Halloween special final chapter, Halloween special final chapter! Since this is the Halloween special final chapter, I wanted to give you a blast to the past! Enjoy!

"Morty!" Dr. Potter gasped with surprise. "You seem to be in a hurry, is something wrong?"

Morty was carrying a small video camera and tickets for something. Potter couldn't tell what the tickets were for, but it must've been important if Morty was running all over the place, almost a little panicked.

"I'm running late! I was able to get Kruller to come with me to a haunted house, and the tickets expire in an hour and a half!"

It wasn't exactly the most surprising thing that Morty, the director who took his movies seriously, would have a mini panic attack over a haunted house-but wait. Kruller going to a haunted house?

The cop was scared of almost everything, why was he coming with Morty? Just like a mystery that had to be solved, this question had to be answered.

"I would love to know," Potter started to follow Morty. "But why is Kruller coming with you to a haunted house, and how did you get him to come?"

Morty turned around with a panicked but happy face. "It's actually pretty simple! First I asked Kruller if he wanted to come to a haunted house with me, and being his usual self, at first Kruller refused to go."

Potter couldn't see where this was going so far, but he still wanted to know how Kruller got on board with going to a haunted house, or maybe bribed... maybe.

"But then I gave an offer that Kruller could simply not refuse!" Morty did a long dramatic pause, only Potter's slightly annoyed expression made him resume.

"I told Kruller that he could concur his fear of almost anything by going to a haunted house!" Morty cheered to himself, Potter only giving the director a stare of confusion. How would a haunted house make things better for Kruller?

"Anyway, the place is about two hours away, and we're going to be late. I got a free ticket on the house, and... do you want to come?"

Potter's comfort zone is a quiet Garden Suites, but maybe floating out of his said comfort zone might keep Kruller calmer. After all, it didn't take a Johnny to know Kruller was cowardly.

"Come with you? Well of course!" Potter agreed. "But where is Kruller?" Morty stopped what he was doing and realized that even he didn't know where the mall cop was.

Thankfully, said mall cop was coming out of the elevator, putting on a backpack that was full of books, snacks and other road trips essentials. Road trip. Potter completely forgot about that, but if he could help Kruller overcome his fear of almost everything, he'd go.

But it wasn't as cool as Potter thought it would be.

Two hours in a tiny car with Morty and Kruller who wouldn't shut up almost the whole drive. Kruller kept on asking his two coworkers on tips to stay calm during this event, but Morty was a whole other problem.

He was worse than Kruller, except that unlike the cop, he would only ramble on and on and on about his future movie plans, and since that's what he almost always talks about, it bored both Potter and Kruller.

"And then Courtney will stumble upon a lottery ticket that always has a winning number on it! The plot is marvelous! What do you think?" Morty expected his fellow road trip buddies to respond, but his lore on movies put the two to sleep.

Or at least that what Morty thought. Potter pretended to be asleep just so he wouldn't have to listen to movie lore anymore. It made Potter feel like a young boy again to fake sleep.

At least everyone wouldn't have to listen to Morty and Kruller anymore, they were already getting really annoying. Also, fake sleeping actually began to make Potter tired and he slept the rest of the car ride.

Morty followed the destined path to the haunted house, and I lead the car to the dark and creepy woods. An unsettling feeling rose in Morty, but it also made him excited. Whoever decided to put this haunted house in this area was a genius!

Alas, the house itself was getting closer and it drew Morty's attention away from the woods and to the house instead. The setting looked... familiar. Morty knew he had seen this house before.

Deciding to ignore his thoughts, Morty decided to wake up Potter and Kruller. The two were sleeping so peacefully, but then again, Morty didn't buy his extra tickets for nothing.

"Hey, wake up." Morty gently shook Kruller and put earmuffs on himself and Potter without waking him up. When Kruller saw the setting he was in, he'd freak out so much that it wouldn't be the best way for Potter to wake up.

Noise, noise and more noise. Morty hoped that his earmuffs were enough to save his nonexistent eardrums from bursting.

"We're here? Great I-" Kruller groaned from awakening, but paused as he realized, they were here, surrounded by the creepy woods.

"AHHHH!" Kruller screeched in horror at the sight of the absolutely terrifying setting. The earmuffs on Potter weren't enough to keep him from hearing Kruller's outburst.

"Calm down Kruller!" Potter consoled the cop. "Morty just might be right, you can overcome your fear of everything if you go through this haunted house!"

Potter's motivating words didn't help Kruller not even a little bit, instead he grabbed a bunch of calming pills and put them in his mouth. Potter and Morty didn't exactly have the highest hopes for their friend.

