I'm fully aware that the triplets and Clem are fan favorites and that made me excited to create this chapter. Have fun!
It didn't make sense to Ginny that Mister Wolfgiest could somehow prevail in a game of baseball. She was pretty athletic and she had participated in some of Johnny's baseball games and it was pretty hard. Ginny definitely wanted to tell her sisters about Wolfgiest.
But first she had to complete her task of getting snacks for herself and her sisters. Their Halloween costumes would have to be epic, and the triplets couldn't work on an empty stomach.
Ginny made her way to the elevator with the snacks that consisted of chips and fizzy water and made it to the eleventh floor. She decided to tell her sisters about Mister Wolfgiest while they were finishing their final details for their Halloween costumes.
The elevator stopped on the eleventh floor and Ginny floated out with excitement. She knew very well that she and her sisters could make a scary costume if they wanted to, and they all wanted to scare the after-living daylights out of everyone in the hotel with their scary costumes!
"Nikki, Lindsey! I'm back with the snacks!" Ginny called out, but no one responded. "Guys?"
Nervousness began to fill Ginny and her thoughts and DEFINITELY NOT because she was worried for her sisters, but because Halloween was one of the triplets' pranking seasons. Maybe the silence was a prank plan.
To Ginny's surprise, Clem came out of Nikki's room and greeted the youngest triplet with a warm but mischievous smile.
"Clem! When did you get here? I was just in the lobby and you weren't here when I left."
"Your sister just wanted me ta come up here to talk about da costumes. And ya might be questionin' da silence, Lindsey was testing her costume out."
"On who?"
"ON YOU!"
Lindsey, the long pigtailed triplet, jumped out from behind an armchair that was behind her younger sister while wearing a dress that was half white and half black vertically split down the middle. Lindsey also had a mask on that portrayed a creepy doll. It looked really scary, and speaking of which, Ginny got pretty frightened of the scare.
"AHHHH! Lindsey! What was that for? I just got the snacks for you too!" Ginny angrily shouted at her sister.
"Good job Linds!" Nikki, the one ponytailed triplet, fazed through the floor with her phone in her hand. "That was picture perfect! And I actually got that on video!"
"Clem!" An angry Ginny quickly spun around to the plumber. "You were in on this? Why?!"
"Well Ah think dat Ah was da only one here dat feels guilty about da scare, but Ah did come here with one of your favorite movies!"
Nikki gulped nervously when Clem pulled out a DVD of The Crash Killer, one of Ginny's favorite Halloween horror movies.
"Ooh!" Lindsey floated out and to Clem while taking off her mask. "Does that mean we can scare Nikki again?"
"But how do you know I don't like horror movies?"
"C'mon Nikki? Your scaredy-catness when it comes to horror movies is just as obvious as our occupation of magicians! We found out a couple decades ago when we watched The Gamemaster's Funhouse and you practically peed yourself!" Ginny and Lindsey laughed and left Clem being the only one of the three to feel sorry for Nikki. Only a bit though.
"Well- well..." With all her epic comebacks, Nikki couldn't come up with something to make her sisters feel bad.
"Anyway," Nikki tried to change the subject. "Clem, is it okay that I talk to Lindsey and Ginny, um, alone?"
"Ooh! Girl talk?"
"NO!"
Shortly after that, Clem left the triplets to talk about something. Something... sinister.
"Girls." Nikki started. "We need to have a scary costume and you know it. That's why I got us these!" Nikki left to her room and came out a minute later with pure black tuxedos, black ties(not bow ties unfortunately) and even blacker top hats. "These!" Nikki resumed.
"How'd you get those Nik?" Ginny asked in awe due to the nice suits while also hoping her sister would be triggered by the nickname.
"I got these by using some of the money we earned with magic shows and got these awesome costumes!" Nikki plastered on a fake smile and shot a tiny glare at Ginny when she was done talking.
"Wait, the money we earned? That was our money?" Lindsey was about to shout but then changed her mind. "I guess these tuxes are worth the money."
"They are! Now, Lindsey you are good with makeup and you could definitely turn Ginny into..."
Nikki silenced and used hand signals to get her sisters into doing something, but they couldn't figure out what.
"Drumroll please!" Nikki finally announced. Oh's came out of Ginny and Lindsey then they started drumrolling on their hats.
"Ginny, because you somewhat like the zombie apocalypse Halloween movies, you are going to be a super scary zombie!"
"Cool! Does that mean I can-"
"No, you can't take a huge risk and do the plan. I kinda learned my lesson when we accidentally made Mister Kruller faint."
"You know how to learn? Really?"
"Shut up Lindsey!"
Nikki sighed. "Alrighty then, because of your comment, I give you no drumroll at all. Lindsey, you get to the scariest monster of all time! It is a cruel creature that will scare the shit out of people! You are gonna dress up as, Miss Gravely!"
