I said that every boss ghost gets a memorable moment in this Halloween special, so here's the next chapter for Halloween Hotel.

Johnny was floating to the elevator, knowing full well that he would have to make a really hard decision. Ever since the Johnny Games had been shut down forever, he had decided to make a new tradition: a holiday baseball game.

Johnny had gathered up everyone who wanted to play in the game, so including Ug, and Dj Phantasmagoria. Gloria understood the rules, Ug wasn't as clear with the rules, but Johnny was sure Ug understood enough to play.

Plus Gloria and Ug, many guests were enthusiastic about the new autumn ballgame, and wanted to play. There were about 19 people in total for the roles of players, but there was a problem: one team would have minus one team member compared to the other team.

So what hard decision was Johnny making? Everyone that didn't want to play was asked far too many times to play by Johnny, so those guys weren't an option.

The other boss ghosts had plans, and the only other ghost that had plans that might've been able to play was Ginny, but her sisters had a Halloween schedule that included her, so she wasn't an option.

Since the boss ghosts had something to do, that ruled a majority out of ballgame options, but there was one boss ghost left. The only other option for another team member was Amadeus Wolfgiest.

Johnny and Amadeus Wolfgiest weren't exactly the duo that were, well, kind to each other. Wolfgiest never got along with Johnny just because he was too Goddamn stupid for his taste. But Gloria bet Johnny twenty coins he couldn't convince Wolfgiest to play. But that wasn't going to be the easiest task.

Not even two hours ago, Johnny and Wolfgiest got into an argument over what was better: finger pushups, or piano. Wolfgiest had a high enough IQ to know that something was up if Johnny asked him to play baseball with him right after an argument.

Nevertheless, Johnny was going to prove Gloria wrong, to get Amadeus Wolfgiest in a baseball game, to get some confidence, and to-most importantly- get the twenty coins!

Hmm, Johnny thought, what would I do with twenty coins? His thoughts were interrupted by the ding of the elevator.

When a guest walks into the Great Stage for the first time, they will normally be awed by the sights of the classy floor, but when you've worked at the Last Resort hotel for about forty years, the sights get boring after a while, and the sights didn't awe Johnny. Well, it never did to him anyway.

Johnny heard soft piano music not very far away, and he knew exactly who was playing it. Johnny floated slowly and quietly as he could remembering that Wolfgiest was a very observant man, and he got his head into the Great Stage auditorium.

There Amadeus Wolfgiest was, gracefully playing a beautiful piano piece with his eyes closed. At first Johnny was actually a bit impressed, but then Wolfgiest decided to play a not so graceful piece of music by suddenly turning the classical music into a fast and upbeat piece.

He was still closing his eyes, but Wolfgiest's piano was getting so much more louder by the second, and it was starting to literally hurt Johnny's ears.

Wolfgiest turned his rage about the argument into a piece, a piece of music that definitely showed how he felt about a simple argument.

Oh god, Johnny thought. I think he might be more angrier than I anticipated. Huh, that's a word I thought I would never use!

As Johnny kept on peeking his head through the Great Stage Auditorium's door, he knew that as soon as Wolfgiest was officially done with his practice, Johnny would float into the stage and ask the question. Ballgame or no ballgame.

Johnny slowly fazed through the doors of the auditorium, Wolfgiest didn't notice him or anything until he did. Johnny accidentally made a small sound and that revealed him to the pianist.

"What do you want?" Wolfgiest asked, clearly annoyed due to his voice tone, "Have you come to admit that the art of music is more amazing than simple pushups?"

Johnny slowly floated towards the stage with a bit of hesitation. If you don't choose your words correctly in front of a ghost like Wolfgiest, you could be in for a rage case, and Johnny knows that. But he still wanted to make a fair point without causing an argument.

"Bro, first of all, it takes a ton of strength to do a finger pushup, and second of all, this is not about our argument dude."

Wolfgiest huffed with irritation the second Johnny came into the room, and now what does he want? Everyone who has been working in the hotel for at least a month knew that if Johnny Deepend talks accidental shit almost all the time, so what could his reason be now?

