Orange.

Autumn hit Mistral with a force unforeseen. Rainstorms, cold squalls, and early migration. Black Chokeberry Trees in the mountains lit the hillsides ablaze in orange, red, and yellow leaves. A fire without flame, burning across the landscape. October brought upon this change, miracle of nature, and it was the stumping grounds of a young man in his teens. Leaves danced in the winds, disturbed by the presence of this teenager. He kicked off a tree, delivering a flying roundhouse kick to a wolflike beast. Its jaw snapped in half, and he followed the kick as he landed with a strong straight punch to the beast's chest. The monster exploded into black dust, making the unbuttoned blue jacket of the teen flutter. His orange, long-sleeved shirt, with mesh underneath fluttering as well. His black cargo pants, with three different pouches positioned near the hips, and very back. He removed his hood, revealing blonde hair, bright as the sun. His foxlike ears twitched, picking up noises around him. They detected more coming. All he gave away was a toothy smirk.

In his human ears was headphones, playing a soft metal remake of an older song. Little V Mill's remake of Running Up That Hill blasted into his ears. His azure eyes watched as two others of the beasts charged at him! Orange, red, and yellow flowed around the area. Leafy ocean waves, the teen's hands positioned in front of him. He blocked the slash from the first beast, ducking under the follow up, and gave a few boxing jabs into the monster's face. Its teeth broke, its snout shattered, and the side kick blasted him into the fellow beast trying to leap over it. Both of them tumbled the broken beast disintegrating into black dust. Putting his hand into the right pouch, the teen grabbed metal wire. He pulled it tight, running toward the beast, and leaped over its head. The wires wrapping around its neck, he pulled hard beheading it.

His fox ears picked up a screech, he looked up to see a large flying birdlike beast. He put the wires away, watching as the beast came closer. Its wings flapping, stopping it midair. Dozens of sharp feathers rend the air, whistling as they sped toward the teen. He just rolled his eyes, tossing a knife with two prongs on the sides, back behind him. Disappearing in an orange flash, he emerged where the knife was sticking out of a tree. The tree protected him from view, making the large beast fly over him.

Another of the wolflike creatures attempted to attack him off guard. Instead of the teen tossed the knife up, teleporting upwards to allow the monster to smash headfirst into the tree. Landing on its back, he quickly severed its spine, making it disappear into black dust. Reaching into rear pouch, he pulled a case out with three green crystals in it. The Crystals were labeled, "Wind," and he selected one. He heard the screech, the beast trying to scare him out of hiding!

Placing a green crystal in a little slot in the knife, winds suddenly burst around him. The knife transforming into the hilt of a wind sword. The beast soaring above became aware, diving down to do another feather bombing. The blonde teen stepped out, slashing upwards into the air. The beast's eyes widened, its wings separated from its body, making it fall into the ground. It indented the ground with its frame, but before it could gather any footing its head was pierced by the wind sword. Dashing forward, he made leaves around him swirl from the wind of his sword. He located his target, a wagon, and made it there just in time to watch as a demon wolf was dragging a woman out of it to devore. He leapt, positioning his body upside down, and twisted. He twirled, landing opposite of the beast, which then fell to pieces.

The woman, breathing hard, climbed back into the wagon. She looked at the teen, shaking slightly, and raised a finger. Grunting the teen saw a large apelike beast push two small trees aside. He gave a grunt of frustration, reaching into his left pouch. He pulled out two more knives, this time single bladed with no prongs. He made them glow as a sigil of a fox appeared on the hilt's clothed wrap exterior. He threw them hard, making them whistle towards their target. They began to close in on each other the closer they got. Until, right before impacting the ape demon, they impacted each other. Sparks flew off the blades, which flew in opposite directions. The beast was confused, looking around for the teen!

The teen appeared in an orange flash in front of it, his body twisted before slinging his sword across his view's horizon. Loud bellowing from the demon confirmed the fatal wound as its neck flapped open, it's bellowing becoming shrill whistles of escaped air, and then it too like its many brethren fell back. Black dust slowly making it disintegrate. Deactivating the blade by stopping his energy flow into it, he popped the slot open, a dimmed crystal was removed, placing back into the rear pocket's case. He walked toward the wagon, looking into it with his azure eyes piercing the dark. He noted that there was a family of four inside, with supplies, local traders.

"Thank you, young man," The woman said while coddling his children.

The blonde smiled, nodding his head. He gave them a thumbs up, then thought for a minute. He got out his scroll, the glass frame lighting up. He typed a few words into a prompt, holding it out.

"Are you going to be okay?" The mechanical voice of the scroll said aloud.

The woman looked confused, "Did they hurt your throat?"

