The Multiverse. The Cosmos of the Cosmoses.

A set and collection of cosmoses (multiverses) that encompass all and throughout Creation, every single possibility and impossibility. Among the very twinkling stars, there was a great figure that was walking solemnly with lighter and graceful footsteps to accommodate the lower and higher planes beneath. This great figure was a She—a Woman. She whose mere presence cannot simply be fathomed by the mortal and divine perception. She is someone whose true nature bespoke of eternity, the living ray of sunshine that reflected the light of The One Who Is Above All Others. As She walks, She blesses all of the cosmoses that came through her path in the hiddenness of her activity that was no different from the natural order, nay could be said to be the natural order given shape and form, maybe even the natural order answers to her, her mere presence being one of great blessings and tidings. Only peace reigns within the Woman.

"Gloria in excélsis Deo, et in terra pax hominibus apud quos voluit! ("Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!")"

There were the subtle laws, little as they were, ones that remained unutterable for both god and mortal, like rainfall that came down on all that cross the paths, like seeds being sowed in the richest ground.

Where is She going?

She is simply walking toward a multiverse of interesting complexity, one that had all of the currently known heavenly multiverses stacked on each other that formed the seventh cycle, consisting of the different divine laws of the principle of Hegemony. It was like a blank canvas overlayed with multiple colors that reminded one of a kaleidoscope. This infinite multiverse has had a habit of changing the nature of its cosmology in light of who is the reigning God of an ancient powerful device called the Throne - the nucleus where all events of the past, present, and future revolved around, the root and source of all phenomena, upon which the God ruling over all of creation seats, a higher dimension in comparison to the infinite multiverse.

Amaterasu Suwasumeragi Omikami.

That was the era that it was currently known for. And it was time for Her to pay a visit to this sacred place.

But where? She knew just where. She already heard of a conversation that came from a gathering of Gods that carried different laws in accordance with their inner craving. They were rather...small from her perspective. Small is understating and underselling it as She sees them more like a speck of atoms that are much brighter than any atom. One could say that She was too big to fit anywhere which is why She tends to always lower Herself like a simple handmaid.

She cared with such a burning fire of charity that She could not want fear to be instilled in Her visitations. Which is why she is to make very lightened footsteps as a way of showing good faith.

There was a gathering of gods. Grand and ostentatious, and yet considered somewhat rubbish. Inside of the void housed an ogdoad Throne of Apotheosis in a certain way that was disarranged in a disorganized manner. As such, this was the location where these Eighth Deities sat upon. By historical definition, these Gods ought to all be long deceased, a rule which prevents them from ever coexisting to begin with. And yet...here they are.

They had already made a common agreement regarding the one called Naraka despite their differences. There were scuffles and grievances but they were all dealt with in time.

And yet...

"...!"

The conversations were now about to be intruded on and derailed for a bit. But it wasn't blatant. It was very subtle. It didn't speak of any harm nor of any form of evil intent.

All of them begin to sense the slowly approaching force of nature that was now upon them. It made them turn all of their eyes in an incomprehensible direction, trying to find where or when such arbitrary labels matter to be described when one reaches their stage.

"Well, now..." Mercurius was in sheer awe as he felt something coming closer, his eyes widening. They were to him what appeared to be very light footsteps as if careful not to step to places where or when they shouldn't. A benevolent and terrible force of nature that, dare he utters as it was an utter blasphemy to his tongue, surpasses even the exquisite Marguerite who was among those who were just as shaken by the sacred presence that was now coming down upon them little by little.

The sound of footsteps keeps coming. They signaled the coming of a great figure whose name and nature remained shrouded in mystery. This presence had...twelvefold wings and yet...they are as many wings behind the twelvefold number that it may seem impossible to perform a conjecture. For they are hidden you see, hidden beneath the unearthly figure that only comes with the footsteps of someone that had All Creation bow down in whatever form that is due.

Mitra, noticing the presence, widened her eyes. Truly, who could this mysterious being be if one were to call such a figure coming towards them? She cannot even decipher her presence, and neither can the very Throne itself decipher just who or what this was. This mysterious being felt massive and let itself be lowered unto their realm so that it could visit without being stepped on.

