"Katie! I'm back!" I called out to her when I walked into our apartment.
"Lena, don't call me Katie. How many times do I have to tell you I don't like being called that?" Kate said, walking down the stairs.
"And I don't like being called Lena, so we're even." I told her, smirking. Earning an eye roll from her.
"Besides, you love it when I say it."
"Hah hah, you're so funny." She said sarcastically.
"I know." I replied.
"What are we going to do today?" Kate asked,
"Don't be silly now." I continued,"You Know good and well what we're going to do today." I told her, smiling.
"I knew you were going to say that."
"Of course, you know me. Maybe you should go get dressed." I suggested,
"Okay." She replied, before going upstairs to get changed.
After a while I also went upstairs to get my outfit.
A Few Moments Later...
"Are you ready to go?" I asked her, when we both got downstairs.
"Yeah, just give me a second. I need to grab extra arrows." She told me.
"Okay." I responded,
"Great now we can go." She said, walking up to me.
"Then what are we waiting for?" I said,
"We're waiting for you to open the door." Kate said, nonchalantly.
"Oh, right."
"Got my eye on the target." Kate Bishop said, over the comms.
"But don't you have two eyes?" I asked,
"Yea- yes, yes. I do have two eyes. Why?" She asked, confused.
"Well, you tell me Kate Bishop. If you have two eyes, why only use one?" I asked her,
"Sometimes, it just depends on the item you are using. Like I said you have to-"
"Okay Kate Bishop. I was just messing with you. I'm not stupid I know how to use bow." I told her, laughing through the comms.
"Something is wrong with you Yelena Belova."
"I know. Now take the shot and stop procrastinating."
"I- I'm not even procrastinating. You talked to me first. Which caused me to get distracted. Which then eventually resulted in-"
"Kate Bishop! He's getting away!" I shouted, running after him.
"You know, you don't have to yell. You're literally in my ear."
"Just- whatever. We have to get him!"
"Okay Okay. I'm coming."
5 minutes of chasing the guy later..
*Huff *Huff *Huff
*Sigh
"Ugh! We've been running for hours! We lost him!" Kate shouted out, laying on the ground.
"Kate Bishop, get off the ground. We've only been running for 5 minutes." I said, also a little bit out of breath.
"It felt like hours! I think my lungs might collapse!"
"You're so dramatic. Come on." I said, pulling my hand out for her. "Just leave him, we'll get him later."
"Alright. Maybe we could-" She stopped talking to look around.
"What? What's wrong?" I asked, as she started looking above her and towards the rooftops.
"There's someone here." She whispered, pulling out her bow.
That sentence was all I needed to hear before I pulled my gun out.
"Hey! Who's out there!" I yelled. "Don't play with us now! Show yourself!"
It was quiet for a moment..
Too quiet.
"Hey. Don't shoot." Someone said, making themselves known. "Trust me you don't want to do that."
"Who is that?" Kate muttered, so only I heard her.
"I'm not sure." I replied.
Soon, more than one of them emerged from the rooftops, landing on the ground.
Surrounding us.
"We have a lot to discuss.."
"Yelena Belova.."
Cliffhanger!
