(A/N: I started writing this without remembering whether or not Count Dooku knew that Chancellor Palpatine was the Sith Lord, so please don't at me about that. It's also written with the assumption that Dooku looked fearful after "Dew it" because that was the same voice as his master. With that out of the way, enjoy!)
"Good Anakin, good," Chancellor Palpatine said from his chair. "Now, kill him. Kill him now."
Anakin really wanted to. He had both his and Dooku's lightsabers in his hands and at Dooku's neck. He could end this so easily. It felt like the right thing to do, but what what would the council say about him killing a defenseless man? Granted, he was a Sith Lord, but did he really want to sacrifice becoming a master Jedi? Gaining access to the archives?
"I shouldn't," Anakin finally replied. "It's not the Jedi way."
"Do it," Palpatine told Anakin in an oddly menacing way.
Maybe he should do it. He prepared to slice Dooku's neck when he suddenly turned to stare at Palpatine.
"You... you," Dooku choked out, his mouth dry, "You're my master, I recognize your voice."
"I don't know what you're talking about," Palpatine quickly shot back. "Anakin. kill him NOW."
"I...I-" Anakin sputtered.
"Anakin," Dooku said, "The Chancellor has been playing us all for fools! He is the true Sith Lord!"
"Anakin, look at me," Palpatine commanded him.
Anakin looked at him, his sabers starting to drop.
"Anakin," Palpatine continued, "Would I ever lie to you?"
"Anakin," Dooku pleaded, "Please listen to me. Chancellor Palatine is the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Kill me if you must, but at least take Palpatine in."