He shook his head in reply, repeating the question with the prompt. The woman looked at her husband, a large man, as he got out of the cart. He looked at where his horses used to be, prior to getting snatched up by the monstrous bird. He grumbled, cursing a little bit. He looked at the teen, who shook his head, and then walked back over to his wife. The woman shuddered, and then took a deep breath. She was about to tell the children to depart when the wagon was suddenly lifted up, they watched as the teen smiled at them.

"Holy shit kid, that's amazing," The husband stated but then watched him start to roll forward by walking. "You can't be serious; surely you're not seriously suggesting you pull our cart?!"

The teen smiled brightly nodding, relaxing the wooden beams on his shoulders.

The woman's husband sighed, reaching into his pocket, "If you can get us five miles into Sky Run, I can pay you more. I just wish I could repay you for killing those Grimm."

His wife looked at the boy, "What's your name?"

"Naruto. Uzumaki." The text to speech device said.

She then saw it, a massive scar over his throat. He became self-conscious and hid it. The teen watched as the man tried to hand him a few paper bills. He pushed them away, still balancing the beams on his shoulders. He looked on as rain clouds started to form, making curse inwardly. The group got the message, and headed in.

Smile leaving his face, the teen shook head, motioning for them to hop on. He watched as the reluctantly did so, and then felt the cart beginning to roll forward, their mind boggling at the strength of the teenager. The teenager began to march forward, his shoulders bearing the hundreds of pounds from the cart, bracing himself for the long journey. He began to whistle a tune, matching the tune of the original song as it played on his headphones. He thought of his family back home, across the sea, and smiled despite knowing that they would be furious with him missing his ship.

He marched forward, keeping a smile on his face.

Green.

A tan girl with green and orange wings flew through the woodlands of Vale. Her insect wings flapping, disappearing into green energy as she landed onto the ground. Rolling forward, her orange eyes targeted two Creeps, and she launched two arrows into them. The two twisted in pain before they blew up in a golden flash of light. She smirked, nocking another into her bow, aiming it down range before seeing a Beowolf charge towards her. She let it fly, the arrow whistled forward, catching it in between the eyes. She backflipped, her wings reforming before slamming down into the wolf that tried to attack her from behind. Landing on it, she used the moment it was stunned to sink an arrow from her quiver into its skull.

Noting the brushing of the grass around her, she can hear that more were on their way. She counted her arrows, frowning when she produced just four, and felt her twitch when more Grimm showed up into the area. Growling, she pouted before looking at the tree canopies, making sure if she had to fly, she would not hit a branch headfirst. Hard to defend yourself when your knocked out cold.

Kicking off from the decaying body, she twirled midair, targeting two more monsters. Loosing her arrows into the air, they whistled before thwacking into the center of the creatures. Their force slamming them deep, impacting their hearts. She smirked, landing into the green grass around her. Summer in Vale made everything so vibrant, one would be fooled into believing death was not around the corner. She felt sweat run down her back, her white tank top. Her midriff exposed, while her knee-high white skirt fluttered in the wind. Brushing a strand of mint green hair out of her face, she smirked as she saw five more of the beasts appear around her.

She whistles, and then says aloud, "Catch me if you can!"

Growing her energy wings back out. Taking off straight up as they charged, yellow powder glittered around her. She armed her arrow, placing a bit of red dust on the tip which made it ignite. She breathed as she stopped flying up, turning upside down, she launched her arrow. The arrow impacted in the center of the group of five, igniting the glittering dust into a massive explosion!

She twirled around in the air, tucking her energy wings in to avoid wooden debris. Landing back onto the ground, her single arrow flopped about her quiver. Grabbing it, she barely stabbed it into the eye of a Beowolf that was lunging at her. She smiled, pulling it out with a plop, and twirled the arrow back into her quiver. Her mother would have been proud of her, and then she saw her instructor. The man stood there, with his red eyes gleaming with pride. She smiled back, waving at him. He walked toward her, patting her shoulder.

He then raised his weapon up, his scythe coming down hard on a charging Beowolf, splitting it in half. Her eyes widened, realizing that she had forgotten one. He smirked, patting her shoulder, and watch her bow. Grunting, he then yawned, looking at the devastation around them.

"You know, Fū, you do not have to be sorry for simple mistakes. However, let this be a lesson to you, a final lesson. Always have someone watching your back, it will make life for you much easier, and longer." The man said to her, and then patted her back as he walked away.

She smiled, and raised up, "Hey Qrow, could I join you for a drink?"

"Do you even need my permission, Mosquito." He laughed, walking away from her.

