In light of both my past controversies and current world events, I would like to make the following statement condemning antisemitism. Among harsh critics of Israel it is a common refrain that we must distinguish the Jewish people and the Israeli state, and now is a good time to do exactly that.

- Bigotry in all forms is wrong. No Jewish person should be discriminated against because of their own faith/ethnicity or because of the actions of Israel.

- No Jew is obligated to be either loyal or disloyal to Israel. All people should be judged solely on the basis of their words and actions as individuals - and how their individual actions impact those around them. A Jewish name should provoke neither a positive nor negative reaction when you hear it; as MLK's famous phrase goes, always judge by the content of a person's character.

- Antisemitism is disgusting. Judaism is a vast and rich cultural treasure that should be valued by society, not attacked and belittled the way it has recently. In my ideal world there will always be a place for observant Jews to practice and proudly proclaim their faith.

- The "Black Hebrew Israelites" have no basis in historicity and are not Jewish.

- Kanye West is a fucking moron.
