Okay, one thing that BF really doesn't appreciate from modders is when he gets fucking killed in the mod. I mean, for god's sake, what's the need to do that?!

Yeah, despite the fact that he's supposed to have the ability to be able to restart a song if he loses, if the mod story says he should die then there's not much to do.

But was it really necessary to have his fucking head bitten off?

BF is still not quite sure what the hell that whole fiasco with the faceless guy and the giant lizard was all about, but if he's still conscious and with the mic still in his hand then that only means one thing.

It looks like there are still things left to do.

...But what exactly?

It's not that BF doesn't know how to proceed in this kind of situation, mostly because experience over the past two years has taught him that it's usually his opponents who come to him.

But what is he supposed to do when the only thing around him is infinite blackness?

"Where... Where the hell am I?" the boy asked, trying to peer beyond the total darkness surrounding him. There doesn't seem to be even the faintest source of light. Only a gloom that almost seemed to want to devour him.

He then begins to take a few breaths to try to calm the fear that threatens to run through his body. Keeping a calm mind in the face of adversity is the best thing he can do at times like this.

After all, he's been through worse, a little darkness shouldn't be a major risk.

With that thought giving him back some confidence, BF tightens his grip on his microphone a little more. It's something he usually does to keep himself calm when he's stressed, after all, it's his most prized and beloved possession.

So what should he do now?

BF takes a quick glance at his surroundings again, being greeted once more with total darkness. He starts walking forward without any specific direction, just hoping to run into a wall or something that could help guide him on his way.

Minutes pass and eventually the midget gives up as he realizes that there seems to be absolutely nothing around him.

It is as if he is in some kind of...Void.

There isn't even any kind of ground visible. It seems as if he is simply floating in nothingness.

With his brow furrowed in thought and a hand to his chin, BF starts tapping the (empty?) ground with his foot following the rhythm of a song in his mind.

He begins to consider the possible scenarios he might be in, trying to rummage through his memories of so many adventures for something that might help him decipher what's going on. Unfortunately, he comes up with nothing really useful, and dropping his head and shoulders in defeat, he plops down on the ground cross-legged. It's not worth standing around all the time if he's not going to get anything out of it anyway.

So what options are left to him now?

There's clearly nothing around to help guide him, so getting out of here seems out of the window.

Try to force a rap battle? Nah, without the instrumental the game wouldn't detect it as a finished song.

This would be a lot easier if his girlfriend and her crazy demonic powers were there to help him...

With a sigh and some regret, BF rests his head on his free hand while with the other he starts twirling the microphone in an attempt to keep himself distracted.

He spends several minutes doing this, simply keeping his mind distracted from any sort of worry as he hums one of the many songs he has learned on his adventures.

"Boop, bop, bap beep boop~" BF begins to slowly drift off to the melody. Suddenly, the ominous silence around him doesn't seem so bad anymore if it allows him to focus even more on continuing his song.

It's funny, because in his early days BF could have been considered brainless and dense. Reckless, even. But as time went by and after so many experiencies, the boy learned to appreciate the quiet moments a little more and not to rap against the first living thing that crosses his path.

He's still addicted to singing, of course. But at least now he's able to distinguish between a friendly battle and one in which he's screwed if he loses.

With a small smile, BF opens his eyes once again now that he has finished his little song, suddenly noticing a detail he had missed a little earlier.

"...Why is my hand gray?" The midget's tone of voice was a mix between skepticism and resignation.

BF begins to look himself up and down to realize that, with the exception of his microphone, his entire body has changed color to a strange greenish-gray. Even his clothes have changed shade.

He begins to question his new change in appearance. Does it have something to do with where he is? Maybe he can get a clue if he finds out.

However, no halfway coherent or logical idea to try to explain his color change crosses his mind. The only plausible explanation he can come up with is that he may have been transported back to that Mickey 'My girlfriend cheated on me' Mouse mod, but that's also unlikely because he's never encountered anything like the void he's in. Besides, he has never been transported from one mod to another without having gone through all the available songs before, and he doubts very much that this case is an exception.

Speaking of which, shouldn't he have started a song a long time ago?

BF hadn't noticed it until now, but it's been quite a while since he got to that void and there's been no sign of his supposed opponent anywhere. He's clearly on the stage of a battle, otherwise he wouldn't have his mic with him.

But then why hasn't the song started?

He gets up from the floor and stretches a bit, trying to think of the reasons for the lack of music around him.

Could there have been an error with the engine? Maybe that's why he's in that place and the song hasn't started. Of course, usually when the game crash he just feels 'asleep' for a few minutes before getting back to the action, but maybe this engine handles things differently-

"...I'm Deaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!"

Startled, BF lets out a great (and shrill) scream at the appearance of a sudden voice. Still without even turning to see who it is, panic seizes him at the very creepy and disturbing tone of whoever it was that spoke to him.

Squeezing his microphone tightly to try to contain the terrible fear that crosses his entire being, BF begins to turn around slowly until he is face to face with-

"What in the actual fuck?!" Is all the blue-haired boy can say as he fully contemplates thethingin front of him.

A dismembered person with totally gray skin. Nerve endings and bones protruding from what were once his arms and legs. A fluid (blood?) as black as tar flows in thin streams through the empty sockets where its eyes should be.