"Hey dude, if you are free later, I want to, uh, invite you to my fall ballgame! There will be other people there including Gloria and Ug, so do you want to come or something?"

"No." It didn't take Wolfgiest long to give Johnny his answer, and he didn't seem to care much about the reaction, just as long as he could go back to playing his dear piano Elizabeth.

"Wait! Don't you want to think about it or anything?" Johnny called after Wolfgiest, but he didn't stop playing his piano after that.

"Here's what I'm thinking! Number one! What do YOU know about thinking?!? Number two! Gloria is okay, but Ug will destroy the field if his team loses! Number three! I just want to play my piano in peace! Good day Johnathan!"

Johnny sighed and was going to accept defeat, but then he got an idea. A good one, and possibly the most amazing way to get Wolfgiest on your side: just give him power.

"So Wolfgiest," Johnny began, "Did you know we haven't decided teams yet?"

"I didn't know. Now go."

"Well, with teams, there's always the team captain. The dude or dudette that is the leader and is very cool. Because you didn't join the game, I guess we can't have a team captain, so that means you missed out on being cool. You can still join though."

"Now wait, you said I could still join?" Wolfgiest got up from his seat, now suddenly interested. "On one condition: I get to be the captain."

"Sure dude, you do you." Relief flooded through Johnny.

"Actually a few more conditions. No one complains, I get a lot of control, and I get to be the bat!"

"You're already a dingbat, and it's called a batter."

"Wait, hey!"

Johnny Deepend and Amadeus Wolfgiest were floating to a field where the Johnny Games used to be held, and this time there was no crowd, there was only ghosts that were willing to be in the fall ballgame.

"You dudes and dudettes decided to play in the game of my fall ballgame, and I have brought someone to be the final team member!" Johnny announced this with so much enthusiasm that people thought that the new player would be good.

"I brought Amadeus Wolfgiest!" Johnny jazzed hands in Wolfgiest's direction excitedly, but the players didn't feel the same way. The cheers from them died quickly as they saw the one person that could potentially, okay definitely, ruin this game.

"Johnny dude?" Ug asked.

"Bro, you're learning my language! Keep going,"

"Skinny older guy maybe ruin game. That make Ug nervous."

"Oh don't worry Ug and everyone else! I talked to Wolfgiest about this and he said he'll be a good team player! Show us Wolfgiest!"

"Excuse me Johnny," Wolfgiest regained his attention to the ghosts. "But when is this captaining scenario happening? Time's getting a bit long, and I have dinner plans."

Clearly Wolfgiest was not paying attention to his teammates and competition, and was just as clearly more focused on the captain role than the game.

"How does Wolfgiest know about the ball captain?" A Hammer whispered loud enough for the pianist to hear. Fortunately for the Hammer, Wolfgiest couldn't tell who said that.

"I uh, kinda told Wolfgiest that he could be the team's captain, so I dub myself a captain and now for the rest of you, first ten people to third base is on my team."

Johnny smiled to himself as he knew that he had used a foolproof way to motivate people to not be on Wolfgiest's team.

Literally everyone practically trampled each other while trying to get to third base, they didn't want to be on a team where Wolfgiest- also given the legendary name The Provoked Pianist- was the leader.

In the end, not everyone could make it to third base faster than others, and Ug and a few other ghosts were on Johnny's team, and everyone else was with Wolfgiest, who wasn't happy with his teammates.

"Hold on, why would you do this to me, to give me, Amadeus Wolfgiest, an unfair disadvantage. You said the faster will be on your team, and I'm left with the weaker people!"

Of course the people of Wolfgiest's team(?) were pretty offended with their captain's complaints, and the game hadn't even started and Wolfgiest was making his own team irritated.

"Dude, you gotta chill out! The game starts in a few minutes." Johnny tried to keep Wolfgiest calm for a little while longer, but that plan would only get the ghosts so far. Luckily, it worked while it lasted.

"Oh don't worry, I have the patience of Harold Fresly!" Wolfgiest smiled with pride, but no one understood the reference.

