She woke up at 6 in the morning, her body just as sore and tortured as the night before. She didn't recall having fallen asleep or Beau coming out of the bathroom, even though she was in a normal position in bed and covered. Unless she had done it automatically during the night without realizing it, he must have done it for her.

She slid off the bed and headed for the bathroom. She turned the shower on and as it got to the right temperature, she removed her bra and skirt. She looked at herself in the mirror. She had bruise marks on her arms, ankles, and wrists. Her inner thighs weren't in better shape.

She dressed, making sure to wear long sleeves to hide the bruises, she didn't want Seth or Martha to worry about her, or any other doctor she crossed paths with during her shift.

She walked down the stairs slowly. Everything was quiet in the house, and she assumed that Beau had left already, and she felt relieved. She entered the kitchen and saw him standing at the kitchen island, in uniform, drinking a cup of coffee.

Upon seeing her, he smiled and put his cup of coffee down. She eyed him from the corner of her eye and saw him walk over to the dining room table.

He headed back toward her with a bouquet of red roses in his hand. When he had gotten them, she didn't know. Maybe, they had been there last night, but she hadn't paid attention, or he found a way to get them in town at one of the shops that opened early.

"Olivia, I'm really sorry baby," he said still holding the roses in his hand as he moved up his other hand toward the side of her face. He saw her flinch as his finger caressed her cheek.

"Baby, I need you to forgive me. I don't know what got over me last night. I hadn't seen you for a couple of days and the only thing I wanted was show you how much I'd missed you. When you pushed me away… I don't know, I saw red, and I lost control of my words, my actions… I promise it won't happen again."

Seeing she wasn't taking the roses from him, he placed them on the kitchen island, then put his arms around her and pulled her into him. She couldn't return the embrace. Every inch of her body was screaming to get away.

After a few minutes he let her go and she gave him a weak smile.

"I need to get to work," she said as she headed for one of the kitchen stools and grabbed her bags.

"I don't want you to be mad at me," he said still standing where he had been. "I'll make it up to you. I'll take you out tonight."

She didn't have the strength to tell him right there and then that it was over, and she was smart enough to know that it wasn't the right moment to either. After what he had done to her the previous night, there was need to rock the boat even more. When things got back to normal, then she would tell him it was time to part ways.

"Ok."

He smiled upon hearing her answer and watched as she left the kitchen. A few minutes later, he heard the front door close shut.

In the locker room, she had been lucky to be alone as she changed before a few new interns came in and started to get ready in a rush. She looked at her watch… Yep… if they didn't hurry up, Doctors Innobella and Crespo would give them a hard time.

Just as Seth came in, who was more than happy to do his shift with Livi, even if he was pulling a 24 hour shift, a few interns bumped into him and into her as she stood next to her locker.

She let out an 'ouch' as one of them bumped into her upper arm.

"Hey! watch it!" yelled Seth back at them as he reached Livi.

"Are you OK?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Over did it at the gym."

Jokingly Seth put his hand out on her arm and squeezed it to see her muscle tone and she winced.

"Hope you didn't pull a muscle," he said.

"Ah, don't worry, a couple of days and it will all go back to normal. But I've learned my lesson."

He changed as she grabbed her things and stethoscope from her locker.

"Did you think any more about what we talked about?" he asked her cautiously.

"I'm going to break up with Beau."

"OK and what about hot and hunky Lieutenant?"

He saw the look in her eye and knew she was at a crossroad faced with an impossible dilemma.

"I think that ship has sailed, Seth."

"He left Guam?"

She lifted her shoulders. "Not that I know of, but after what I did to him, what I said, I can expect him to come back."

"Livi, you were protecting his career, if you tell him that, he'll understand."

She closed her locker and walked over to the door.

"Sometimes that isn't enough," she said as she gave Seth one last look before disappearing into the hallway.

As he sat and finished getting dressed, something hit him. He turned toward the door and looked at it. Since when did Livi go to the gym?

He hurried to tie his shoes and ran after her.

He took her hand and pulled Liv away from the nurse's station in the direction of the medical supply room.

Martha ogled him.

"Girl talk," he said as he smiled and pushed Liv inside the room.

The minute the door was closed he turned and looked at her.

"What are you not telling me?"

"Nothing. Why?"

"You don't go to the gym. You swim, you play tennis, you jog on the beach, but you've never signed up to a gym."

He narrowed his eyes.

"And never lie. So, my question is valid, what are you not telling me?"

Seeing she didn't respond, he took her hand in his to show her she could talk to him, that he was there for her. As he did, the cuff of her sleeve lifted, and he saw it.

"What the…?"

He lifted the cuff higher up with his other hand. His eyes grew big, and he gasped, before his eyes darted to hers.

"Livi…"

She smiled. "It's OK Seth, we just got a bit carried away last night."

"I thought you just told me that you were breaking up with him."

"Yes, but he ported yesterday, and he was there when I got back home… One thing led to another; you know how it is."

"Are you sure?"

She gently removed his hands from her arm and scrubs. "Yes. Stop worrying about it. It's not like you can stand there and tell me you never got carried away dancing in the sheets with some hot barista."

He smiled and nodded. "Granted. Just be careful. Your body is precious Livi, don't want anything to happen to it."

She planted a kiss on his cheek then walked out.

He passed a hand in his hair feeling stupid for having put her on the spot and making her talk about her sex-life.