This was an impossible outcome, one that could not even be foreseen. Even the dreaded Hajun, who had been staring at the mysterious Naraka, had turned silent the moment he felt this mystery coming closer and could not utter a word of pessimism that reeks of hatred and damnation for all. In fact, he felt compelled against his very own nature not to even speak lest he should incur whatever mystery it may be wrought down upon him. One can say "mystery" because there is truly no other way to describe such a being. And this "mystery" somehow kept him barred from doing absolutely anything. It would not allow for any interruptions.

The Gods were silent and could not utter a word. And the hidden one that only Mitra would notice from the corner of her eye—Kouha noticed this presence with reverential awe and bewilderment.

What was it? They all asked themselves.

The footsteps kept coming. Whoever this was, it was something whose size cannot be determined at all, in fact, one needs to forget every label that would ever be applied to someone of this impossible level. It is BEYOND in every single sense or nonsense of the word you see, and that is something that can only be truly said.

A little bright light is seen from beyond and entering swiftly but slowly. Twelvefold unseen wings with many eyes of golden flashes of color were felt staring at all of the Gods who could only remain absolutely still and could not make any comment as the approaching figure was slowly making Herself visible. And they could feel the gentle breeze that was produced by these invisible feathered wings of the dove. There was the presence of all seasons, both warm and cool, that were rushing from all known and unknown directions. The colors of the canvas accommodate the steps that overlay creation. And this little light was becoming more bright than anything, for no single star surpasses such ethereal beauty. The colors could not make any form of blemish upon Her for She is Her own color.

She walks closer and closer. And little by little, her full appearance could be seen. A very tall Woman with very light footsteps that all bespoke of perfection and grace. She was wearing a simple religious nun's habit consisting of a brown tunic and scapular, the white toque over the head and shoulders, with her golden hair drawn and seen which seem as fair as a lily and as wonderful as the dawn, worn over by a black-white veil. There was a belt and rosary worn at the waist, a crucifix worn under the scapular and over the heart, hemp sandals, and socks. It was a special kind of purity and virginity unheard of that couldn't be ignored.

Out of all of the Gods, Ren Fujii and Marguerite "Marie" Breuil felt something odd about this figure as if She was looking straight at them. It wasn't obvious as Her face seemed to be lightly bowing which covered her eyes for all to truly peer and see. It was strange when they felt that they were the only two who this Woman was looking at with a kind of love that felt...maternal, truly joyful to see them, which made them bewildered, an impossible feat. They never recalled someone like this before and yet She was someone that felt very familiar but did not know why.

She was indeed a "mystery".

After stepping lightly, she finally stopped. From the very center, She was here, remaining in a solemn and regal posture that commanded respect but was one filled with the pure virtue of humility that would make even the proud acknowledge and bend their knee to this figure. Who was this Woman that suddenly came and brought a kind of interior peace that could not just be extinguished?

There was an unfathomable silence that reigned for an interval of undecipherable time.

No one dared spoke. And no one dared to speak of this Woman whose mere presence pervades everywhere, Her power felt everywhere and everywhen as if She is the peace of those to whom one can find eternal rest.

"Be not afraid, Gods of the Hegemony," the Woman spoke calmly with a beautiful ethereal smile whose voice reminded one of a thousand hosannas singing with the freshness of the morning. There was no malice to be found, only one of Truth. The language that She spoke was quite...unfathomable but was making itself translatable within reason, speaking in tongues. She is speaking several languages at once and all of the Gods could understand Her, each in their own language. "I have merely come to pay a visit to your Domain if that is allowable for all of you for a time."

The Gods didn't know what to do. For the first time in a long while, they were utterly stumped as to what to make of this figure that seemed to be as mysterious to them as if trying to figure out how everything truly began before the Throne and life itself came to be. They can tell that this Woman was not an enemy but they were greatly unsure of Her allegiance. She was someone that eluded everyone and was someone from the "outside". She was an ALIEN to their realm of feeling and thinking.

Somewhat, Marie, who is extremely hesitant and yet never felt anything except an interior peace, addressed the Woman respectfully.

"Umm...who are you?"

When she asked the question, the Woman turned to Marie with a beautiful smile and with golden eyes that flashed like the morning star that was so very loving that made her heart filled with even more interior peace which stretches a vast infinitude. Her introduction lay into that of poetic dialogue.

