Molly Weasley looked around the kitchen in approval. Pots were simmering, spoons were stirring and the smells coming from the Aga were making even her stomach growl in anticipation. Molly reckoned she would be dishing up dinner for her family in ten minutes or so, so she figured she better start rounding everyone up.

A quick check in the lounge found Audrey and Percy watching Lucy and younger Molly playing Exploding Snap with Albus and Louis, while Rose read a book as she sat curled in the corner of the sofa. Percy looked up as she entered.

"Dinner nearly ready?" he guessed and Molly nodded.

"Better make that the last game, then go wash your hands," she instructed, and Percy and Audrey nodded, letting her know they would supervise the young ones.

Molly returned to the kitchen and looked out the window towards Arthur's shed. He and George had disappeared into it almost as soon as they'd arrived, along with Roxeanne, Freddie and James. As she looked out she saw the children leave the shed in heavy discussion and disappear round the side.

" They'll be up to no good," mused Molly aloud, " I'll have to get George and Harry to keep an eye on that lot."

Speaking of her only son- in -law, she spied him talking with Ron while her two littlest grandchildren, Hugo and Lily Luna chased after garden gnomes, who were hiding in the snow.

"What are they thinking, the babies will catch their deaths of cold," she sighed, as snow fell on this late October afternoon.

In the distance she could see Ginny and Angelina flying with Domenique. Teddy and Victoire appeared suddenly; it looked like they had been flying too but had headed back to the house before the others.

Victoire appeared to be talking non stop and it gave Teddy the perfect excuse to simply stare fondly at her. Even from this distance, Molly could see the signs between the two eldest.

" Hmm, it won't be long now," mused Molly.

"Matchmaking Mum?" grinned Bill knowingly, while Fleur tutted behind him as she checked the oven.

"They're young yet," replied Molly and she turned her attention back to looking through the window at her youngest grandchildren.

Hugo now sat perched on his daddy's shoulders as Ron called out something to Ginny and Angelina, who were coming up from the pitch. Lily had run down to her mummy but now ran back to her daddy.

Harry bent down and scooped her up, kissing her cheeks and spinning her around before bending and turning her upside down, making her giggle.

" That man was born to be a father," murmured Molly.

"Oui, and Lily Luna is such a daddy's girl," agreed Fleur, smiling to see Harry and Lily greet Ginny with arms wide open. " Shall I begin to plate up, Mama Molly?"

" Yes thank you dear, although, oh, here's Hermione now, thank goodness," sighed Molly.

Hermione stepped out of the floo and came straight to her mother-in-law, kissing her on the cheek.

" I'm sorry to be late, Molly, I got caught up at the ministry," she apologised.

" It's fine, dear, although I worry about you, working all the time," admitted Molly. "Here's Ron and Hugo, and Arthur and George too."

Hermione went to greet Ron and Hugo practically fell into her arms. The three Potters entered too, along with James, Freddie and Roxeanne.

" Everybody's here," she said softly to herself, sending a silent prayer to her own Fred, as she did at every big family gathering.

" All right, Mum?" asked George, touching her arm gently.

She looked up into his eyes and nodded. " Of course dear, my family is all here."

George nodded knowingly. " I'll round the kids up to wash hands and get seated."

"Thank you dear," smiled Molly, knowing Fred was in his thoughts all the time too, even after all these years.

As everyone started to seat themselves around the table, checking on children and several conversations going on at once, Molly smiled as she thought of the hard times they had once faced, her and Arthur. Not enough money for their young, growing family, and a war behind them, and one still to come. How far they had come in those years, and now her babies had babies of their own.

" A penny for your thoughts, Mollywobbles," said Arthur gently.

" Oh, they're worth much more than that, Arthur," chided Molly. "In fact, they're priceless." They both looked over at the table full of children and grandchildren.

" Just like you, love," said Arthur affectionately.

He took her hand and guided her to the table.

" Three cheers for the birthday girl," he called, seating her at the head.

" Hip Hip, Hooray," they all cheered. " Happy birthday Mum. Happy Birthday Grandma."

Happy Birthday Molly Weasley.