The mere presence of the person in front of him causes all the alarms in BF's body to go off, and the ominous sound of background music begins to play indicating that the battle is about to begin.

Holding his microphone and trying to strike a confident pose but failing in the process, BF prepares for the impending confrontation.

The first notes are sung by the person in front of him. His voice sounds so muffled and empty that each lyric only sends shivers down BF's spine, and watching his opponent open his mouth at impossible angles in order to sing does nothing to help calm his panic.

Despite this, BF replicates his opponent's notes trying to keep his clouded judgment from preventing him from singing the notes correctly. He just has to concentrate on that and this nightmare will end-

Suddenly, BF's vision turns a blood-like reddish hue, and a bunch of strange symbols with eyes of the same crimson hue appear in front of him.

Panicking, the poor boy realizes to his misfortune that this is all about mechanics, and judging by the fact that he's not able to sing means that unless he gets rid of whatever these things are he won't be able to get very far in the song.

With adrenaline kicking in, BF quickly begins to think of a way to solve this problem. Maybe the symbols are a message to be deciphered?

While his opponent continues to sing, the blue-balled midget takes advantage of those precious seconds to try to understand the meaning of the message in front of him.

After the longest seconds of his entire life, he realizes that the symbols are reminiscent of letters of the alphabet, and seeing that the dismembered man seems to be about to finish his turn, BF resorts to the only thing he can think of at the moment.

Say the message out loud.

"Leave hurry!"

Immediately after his words, the symbols disappear and his vision returns to normal just in time to be able to sing the next lyrics of the song.

BF can't help but let out a small sigh of relief once his turn is over. It looks like he just has to concentrate on deciphering the messages as they appear and it should be over soon.

Again his turn comes, and just as he was beginning to regain some of his confidence, the person in front of him gets dangerously close to his face, opening his mouth at a terrifyingly high angle and lets out a guttural scream at BF, who just lets out a scream of his own and misses some of the notes.

"Motherfucker that's cheating!" BF said with a hand on his chest trying to keep from having a heart attack.

Mechanics and jumpscares. This song is going to put a dent in his mental health...

The minutes tick by and BF tries his best between understanding the strange messages thrown at him and the constant screaming of the person.

Despite his initial fear, the boy has begun to be able to keep up with the song, and his expression slowly changes from one of terror to his classic cocky and confident smile.

After several more messages and shouts, BF and his opponent conclude the same way as with the faceless guy; on one long note.

It looks like this has finally come to an end...

...

...

But then…

"...Why do I keep hearing music?" BF asked, confused.

There are no more notes, so why is the instrumental still playing?

As if the universe had heard him, the gray person begins to shake violently in the air, small drops of blood shooting out of what were once his limbs at each shake.

"Oh damn not this again!" It's as if the same situation as with the red haired guy is repeating itself, and considering how that ended last time, BF does NOT want to stick around to find out what's about to happen.

Unfortunately, before he can even take a step back, one of the most disturbing scenes the poor guy has ever witnessed occurs.

The person in front of him stops flailing and looks directly at BF. Even without eyes, the person's attention is more than enough to set the boy to stone.

"No... MORE!"

That's what the dismembered man shouted before reddish eyes appeared in his once empty sockets, and with a sickening crack his neck snaps and slowly stretches, until it is completely detached from his body.

For BF's part, the poor guy is too focused on figuring out what the hell just happened to realize that the song is still going on and the same symbols from before have clouded his vision again.

The stress for BF is so great that he just closes one eye tightly and brings his hands to his head in despair and fear.

"NO MORE, PLEASE!"

Almost as if by a miracle, it seems that those words were just what he needed to say, because the symbols disappear and his eyesight returns to normal. Just as before, BF manages to sing the notes just in time.

He just has to keep going until it's all over. That's all he has to do...

The floating head in front of him now has a couple of the same symbols as before floating around it. But what terrifies BF the most is that with each note, the head distorts what little face he has left grotesquely, with even his fucking brain coming out of his mouth from time to time.

BF's turn comes, and to his misfortune the jumpscares don't stop as the head comes so dangerously close to him that it almost looks like it's going to bite him to death, only to scream with the most horrific voice.

The minutes pass and the song becomes much more chaotic, with the messages becoming more and more complicated and the guttural screams of the severed head becoming more deafening and frequent.

After the most desperate minutes of BF's life, the song now comes to its true end with both opponents concluding on one long note and one last scream from the head.

The seconds tick by and BF just watches his opponent with great tension, expecting a sudden attack at any moment in the same way as happened with the giant lizard.

...However, the attack never came.

To his surprise, the head only slowly vanishes into thin air, as if consumed by total darkness, leaving BF all alone in that infinite void.

The poor boy's legs can't take it anymore and he falls to his knees on the ground, gasping for air desperately as he tries to hold back the tears that are welling up in his eyes.

BF has been through some tough shit before, but... Having to deal with literally the mutilated corpse of a person who should have been long dead isn't... It's not something he's able to handle.

Now that the adrenaline stops coursing through his veins, the blue-haired boy collapses completely to the ground, dropping his microphone to the side.

Exhaustion begins to take over his entire body, and no matter how hard he tries to fight it, he just can't do it. Until eventually he decides to simply let exhaustion consume him.

Slowly, his eyelids close little by little until the poor kid loses consciousness in the face of so much stress.