"When as the prince of angels puffed with pride stirred his seditious spirits to rebel: the ALMIGHTY chose for chief, His champion Michael: and gave Her charge the host of Heaven to guide. For thus it is I and has come from afar to seek an audience of all of you, and most of all to the two Gods present, Eien no Setsuna and Tasogare no Megami, my dearly beloved grandchildren."

"Eh?" both Ren and Marie uttered softly in shock. The rest of the Gods looked back and forth between the two and the Woman who made such a mysterious maternal smile that they now no doubt felt was directed towards the two Gods who were just as bewildered as they were if not more.

The Gods who listened simply blinked in confusion.

"Oh my...Grandchildren? With all due respect, may I ask as to why you are to call the dear Marguerite and the sturdy Zarathustra so and so, my Lady of the Mystery?" Mercurius could not help but ask as he raised an eyebrow at the unfathomable mystery that lay before him. Actually, from the moment this Woman introduced Herself to the Gods, they grew to recall a few religions that bear the name of "Michael".

Michael, according to ancient lore, was considered to be the chief of the angels, the protector of Israel and the Church, and the champion par excellence who defeated the dragon. There are many stories that concerned him, but they all remained consistent in that he was of the highest rank that was raised from the lower stature of a mere archangel, considered highly among the seven archangels, associated with the branches of the menorah, the sacred seven-branched lampstand in the Temple as the seven spirits before the throne of God.

But this Woman that introduced Herself as "Michael" was not a he, in fact, one can say that gender was but an arbitrary concept to describe this Woman who appeared to look of the opposite sex and yet was someone that one cannot fathom deeply lest they were to run a never-ending circle.

When this Woman introduced Herself as "Michael", it resounded everywhere and from within, acknowledged as if it were Truth itself. Falsehood means nothing for this Woman is beyond such trivial flaws and frailties that are to even be found among the Gods. She was an ALIEN, something BEYOND this domain, BEYOND everything that one could truly fathom or were to remain unfathomable. One could make a comparison between this Woman and Naraka, but that would be entirely inaccurate as this Woman seemed to be even more mysterious than this Naraka that had the Gods of all of the past eras summoned as the main reason behind this very gathering.

It would be far more accurate to say that this Woman was no woman but rather a pure spirit, a species of Her own, the body being a mere assumption that would allow for the process of comprehension to even take place. They are larger than life as they say. But even that pales in comparison to how this Woman can be described, let alone the race that She comes from.

Among the Gods, Reinhard Heydrich was the most intrigued among the Gods if only because the name "Michael" made him immediately recall his divine weapon that was capable of killing a God—Longinuslanze Testament which by now forms a part of him. Considering the truth of the words that were spoken by the Woman, one bereft of any falsehood, pure as the water, this is the definitive article standing right in front of Him.

The Woman simply smiled as she walked with light footsteps. One would say "walk", but it felt more like a quick hop from one to another at zero time, with not a hint of time left that appeared to have passed. For Time itself bows down to this Woman. In less than a blink of an eye, She draws close to Marie and looks at the Goddess of Twilight in the twinkling of an eye.

Marie became genuinely surprised just as much as Ren and the rest of the Gods as they never saw her move an inch. And yet here she was, standing a few meters close to Marie. How could she move from one place to another without any of them knowing? Did she even "move" in a sense?

"Have you considered my son for instance in order to answer the question of your compatriot, my dear granddaughter?" the Woman spoke with a smile.

"A son?" Marie asked for clarification, her eyebrows scrunched.

"Your father as much as he is your prince's father as he is the man who adopted him and two other children into his care, a Lord of Time by no Other name that was a mere simple visitor from afar," the Woman spoke further by giving a few hints.

"...!" Marie widened her eyes. And so would Ren. And so would Mercurius. And so would everyone else the more the hints would sink it for an unfathomable silence.

Him? They thought among themselves with a sheer sense of disbelief as they could obviously see the vast differences between the Woman and the person that they were thinking about right now. To be related in some way to this Woman? It is quite an unfathomable thought. There was someone that they all knew by now. A mortal god of time from their perspective, highly respectable by almost all of the Gods, and an old friend of one such God who made the infinite multiverse of this cosmology possible when he had first sat upon the Throne and gave it the eternal recurrence as a side effect.