"Harold Fresly! One of the most patient people on this planet! Oh you people need to know a bit of history!"

"If you don't shut up I'll make you history!" Gloria growled at her captain. "You gotta be quiet in order for the game to start!"

Not even Amadeus Wolfgiest could argue with that, but he still felt that he needed a new teammate, and Johnny could tell what the pianist was thinking.

"Alright dude, you can have a stronger player and you get Ug!" Johnny looked at his caveman friend who was picking at his fingernails.

"Ug! You're on Wolfgiest's team! Over there!" Johnny pointed to the mess of some team. Ug reluctantly floated to his new team, swapping with Gloria.

"Hello angry music guy. Ug here to play with you." Ug seemed okay with the swap, and so did Wolfgiest, but only if it meant that Gloria would leave. Oh well, a sacrifice if it meant making things only a bit more comfortable for Amadeus Wolfgiest.

"Batterrrr up!"

The game started with the pitcher throwing the ball to the batter, and because Wolfgiest saw that as the most important playing role, with his captain powers he made sure that he was the batter.

"You have the eye of a Pokio, the focus of Chambrea, a-" Wolfgiest told himself but, as usual, he wasn't exactly painting the entire picture and the ball whooshed by him before he could even swing.

"That's too fast!"

It definitely didn't surprise everyone that it took less than a minute for the game to bring out the complaints in Wolfgiest, but everyone tried to ignore them, but that was really hard especially since the complaints was more of a Wolfgiest problem.

"There was a bird distracting me!"

"That girl was coughing and it made me lose concentration!"

"I wish I was with the triplets!"

"Okay, SHUT UP!!!" Johnny and everyone else officially lost their patience way before the complaints started but this was their absolute breaking point.

"Batting isn't for you, so I'll move you to the outfielder." Johnny was trying to get calmer now that Wolfgiest got a new position. "Your job is to catch the ball when it comes your way."

"Are you supposed to give me orders? I'm a captain."

"A captain complainer! Your last role didn't work out dude! We should, like, change the roles ASAP."

Being too tired from complaining, Wolfgiest not so reluctantly agreed to be an outfielder. Maybe it would work out, maybe it wouldn't, but-

"Ug think skinny music guy too mean. Skinny music guy bad at baseball. This not work." Ug pipped into action with a comment that Wolfgiest didn't hear. Just kidding.

"I will be the greatest outfeller this world has ever seen!"

"Bro, it's an outfielder. Get it right." Gloria huffed with uncertainty that Wolfgiest would certainly NOT be a great outfielder.

"Batter up!"

Maybe Wolfgiest's luck finally turned around because the ball immediately went flying towards him, and just like he was supposed to, Wolfgiest began to dash to the ball, but it was too high for him. There was no way he could catch it.

Unless...

"AHHHH!" Wolfgiest jumped into the air and used his arm stretching power to grab the ball! And he caught it!

"I-I..." Wolfgiest was shaking with awe as he slowly opened his hand where he caught the ball. And there it was, a baseball.

"I FINALLY FUCKING DID IT! I CAUGHT THE FUCKING BALL!!!"

Wolfgiest and his team won the game thanks to the arm stretching ability, and it made people forget how much of a controlling pianist Wolfgiest truly was. It didn't matter though, the incident just make Wolfgiest feel like a hero. Or just extremely overconfident at least.

As Wolfgiest strutted into the Grand Lobby with pride, he made sure that people were looking, it would guarantee that someone would ask what happened because Wolfgiest was in a pretty good mood.

But so what? Wolfgiest in a happy mood was something that could only happen in a dream!

"So what happened?" Steward asked the pianist. "It's not everyday that you are happy, so I need to know, what happened."

Wolfgiest explained the situation to his boss, and he seemed impressed a lot. Who knew a Halloween baseball game could bring the good and bad out of Wolfgiest. Sure it would bring a lot of the bad, but any good from Wolfgiest would do.

Another soul that was also impressed was Ginny. She was definitely going to tell her sisters and Clem about Wolfgiest's win. But first she needed to finish her Halloween costume.

Another chapter!
