Chapter two:

Donnie tries searching the pile of scraps trying to figure out what might have caused the portal.

"Please say you found something." Mikey pleads hopefully though Donnie sighs shaking his head.

"None of these should even work. They're all dead." Donnie scratches his head trying to figure out where the portal could have come from then.

Mikey glances to the last place they saw their brothers before they were pulled away. He hopes that they are okay.

In the strange world the trio stop as they come across some ruins.

It looks like it was once a town though now it's long abandoned.

The three start to look around trying to see if they can recognize anything. They hope that maybe they can find the turtle lair, or at least some place like it, so they can maybe see if there's a machine that can get them home.

Before this world completely crumbles away... Taking them down with it.

Leo pauses glancing back as he hears a twig snap. He notices the other two turn hearing it as well.

Someone is here.

The three move close holding their weapons as they get ready to fight together.

"Show yourself!" Leo demands calling out to whoever it is. He turns to focus on a figure that lands in the shadow of one of the ruins. He notices the figure stands on two legs and seems to move as if regarding them curiously. He takes a step towards the figure as the other two notice.

The other two also spot the figure in the shadows and move to flank Leo.

The figure suddenly puts its weapons away onto its back then moves out into the light. This figure is a turtle who looks a little smaller than the three. He has some sort of red marks above and below his eyes, and he's wearing a blue Leo like bandana mask. He looks to be like some form of a slightly younger Leo.

The three put their weapons away relaxing at seeing the other.

"Did you get sucked into this world too?" Leo questions the other who nods his head.

"Yeah. We were hanging out with April and the others when a portal took us away." The other Leo explains to them showing confidence the others expect from Leo. Though he seems to have a more childish confidence instead of a leaders confidence.

"Wait. We?" Raph questions and glances around though spotting no one.

"Me and my Raph." The other Leo explains then turns. "Come on. I'll take you to where we're meeting each other." He hurries away not checking if the others are following.

The three hurry after him until they reach one of the larger building of the ruins.

The other Leo, they'll call Leonardo for now, hurries over to the Raphael waiting for him.

Raphael smiles in greeting to his brother. He is much bigger making Leonardo look much more slender in comparison. He turns in surprise at seeing the other three approaching as well.

Leo silently admits that it feels weird seeing a gaze that reminds him more of Mikey on Raph. He isn't used to seeing childishness and some innocence in Raphaels gaze, versus the more hardened gaze of his Raph.

Raph circles Raphael checking out the spikes along his shell, and seems surprised that Raphael looks more bulky compared to him.

"I found them exploring the ruins. They were brought here like we were." Leonardo explains to Raphael causing understanding to fall across the others face.

Leo takes a step forward causing the two newer members of this group turn to him. "Have you two been able to find anything useful here?" He inquires only for the two to shake their heads.

"This place doesn't look at all like home. I couldn't find any sign of anyway underground." Raphael explains then Raph snorts moving back to Leo's side.

"Then again we'd have to be extra careful even if we did have a way to get underground. This world is crumbling, closing in from all sides it seems." Raph sees alarm spark in Raphael and Leonardo's gazes at hearing this. He supposed they are away from an edge so they may not have known this information.

The five turn as they hear the rumble in the distance for a moment before it settles.

"We have to get out of here!" Raphael glances around fearfully trying to figure out where they need to go.

"We need to stay calm." Leo brings the attention to him as he stands tall. His eyes scan the group. "We need to think clearly and the best way to do so is to remain calm. We'll spread out and search the ruins for anything. Together we can expand and take in more area quicker. Then we'll return here and discuss our findings. If this place has nothing then we'll figure out a direction to go off into." He sees the others nod their heads in agreement to this.

So they separate and can put taking in as much of the ruins as they can.

Leo walks into one of the ruins of a home. He sees some metal things pots are left, though that's it. He crouches and checks the ground wondering if there is anything underneath this place. He brushes away some of the dust on the floor spotting something weird. He finds a ring attached to what might be a hatch. He grabs the ring with a finger and opens it. He sees that it is only a box like storage space.

It doesn't go too far underneath the ground. It holds an old photo album looking book, another smaller looking book, a bag of medium sized copper coins Leo doesn't recognize, and a rusted knife with a rotting wooden handle. It's contents are all covered in quite a lot of dust.

Leo picks out the photo album first. He opens it to a random page and sees withered old photos. His gaze goes to one of the first pictures that attracts his attention. He can make out a figure standing in the middle of a dirt street, with buildings that look more like buildings than ruins on either side. He also notes how alive the land looks compared to how it is now. He squints looking closer to the photo then his eyes widen. "Y-Yoshi?" He gasps then settles himself reminding himself that this is another world. He looks at a few more pictures seeing that Yoshi in most of them. He closes the album, he hasn't got the time to check them all. He grabs the other book after putting the album down. He hopes that it is a dairy and maybe he can learn what happened here. He opens its withered pages. He sighs in relief that the words, though faded, can still be read. He begins reading the random page he opened up to.