"("Tou-san...")" Ren thought to himself.

"("Papa...")" Marie thought to herself.

Both Ren and Marie looked at each other in shock.

"Uhh...Okay, that's...forgive me, my Lady, but I don't recall tou-san ever mentioning someone like you before," Ren narrowed his eyes a bit out of concern and wanting to know about what it is that he was dealing with. Obviously, the Woman wasn't lying. There was literally no way as the truth felt more obvious with every word that the Woman took. As far as Ren could tell, this Woman was very genuine in her words.

"He wouldn't...He never really talks about our relationship with other people, even the ones who are the closest to him, as he prefers to keep it strictly private and for a sense of respect of independence on my son's part. His relationship with me is one of his many secrets to keep in his twofold hearts. You would of course know what I am referring to," the Woman smiled sadly.

"That...I can actually agree with," Ren nodded in agreement as he knew that the man that he called father had many secrets that he never really wanted others to know about.

"...Now this is quite an interesting discovery..." Mercurius said.

His curiosity as he had never as much as he could recall his old friend from long ago telling him once of being related to someone of this prestige, but alas, it may not even be believed in either way as there was no concrete proof, but it would draw his curiosity at the least. He would have to therefore conclude that this relationship seemed out of sight, cloaked in the king's secret.

The old friend who had made a fine showmanship of an actor that managed to make things more interesting for his beloved play of Dies irae. He was to be regarded by Mercurius as the finest critic and editor who simply did what he could from the wayside and immersed himself in the background while allowing the main and supporting actors to play the stage.

"The Outsider who had come from beyond the known universe, the man that I hold to be of true friendship; such sheer brilliance that goes against all odds, such determination fueled by a desire to save and to do what is necessary, such an exquisite performance that would befit a character of the Tempest...ah...it burns my heart to watch and see how perfect the play had come about when the Traveller From Beyond Time had left a few question marks for the actors to solve, much to my ecstatic delight."

"A man who flatters his neighbor spread a net for his feet, Suigin no Hebi," the Woman looked at the God with a mysterious smile and with a flash of her golden eyes as she spoke sacred words straight from the Holy Writ which produces a mysterious type of effect that could be known only to the one who had been directed by. These sacred words were Her Divine Law being brought into effect. "He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than he who flatters with his tongue."

"...!"

There was silence. Mercurius flinched for a bit but didn't show it if only because he became rather intimidated by the mysterious smile and the look of the Woman who made him rather dumb and mute as if to speak of the subtleties of Her power. And then just as the moment of realization begin to settle, both Ren and Marie laughed softly. Then Reinhard followed with a laughter of his own. The other Gods grew even more curious, with some such as Muzan blinking at this accidental sense of humor.

"Hahahahahaha, She has you quiet there, Karl. You were always the finest of poets that surpasses Shakesphere and Manzoni in making up the deeper structure of linguistic thought that would allow you the hone skill of versatility to describe the events of one's life as if it were a mere story. But now, it appeared that you seemed to be unable to make a simple retort that I missed so highly from you," Reinhard smiled with a pleased and humored expression.

"("Somebody actually manages to shut Mercurius up for a change? Now that's just funny as all hell. There's just no way I'm ever going to let this go.")" Ren silently commented within his mind while softly laughing.

"("I'm so sorry to laugh like this, Cagliostro, but you were simply just asking for it, and the nice Woman...I mean grandmother delivered with a...um, I suppose "punchline" would be an appropriate word to borrow from Rea.")" Marie silently commented within her mind while softly laughing.

As the soft laughter continues and one that even made Muzan look slightly amused at the sudden turn of events while Nerose Satanael grew contemplative at the mysterious figure of this Woman that exceeds every form of "reason" or "logic", Mitra begins to speak first as she straightens her posture and coughed up for a bit, one that had taken the form of proper respect for this mysterious Woman whose power felt indecipherable, reminding her of times past and what lay beyond. And it also would remind her of a man—a Lord of Time who had piqued her interest quite before, the elusive man that she could not seem to capture one's heart from. And the mother of this man was standing just nearby and wanted to at least show the care of common courtesy.

