"We have a lot to discuss.."

"Yelena Belova.."

"It's the Avengers." Kate whispered to me,

"I know."

"What do you think they want?"

"That I don't know. But be ready to run."

"Got it. Both of us? Or just me? Do you have a plan?"

"Yes. On my signal you run up to the top of that building where you stashed your extra bow and arrows. I want you to hit all the lights as fast as you can, and use your little string arrow thing and get us both out of here. Understand?"

"Sure- I mean yeah- yes. I understand."

"Good. On my signal."

"Got it, but what is your sig-"

"Are you guys done with your little back and forth chatter? Because if you are then we would really like to get to business."

"That is Iron Man AKA Tony Stark. That rich playboy." Kate told me.

"I know who he is." I said,

"Shut up Stark!" I yelled, venom laced with my words as I put my hand on my gun.

"Woah! Let's just calm down now, how about that?" The man with the shield said, putting his hands up.

"Who is that?" I asked Kate,

"That is Steve Rogers AKA Captain America. The super soldier who was stuck in the ice for like 70 years."

"Ohh. I know, I just didn't realize he would be so... Patriotic."

"Comes with the name I guess." Kate mentioned, giggling at the statement.

I was obviously laughing with her just not about what she said. No, I was laughing at his costume, all of their costumes actually...

"What- what's so funny?" The boy in blue asked,

"I- I'm so sorry- It's just- You guys got all dressed up for us. In- In your little halloween costumes, it's cute. Я просто шучу, вы, ребята, выглядите смешно...(I'm just kidding, you guys look funny)" I pointed out, laughing between my words.

"Ты серьезно смеешься над нашей одеждой, когда твой маленький друг одет в светло-фиолетовое?(Are you seriously laughing at our clothes when your little friend is wearing light purple?)" The Black Widow said, looking over at Kate.

"Hey, leave my costume out of it." Kate muttered just loud enough for them to hear, as she threw her arms in front of her top in a criss-cross manner.

"Yeah, you don't get to talk about her outfit. She made it herself. And it isn't even light purple, it's darker than that." I expressed defensively, throwing my arm in front of Kate so she stood behind me.

"Wow, did you teach her Russian?" She asked,

"Yes. But she also took time to learn it herself. What about it?" I said, not liking how she is talking about Kate. And ready to say the signal at any given moment.

"Nothing. Just impressed she picked up on it so fluently." She replied,

"Can we revert this conversation back to the reason we came here? Please." The American Captain asked, putting his shield on his back.

"Yeah, go ahead Cap." The Widow replied,

"You see Yelena, we just wanted to come here to talk, not start an argument." He said, looking at Stark and The Widow.

"If you just wanted to talk then why did you all bring weapons?" I raised my left eyebrow.

"That was just a precaution. I swear, we mean no harm at all." He repeated, putting his arms up, but slowly putting them back down after.

"Now?" Kate whispered, from behind me.

"Not yet, крошечный лучник.(tiny archer)" I smirked, making sure I was quiet so the Avengers won't hear me.

"You do know that I am taller than you, right?"

"Are you calling me short?" I asked, turning away from the Avengers to look at Kate.

"What-? No- no! I am not! I-I'm just pointing out a very obvious observation!" She defended quietly of course.

"I think you are referring to me as short, Кейт Бишоп.(Kate Bishop)" I said, totally forgetting about our little audience.

"What are they talking about?" Clint whispered to all them,

"I have no idea." Nat replied,

"Do you think they forgot about us or something?" Sam added,

"Um- Excuse me! Can we please focus on the original topic, please?" Steve spoke up, knocking me and Kate out of our.. Whatever this was.

"Sure, whatever you want Captain. Do you want some fresh lemonade while I'm at it?" I felt Kate Bishop lightly slap me at that comment. But I didn't care. The Avengers shouldn't be able to boss us around like that.

"Yelena! We are just here to talk. So please just refrain from the sarcastic back talk." The Black Widow said,

"Fine." I mumbled, "But there is something else I should say.."

"What is it?" Natasha asked,

"POOL NOODLE!" I yelled,

Everyone was quiet and visibly confused.

"I said.. POOL NOODLE!" I repeated,

"What does that mean?" Kate asked,

"The signal! That's the signal." I told her.

"Why is it pool noodle?" She asked,

I turned around and led her a little farther away from the Avengers.

"What does pool noodle mean?" Tony questioned.

"I have no idea." Cap responded.

"I don't know why it's pool noodle. It just is. I couldn't think of anything else." I whispered,

"Well why didn't you just tell me what the signal was beforehand, so that I wouldn't be confused?"

"I- I don't know Kate Bishop! I didn't really think this through."

"Well that explains it." She replied,

"What does that mean?"

"I- No-! Not like that! It- it's just that-"

"Okay. Since this conversation is not going anywhere. I'll just go on and say it." Cap continued, "I want to invite you, Yelena, to Stark Tower. We have much to discuss. You can bring your friend if you have to. 6 o'clock, tomorrow. I hope that we'll see you there." He finished,

"Goodbye Yelena." Natasha nodded, "Kate."

And with that they were gone.