Lindsey's expression instantly turned from excited to a combination of shocked, disgusted and angry as she heard what he'd costume was. "Nikki! I wanted to be scary, not horrifying! I wanna be something else!"
"I hate you, but as your older sister, I will never allow myself to see Miss Gravely as a sibling, even if it's just a costume. And don't worry, I was just joking!" Nikki giggled. "Anyway Lindsey, you are going to be a cute and creepy puppet!"
Lindsey grinned with delight because she had always thought of herself as a literal puppet master. It was certainly better than Hellen Gravely.
"Well in that case, I like my costume now! Can I get the makeup now? I want to make you and Ginny super scary!"
"Actually, I'm going to be a chainsaw murderer with a hockey mask so there's no point of putting makeup on me if no one can see my face!" Nikki beamed proudly. "Now all we need to do is get some makeup and costumes on!"
What made it good for the triplets is that the Last Resort was an isolated place, but right after Luigi adventured the area, a neighborhood was built a couple blocks away and it was a fancy neighborhood too.
Rumors had spread that almost all of the homes had bought the good candy, king sized bars! Being excited for that, Clem and the triplets wanted to get ready, and fast!
Lindsey was putting on the finishing touches to Ginny's face, who was waiting anxiously. Lindsey wanted the facial part of her sister's costume to be a surprise, so she was wearing a blindfold that the trio normally used for magic tricks.
"Okay, carefully take off your blindfold!" Lindsey had just finished Ginny's zombie look, and she didn't know if it was scary, not so scary or perfect.
Ginny took off her blindfold as instructed, and she saw her new face. It was the perfect shade of green, it looked like Ginny was missing a part of her cheek, it was perfect!
"Wow Lindsey! How'd you do that? I'm looking exactly like Nikki's personality, ugly!" Ginny exclaimed.
"What was that?" Nikki hollered from the other room. She was putting on her costume. It surely had to be scarier than Ginny!
"Nikkiiiiiii! Ginny's face is readyyyyyy!" Lindsey sang to her sister. All she had to do now was get ready and everyone would be good to go!
"Let me see!" Nikki crashed into the room wearing her black outfit without the mask, tie, and black hat (she was wearing her normal hat), but she was horrified the second she came into the room.
"Holy shit! Lindsey run!" Nikki took off her purple tophat and used it to launch books at top speed at Ginny, unaware that was her sister. Lindsey already knew that Nikki attacked what she thought were threats, so the middle triplet possessed a coat nearby and hoped for the best.
"Nikki, Nikki, hold up!" Ginny jumped from the chair she was on and barely dodged a book. "It's me! You know, Ginny, your sister!"
The chaos immediately stopped as Nikki paused with launching the books at Ginny. "Wait a minute, that's you?"
Lindsey unpossessed the coat as Nikki turned her violent behavior into a sweet girl who was praising the makeup that just turned her violent.
"You-you actually look like a zombie, and I thought you were a real one too! Lindsey, who taught you how to do this?" Nikki smiled at her sisters.
"One of the makeup artists in the Paranormal Productions taught me how to do that, and I'm glad I know how to makeup because if Ginny's zombie face is that realistic, we can definitely scare some people!"
All three of the triplets cheered with the hope that if they have really good costumes, they could get more candy!
A little while later, Lindsey and Ginny were waiting in the elevator hall, wearing their costumes! A puppet and a zombie, they looked so scary! Just now waiting for Nikki and things would become fun!
"Hurry up Nikki!" Ginny shouted from outside Nikki's bedroom. "It's almost time to go get Clem!"
"I'm almost done Gin!" Nikki was stumbling to put on her tie in the other room, it was hard for her to do that mainly because of her mask, which was blocking her eyesight a little bit.
"*sigh* Nikki's taking a long time! I bet on my life that no one has taken this long to put a costume on!" Lindsey complained. "You know what, Nikki comes out in three, two, one-"
To Lindsey and Ginny's surprise, the elevator dinged its soft noise and Clem floated out smiling with his costume. A white bunny onesie that was probably meant for girls and pajamas, not a costume.
"Happy Halloween!" Clem then jazzed hands with excitement, only to be laughed at by Lindsey and Ginny.
"Clem! HAHAHA! How cute! HAHA!" The two sisters laughed their asses off, Clem not surprised at all.
"Hey! What's all the noise out there?!" Nikki called from the other room. "Well, no need to answer me, I'm coming out there myself!"
Nikki slammed the door open with her entire costume on, bloody mask and everything, then gasped at the sight of Clem and his pajam- I mean costume.
"AHHHH! Who da hell are you?!" Clem screamed like a little girl.
"Ahhhhh." Nikki sarcastically and blankly whisper screamed back. "What the hell are you wearing?"
"It's ma costume! Ah have been creatin' such a cool Halloween costume for weeks! Plus, ya like rabbits! Why ya complainin'?"
How could any of the triplets answer to that? Clem had made some very good points, but the sisters being who they are...
"HAHAHA! I have no idea why that's your costume, but okay!"