"My Lady, considering that introductions are no longer needed as you seem to know of us and our names, may I ask as to what do we owe the pleasure of your visitation? And for that manner, what kind of being are you?" she asked the Woman if only for the sake of clarification into matters that even seemed to elude her.

The Woman looked towards Mitra with a solemn indecipherable expression whose interior meaning completely eludes the latter. The Woman's smile turned grim.

At the same time, she glances at someone else. Somewhere hidden from everyone's sights was Kouha, the one who observes this conclave with an interest. She recognized the Gods that are all gathered here for she had silently observed all of their events, seen all of the drama of their stories that were put together under various circumstances and contextual factors. Kouha grew intimidated and dared not to utter a word in front of this mysterious being whose mere physical presence appeared like a mirror that hides something else, an accommodation if one will for her to comprehend.

And then the Woman looks at Marie and Ren, her adopted grandchildren among the Gods.

"To be brief, I am what is called an Angelus, and it is as the name implies for all of you to figure it out amongst yourselves. I have come from afar and have come here with a message of my own to deliver specifically to all of you."

"A message?" Satanael said.

"A dire warning of things to come. I know that you have a local problem that needed to be dealt with...and you will in time," the Woman looked up with narrowed flashing eyes as she uttered what appeared to be a prophecy of things to come. She appeared to be looking at something and it was noticed by all of the Gods. They could take a guess as to what or who was She looking at.

"You...You can see Naraka?" Mitra asked softly.

"I do," the Woman affirmed while looking at Mitra. "However, as much of a problem as that truly is, it is of the least of your concerns."

"...?!" Mitra grew concerned.

"And whatever do you mean by that, my Lady?" Reinhard asked, intrigued as to what dire manner that would make even Naraka quite a footnote and for a visitation of this mysterious being within their midst.

"It would be better if I were to show all of you...However, I should warn all of you not to underestimate what I am about to let all of you see with my All-Sight," the Woman gently asked.

It was rather quick. Whatever the Woman was doing, it was allowing all of them to see a "picture" if one will of what lay further beyond, an image of several contextual narratives. What the Gods could see for themselves as they seemed to pass through an infinity...

"...?!"

It was a terrible image that had come forth from their vision. What they see was a Throne where there sat...something completely incomprehensible and terrible to even look at.

There were sharp eyes of pure gold that flashed along with the colors of pure crimson colors of nothingness. Its size was...massive and cannot be contained to whatever dimension. The size of this being was utterly irrelevant. What can describe the physical appearance of this being? One could not. It falls ever so short as its mere presence was utterly ALIEN to everything around it.

A being of pure and true nothingness tainted with the blood of the crimson color, forging within oneself a creation of swirling anomalies of so many different cosmologies born from the dreams and nightmares that may come true, unpredictable like a terrible raging hurricane that would threaten to descend down and crush anything within its path. A pure spirit covered with the clothing of the eternal shadow of corruption that wants to cover everything - all of the Totality into absolute nothingness for its own personal glory...Or was it just for it only? Whispers were heard of something far worst that this unfathomable beast seemed to serve.

A memory of a world that is forever lost; the premodern world made manifest in a form of hatred for it and for the concept of modernity, the new, the humanism, and the smiling coldness that marked the day-to-day existence of mortals and gods alike. Forged from a perfect balance of irreconcilable anomalies and the breaking minds of the higher and lower spheres. He is an entity created by this overwhelming, unavoidable tension. Of the howl of the old world when faced with a cold, grey, purposeless new. He is the revenge of the fallen past and of the unknown future. He is the idea of the ancient in a world that discards and fetishes it. He is the tension between the modern and the premodern made manifest. He is the faultline between two irreconcilable worlds. And he can only, in the end, destroy them all, as befits the nature of the Fallen One, the true Son of the Morning.

Its many golden crimson eyes appeared to be omniscient. It sees all. And its eyes were like those of a flashing lion that looks ready to devour everything that obscures its path.

But the vision was brief before the Gods could learn further, being pulled out of it by more than a mere fraction of a second. Information had passed by them just as they saw the terrible abomination whose mere presence was the exact opposite of the Woman standing before them.

And the Gods fell silent for a moment as they internally processed what had just occurred. They have been given all of the information that they needed to know. But they dare not utter the name of this being.

