Look who's back! Here's a hint it's me! XD, I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted a Whitechapel Adventure Story and since I'm about to reach the end of my yearly marathon and Halloween is upon us. I figured it's time to write another before I lose motivation to write. This story is inspired by Guys and Dolls another favorite episode of mine. Just like blood drive this story will have some Maberorkota moments (Yes that is my ship name for Mabel, Dakota, and Rory don't judge me I might dislike the threesome due to the underaged romance, but this ship is still my baby. But don't worry romance is toned way down for this story.) Anyway, I hope everyone likes this story because who knows how often I'll be able to post it enjoy the chapter.
Dolls, all girls love them, and all boys call them action figures, but I'm sure most of us had a phase where we would play dress up or playhouse with our friends when we were kids. Look, I know this is a weird way to start a story, but I promise there's a point to this. I'm sure there was a time you wished your doll could come to life and whisk you away to their land of make-believe, and who could blame you? On TV, they're advertised as your new best friend. Who wouldn't want these flashily dressed pieces of plastic to become human? But sadly, that wasn't a dream come true for my friends and me when Ethen's sister Jane Morgan accidentally brought her doll to life. And today, I will tell you the tale about an incident that wasn't as dazzling as it may seem.
The story I'm about to tell you took place eleven years ago; I was ten years old at the time.
Chapter 1: A Fix it Spell Gone Wrong
It all started on a calm Thursday night; Ethen's parents were out bowling, leaving him alone with his sister, our friend Sarah Fox and us.
"So," I spoke, lying alongside my friend on his bed. "Got any big plans for the weekend?"
Ethen turned to look at me and shrugged, "Not really. I'm really looking forward to just relaxing. I mean, after the vampire nurse incident last week, I kind of want a break from the supernatural."
I nodded, feeling the same way. After both the blood drive and rescuing Erica and Rory from vampire nurses, I was feeling kind of drained. Ever since moving to Whitechapel, we've been facing supernatural threat after supernatural threat. From taking out Sarah's ex-vampire boyfriend Jesse to the Head Cheerleader who has been mellowing out recently, I couldn't help but wonder what we'll face next. A herd of Werewolves? An ancient prophecy that could wipe out mankind; I shivered, I hoped we wouldn't deal with something like that anytime soon, but even if we did, I knew my group could handle its nothing we hadn't seen before during our travels. The quiet calmness was quickly broken by Benny Weir barging into his best friend's bedroom.
"Hey, Benny, what's up, man?" Emily greeted,
"Dude, your parents are gone, and we have the run of the house. Well, except for your sister and Sarah, your babysitter." He mocked, making his friend roll his eyes, "Do you have any idea what that means?"
"Does it rhyme with Gideovames?" Ethen guessed with excitement,
"Almost, Knights of Ninjitsu VI!"
"Wick!"
"Sweet." Emily gushed, getting excited to play,
"I had to wait five hours in line for this puppy, and I had to pee the whole time!" Benny explained,
"Well, this is going to be worth every bit of Kidney Damage." Ethen smiled, "Wait, why do we need the run of the house for this?"
"You know, so we can yell and stuff," Benny replied,
"You yell here all the time. Mom is constantly telling me."
"Do you want to play or not?!"
The four of us looked at each other and ran to Ethen's desk while I eagerly sat on the bed. Usually, I wasn't into this kind of stuff, but I've been looking for new fighting styles for my Kirby sword ability. I reached into my backpack to grab a pen and paper but couldn't find any. "Hey, I'll be right back. I need to grab some paper." I got off the bed and went to Jane's room to ask Sarah for help. Peaking inside, I saw Mabel and Mimi on the bedroom floor working on a scrapbook filled with our recent adventures and memories while Jane and Sarah were sitting on the bed.
"Debbie's my favorite, and now she's ruined." The eight-year-old pouted, seeing her doll had a broken leg.
"I'm sure I can fix her with some tape or something." Sarah insisted inspecting the toy,
"Then can we have a dance party?!" Jane asked,
"Um, sure. What else am I gonna do till your parents get home." She sighed,
"Hey, Sarah?" I asked, knocking on the door.
"Oh, hey, Dakota, what do you need?"
"Can you help me find a pen and a notepad? Ethen and Benny are about to play a new game, and I want to take notes for new fighting moves. Rory's been wanting to use the sword hat again." I smiled fondly, thinking about my crush, who I kissed for the first time in the back of an ambulance a few days ago. (Long story, by the way.)
"Sure, I need some tape anyway. Jane, we'll be right back." The teenage vampire said, heading downstairs with me.
"Hey, I think this picture could use more glue." Mimi noticed,
"I'm on it." Mabel nodded, grabbing the glue bottle and squeezing it. Only nothing came out. "Whoops, looks like we ran out."
"Come on, let's grab some more." Mimi ushered, getting off the floor.
"Alright, be right back, Jane." The two girls picked up the scrapbook and the empty glue bottle and went downstairs, leaving Jane alone.
"Noo, it's not fair!" Ethen yelled, making his sister curious as she went to see what he was up to, "I can't believe we burned out the possessor now."
"It's a sad day, that's for sure." Emily pitted, shaking her head,
"Wait, I think if I can jump these cables, we can get it working."
"Or we can just use a minor reparation spell. It can fix anything it says so right here." Benny suggested,
"Really," Jane whispered to herself, seeing a way to repair her doll.
"Ha! Booya, we're back in business!" Ethen cheered, grabbing the controller, "Come on."
"Sword-chopping business!" Benny added as he and Emily took their seats.
"Hmm, wonder what's taking Dakota so long?" Emily wondered,
"I'm sure she'll be back in a few minutes," Benny replied, not really paying attention as Jane snuck in and took Benny's spell book. Hearing the door close, Ethen looked back, thinking he heard something, "Hey, Dakota, is that you?!"
"Don't worry, Debbie; I'll fix you," Jane promised, reading the spell, except the results weren't what she expected,
"So, guess we got everything we need," I spoke, heading upstairs with my friends,
"Yep, good thing the Morgan's are so organized. I wonder when Rory will show up." Mabel wondered,
"When he does, I doubt Emily will let you hang out without her being with you," Sarah answered, remembering the incident last week,
"After last week, I don't blame her. You two did go a little overbroad, even if it was Benny's fault for casting that love spell in the first place." Mimi added, remembering Benny's failed attempt at getting a love life.
"Anyway, I'm heading back to Ethen's room. See you guys later." I waved,
"Later." The threesome waved,
"Hey, Jane." Sarah greeted, stopping in her tracks seeing Jane with a life-sized Debbie Dazzle,
"Hey, look what I made." She smiled, holding the girl's hand,
"Hi, I'm Debbie Dazzle. Want to play?"
"Uhh, Ethen, you might want to see this," Sarah called out.
And there we have it one life sized issue coming right up. I hope to post the second chapter soon, in fact I already finished it on the 24 of this month, so expect that to come out in the following days or tonight whatever comes first. I love you all and expect some more MBAV stories very soon I've got some really good ideas in my mind that I totally want to write out soon. With that said goodbye yall.