"Oh whateva! So is Ginny a zombie, Lindsey a puppet and you're a... a..." Clem couldn't tell what Nikki was supposed to be.
"I'm clearly a hockey masked psycho killer, duh!" Nikki pointed out as if Clem should've gotten his guess right on the first try.
"A hockey masked psycho killer! Just what Ah was goin' ta say!"
"So should we get going, or should we wait for this conversation to be over? There's only so much words this chapter could hold!" Lindsey asked.
"Oh hell nah! Let's go!" The triplets and Clem left the hotel for trick or treating.
"Okay!" Clem smiled at his sister-like friends. "Ya need to be extra cute, we can get mo candy if ya turn up da charm!"
"Got it! Wait, I know what we should do!" Ginny whispered a plan into her sisters' ears, and it was a good one too!
Nikki rang the first doorbell, and the triplets got into their positions, ready for the candy.
"We would like something somewhat sweet! Some candy that is good to eat! Trick or treat!" The triplets sang a catchy little song simultaneously at the man who was handing out candy.
"Candy you're going to get!" The man put giant handfuls of candy into the triplets' pillowcases. He was certainly charmed all right!
"What about me?" Clem put his pillowcase to the man. He wasn't as charmed with Clem, but he did deserve something. But not much if he wasn't putting as much effort as the triplets.
The man dumped a couple of rocks into Clem's pillowcase and let the triplets sing one more time.
"Oh thank you for this lovely meet!" The door closed with the man humming the tune, unaware what the sisters had done.
"He has the audacity to only give you rocks! But don't worry Clem, we used our hats to snag a LOT of extra candy!" The triplets dumped tons of the extra candy in Clem's loot holder.
"And that's only a small percentage of candy that we're gonna get!" Lindsey cheered. "To the next house!"
By the next hour, the triplets and Clem had received more candy than they had imagined. Sure they all knew that their loot stash would be big, but not humongous! Things were looking for the quartet!
"Giving us candy, oh thank you, we no longer feel blueeeee!" The triplets danced off the last porch of the night, and by now, the hats that the group was using to hold candy was almost overflowing! Of course since it's a magic hat, it could never run out of room.
The sweets and treats have made the triplets and Clem very happy. In fact, they were celebrating their victory right now.
"Ah may have gottin rocks, but Ah have neva felt dis happy in a long time!" Clem cried out. "Dis is perfect! Wanna go back home?"
"No way! We have one more trick up our sleeves!" The triplets pulled toilet paper and eggs out of their hats.
"There's a lot more where that came from! Cmon!" Lindsey squealed with excitement. She tossed a couple of TP rolls to Clem and handed him four cartons of eggs.
"Oh hell yeah! Let's do dis!"
The triplets got on top of their hats and rode it as if they were skateboards, and threw tons of TP at the first house. Clem just dashed as fast as he could to avoid being seen. By the time the group ran out of their first batch of TP and eggs, the house they had ruined was a total mess.
It was pretty much like that for the rest of the homes, and when the triplets and Clem actually ran out of their ammo, the neighborhood looked like a warzone, not a neighborhood.
"I never had so much fun! We got to do this again next year!" Ginny trumpeted.
"You will not!"
A mob of angry neighbors had gathered around the triplets and Clem, and like I said before, they were angry. No, not angry, enraged.
"Our entire neighborhood is NOT amused by your trickery, and we believe that you three should be punished." The mob leader began. "We are quite angry of your actions." His english accent sounded funny to all four of the little group, and almost made them laugh.
"You think this is funny!?" A mob member shouted. "I was studying for one of my exams, and suddenly, an egg came flying through my bedroom's window!"
"Studying on Halloween? But why?" Nikki asked, she, her sisters, and Clem not understanding the problem.
"That is not the point! Leave our humble neighborhood, and never return!" The mob shouted. The sudden banishment reminded the quartet of Castle Macfrights.
"Oh all right." Clem sighed. "But first..." After-dead silence came over everyone, until it didn't.
"Da middle finger was probably invented cuz of ya! Eat soft trees ya dinguses!" To everybody's surprise, even the triplets', Clem had one final stash of TP that consisted of ten rolls, and he threw them at the mob.
"CLEM!"
"Ya better git outta here now guys! Back to da hotel, go go go!" Clem and the triplets made their escape back to their home sweet home, almost in one piece. The angry mob attempted to throw clumps of dirt at the group.
But it was still fun, good ol' fashioned trick or treating, and it definitely made the night for Clem and his magician friends a blast. The events still effected the group even as they entered the hotel.
"Welcome back!" Dr. Potter smiled. "Did all of you have a wonderful time? Was it a nice experience?"
"We'll not forget it," Nikki yawned. "Clem got rocks!"
Potter gave a confused look at the mechanic as he and the triplets left to their floors. Oh well, things would be quiet for the time being.
Until Morty accidentally bumped into the botanist in a hurry, maybe even having plans of his own.
Final chapter next!
