When Omega arrived on Mos Eisely, she could immediately tell what Cid had warned her about. The people here were ruthless and dangerous. As she walked towards the nearest bar, she suddenly felt very conscious of how unthreatening she looked. This made her stand out and she got more than a few stares. As she was walking she saw something glinting on the ground. She walked over to it and picked it up. It was a helmet of some sort, looking to be made for a smaller-than-average species with a voice modulator inside to translate into basic. Omega dusted the helmet off and tried it on. It fit quite well, and with a few tweaks, she had learned from Tech she was able to modify the voice box so it made her voice gruffer and deeper instead of translating.
With the helmet on, Omega felt more confident as she walked into the bar. Not wanting to draw any unwanted attention, she moved casually toward where the bartender was working, trying to appear as if she knew where she was going. The bartender looked up as she approached, he was not human, but Omega had never encountered anyone from his species before. His skin was a reddish brown and he had two sets of arms which, she supposed was good for making drinks. Omega asked him,
"You know where I can find work around here?" surprised at how her voice sounded even though she had heard the modified version only moments before. The bartender looked slightly confused but gestured to a holo net at the back of the room. Omega nodded in thanks before heading towards the holo net.
When she got there she realized it was a list of bounties. She hesitated. Being a bounty hunter was not what she had in mind when she asked Cid about work, but there didn't seem to be any other options. She decided that as long as she didn't take jobs that compromised her morals it would be ok.
Flipping through the options she settled on one that best matched her skillset. It didn't pay much, but it would be enough. She wasn't about to take any unnecessary risks right off the bat.