"...This appears to be quite concerning indeed," Mercurius spoke finally, slightly shaken, looking at the Woman. "I never would have imagined feeling that familiar presence once more, this time to a much greater degree than needed.

"Karl...Do you know what that was before all of this, old friend?" Reinhard asked.

Mercurius simply shook his head. "Nay, for such presence was very good at being concealed. I only managed to catch a glimpse during the time of my rule but it was more than enough to know that it was a force beyond my own control. I can only say for certain that..." His eyes widened as he looked back at the Woman. "Surely...my old friend could not have attracted such a being of this power?" He sounded slightly exasperated more than anything.

"Eh?!" Marie and Ren looked at the Woman.

"What does this have to do with papa?" Marie asked.

"Everything, my dear, for my son would play a role against the coming darkness. He and the King have been enemies for eternity, on both a reasonable and personal level. One day, no longer would he be known by the name of a physician, but he would become something else that would be more of an echo of his name that he would one day reject," the Woman subtly spoke with a tone of solemnity and sorrow as a mother would when already knowing what her son would eventually experience. Not now, not tomorrow, but sometime soon.

"Another name?" Reinhard asked.

"One day, he will carry another face and He will eventually be known by another name...the Warrior...which would signal a new era. It has yet to fully happen...but it will...in time," the Woman solemnly declared.

The Gods, with the exception of Hajun who had been rendered completely mute to the experience, all looked at each other.

"And...just what kind of cataclysm that would make my old friend discard even his very own name?" Mercurius asked as he could not foretell just what kind of unfathomable darkness could make his old friend give the name that he was known by up so quickly.

"...You would not know yet as it has yet to truly happen, but certain pieces are slowly falling into place, little by little. It is only a matter of...time. It is only fitting that all of you would need to be more than prepared for what is coming," the Woman softly uttered.

"Before...what's coming?" Ren asked, feeling a sense of dread, a combination of what this had to do with the man he called father and the monster that he just saw with a glimpse.

The Woman can only look at Reinhard as a way to provide an answer.

"Tell me, Golden Beast, do you still recall your inner craving?"

Reinhard took note of the solemn tone from the Woman that probed through his interior experiences and recognizes the desire for a glorious and eternal battlefield.

"What of it, my Lady?" he asked with a polite tone.

"That would be what it is to come...and so much more...But the coming darkness would not simply stop with just war and death," the Woman looked at Hajun who grew silent at the stare of this mysterious being that was now looking at him. Not much can be said other than dread from the overall narcissistic god that had caused untold pain for everyone. Seeing him like this made Ren feel quite satisfied all things considered. About time somebody finally put him in his place, he thought darkly.

"Are you saying...that whatever is coming may perhaps be similar to what that problem child had almost wrought upon us?" Mitra asked, noting how the Woman was looking at Hajun.

"Far more than just that..." the Woman clarified further. "There is a certain Tower that is very far away from here relatively speaking...a cosmology of its own eternally separate from yours. Just as you all have the Throne as the nexus, this cosmology has the Dark Tower. Its Supreme Ruler, known by many names, holds more authority than I ever could. And He is the one who holds back the monster that is locked within the Tower, and that would be the one to whom the monster that you saw in the vision had served since time immemorial. If the monster's master is free, then the end would be nigh for All Creation."

"...And just who are these devils? What are their names?" Muzan spoke, his eyes narrowed, having been quiet for a long time as he simply opted to observe for now.

"They are known by many names. Whatever it is that speaks of a "satan" or a "devil" figure are but grains of truth that are scattered throughout Creation. The personification of evil, the Master and His Lieutenant...Beware of the name that I would utter for you all to remember by...the Crimson King..."

And as she uttered it, the title spoke of two beings that share the same title. One was the Master and the other was the right hand of the crimson will. It made all of the Gods pay very close attention as the name echoed and the information that it entailed was delivered. And it gave all of them expressions of a grimace in accordance with their respective personalities.

"And as of now, when you focus on your stories involving Naraka, never forget the one to whom I told you, the Crimson King. Do not underestimate them...to your own peril. Prepare, for you know neither the day nor the hour."

The warning has been delivered. A first out of many. And it made Ren and Marie worry for one single man who seemed to be one vital part connected to it all. The man that they have and still called father.