Throwing her middle finger up at him from behind, she followed him. Walking into the tall grass, both of them watched as sun reached noon. The heat soaring to new heights, she watched his look, and then found him flying past her in his bird form. Taking this as a challenge, Fū grew her energy wings, and dashed froward before taking flight. Her master, and her danced midair, racing towards their favorite watering hole. His bird form easily ducked through the trees, while she had to be mindful about her route. Fluttering rapidly, her wings beat against the wind, both him and her diving after coming to a cliff.

Daring each other to be the last one to pull up at the bottom!

Red.

A large teen in red armor muscled his way across the snow sand. His red ceramic armor jingled in the cold winds. His crimson aura flowing around him as Sabretooth Grimm surrounded him. He growled, gripping his fists together, watching as the beasts surrounded him. The young man heard his earwig urging him to run, retreat, and regroup with his schoolmates from Atlas Academy. However, he did not and opted to crush the piece of electronic trash in his palm when he pulled it out. Tossing the debris to the ground, he grunted watching them trying to find an opening to charge through.

He bellowed, pointing at the Alpha Sabretooth, "Come get some, you toothy bastards!"

The first Sabretooth launched itself at him, getting caught by its throat, he crushed it in his massive hands. He slung the decaying body around, batting several others away. Two of them jumped on him, clawing, biting, but they could not breach his armor. He reached behind him, grabbing both, smashing their skulls to pieces against each other. Roaring with a primal rage, he launched himself, throwing a punch into the alpha's face. It obliterated the armor plating, black flesh, and sent the demon to the grave with an earthshaking slam into the ground. He felt his aura begin to boil, making him smirk as the snow and ice melted around him.

He grabbed the back of his armor, making steam fill the area. Several of the closer Grimm wailed in agony as the steam boils them. He simply walked, drawing his hand back to punch the boiling Grimm to pieces. He grabbed a retreating Sabretooth, ripping it in half. Beating his chest, the large teen threw himself forward, tackling a Beringel to the ground. He unloaded punch, after punch, and then reached down to pull its head off. He presented the apelike head to the beast's fellow Grimm, they backed away. He spiked the decaying head to the ground, roaring as steam increased in the area. The anger fueling the heat, making his aura boil.

Running, he clotheslined two more of the Beringels by jumping up. Gripping their throats, he then twisted his hands, breaking their necks. Roaring, he threw the decaying bodies into the other Grimm, running right through them soon afterward. He was an unstoppable machine of war, hatred, and boiling heat. His steam boiled the snow around him, making Grimm back up, but that same steam made him much faster. Manipulating it, harnessing it, he speared himself through several Sabretooth. Their painful death cries filled air, and on this iceshelf several more Grimm fell.

It may be a wintery paradise, Atlas always was, even in spring. He brought spring with him, however, one boiled Grimm at a time. He laughed as he made steam shoot out from his hands, frying any Grimm in front of him. He walked, boiling his enemies all around him, laughing manically all the same. He made it toward the edge of the iceshelf. Looking on as a transport started to fly up, and he looked behind him, throwing steam at some approaching Sabretooth. They backed away, yelping, some too severely burnt to survive for long.

"Burn, bitch, burn!" He screamed as he began laughing.

"Gods damn it, get in the frigging aircraft, Han!" His commanding officer screamed at him.

Han laughs it off, stopping his semblance as he walked backward. The aircraft moved to collect him, and it groaned as he got on. He laughed, flicking the Grimm off as they took off. He removed his armor's helmet, wiping sweat off his brow. Tossing it to the bed of the aircraft, he then removed the large water tank he had with suit of armor. He looked at his commander, smirking.

"You're such a moron," She chided him while crossing her arms.

"Uh, Remnant to Winter Schnee, I am a graduate now. Cannot be dumb if I graduated basic!" Han replied, laughing all the while.

Winter punched him across his head, "Shut the hell up, moron! You are still my junior, and I was going to second you to the main Atlas Academy. Oh, but kiss that goodbye, you bizarre dumbass!"

"Aww, I'll miss you commander," Han joked as he finished getting the armor off. "By the way, do you have the life feed from left shoulder? I cooked me some Grimm, do not want them to sit out too long."

"Shut the hell up!" Winter yelled at him, "You're lucky that you're actually a walking tank."

"Pfft, I'm not the tank," Han then declares with fire in his eyes, "I'm the frigging train!"

Winter promptly hit across the head again, this time leaving a welt despite the aura. He rubbed his head, chuckling, he was going to miss this. Out of all the people he went with, Winter Schnee, his mentor was by far the one that he liked most. He got away with a lot of things others dare didn't try, teasing her for one thing. Although, to be fair, he had owed them hits. He directly disobeyed her, but the Grimm population was a few.

"Okay, without killing me, how many Grimm did I kill?" Han inquired.

Winter sighed, pinching her nose, "Try thirty-six."

