Chap.2
*Timeskip 1/2 hours later
"Where are all the weapons?!" Yelena shouted as she looked through all the boxes.
"We don't need weapons. This is an information mission." I told her,
"We always need weapons. God, I should've brought my things! I didn't because I thought there would be supplies here! Like they said there would be!" She said, putting her head in her hands.
I sighed and walked over to her, "It's not the end of the world Lena."
"It is. And don't call me Lena." She said, standing up and pointing her finger in my face.
"Then don't call me Katie." I said smirking.
She huffed, "Whatever, let's get this over with, Katie." She mumbled the last part as she she walked out the helicopter.
"I heard that, Lena." I smiled as she let out frustarted groans.
*Timeskip 30 mins
"There is absolutly nothing here. I'm starting to think this is a set up to make us leave." Yelena complained as she kicked a crate on the floor.
"I agree. This is really boring for a first mission."
"Yeah, but now that we know nothing is here. Let's explore." She said, a mishevious grin spreading across her face.
"I don't think that's a good idea." I said warily.
"Come on Kate Bishop! It'll be cool. I mean this is a Hyrda Base! There has to be cool stuff here!" She begged, shaking my shoulders.
"Alright. I guess we can." I said giving in to the temptation.
I mean, how often can you explore a Hydra Base?
"Yes! Come on!" She grabbed my wrist and dragged my into the opposite direction.
*Timeskip 15 mins
"I give up. This place is so boring!" Yelena groaned,
"Yeah, this was a waste of time." I concluded, leaning against a wall.
"Totally. We better get new and cooler missions in the future." Yelena said, leaning against the other wall.
But once she leaned back, the wall disapeared and she fell to the ground on the other side.
I immediently shot to her side, "Are you okay?" I asked sticking my hand out.
"Yeah." She got up, "What the heck was that?"
"I don't know. The wall just..vanished."
"I know that. But why? We should explore."
"I don't think we should Lena. I have a bad feeling." I told her,
"A bad feeling? Seriously Kate Bishop? Come on! We could find some important things! Imagine how proud the Avengers would be of us!"
"Alright, alright."
"Yes- come on!"
We walked through the corridors of the secret passage for about 5 minutes.
"I think we should head back Lena. We aren't going to find anything." I said, the bad feeling in my gut coming back.
"Don't be such a baby Kate Bishop. You can go back if you really want to. But I'm staying to look around more." She said, walking away.
I groaned, but nonetheless followed after her. If you can't stop em', join em'.
And Natasha did say to keep an eye out for her. If something happened to Yelena on my watch I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
Don't tell her I said that.
"You know you should really listen to her. It might do you some good."
