This fic has been a long time coming, starting from a tiny plot bunny that has grown into so much more. I hope you all enjoy it.

Long ago, in a land much different from our own, lived a beast.

This beast believed that he was finally getting his Happily Ever After. His beloved had broken the curse on him and his servants, his family, and he was going to marry her. She agreed as soon as he asked.

While his beloved planned the wedding, the Beast was researching and planning. You see, after years of being under an enchantment, the Beast had come to hate magic. To wish it gone. His own story was one offence, but he knew there were others. A sea witch stealing a girl's voice, an old hag poisoning her step-daughter.

An evil-fairy cursing an entire kingdom.

So he searched day and night for a solution. And its form was a Fairy Godmother. A Fairy Godmother who's wand could turn back time. And if it could turn back time, then surely it could manipulate time so different stories were all in one place.

It took him a couple more months before he tracked her down, but when he proposed his idea to her, he knew he had her on his side.

For Beast wanted to round up all the villains, all the sidekicks, the anti-heroes who didn't pay their dues, the people who quietly or otherwise agreed or supported the villains, and throw them on their own island. A place where evil and dark magic couldn't work. Where they would no longer harm society. He even wanted to bring some back from the dead.

He didn't know her reasons, but the Fairy Godmother agreed. Together, they reached out to the wizard Merlin and to Zeus himself to make it happen.

Zeus was the hardest to convince, but maybe he saw something. Maybe the Fates told him something. Because he agreed. And together he, the Fairy Godmother and Merlin brought time and kingdoms together all onto one large continent and some small islands. If the rest of Earth was affected, it didn't show. And the Beast didn't care. His plan was working.

The continent was in chaos after that. Belle and Beast's wedding was postponed for a few months while kingdoms were finding their ground. But with help, Beast started to rise up in the ranks, bringing more and more kingdoms under his hand. When the wedding came, most of the Kingdoms in the land came. 6,000 people. Out of those 6,000, after the wedding during the party, Beast sought out some of the higher Kings and Queen, high advisors. The Sultan of Agrahbah, the former Queen Leah (who was at the wedding in place of her daughter and son-in-law, as Queen Aurora had just had her baby), the Duke of Weselton, King Frederic, King Triton. He sat them down with his plan, and all of them agreed. Together they were able to bring the neutral royals to their side, and shoot down those who fought against them.

The most vocal of them were thankfully still Princes and Princesses, not yet in charge. But the Beast did have to make some sacrifices. For Queen Anna he promised, swore and put in contract, that he wouldn't touch Elsa or Northuldra. For her and Princess Rapunzel, who had gotten King Frederic to fight him just a little on this matter, magic was allowed in certain kingdoms. Those Kingdoms were Agrahbah thanks to the Genie, Arendalle for obvious reasons, Tirulia for the mermaids, Olympus and the Greek village that came with it (though Beast really didn't have any choice in that), and Corona as Rapunzel's hair was once again returning thanks to all the magic she had been exposed to. Small magic was still allowed in other places, but he was trying to ban it.

Except for two other exceptions. Neverland and Wonderland. He really had no control over either, and honestly you don't want to mess with the fairies who help change the seasons, but it still irked him. Thankfully, very few could reach Wonderland, and Neverland was an island. An island he could have closed off if needed.

Little did he know that two exceptions were about to become three. But we're not there yet.

In less than a month after his wedding, Beast was elected High King of the United States of Auradon. The Kingdoms, while still there and ruled by Kings and Queens, ultimately answered to King Beast.

After the election was over, and changes were finalized, Beast was finally able to put the last part of his plan together. With an army, they set off to gather up the people who were to be sent to the Isle.

Beast had to make several deals. Some, like allowing Hades to access his powers and letting the likes of Aladdin and Eugene Fitzherbert stay with their wives, were things he was expecting. After all, even he had to admit that he couldn't really boss around the gods, nor was he willing to have an uprising with Agrabah and Corona so early in Auradon's existence. But the third deal was not one he ever wanted to make.