"Listen Kruller..." Potter soothingly voiced. "You can come with us or stay here. But we don't want you to miss out on an event that you'll remember forever, in a good way. Now come along boy, want to go to a haunted house?"

Kruller stopped blubbering like a baby and looked at his friend, and then the house. It did look quite scary, but Potter was right. He just wanted Kruller to experience something not everyone could do.

"All right! I'm going in!" Kruller got up and strutted to the entrance with a confident look on his face. Maybe it would be easier to go through this haunted house, especially when the group saw E. Gadd at the entrance.

Wait, E. Gadd?

Confusion flooded Morty, Kruller and Potter as they watched E. Gadd run the haunted house. It seemed that E. Gadd was in charge of the entire business on account of him commanding everyone around him.

"The sixth haunted mansion tour is starting shortly! Be sure to get a spot in it before th-" E. Gadd noticed his employees from the hotel. "Kruller! Morty! Potter! You made it! I never knew that you would tag along with these two." The professor smiled at Potter.

"I wanted to help Kruller get over his fear of everything! So uh, do you run this place?" Potter asked E. Gadd.

"I do indeed! In fact, all the spectral actions in the mansion is due to the ghosts from one of Luigi's first adventures!"

"Wait," Morty asked his boss. "What do you mean by adventure?" All three ghosts got interested.

"Couple years ago, Luigi adventured a mansion that was under King Boo's control, and almost all of the ghosts there were hypnotized, just like you guys."

"Okay?"

"When Luigi defeated King Boo, all of the ghosts lost their home, and I decided to give them a new one, and every year on Halloween we turn the place into a haunted mansion with the ghosts being the stars that scare everyone."

"So we are about to be scared by a bunch of ghosts that Luigi fought years ago?"

"That's the gist of it! You know, for a-" E. Gadd spoke but was interrupted by a loudspeaker calling for everyone who was in tour six of the haunted house. The ghost group was in group six and it was time for them to enter the mansion.

A young human woman stood on a platform in front of the guests. She was wearing a red vest with a white shirt and black pants. And most importantly, an evil smile.

"Welcome visitors to E. Gadd's haunted mansion! A place full of screams and shouts!" The woman's peppy nature made people even more excited.

"Now you must know the rules. Rule number one! Don't ever go to the white doors that are blocked off by do not enter signs! You must remember, some people actually live here, so do as told!"

The tour group gave a nod of agreement, and then the woman went on.

"Rule number two! Do not stay in one room for too long, be sure to go on to the next room as instructed when it's time to leave. And this is not a rule, but there are some parts of the mansion that require you to run, or float-run. Does everyone understand?"

Everyone, including Kruller, smiled as a way to tell the woman that they understood.

"You may bleed- I mean proceed!" The woman lead the tour group to the doors and closed the entrance doors behind them. Potter took one look at his cop friend, and he saw the confident and braveness had escaped him.

The tour group entered a long, dark hallway with only a small chandelier illuminating the place. Soft music could be heard from some doors at the end of the hallway.

Nervous giggling broke out in the tour group, and only Kruller was left with a dreadful feeling, as if it was a shadow that covered him.

Dark hallways, probably the easiest way to scare Kruller without even trying.

But the cop knew it was time to look like a baby, there was a child in the tour group, so Kruller knew that it was time to be brave!

Drawn to the doors, the tour group went to the door and was about to open them, but all of a sudden, the lights went out and nervous giggles, laughs and murmurs came from the tour group.

WHAT'S GOING ON?! WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN?! Thoughts raced through Kruller's mind as he, although he didn't want to admit it, silently sobbed. His mind couldn't handle the haunted mansion. Maybe brave time was over and Kruller was being a baby, again.

"Brothers! I see mortals and ghosts, let us be good haunted house hosts!" Three ghoulish lights slowly creeped up on the tour group and revealed that it was three toy-like soldiers. "ATTACK!" Blue and yellow lights that imitated gunfire began to flash as these ghosts charged to the group. "WE ARE THE CLOCKWORK SOLDIERS! PREPARE TO BE PERISHED!"

The Clockwork Soldiers dashed to the visitors and a sign lit up on the wall that had an arrow leading them to the next room. While everyone was giggling with anticipation as they were being chased, only Kruller was still sobbing quietly as they made their way onto the next room. He was scared of the gunfire noise the room made.

"Why did I agree to come with you?!" Kruller whisper-screamed to Morty, who made an apologetic face to his friend to show him how sorry he was. Dr. Potter was honestly enjoying himself- if not for Kruller's nonstop crying.

