Drug Brewing has leveled up!

Drug Brewing has leveled up!

It took a few days to get the materials and ingredients needed to begin using the new skill. What was even tricker was getting them without his mother and Izuku knowing. He didn't feel like explaining what he was doing with a lot of herbs.

His inventory solved most of the problem of sneaking it in. In his locked room, he held the finished product of the skill.

[Paralysis Drug]

[Effect: Paralyzes the target for 10 seconds.]

The skill leveled up a few times while he was brewing it, now laying on level 5. It wasn't much but it was a start.

'Now for the second part...' Isen thought, holding the vial of blue liquid in the air before throwing it down his throat.

Taking it all in a single gulp, he felt his body freeze up as he lost the ability to move. He struggled as his knees lost power and he fell to the floor.

You have gained Poison Resistance!

If he could move his lips, he would be smirking right now. The thought had occurred to him while he was reviewing the skill's information earlier. If he could come brew up poisons, shouldn't he try and gain some resistance to it while he was at it?

It was a 50-50 kind of thing, which was why he decided to test his theory with a harmless type of poison. Just before the tenth second reached, he could feel himself regaining control of his limbs.

'Interesting. While it paralyzes the target, the target doesn't regain full control of his body for about two more seconds.' He internally noted, though that was up for debate since he had begun developing his resistance towards it.

Getting off the floor, he pulled himself back to his desk which had his partially used ingredients laying on it.

He got back to brewing up more concoctions to test. For now, he would stick to poison to build up his resistance to it.

A few hours passed and Isen had become an acquaintance of the floor more times that he would like.

As his proficiency in Drug Brewing increased, so did the potency of the poison's created. That in turn was balanced out by his increasing Poison Resistance.

[Supplement Drug]

[Effect: Boosts muscle growth by 8%]

He couldn't help but be proud of what he had brewed up. He had grown a bit bored of the repetitive process of brewing the poison.

With the perk he got when he reached the 50 INT mark, he could remember each every thing he did in the brewing process...including the numerous times he repeated it.

Perks:

Perk Earned for reaching 50 INT

[Perfect Memory]

The ability to recall absolutely everything the user sees and experiences.

Perk Earned for reaching 50 WIS

[Wisdom of the Sages]

Increases all Skill EXP gain by 50%

The second perk was what made leveling up skills a bit less of chore. He unlocked these perks quite a while ago. Having a perfect memory wasn't as hyped up as people made it sound.

You can remember everything that happens in your life, both the good and the bad.

Shaking those thoughts out of his head, he cleared up the table he used, throwing them into his inventory for when next he would use it.

Clearing up his workspace, he took a quick shower to wash off any smell or dirt that he might have accumulated.

As he dried his body off with a towel, his mind drifted to the exhibition stage he was supposed to be preparing for. He still had no idea what to make and present to them.

He didn't want to do anything too extreme but he it seemed like he would have to make do with what he could think of, meaning that he would have to level up Engineering as much as he could.

'I guess I'm going to the library again.' He thought with a sigh as he put on some clothes.

*A few hours later*

'I've come to a conclusion...' Isen thought as he walked down the streets of Musutafu.

He kicked a stray can of soda on the floor, sending the can flying far away.

'Going to the library is pointless!' He realized after spending four hours...FOUR GOOD HOURS going through book after book in an attempt to level up Engineering to no avail.

He had spent irrecoverable time combing through books only to achieve nothing and the frustration he felt was immeasurable. He was normally calm and composed but he couldn't help but let a big of frustration leak out.

His hand lashed out to the side, slamming into the wall beside him. He grit his teeth, not feeling any pain despite slamming his hand with so much force.

"Young Midoriya..." A familiar voice said behind him causing him to turn back.

He quickly hid his frustration behind a calm expression as he regarded the man in front of him.

"Toshinori, fancy running into you here." He greeted.

"I just finished assisting young Midoriya not too long ago." He said as Isen raised a brow at his manner of speaking.

"We're both named Midoriya. Just call me Isen." Isen explains to clear up the repetitive use of names.

"Young Isen, you seem frustrated. What seems to be the problem?" Toshinori asked.

Leveling a look at the shriveled pro hero, he considered telling him the problem but he could see no merits in doing such.

"Nothing in particular. I just need to clear my head a little." Isen answered, dodging the question.

"You've been doing a lot of that lately. Who knows, sharing your problem might be just what you need." Toshinori advised the young boy.

"A problem shared is still your own problem. You're simply letting others know your incapabilities." Isen said immediately with narrowed eyes.

"That's...an unorthodox way of thinking about it." Toshinori said uneasily.

"That doesn't disprove its truth. Others won't always be there to help you when you're struggling." Isen ranted bluntly as Toshinori narrowed his eyes.

"Young Isen, why do you want to go to U.A?" The shriveled man asked with narrowed eyes.

"That isn't something you should concern yourself with." The boy in front of him said steely, his green eyes not leaving his own.

"I have to get back home. See you." Isen spoke, immediately turning to leave without waiting for an reply.

Watching the boy walk away, Toshinori couldn't help but wonder.

'Isen Midoriya, an enigma that I can't seem to understand.' He thought as he turned to the wall Isen slammed his hand into.

His eyes centered on the small crack that he made on the wall. Reaching out to touch the wall around it, he confirmed that the wall was in no way weakened which meant...

'What raw power!'