'Today was a fun day. I went to the dojo and trained my students who were signed up by their parents. I saw great improvement in them. I also got to go out with some friends afterwards. We drank at the most popular bar. Joked and talked. It was wonderful. I'm so glad this place is peaceful. I'm tired so I'll end this entry early.'

Leo turns to a page further in the diary. He hopes that Yoshi will forgive him for reading the diary. He just needs to see if there is any clues to what happened here.

'I'm getting worried. People are disappearing. Like they just fade from existence. One moment their in the living room. The next they're gone. No trace left of them. There is a huge shift in the air. Not just the terror of the humans still here. But also something just feels wrong no matter where I go. The ground is also drying up and the plant life is dying. Animals are falling ill and dying. There's a lot of animals rotting away on the ground. I don't know what's going on. But some scientists have tried to explain it. They think something happened in the balance of our world. Making it begin to die. We can't stop anything that is going on. It's the end of the world. Perhaps something that was keeping this world stable really did vanish. So the world is dying as a result. There's some wondering if we can go to other worlds. To try to be safe. I don't want to bring danger to other worlds. If other worlds exist.'

Leo feels his heart ache a little. "Even here you're worrying more about others than yourself." He mutters to himself. He goes to the last entry needing to be quick. He can't just take as much time as he wants.

'This will probably be my last entry. Almost everyone is gone. The homes are dying and turning to ruins. I didn't think I'd see it with my own eyes. I really don't know what to say. This land looks so dead. I know I'm going to disappear any day now. I hope it is painless. Our world really seems to be falling apart. Everything seems to be just disappearing. Like reality is just falling apart all around. Eventually it's likely this place will no longer exist at all. I don't know why this had to happen. I don't know what else to say really. I guess this is goodbye though. With a heavy heart. Yoshi signing off for the last time.'

Leo closes the dairy. "So. This world just started dying." He can't help wondering what could have caused it. He feels a shiver pass through his body at the thought that what if it could happen to any world. He shakes his head and gets up holding onto the dairy. He'll take it to show the others. He leaves the ruined home to search the ruins more. He finds nothing else useful and heads to their meeting spot.

Michelangelo and Leonardo are already back.

Leo joins them and they wait for the rest.

Raphael and Raph quickly joining them not long later.

"Did anyone find anything?" Leo glances to the group as they shake their heads.

"Looks like you did." Raph nods to the book Leo is holding to which Leo brings it up.

"It's this worlds Yoshis dairy." Leo explains noticing interest spike in the others. "I found it in a storage space in one of the ruins. It seems that this world was fine then suddenly it began to die. People would just vanish and homes turned to ruins." He explains and glances to the dairy. "Though in what I saw I didn't see any mention of Splinter. I didn't check the full thing though. There was a mention of scientists thinking that something from the balance of the world was disturbed. Taking down this world."

"Well at least we know part of what happened here." Leonardo points out and the others nod to this. "But no idea where we could go to get back home." He points out to them.

"It seems like there was no sign of what could have been where the scientists were." Raph brings up. "Should we try to find it? Maybe they tried to work on a machine to travel to other worlds. We could use it if there really is that there."

All of them turn as they hear rumbling growing closer. They watch dust rise as ground crumbles around the edges of the ruins.

Then one of the taller ruins collapses into the dust.

"This way!" Leo commands and they all start running in the opposite direction of the crumbling ground.

They make it out of the town of ruins and create a gap from said ruins. They stop when the world falls silent and glance back.

The dust settles as things calm down.

They can't tell how much of the town was taken out in that collapse.

"Let's get moving. That area is no longer safe to explore." Leo takes the lead as the others follow him. He keeps his gaze ahead as he tries to figure out where they could go. He starts to wonder if they are just stuck here... Left to disappear along with this world. His mind then drifts to the portal that brought them here. He pauses in his walking as he gets an idea.

The others stop and Leo can feel their gazes on him.

"What is it? Is danger near?" Raph glances around as if looking for the danger that Leo might have noticed.

The others do the same.

"I just thought something." Leo admits bringing attention to him again. "We all came here through portals." He turns around to look to the members of the group. "What if we use a portal to get to a safer world. Then get help in getting to our home worlds from there?" He sees the others eyes sparkle liking that idea.

"But how can we figure out where a portal will appear?" Michelangelo questions though with hope still in his eyes. "I haven't seen one since I got here."

"We may have to wander and look for one. We'll also keep our eyes open for any other way we can possibly get out of this world." Leo turns back to where they are going when the others seem to agree to this plan. He leads the way as they just continue in their random direction. He slightly turns as Leonardo moves to walk by him.

Leonardo turns to glance to him his eyes sparkling in curiosity. "I thought that you'd be like me after I met you. But I can see the differences between us. I always thought I was pretty cool. Yet when I watch you I feel like you're even cooler somehow." He mentions to Leo who listens to what he has to say. "You act so much like a leader and you make sure to look out for everyone. You just jump into the role as if it comes naturally."

"Thank you. I suppose how things are in my world just makes it easy to fall into it. I am the leader of those in my world. So I'm just used to such a role." Leo admits to which Leonardo nods his head with shining eyes at the mention of being a leader.

The two turning back to where they're going. Both not sure what to say further in this.