The new room that the group made to had something to it, it wasn't giving a haunted house vibe, and at least this room had an actual good effect on Kruller. The room calmed him down a little!

The little area had spinning circles that Potter guessed was a small dancing area. The tour group gasped in awe at the beauty of the room, only fit for someone rich, or just someone who put so much beauty in a such tiny ballroom. Soft piano music filled everyone's ears, and it made them calmer after the chase of the Clockwork Soldiers.

"Hahaha!" A small chuckle was heard by the group, seemingly interrupting the moment of calmness, and it seemed to be coming from the center of the room, the dance floor. "Could it be?! Visitors! Scary us they shall see!"

Two ghosts appeared on the dance floor like everyone thought, one woman and one man, they gracefully danced as the guests watched. But suddenly, the room began to literally spin at a fast pace. Even for some ghosts it was becoming hard to stay balanced.

"Oh, we are the Floating Whirlindas, masters on the dance floor!" The man grinned. "When we're done with you, you'll be begging for no more!" The room spun even faster, and while nearly everyone was delighted with the experience, only Kruller stayed sad.

"Run while you can fools! Run!" The Floating Whirlindas deviously cackled for their role in this haunted mansion, and all they could do was cackle.

"To the next room all of you! This haunted house you need to go through!" The woman chased the group into the next room. By now, Morty, Potter and everyone else in tour group six was beginning to see the pattern of this haunted mansion.

"Kruller," Potter whispered. "All this haunted house is going to do is a ghost appears, they do a little scare and chase you!" He wanted his cop friend to see that the same thing was going to happen over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and- okay I'll stop.

"You know what?" Kruller brightened up a tiny bit. "That doesn't sound scary when you put it like that! I'm- I don't feel scared anymore!" The people that were eavesdropping on the conversation sighed with relief knowing that the sobbing, sniffling and crying would be over, and maybe for real this time!

The new room that everyone was chased into was smaller than the ballroom, but it was a lot more charming. A couple of instruments lay perfectly on their stands, only a piano in the center of the room made people mesmerized.

It was cleaner, shinier, and had a flare of favorite to it. Whoever cared for the instruments obviously loved the piano the most out of his/her instruments.

"This room is very elegant!" Morty exclaimed. "The professor did an amazing job creating this setting!"

Piano music started playing suddenly, and whoever was, definitely put effort in the piece. But there was a question to be asked and answered; who was playing the music?

"This room is not a set; this is not all you will get!" A female ghost appeared on the piano bench and smiled at the group, who was actually surprised that this ghost didn't start her intro off with something evil.

"My name is Melody Pianissima, and I am the beautiful pianist! I'll give you a scare that is beautiful and balanced!" Melody played a fast tune that at first everyone wasn't scared of, but as it got louder and louder, faster and faster, the surrounding instruments came to life and all played at once.

"SO LOUD! CAN'T HEAR A THING!" It was getting so loud that it was becoming the scariest thing the mansion had provided so far! Melody kept playing her music until a sign appeared on the wall, directing the group to go the doors right behind the piano.

"They all save the best for last! I hope you all have had a blast!" Melody finished her song as the doors closed slowly while the final group member exited the room.

"I NEVER WANT TO DO THAT EVER AGAIN!" Kruller shouted at Morty. "I thank you for taking me here, but I am too scared for this crap! Coming back here? No way!"

"Did you at least overcome some fears?" Potter asked. "I'm sure there is at least something that went well in the end."

"Er-This haunted house didn't help or fix anything!" Kruller, Morty and Potter floated to the entrance and saw E. Gadd waiting for them and was looking excited for their opinions.

"How was it?" E. Gadd smiled with anticipation. "Did Kruller get over his fears? Did you two enjoy this experience?"

"Wasn't bad but, uh, wasn't good." Morty answered the professor's question, accidentally showing a look of guilt. Then, it became clear that Kruller had a moment of cowardness.

"You don't need to tell me, I know Kruller probably wet himself, but the good part of this memory is that all three of you can remember the time you all went to E. Gadd's Mansion."

"Sure, we'll remember."

...

"My guess is that there was a kid in your group who had gotten less scared than Kruller huh?"

"I never talk bad about anyone... Okay maybe yeah."

"I am unsure if this good qualify as a 'Happy Halloween' but whatever." The three ghosts got into their car and left the mansion, ready to get back to the drama at the Last Resort Hotel.

Or in this case, a Halloween Hotel.

Wow! I took weeks writing this story, and I'm proud of myself! Have a Happy Halloween everyone!
