Imogen! Ashton is right you are one of two people that really matter right now"
Jax still feeling whatever energy he has been feeling while being around Imogen reaches down grabbing ahold of the hidden Raven necklace and speaking the words, he has spoken only a few times in his life.
"I AM THE RAGE OF THE TEMPEST!"
As the words leave the mouth of the half elven druid, Imogen watches as he stabs his staff into the ground as two curved blades come out of what can only be described as the eternal plain, as chains and vines wrap around his arms. Watching as Jax, Ashton and Chetney all go rushing forward.
From over his shoulder Jax watches Imogen and Fearne work their magic to destroy the base of the tree. Almost at the same time Jax plunged his blades into the dying image of Delilah all he suddenly sees is a flash of white light before hearing a voice ask a question
"Did it work?"
"I really hope so"
Not really feeling well, as expected after he goes into a tempest rage Jax gets up off the floor readjusting his cloak and going to stand next to Vex. Watching as Vex has an arrow ready and loaded into her bow pointing at Luanda, also watching as Pike wakes Luanda. It had been an eventful evening after leaving Pike's house Percy being the ass hole, he is deciding to have the guards even if they are under Jax command are all drawing weapons on them,
"Really Percy!?"
"Do I have your word Jax that its actually Luanda?"
"Yes you white haired Nutjob it really is Luanda, why don't you just ask your wife and Pike instead of having weapons drawn, Men stand down this instant that's order"
"Vex? Pike? Is it really Luanda?"
"Yes, it's her"
After some conversation the group knowns as Bell's Hells decided to stay in Whitestone for the evening allowing Luanda to decide whether they stayed. As they begin to make their way to the castle Luanda, decided she wanted to see the sun tree. As everyone puts a hand on the tree seemingly in a combine piece it isn't until Jax puts his hand on tree does something happen,
A flash of light at Luanda's veil breaks, Jax sees images of when Vox machina arrived in Whitestone all those years ago. Watching the connection between Keyleth and Vax then the image sifts to the life of Luanda before she was hung . . . Or the moment of the wedding the moment he came back to his family, then he feels the connections of souls willingly going to save Luanda had bound himself to Luanda and Imogen. And breaking the connection could be deadly.
Standing there with her hand upon the giant sun tree in which she had hung on before, she felt the connection between herself, and Imogen grow stronger, but it was at this time she felt another connection to her soul it was that of the quite half elven druid that had willingly gone with her friends to save her. The emotion of love she felt from both became overwhelming but with Jax there was also a feeling of protection, safety and that of being unsure. Now Luanda just hope Imogen could feel it.
Imogen knew the moment the half elven druid decided to come save Luanda the connection had been formed; it was the reason why he stayed so close to her while they dealt with Delilah. Watching Luanda shed her veil sparked something within her, she knew . . . She just knew