"New personal best," Han laughed as he leaned back. "Think I can still get into the main academy?"

"Ironwood will shoot you for the stunt you pulled," Winter replied, looking at him. "There's no chance in this life you're going to get shot over stupid crap under my watch."

Han joyously rouses the crew, "But we cleared a Grimm nest. Fifth one this week, which makes us the best leading team in the prep academy!"

Winter heard the crew cheering, but then smiled, "You may be a daft idiot…but I think you will be fine. Just do not boil anyone alive."

"Hey Winter," Han got her attention, "Any chance I can date Weiss?"

Winter glared daggers into him, and if she had been any other woman, Han would quickly begin testing on using his steam to fly. Weiss, even if he was joking, was a sore spot for her. He knew he messed up, shrinking back into his seat as she continued her death glare at him. She growled, balling her fist up, and then gave a dark chuckle.

"Maybe, just maybe Han, I can make you take a nap on the way back!" Winter yelled at him.

Han's screaming from the back made the pilots whimper, various thumps could be heard. However, one pilot laughed, if anyone could make Winter act this way it was their Han. Insane, risky, bastard as he was. That pilot owed that teen his life, and knew wherever he went, that team would be lucky!

Alloy.

Vacuo's desert erupted with activity as a crimson haired teen stood his ground. Blind Worms circled this lone teen, who watched with pale blue eyes as they spat acid at the convoy he was venturing with. He took a deep breath, flexing his hands as the sands around them flattened out. One hundred meters in a perfect circle, he made the sand basin flatten out. The children in the convoy were scared, and this made him furious as he pulled sand around them to protect them from acid showers. His own sand armor burning but shielding him from the worms' attacks. He watches as one of them charges, he smashed his fist into the sand, making it rise up into a large wall. It smashed itself against it but found it hard as stone.

"Gaara," one of the children called out, "My sister!"

Gaara, the crimson haired teen, watched as one of the children tried to go for a gun that the adults dropped. He used his free fist to make a hand made of sand. Shielding the girl as the Blind Worm shot acid at her. He roared out as he formed a dome around the children, and cowering adults. These settlers were not going to be able to survive out here long if they could not lift a finger to themselves. He got angry, and as one of the worms slithered over to him, roaring, its one singular red eye shining he ran forward. Cocking both his hands back, he threw them forward as the sand flowed like a tidal wave. It impacted the massive worm, making it roll backwards.

Gesturing his hands, harden spikes of sand held the creature in place. He saw smaller Grimm begin to race away from it, towards him. Forming more of the spikes near him, he launched them in a volley. They did not make it past fifty meters as they were slaughtered. He was breathing hard, and his head was pounding as he heard the people screaming for help. Their other saviors already feasted upon, and he turned to face against what the issue was.

Roaring out, the teen focused on the second worm, which was slithering toward the sand dome. He formed a large spear made of sand, throwing hard against the beast, watching as it pierces its singular eye. The secondary head moving around, he buried in harden by opening a hole under it. Slamming both of his hands into the ground, squeezing, he felt the harden sand squash the head of the beast. The remaining Blind Worm roared out as it rises up, shooting a stream of acid at him. He brought the sand toward him, blocking the attack.

He breathed hard, blood dripping from his nose. He looked at massive beast, and then thought of his sister and brother back home. They were graduated Huntsmen, and he was not the pride of his father's eyes like they were. He thought of his mother, who passed away, and then heard the children crying. He swore to himself, deep inside, that no matter what he would always be the shield!

The acid broke through the dome, but as it was about to splash on the occupants more flowed around them. Gaara's body screamed in pain as his aura shuddered against the acid, he growled, blood freely flowing from his nose. He screamed, slamming both fists into the sand. He formed two giant sand hands, clapping them together over the midsection of the worm. It squashed it, black liquid turning to dust around the area. He breathed hard, wiping the blood off his face.

He fell forward, just in time to get caught by several of the people. Watching as several smaller Grimm emerged from where the creatures had been. He took a deep breath, and then stood back tall. He clapped his hands together, smashing them away with a flowing wave of sand, and then squeezed it together with the squeezing of his hands. He felt them burst, anything his fuzzy eyes could not see, he could feel in the sand and earth. Watching as the last bits of the Grimm fell from the sand and fell to his knees. Breathing deeply, Gaara looked at the people, giving them a small smile before passing out.

The people helped him into one of the caravan flatbeds. Adults grabbing various medical supplies to treat the small acid burns on his skin, which started to rapidly heal once applied with salve. The children in the convoy watched their start to sleep, peacefully, but then looked at their adults who had given up earlier. There was a deeper shame, but it could not be addressed at the current juncture. The children made sure to take turns fanning the teen.

However, they noted that the smile he had never left his face.
